what does it mean to have great faith it means confronting adversity with the word of god it means declaring god's promises even when facing great obstacles [Music] it means seeing the promises of god great faith is placing your entire confidence in what god has said let this be a year of great faith i'd like for us to if you have a bible could you turn with me now to hebrews chapter 11. we're still walking through the hall of faith in hebrews 11. hebrew believers then we talked about uh enoch then we also talked about noah today we'll pick up the story in hebrews 11 verse 11 hebrews 11 verse 11 let's i'd like to read with you by faith sarah herself received power to conceive even when she was past the age since she considered him faithful who had promised and in verse 12 it says therefore from one man and him as good as dead were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as men is the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore let's just pray though we appreciate the faith of the earlier men lord we talked about but god thank you that for the unique kind of faith that sarah expressed thank you god for the way now lord israel to be able to also see our lives patterned after her faith and to be able to withstand impossibilities lord thank you for the grace in jesus name amen i see princess sarah because her name sarai literally means princess eventually a noble woman that's what the word sarah the name sarah means the idea of noble woman is you know it's a bit higher because she was a princess of a tribe tribe ibrahim and yet at some point god began to change her name uh god changed her name and allowed her to you know brought her to an even higher plane to one of royalty woman which is used of women in court so as we study her story okay study her story it's interesting because um women are capable of great faith too in fact there are so many women in the bible and it would be a love it would be an interesting study to actually s in a powerful way absolutely and sometimes especially in our culture you're somewhat inferior to others this message is for you if you're that person also who feels like your faith is second hand second hand experience with god and they they really put faith in god you're sort of thinking yeah that's my parents faith but here i am i'm still struggling i'm not so sure and we're gonna take a look at the journey of faith and hopefully we'll bring your second hand faith to in a personal matter now final a a final purpose of this message is for those of us whom you feel like your journey in faith has been going up and down like that men and women of the bible are very similar to you and hopefully you'll also be able to under uh to to relate with princess sara's story in hebrews chapter 11 in verse 11 and by faith sarah herself received power to conceive even when she was past the age since she considered him faithful who had promised let's recount the story of sarah leave your country your people your father's household go to the land i will show you this he took a step of faith and the family followed him and sarah his wife followed him so naturally whether or not sarai understood it at that point she just said yes you remember that story i think we've gone through several different series on abraham already i know 75 in your own journey with god you'll recognize that at the beginning you will have second hand faith you will ignore faith personal encounters something really bad to us at that point feel affirmation lord salam you see me you actually notice me you actually are mindful of me you actually see me from afar i just i used to just follow the faith of my master abram but now you've seen me you've protected me yourself welcome household let's pick up the story now okay interesting statement that she also considered him it says there as faithful since she considered him faithful who had promised my faith in him that was promises many of us you probably walked with god for so long now you don't feel like god is so near and so close and that his promises are really happening in your life in fact you look at other people and you say grab a mancilla great faith oh let me say this now in reality we are we all have our growth stages in faith in fact you could look at faith as growing from this level to this level to this level but let me also give another perspective a growth pose of faith hindi and patas this way okay horizontal what what what do that you were able to do that in reality that person has applied faith in one area of his life in the business you prayed for your parents your parents received also put their faith in jesus you prayed for your friends they've also you know also responded to god so young faith believing god for salvation you're actually strong in that area pero in the area of finances so the way we grow in faith is not just to grow in terms of your ability to believe but to actually apply faith in the different areas of your life so your faith grows when you now apply faith in restoration of relationships your faith grows when you apply faith in your finances in your business in your employment in your academics in school you apply faith when you believe god for restoration in your family apply faith when you believe god for healing we do not consider ourselves to have great faith because there are always areas in our lives it's almost like it's an impossibility in your life and tayonna because we're regular humans we usually think about what's wrong in our lives more than think about what's right faith no in reality you already have faith in the other areas your faith has grown in other areas now learn to apply that same faith and persevere in this area of your life and breakthrough i'd like to affirm today's for those of you especially for those of you who walked with god for so long you do have great faith there is a faith in you that is so concrete you have experienced god