Abandoned House in Portugal Renovation - 3 Year Timelapse

hello and welcome to Portugal which is normally a little bit nicer and sunnier and a little bit less gray and drizzly than it is today but it is the autumn in fact it is Tuesday the 17th of October 2023 and 3 years ago today we signed the papers and bought this house that you can see in the background now it had been abandoned for almost 20 years and needed a lot of work and that is what we've been doing for the last 3 years and so in this video we're going to try and show you almost everything that we've done to the house in that time we've also done a lot of land clearing we've got a nice veg Garden we've got a small flock of chickens but today we're going to be focusing on the house and we're going to show you everything we've done so far and at the end we'll show you what it looks professional plasterers lime persons any of that this is very much a DIY job we've just worked out how to do it by doing it yeah a mess on my already well that's why we put the cardboard [Music] down so it's basically just a lot more of that it's not particularly difficult but it is a bit fly and very timec consuming I think we're going to get Kylie to have a go and see how she gets on then we'll probably just stick the time lapse on so you can watch this work I mean I would just do it a bit slower in smaller sections than what you do getting the job done well why don't you try and lift some of it onto the tra and see yeah I don't have the coordination I don't know how to do that now is a great time to practice a few thousand people are watching how do you do that when it's like this and you kind of chop it all up then it doesn't stick together as well if you get a bit on there and you kind of tilt this towards you get a bit less then you can use this to kind of push it away and it balances on the end then when you drop it in the that starts to get it more sticky so now it's not going to fall off show me and then and then you can press in and up so it's like a this kind of [Music] motion oh this one's going to take a while to Lun there you go that works okay and then like that yeah perfect and try not of my floor you're going to be more worried about the floor [Music] h but it might be longer than that one thing we are hoping for in the very near future is a flushing toilet and we're crossing all the fingers toes and everything else that we might be able to have one
