A Story I'll Never Forget

the following story is a short story that I could never forget it's the story of a girl who saw her mom cook a fish but before the mom fried the fish she cut the head and she cut the tail and cooked it the girl asked why does she cut the fish before cooking it the mom said I don't know she learned to cook fish from her mom she then asked her grandma the same question why does she cut the fish before cooking it she too said I don't know she learned to cook fish from her mom and then she went to ask her great grandmother who said oh I cut the tail on the head of the fish because 50 years ago my frying pan was too small when I heard this story I was angry because this signifies everything that's wrong in the world we don't ask why we do what we are told or what our parents did and I hate that this is why I went around the world to find people and countries that ask why things are the way that they are and how can they be better for example take something as simple as water why do we have to drink water from bottles waste plastic and spend money on water isn't there a better way in Armenia they did find a better way by making water free and putting it everywhere for people to drink in their capital city it's amazing it's everywhere and it works [Music] why does trash need to be smelly and disgusting is there any better way of filing our trash why does it have to look like this in Singapore they did find a better way by building an entire island that looks like a resort and that holds the actions of all their country's trash it's amazing and it doesn't smell why do protests have to be violent and deadly in many countries around the world is there a better way to voice an opinion in South Korea they did find a better way candles they lit up candles and gathered millions and millions of them to bring down an entire government in peace candles to make paper why do we need to cut down trees can you make it in a more sustainable creative way in Sri Lanka they did find a better way and made real paper out of the real poop of a real animal it's not as good as paper but hey it's a good start hello from in 2018 why do people still get discriminated against in South Africa a woman fought her entire high school that suspended her for having this hair she won the case and school can't legally discriminate me more based on the color in the shape of your hair simply because she asked why there's a lot of why's that left to be answered in the world we just need people to ask these questions why is there a huge income inequality in the world why do women not have the same freedoms as men why is there extreme poverty why why why heck why do we even need to eat fish and animals and not plants there's a lot of better ways to do things if you ask why you might end up with more food on your table [Music]