nara in fact to have you feel discouraged in your faith remind yourself that you've actually seen god produce breakthrough in the different areas of your life and begin to believe that god could also do it in this particular impossibility they were walking with god they've been working with god for almost 10 years now lord hindi parana because at some point she felt mistreated she began to despise and this has been part of the foolishness of our lives afterwards blessing without trouble added the fulfillment of god's promises blessing with no trouble adam and that's what we would like to continue to believe for back to the story of sarah experience at some point with ishmael okay apparently turn around and journey as we continue the story in genesis 17 all right genesis 17 says this and god said to abra to abraham as for sarai your wife you shall not call her name sarai but sarah shall be her name genesis genesis 15 and genesis 17 the corona encounters see abraham encountered in a firmly lord young covenant with abraham hindi passion your identity identity will change now in the old testament when god calls people testament it's usually in two ways changes your name and when god changes your name that's a landmark in your relationship with god because now god redefines you as for sarai god began to exalt her affirmation shall be there's something that happened to me my name changed what does that mean he calls things he calls things up he goes things as though they are even though they are not big you are a mighty man of valors how could that be i'm the weakest in my clan in you know in the family of manasseh god would assure you affirm you give you a new identity now in your own journey in your own life journey this happened the day that god made a covenant with you and that you responded to the covenant of god do you remember that no i'm not born again as a response to his love and what he's done for me at the cross that day you have entered into covenant with god kathleen abraham young covenant of circumcision that's big god gave you a new identity the oldest gone and the newest come you are now a child of god and in this moment new identity ebook sabine you now have a capacity for faith now has a capacity to actually experience god in a great measure so in this point i will bless her and moreover i will give you a son by her i will bless her and she shall become nations kings of people shall come from her does it sound familiar it sounds familiar because it's the same covenant that was given to abraham in genesis 12. now god makes it personal for sarah so it the king is egypt and uh and king abimelech and i will and i will be and now i've changed your name and now i'm giving you the same promise and this time faith is you know certain verses would jump out at you and certain promises would be highlighted have cesari eventually in the king sarah group in a short while and shall actually believe that he who promised is faithful verse 19 it is will come from him but then he says this but god said no but sarah your wife shall bear you a son shall bear you a son right before this tomah was abraham that's abraham and you shall call his name isaac laughter i will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant to his offspring for his offspring after him that's genesis 17 song important promise is happy lord the lord said i will surely return to you about this time next very concrete my time frame now this time next year and sarah your wife shall have a son and sarah was listening at the tenth door behind him now abram and sarah were old advanced in years the way women had ceased to be bizarre the way of women is menstruation so 89 years old so sarah laughed to herself saying after i am worn out and my lord is all shall i have this pleasure ah and i renign the lord not reading the lord the lord said to ibraheem abraham why did sarah laugh and say shall i indeed bear a child experience is anything too hard for the lord at this point god rebuked sarah rebuked her unbelief rebuked her doubts god gave a promise to my master to my to my husband and now god has protected us and blessed us and you know prospered us in the wilderness of canaan god has protected me from the king of egypt and king abimelech and now god has spoken to me the same promise that he's given to abraham and now because i still fail to believe god now rebukes me is anything too hard for the lord at the appointed time says there i will return to you about this time next year and sarah shall have a son but sarah denied it i did not for she was afraid sabine lord dagdag pana rebuke no you did laugh oh nareniko you did laugh you did laugh that was sarah's journey let's see how that how that applies in your own life personally faith i now believe in him personally have you already entered in your covenant with god and has he changed your identity are you now a christian a believer who the oldest god in the newest come and now do you have a capacity for faith oh yes and then when god repeatedly gave his promises he actually mentioned your name and he actually affirmed the conclusion is finally after that a year later she actually she actually con sorry a year later she actually gave birth to isaac so apparently this was sarah's sarah's changing point turning point bigness god already gave you his promises god already gave you his assurance of the future god already told you his will and his purpose for your life you now have a personal faith in god and yet at some point you waver is by faith sarah herself received power to conceive now this is important when sarah received power to conceive a journey of faith in a matter it was a journey and god allowed you to gradually grow in your faith by obeying him in the increments and god allowed you to grow in your faithfulness empowered to conceive to consider this either you have it or you do not in fact it says when she was past the age