A Shocking Look Inside an Abandoned Strip Club (Atherley Arms)

[Music] look at that [Music] so [Music] years ago local snowmobilers would snowmobile across the lake and they would park here and lock up their snowmobiles on these brackets here hey welcome back explorers today we're at an abandoned strip bar this place has been abandoned for approximately 11 years it had a lot of problems over the years this place it was a very popular place in the 70s and 80s a lot of organized crime long out here a lot of bikers in that but these places they've lost their liquor license a number of times over the years they even served alcohol i heard what without a liquor license um and and the man actually died here in 2004 so it's pretty uh it's a pretty horrible story behind this place so i'm going to share that with you today and we're going to take a look at this place i've seen pictures of this place years ago when it was abandoned and it was just rotten in there so i'm assuming it's going to be a lot worse so hopefully um i could show you everything in the place and we don't fall through the floor or fall through the stairs but i'm assuming it's going to be moldy i brought my mask and i'm assuming that the floor is going to be just rotten so i can't wait to show you guys this place i can't wait to check it out myself so i hope you guys enjoy the video uh it's probably going to be dark in there so i got a bunch of lights i bought my headlight i brought my light for my camera so hopefully i can get some good footage in there but i do apologize it's going to be pretty dark on the main floor but upstairs everything's wide open uh it's not boarded up and i heard there's about nine nine or ten apartments up top so it's place is pretty big so let's get right into the video guys let's go back in 2004 man actually died here in the parking lot there was a fight that broke out and he somehow hit his head on the ground they're not sure if it was from being pushed punched or just fell on his own when the injured man's friends tried to get help they tried to knock on the door of the bar and they just locked the door turned the lights off and refused to give the man help years later the family did sue the bar and they received 3.1 million dollars in the settlement shortly after that this bar closed permanently never to serve a drink ever again i don't see the pool probably stole it oh here's the bar still got the pool tables here look at that they actually don't they don't look like they're in too bad of condition they actually had some plastic covers on it so they're kind of protected this place is just trashed here's one of those games with the claw you put two bucks in you get a little toy this is where you get uh the food there obviously it says kitchen there there's an arcade game here let's see if this door is open here no just a storage room look at this it's an old punch clock you're coming to work and you put your card there and you punch in wow this place is really bad look at the floors are just completely rotten [Applause] ice machine right there down here ooh basement i could hear the water down there it's completely flooded there's a 2010 pretty sure that's when this place closed down all right let's keep going here this is the bathrooms oh wow that's the ladies washer there you go here staff only all kinds of stuff in here here these are all the girls that used to dance here i guess 2005. all these little windows here you probably see out but you can't see in feel the floor kind of moving around it's pretty rotten here's the vip lounge i think oh yeah this is where this is where the girls do private dances from the 70s all the way up to the late 90s there used to be quite a few strip bars in ontario canada and now they're just one after another they're just closing down and there's not too many around anymore so this place also hosted rock and roll concerts here quite a few popular canadian bands played here over the years i think there's another one another room over here well maybe not this is just like a dance floor i'm not sure okay i'm trying to find the way [Applause] upstairs by the lockers oh that's a spray that's that's a spray boot for spray tans oh no it's a tanning booth all right i'm gonna try to find how to get upstairs here nice fireplace you see in the floor here there's all these little shot glasses that goes in the basement there's the pay phone okay here we go there's upstairs what's in here furniture definitely seen better days oh wow look at the decay in here unbelievable wow [Applause] this is the uh upstairs area i think where most of the girls stayed there's all these little apartments in here but back in the day this was a hotel this place is really falling apart here i'm not gonna go up there i'd like to it's the attic but look the stairs are kind of cracking and broken so i don't really trust them there's quite a bit of rooms in here there's probably been some homeless people living in here as well these are all number three five four let's roll to keep all the blankets the sheets still here a big shower wow this room is just full of sun the k in here is this unreal this place is pretty big just never remember here number nine this is number eight number seven room wow all right well i've always wanted to come in here oh we almost forgot a room here oh wow this is like this place is massive yeah i've always wanted to check this place out it's been abandoned for quite some time and it's just a disaster now i've seen pictures of this place quite a few years ago in the decay i already set in maybe a black mole here obviously you got a lot of paint peel but yeah a few years ago i seen pictures of this place and it was this is a disaster well it's getting a lot worse that's for sure it's very dangerous in here so i'm trying to get out of here without getting injured [Music] so [Music] um [Music] um [Music] hey guys i hope you enjoyed the video man that place was just rotten so bad very dangerous i'm so glad i didn't fall through any floors i couldn't explore the basement it's full of water very dark on the main floor but upstairs there was a lot of apartments it was more bright up there at any
