A Simple Way To Catch Loads Of Bluegill From The Bank

well good morning folks it's Richard Jean the fishing machine here right now I'm staring down at a few blue gill beds or I think they're Blu Gill could be shellcracker and I see a few pretty good fish on them beds but most of them uh there there's very few on the beds because they they've basically what's happened the full moon was about a week and half ago but there's still a few scattered ones right here from the spring all the way through the summer following every full moon you can and will find bluegill shell cracker and other pan fish on bed they reproduce quickly and there that's the reason why there's a lot of them every full moon so let's let this car pass I'm just here along the road side right here and I'm at a place that I hadn't fished excuse in a long time um from the bank and I walked up there and what did I see a huge bluegill bed um I thought I seen some shell cracker on it I'm not sure uh because I got excited run back to the truck and I'm going to show you what we're going to get catch these fish off of now this is the kind of bait right here that is exceptional for a lot of different reasons and I'll go through it when it comes to bedding bluegill or shell cracker it's called and I love them I've used them before here on this channel it's a Nico Stone flly 0.7 in so it's almost 3/4 of an inch long very very small compact bait and I'll show you how I have it rigged I have it rigged with a8th of an ounce jig head that's a size 12 hook that's in it and I've I've I've rigged it up and then put a little bit of super glue behind the head of that jig head to hold it it'll grip it U lock heghts what I use causes no chem IAL reaction to this rubber that that Nico makes these baits out of they're indestructible I've CAU as many as two or 300 fish on one bait and still not tear it up when it comes to Bluegill shell cracker they're that tough folks I have this this bait rigged with a loop knot this is 4lb test vicious mono onto a 9 fo2 Sam super sensitive jig pole it's a jig pole that I use for Crappie normally and I just have a TFO fly reel um on on this Pole right here high is 4 lb test the water temperature is probably around 7172 on top roadside fishing we're going to get EAS down in here and we're going to put a bait right in the middle of them beds and see I see a good fish right here God there's plenty of big ones right there let's just let it fall look here go Bo now this one here's no doubt look how that one's fighting look there what a bass behind him big old bass is following him go goly now that's the kind that's the kind right there that I like to eat right there big is your hand great Gooding now that was some fun he gave me all I wanted hey there's another another biging right there oh my my my my let's let this and go let's let this and go go on back them little ones is aggravating me hindering me from catching them big ones all right let's flip it right there there we go got him got him man are you going to quit hardest pulling fish I know of is a blow Gill or a shell cracker for their size they're that powerful now that one right there is a good one darn good let's let him go go back so you know you don't this time of the year you don't have to have a boat to have some fun that's a big bass right there hanging around this bed there's actually a couple bass and what they're targeting there's a there's a shell cracker right there little one y'all excuse me I love the the I love to watch these fish I get excited when I see them swimming around but them bass them big bass will hang around these beds and they're not looking to get the biggest blue gill is the ones that's about that long is the one that they're they're targeting see you can catch plenty of these things you just have to walk and put a little effort into it but folks from the bank you can catch as many as these as you want throughout the summer sporty little fish I brought my forceps this time with me because when they hit this little old bait they mean to they mean to have it but that one's not going to be big enough I might have ha this cooler down here for no reason he's not going to be big enough but he's pretty let's see okay let's let it fall let it fall watch that line oh that was a little one I seen him there we go there's a good one my my my I think I'm going to go ahead and put this one in the bucket wouldn't y'all yeah let's see that's a that's a big deal right there I'm going to get my bucket and put him in it and bring it over here cuz I believe we can catch whole four or five of them anyway that's a good one yeah let's do that let's make it worth our effort they're delicious eating fish and they're good fur you too folks no doubt now I used to years ago it's been a long time since I've been up here but years ago I used to catch some of the biggest shell cracker down through here and it's changed I mean the shell cracker is still here in this Lake but their patterns has changed a little bit let it fall let it fall barely move it you ain't got to move it much I miss one just barely move it once it hits the bottom what you're wanting to do is keep it in in that in that bed it's just a circle if it stays in there long enough they'll eat it whether they're they want it or not they can't stand it they actually attack it let's try right over here folks I ain't tried over the underway yet there's one go they have got the power they ain't no doubt I see a couple more start there's there's there's sever right there stirring around now that's going to be a keeper that one's plenty enough big enough so let's put him in the bucket too that's what we're looking for they got to be at least that big right there before I'll keep them at least and that other spot I caught really several I was just too lazy to go walk back and get my cooler if I had I done had a bunch of them in here but there's two Gooding right there after I've already caught 100 fish or more but y'all can see this is a big Gil bed but there's just like I said there's just a few left on it I gu guarantee you a couple days ago it was absolutely full of them had to been let's try it back over there that was a good Gill we might catch another one right there oh there's one actually seen that one come up there and eat it come on up here boy I'm being real elective going on back it's pretty simple all you got to do is flip it out there let it sink watch your line when it thumps thump back and let it there we go and let it fall look here this is a good one too it didn't even reach the bottom didn't even reach the bottom and that fish hit it seen him when he did he just come up and grabbed it this is a good little old bait right here of course anything that's small is good when it comes to fishing on these beds they're very territorial they're mad they're aggravating but the reason why I like these baits are worthy of talking about these ni baits are rubber and I I've done sit here I've caught a hundred or more blue gill this bait even look is intact perfect it it is I mean and that's what you want you can spend your time fishing instead of readjusting your bait I say that a lot but it's very important to just focus on on your fish and instead of changing out baits it's torn up because two or three little old fishes tore it up all right folks we're back I tell you that was a lot of fun that was a requested video all I done was just park got out and look for beds in two or three areas that I knew that I could park and um it was no trouble at all finding beds they were full of fish remember if you're just now starting to fish or if you've never fished for Bluegill or shellcracker from Spring all the way through summer every time there's a full moon those fish will bed thereafter there's that's why there's plenty of them they multiply quick very good eating fish and a lot of fun I want to say God bless each and every one of y'all thank y'all for all