nothing about sarah contributes to the fulfillment of the promise nothing about her past contributes in fact her past disqualifies her from the promise think about that if you're ever at that point in your faith there is nothing in her that will assure that the promise will be fulfilled and now she's 89 years old the way of women has ceased to be has ceased to be with her tapos one year before [Music] faith only operates on the basis of the grace of god in fact faith receives what the grace of god has already accomplished faith simply receives what the grace of god has already accomplished dahil lord by faith i receive what you promised and in that moment receive power to conceive because you see lord kanye god in that moment god can give you power to conceive nothing about your past contributes to the fulfillment of the promise which is why it is by faith and by grace the grace of god makes allowance the grace of god is available the grace of god is capable of creating something out of nothing in your life that's exactly what jesus died for you and which is why you believe by faith now implication put on by faith then it has to be personal initial preparing faith if you believe in god for healing it has to be your faith now of course god also answers the prayers of other people on your behalf hindi lang young fulfillment of the brah i know many of us would love the fulfillment of the promise because that's a blessing but there's a greater blessing to that a personal experience of god by faith by a personal faith you have believed in god and received his promise here you are you're the greater blessing is that you will experience god at katula don't belong protecting me fighting on my behalf blessing my family through me and allowing us to experience finally the fulfillment of the promise ending begins and the lord and capacity and power to conceive and that's a one-time thing i know not a one-time thing that's an instantaneous thing it can happen to you several times but it's instantaneous this is completely by grace god just gives it to you in this moment what would be your response an area of impossibility in your life i would like for you to think about that right now it's something that you receive from god by faith so what do you do you look at that impossibility right now and gather every other faith that you have applied in every other area of your life and begin to believe that lord you've actually grown my faith already so now in this moment lord impossibility lord today i would like to ask you for the power to conceive some of you have been praying for this for 10 years now you know change your prayer a bit i mean get get a greater level of expectancy lord could it be today lord will it be today you come here again on a sunday you worship god on this morning and are you part of your prayer lord could it be today could it be this week lord that you will give me power to conceive in this area lord could it be today could it be this month could it be this year this time lord young faith goals go copy paste 10 years ago lord could it be this year that's faith that receives the grace of god what the grace of god has already accomplished and hopefully you'll be able to receive power and not hopefully believing that you will receive power to conceive allow me to wind down therefore from one man i love that word another for matt indiana and personal blessing it tells us about several other things that will happen afterwards because coming from that the promise of god has been fulfilled in the life of abraham now let me tell you this side note lungs among wives the purpose of god for your husband could not be fulfilled without you the purpose of god for your husband and for your family could not be fulfilled without you wives i pray you may begin to rise up and begin to have a greater confidence in your own walk with god that you are blessed god notices you god sees you god sees what's happening in your life and god allows you to participate in what he intends to do for your family and the purpose that he has for your husband could never be fulfilled without you nita that's how important you are in god's eyes in god's sight therefore nyan hindi lanyan in one time because it multiplies across generations give you an example let's say you believe god lord give me the power to conceive finally after 10 years of believing finally and therefore therefore from one birth you would now produce five more families coming from you that's big language either some leadership groups the leaders convergence was a church and there's 50 people here that are believing god to also conceive and out of that 50 families would be born your singular experience of receiving the fulfillment of your promise has therefore generations after that you'll be able to experience a multiplied effect simply because god was faithful to you to summarize all that no sarah considered him faithful who gave the promise then she received power to conceive and therefore god fulfilled the promise of a great nation coming from them excited would somehow inspire you and actually help you understand lord so god it's a personal faith yes and it could be this week it could be today yes and nothing of my past contributes to it nothing and yet i can still put faith yes it is by grace yes and lord even though experience yes lord [Applause] consider me faithful so that i might produce for you the fulfillment of the promise that i gave you to begin with side note sisara on a personal level indian guinea lord genesis 20 genesis 21 6. finally and sarah said god has made laughter for me it's a low moment when sarah laughed about god's promise and yet god in his own sense of humor would actually ask them to name their son laughter isaac god could actually redeem it absolutely yes because now the laughter is no longer about laughing about the promises of god but it is now joyful laughter and celebration