ACATENANGO VOLCANO HIKE, GUATEMALA 2021. GUY NEXT TOUR TRAVEL !

[Music] on this episode of guy next door travel we head to the central american country [Music] what's up guys right now i'm in the city of antigua staying at this really nice airbnb it was about thirty dollars for the night um to get here i took an uber it was about 45 minutes and i ran about 15 us you can take a bus but it was super easy to take the uber one of the big things i'm gonna do here is i'm gonna hike this volcano tomorrow um and i'm gonna be camping out there so right now i'm just gonna explore the [Music] city [Music] the next day i was up bright and early and i headed to tropicana hostel where i'd start my tour [Music] the hostel provides a breakfast as well as all transportation to and from the volcano after about an hour driving the van we arrive at the starting point for the hike unfortunately the weather wasn't so great but the staff provided plastic bags to keep us dry [Music] we then got a briefing of the hike and what to expect we began the hike sits at about 13 000 feet above sea level which is nearly 4 000 meters [Music] okay how's everybody feeling i can't open my nuts all right let's see where we are most people hike vulcan for the opportunity to see its sister volcan de fuego an active volcano here in guatemala that erupts every 15 to 20 minutes the hike is challenging between the changing weather the altitude and the incline we take breaks along the way to preserve energy [Music] after hours of strenuous hiking we drop our bags and break for lunch i think it's a pretty hard place [Music] [Music] [Music] after a quick lunch we grab our things and continue on [Music] [Music] oh all right guys so we got about hour and 25 minutes left we're just pushing forward [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] wow update i am officially the last person in the group everybody else is ahead am so tired i just can't wait to not be walking after nearly eight hours of trekking we finally arrive at the base camp despite a rainy start to the day we are blessed with clear skies and the perfect view of volcan de fuego [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] here we go here we go here we go [Music] [Music] yes as the day turned to night the view of the volcano became more impressive [Music] [Music] um also in the apartment there's one of these
