ABANDONING Our Campervan In MOROCCO 🇲🇦

welcome back We are touring with the kids and we've been traveling on the road for almost 2 years it's been an incredible journey that has taken us all the way up to the Arctic Circle and having recently moved into our self-converted Lorry called Tory we have driven all the way from the UK to Africa where we're about to arrive at a very special place this is this is the destination people say we live this could be a we [Music] Dre what place guys to start this week's video we are still in the ziss valley which means we are a Stones Throw from muga the Sahara Desert crazy on the weekends dancing in her and I love the way she looks in my eyes and I feel Midnight's getting closer and I just want to hold her in my arms the right so we just turned off the main road and I've had to turn my TomTom off which I don't like doing that's my TomTom satav and put Google Maps on because my TomTom for some reason isn't loading these roads uh and the reason I don't like turning my TomTom off is because that has all my vehicle dimensions in so generally if it says I can go there I can go there so Google doesn't do that so I'm hoping I don't end up in some little village down here we'll see but it shouldn't be far it's only another kilometer or so see that L that the cam on it all we should get H yeah we should that looks really cool doesn't it Teddy they've got their out should we just go here yeah this is a lovely lovely campsite great first impressions owner was really welcoming well I'll push you in a minute really welcoming you know shook the kid hands pick Teddy up give him a cuddle told us about his own children as well so yeah I think we're going to like it here so we're going to be treating ourselves at this campsite because they have a little menu and they sell Tajin and beef skewers they also do cuscus Fridays and soup on Saturdays so it's a Thursday today so we're going for tajen and skewers and we're going to just me and Rick are just going to share them we've already fed the kids they've just had beans on toast today which don't feel sorry for them cuz they are more than happy with that so we fed them early and we booked in our food for halfast 6 and we're going to be eating it inside the Lorry cuz we don't have an outdoor table it would be lovely to eat outdoors but we don't have an outdoor table and we need to get one so we think Rick's going out see if there is what a table anywhere um but I think we'll probably eat at the table in here dinner wow that looks amazing that looks really good that actually looks a really good one does isn't it oh you going to put the lid going to put the lid yeah good point uh can you turn the skewers around and then I'll put the lid just here that looks a good one e the skewers look really good as well oh I tell you what that looks that's a lot of food babe that is we got a feast on our a lot food so what we got we got peas potato carrot tomato tomato and underneath all of this will be some nice beautiful beef beef yeah I forgot what we went it was a beef wasn't it beef to je right I think we'll just get stuck in [Music] absolutely right guys the day is here this is what we've been waiting for where are we going guys Sahara Desert Sahara Desert there we go we are heading off to the Sahara desert today so all that's left is pay our bill here it's been a fantastic stop at camping Haku if you are going to moua definitely popping here we had the tajine uh and um beef skewers last night they were absolutely gorgeous absolutely stunning so well worth that so yeah we're going to settle up here and then hit the road for about an hour and a half to the desert can't believe him even saying that and it's going to be my birthday tomorrow it's P's birthday tomorrow yeah what a fantastic place to have a birthday so we're all looking forward to that as well all right so I've just settled up it was 400 de which is about £31 so for two nights uh no electric uh and a beautiful meal and a washing machine y you know all for 31 quid so a bargain but he's just said come next door to his sister's house to get some bread and they're cooking up some bread now so we're just going to go see looks amazing this does look really cool actually oh look at that kids oh wow it's really thick bread it smell good yeah it does doesn't it beautiful lovely and it is good we've had two of these now haven't we yeah still nice and warm oh smells [Music] good sh in Mountain [Music] now you can see the Junes it's incredible this is this is the destination [Music] so we're just arriving at our um our campsite now and there's probably about 10 camels just outside this is insane like literally the biggest uh sand June is literally right there this is like un this is crazy I don't even know what to say it's very cold I know perfect yeah just to interrupt the magic of the place we're in we now need to empty our Gray West right so that's us parked up obviously Sandy that's the obvious so we've actually used um we've used uh in fact I'll quickly show you we've used our wedges and our our mats for the first time I think it's the first time I think we used them once in France actually so our mats are these yes so we got one on the front we' got a pair on the back this side we actually go gone up on the ramps there we go so we got one there and I think I'm actually going to buy another one another ramp because at the back we're only up on the single so we're only up on the inside one now these these firer I don't know what they're called but they're femer ramps the yellow ones I think they're rated 10 ton I think it's 10 ton per wedge so they're really really good um but as I said my buy another one so yeah we got parked up need to go show passports and do all the formalities and then we will show you the incredible view we've got this is awesome Jack is in his element this is literally crazy literally just stepped outside the campsite gate and you are in the purest of Sands look at this let's go there Kira's off there kir you've got the big camera do not get sand in that oh Teddy let's have a look Teddy's climbing up already look we got a view of the camels over there too how insane is this hey Jackie come come say what do you think pippy what do you think great good so good oh my God hey Mr Ted what do you think of this buddy is it so good yeah it's biscuit is sand and walk well I think the verdicts in this place is insane this is absolutely crazy I said to K inside the reception cuz you can hire motorbikes at some place um I should hire a motocross bike I've had lots of motorbikes in the past love my motorbikes what a place what an incredible incredible place got someone coming over what got someone coming over we've been colled already someone's making his move over to sell us something [Music] run oh you put sand yeah yeah very good very good 20 20 yeah one yes just one thank you oh it's okay thank you Mercy as we said before it's Piper's birthday tomorrow and we've not been able to get her much she's got a few sweets vegan sweets and some candy floss some bubble gum but that's about it because it's just been really hard to