big lambina lortiner around like that god can redeem every area in your life in the past that seems to be unanswered every area in your life that god has given a promise that until today has not yet been fulfilled god can actually turn those things around even those areas in your life that you feel like lord i have really had a bad performance in this area it disqualifies me from the promise being fulfilled even in that moment you could put faith in god and say lord could you turn my lowest moment of laughing about your promise and turn it into laughter and celebration hi any lord baguin and she said who would have said to abraham that sarah would nurse children yet i have borne him a son in his old age the dignity of her identity as a woman has been restored when that time some of you here the promise that you've been asking god to fulfill when it gets fulfilled this is what's going to happen your identity and your dignity shall finally be restored i'd like to ask everyone to stand up one final story as we we're going to worship in a while jonah the you to attend church here in fort now they serve in pioneer tapas kinase alpha malar in 1995 1995. three years later nanganaksila their son tristan and then three years later they had another son in the womb but around eight months congenital abnormalities their son their second son the current miscarriage he died they believed every single year tristan they were training to stand believe god let's believe god for another baby another brother as a sister sibling for you and yet that over a span of ten years that happened that happened two more times two more times between the sixth to the eighth month [Music] miscarriage he was around 13 at that time already [Music] it's all right dad we can ask god again for another sibling we can ask god again for another child and you know what 11 years they waited 11 years they waited finally they had another son jace tristan is now around 20 years old and she joined about she was 45. [Music] past the usual childbearing age yeah but god did it for her you see you can ask god again you can ask god again maybe maybe maybe or rather let's move to a greater confidence lord could it be could it be that it will be this year lord i'd like to ask you again could it be this month lord i'd like to ask you again could it be today that i will receive the power to conceive the breakthrough we've been asking for and believing for i'd like to ask you for the next moments to imagine that one area in your life one major impossibility that you've believed god for so long and you're going to come to god now i'd like for you to listen to what god has to say about that area some of you will probably hear a rebuke then go ahead and repent some of you might hear an encouragement go ahead and receive that encouragement but in the end as you imagine that area of impossibility this is what i'm going to ask you to do i'm gonna ask you to go to god and say lord by faith i receive the grace that comes from you give me the power to conceive go ahead and take the next moments this is your personal conversation with the lord and then we'll worship in a short while [Music] lord is anything too hard for you probably not lord would you today in this moment reveal yourself to every single one of us and i was to personally hear your voice and hear your affirmation lord encourage our faith lord in this moment i pray encourage our faith allow us lord to lord to go see beyond the impossibility the fulfillment of your promise for us lord in this moment we look back at our lives and nothing lord in our lives qualifies us for this and yet lord you wish to give this to us by grace and so lord today by faith lord we enter into this covenant lord we we embrace your grace lord that's given to us and by faith personally lord we believe and today we receive the power to conceive lord we begin to thank you even now lord all across this place we begin to thank you god lord thank you for the fulfillment of this promise lord even now i pray lord for hope lord to come faith lord lord just to arise in each one of us so we begin to thank you lord for the fulfillment of these promises the answer to the prayers lord thank you that you are a faithful god and in this moment lord encourage our faith i hope you restore your promises sure and i am convinced that you are faithful my hope you restore your promises sure is sure and i [Music] oh in your name [Music] no we believe today if all things are passing oh oh i see your eyes [Music] i see you lord thank you oh lord thank you lord thank you god lord even now lord thank you for encouraging our faith this morning lord allow us to persist in that god hold on to it let this be a personal faith lord that would grow strong in each one of them and today i bless them in the name of the lord i bless them with the power to conceive lord i bless them now lord with the power your power lord to be able to create out of nothing lord your power to surmount impossibilities in their lives lord even now we decree answers to prayers breakthroughs lord coming to each of them and the families they represent lord even now lord all across this room lord i pray today open the flood gates of heaven lord for every single one of them as they believe lord today we decree healing restoration of families lord provision lord in miraculous and impossible ways lord even our breakthroughs coming to them grace on a personal level healing from disease even our lord breakthrough from personal sin habits god i pray lord let this be the day let this be today let it be this week lord let it be this month let it be this year we receive this from you now in jesus name we pray amen amen amen may the lord bless you and keep you may the lord cause his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you may the lord turn his face towards you and grant you his peace in jesus name amen the lord bless you everyone you
