Adobe After Effects Tutorial: Typewriter Text Effect with Blinking Cursor

open adobe after effects i've already created a composition to save your time you should create a new composition of 19 20 by 1008 pixels 30 frames per second and 10 seconds of duration select the type tool and add your text now align text to the center right click here go to the new and select the adjustment layer rename the adjustment layer to controls go to the effects and presets search the effect slider control now drag and drop the slider control on the adjustment layer cool lock the effects and controls panel now we need two more slider control effects select the slider control effect and press control plus d 2 times just like this rename the first effect to speed rename the slider control 2 to blinking speed and rename the third effect to start at perfect now this is the main part of this tutorial so watch it carefully just copy this expression you can copy this expression from the comments section go to the text properties then under the text hold the alt button on the keyboard and click this stopwatch icon to add an expression now paste the expression here we'll get this error so don't worry and follow the next step we've to replace some values so select the blinking speed text and drag this pick whip to the blinking speed slider cool now select the start of text and drag the pick whip to the start at slider ok now we've to make the last change select the speed text and drag the pick whip to the speed slider let's preview it it seems like the effect is not working let's change the values change the speed to 5. the text has appeared change the blinking speed to 3. and change the start at to 1. it means our text animation will start from 1 second let's preview it again cool it's working perfectly let's make it slower just change the speed from 5 to 2. let's make it faster just change the speed from 2 to 15 and also change the cursor blinking speed to 5. reduce the speed to 8. perfect now it looks amazing i hope you've learned a lot from this tutorial please hit the like button if you find this video helpful please subscribe to reset graphics for more tutorials thanks for watching you
