Ableton Live Looping with Waves OVOX and Teenage Engineering OP-1 - No Deeper Escape

[Music] [Music] dog faces see we feel there's no deeper skin [Music] I won't feel guilty for this blow commissions of basra more [Music] [Music] [Applause] there's no deeper escape [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] hey everyone hope you enjoyed that performance of my new track no deeper escape I wrote it last week and arranged the performance [Music] [Music] [Music] I've been practicing my head off like you just saw in the diary footage and I wrote it using the waves Oh rocks plug in the new plug-in from waves audio super cool super fun looser textures in the song with that plug-in I'm going to show you them now and you probably saw the op1 and of course Ableton Live and that was just about it really created the track from scratch on the spot in the performance I'd love to do that's quite thrilling so first of all let me show you some of the textures that I made using the over ox plug-in that waves so kindly when I met them at Nam gave me a code and I got to play with it and yeah it's really really cool it's also a bargain so if you like harmonizes and things like that I'm really into Harmonizers I've obviously got Helicon bt4 so this one is really cool to have like a software version so let me show you a Vox in action I'm gonna do a little loop now I'm gonna turn my click track up here my headphones and I'm gonna show you with and without a Vox and I use three different presets in the intro I've like modded the presets a little bit just to make my own kind of sound so let me show you the first preset I've used at the beginning of my song and what I've guys got a MIDI channel send in a nice big C minor chord to this channel so what I actually sing is just one note and I'll show you now without the MIDI loop it up now send the MIDI yes Oh walks is super powerful yes and cool and then I a second preset use it's like she's kind of this pretty sound sound a bit like a cat there but and the third one is my favorite actually it's an arp so there's an arpeggiator you know vox as well so check this out i'm gonna trigger the midi and start the vocal loop Ashley I'll just do the vocal first so you can hear it without the arc [Music] now with a Vox is so cool and then what I've done is I've those three vocal channels and put in a group in Ableton big fat reverb and then I'm just triggering a scene just letting that reverb tail hang over and that's what I do in in the intro of my performance the other presets I'm using are on the lead vocal channel itself so there's already a bit of auto-tune on there this the first time I've use autotune in performance I think it suits the song though so I hope you guys like it too but yeah I've got two ov ox plugins as well on the same Channel and what I do is I toggle them on and off throughout the performance so one of them is is cool like Phase II sound which I kind of like to throw in at the ends of phrases so like and I tell myself that it's good for me and then I've got this one which comes on halfway through the song and it's makes me go down an octave and I just think it sounds really deep and cool and like in this section of a song [Music] it's actually super fun to perform with so yeah I'll put a little link to my presets as well below if you guys want to play with them so yeah so that's the overall sounds in the piece I've also got the the op1 which I've mapped to a cool effect in ableton and then I've got some little kit that I made as well so and that is really all the sounds and also Ashley one sound that I pre-made we use in O Vox this this sound as well I what I did with that was a vocal and I added loads of o box plugins froze and flattened it and then chopped it up so I really hope you enjoyed that performance guys like I said o box is a bargain link in my description go and check it out it's really really fun there's a link to my presets there too and also if you like the track I'm gonna put that my bank amp and if you do want to know like a bit more the ins and outs Ableton how I put this together you know my thought process and all of that then head to my patreon there's loads of videos on how I like construct and build these performances and basically how I spend my life so yeah I hope you enjoyed this video and I'll see you next time you