find the normal stuff we'd get for birthdays so that guy you know coloring was actually he saved us a little bit didn't he he did he saved our bacon so he has these little glass tubs with muga written on them nice little bit of string nice pink cap really pretty and you you you put your Sahara Sand in it so it's like a little souvenir yeah um he wanted 20 dam for this so like €2 like1 80 I didn't even barter with him I know some people say bter for everything but actually that is and she's going to love that she's going to love that it's a perfect souvenir for the Sahara I'll have to glue the lid on because if that gets opened up inside the LA in a bed in a bed that would be [Music] terrible so today is a very special day it is my birthday so I've got a little bit of money to spend so we're heading out to the shops and I'll see what I can spend me [Music] up oh I feel I feel I feel I feel so alive that's good that does look good can you see yourself yeah in in the camera you can wind is did want to find out as we went like how much each thing cost but he was a little bit hesitant to tell us as we went he s of said oh shop Round and stuff like that so we'll see how it gets on final price I think okay so the time time has come the first time since we have moved into Tor we are leaving her we've left her in the campside behind us only for one night we're going to spend the night so we've just watched the sunset had a little dance out here in the desert Ted's not feeling it bit of reality there but we just looked in the opposite direction and see this white thing poking out the sky and it's the moon but the moon has never looked this big like we've never seen it's like a moonrise going on and it is stunning it's absolutely beautiful guys oh just add to what Kira has said the moon behind us you can't really see it's that tiny little dot there somewhere it's huge but that's actually coming up over Algeria the mountains over there is Algeria we're that Clos touch and distance that moon is phenomenal cross that border though can you that Border's been closed since when 94 I think 94 something like that crazy look at that amazing what an evening in this yet it's definitely not over it's only just getting started okay we just arrived what a fantastic entrance that was oh my gosh like exhilarating let's be honest exhilarating entrance and this looks beautiful doesn't it this looks absolutely phenomenal it's stunning look at this I have to show you this guys look at this okay guys so you enter through your own door and what an entrance look at that so we're staying at ideal desert Camp they've got a five bed room which is obviously perfect for us and any other families but it's so so spacious the floor is made up of all these rugs dotted everywhere and the beds are just fantastic their own blanket lots of pillows even as a hat nice bit of storage and then they got this room L like a traditional room just to ch chill out maybe drink some tea they also provide some proper Berber clothing for you to wear I think at dinner and some shoes down there lots and lots of [Music] space makeup table for the girls and the bathroom look at that hello beautiful toilet behind there which is great apart from the uh you'll probably be S be able to see people's feet so you'll know when people are pooping and a shower which he says has got blistering hot water which is perfect well this gu has to be up there with it's the best I'm not even going to say up there but this is the best like one of the best feelings I've ever had is like what we've just done there on the way here and arriving into this tent honestly like I feel so good right now yeah like the drivein was spectacular we were so lucky to get sun set and moon rise so we got both uh the Jeep ride was incredible and the entrance ISC what what an entrance what an entrance if only we didn't have the kids here no don't be mean it's beautiful honestly the kids are so happy and Piper is just like like that is a best birthday like we next year is going to be difficult that's what I'm saying next year is going to be it's going to be tough It's going to be tough to beat this let's go and see the birthday girl see how she is see you later Mom all right pippy yeah enjoying your birthday yep got my red set bit big with your hat yeah you have to you have to wear that for dinner no yeah it's a country and western theme I'm going to wear my scarf though you are going to wear your scarf oh cool we have to figure out how to put it on though right yeah you get SP wouldn't it be it's about actually having the space yeah to air out it's beautiful but it does smell like a rug it smells handmade which it is and it smells natural which it is so think it's enjoy my friend but it's hot be careful very hot maybe dip your bread to start how are you very good enjoy good Teddy it's going to be very very nice what sort of soup is it it's a with w you know whe but after ma after then Rose and spice paprika salt car very nice give this a [Music] try nice yeah yeah quite a sort of mild flavor nothing too strong um can taste the cumin in it he did say that was cumin yeah Taste of paprika little bit of paprika yeah very nice good stuff I'm going to dig in some more now more food yeah big SP that big SP that was quick that was delicious I really like that I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to food but that was superb the second course has just been served it's a salad of some sort and we just sat here trying to figure out what sort of salad it is Ted is not happy to even have it in front of him um but yeah Rick's a little bit hesitant too as he just said he's a little bit nervous when it comes to trying new food I'm not B fan of s you're not I think we'll let him try before me shall we I will let just daddy try any idea I think it is fish like a tuna salad yeah it's a fish of some description I think there's cucumber avocado and a little flakes of tuna in it that's perfectly nice that was cucumber that was cucumber M what cucumber and there's like little bits of lettuce what's cucumber what is the Cucumber I think you like it R I'm not so sure oh wait what was that what did you just have I don't know but I didn't like it I think I think it was the fish it's not chuna I don't know what sort of fish it is aroke artichoke a vegetable was an an I think yeah I think it's an in which case yeah I think's right and that is not my thing um but I might have a few bits of cucumber perfect you like thank you say vegetarian salad with beef with beef yes meat beef yep so that's me y thank you right Jackie slow down you tell us what we've got for dessert fruit salad with a little spice of cake and what sauce is all over the top of your fruit chocolate sauce [Music] okay so we thought the night was over then you know the meal was done uh but we've just had a look up and the they're playing the drums and got the firet so the kids are already in the pajamas we're not going to get them changed again no we're just going to head down there have a little look it is 510 so we're not going to stay up too late but we're going to have a little look and then yeah
