[Music] [Music] first item up for business is catching bait we've been down here for probably an hour there's a lot of guard up in here and the bait is really really sporadic but when it gets like that I would not like to do is just throw my bait out and set my rod holder and a lot of times those that bait comes up in that water column in that current and the fish just attack it so hang tight we'll see it I bet how I been catch them here lately I caught two on the foley spoon but I'm throwing a spogli spoon bringing it in myself and letting this one just kind of dangle back in the back there's kind of scattered in here the gar I think he's got him run out or they're more dominant at this point once the gar move out skipjack probably come up in here sometimes you come down here catch these things every cast two or three cast and other times you really got to work for him the banker are these good sass baked hard this is gonna be a good yeah that's like having a second guy on the boat fishing with you oh you come off they skipjack kind of come in waves you won't get a bike for a few minutes and all of a sudden BAM that kind of school up through here [Music] [Music] a lot of times they get out when they jump they can shake this then when I got one that's too long [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right [Music] something Oh man college big structure these skipjack you often find everywhere around the United States are really thickening the Ohio River Mississippi Tennessee River real thick oh and they learn li-like currents come up these exams and anywhere around these rocks especially in the springtime the little minerals are crisp on the rocks and skipjack follow the meadows but they do need some courage you'll find them in current seems a lot of time let me show you to what I do to do my skipjack for the day we've got two bags of ice and I don't like to throw my skipjack just right on top of the ices what I'll do is get two bags ice I got a bucket in here I'll put until it was water and throw my scoop Jack down in it they kind of swim down in amongst all the cubes and when I get down catch my skipjack I'm gonna drain line a cooler of all the water skipjack we're gonna be embedded to that ice rather than just having to sit on top of the ice I want to really really call kind of flash cold not flash frozen the flash code so I always think like say I think I keep a little bit better throughout today when you do it like that [Music] [Music] and then fishing moves back in there I'll get ready to move oh we've taken track Oh merci merci it was Kim I think he's around by the liner where - well I got deep color another flat in another flat head then flat heads just mean awesome day a lot of power a lot of power tag me about sixty pounder circle hook right in these carvers mouth [Applause] little met today fellas early fish hopefully hopefully we'll get that sixty pound Rita night oh he went quick we got here about eight o'clock this morning took me about two hours to get bait I could have got it quicker but you got to respect the guys on the back - you just can't pull up in front of them guys catch a skipjack but then they won't be able to throw out either so I went down a little scene that I found and they just took me a little longer here we go
