A Proposal

you know the cards yes you know all the different cards and things like do you play any games you play cards dude yeah I know I know yeah you gotta adapt for my personality what's what's your game like blackjack blackjack one of my favorites it really is I'm gonna look away my favorite name that my best game when I'm best at is uh is I go fish no fish if I go I'm gonna look away I want you to cut off a small chunk of cards five to ten ten to fifteen you know small chunk hold him behind your back or hold him under the table where I can't see them hide them from me do you might tell me what she's done that way in kind we got to cut something straight off the top and hide it from me okay cool they're getting is my instrument does I'll make my living but it's also my art it's my blank canvas it's my paintbrush this is what I do I know how heavy the deck ought to be I know I know how heavy each individual car is I know things about the deck you mortals just don't know I can tell you just by the weight of the deck that this particular deck at this time feels eight cards short it just feels a card would you count them out loud please don't let me see the pictures but yeah [Music] [Applause] [Music] take a look at what you tell yourself you might a little a quick little game of Go Fish don't let me see you got what you got there yes you like red cards or black ones uh red you hunt the red ones okay she's got in that little stack there she's only got two red ones okay and she's gonna give me the two in the three of hearts and put them right there oh and that's all the red ones yeah really good I'm really good okay so do you like clubs or do you prefer spades Oh like I'm both kind of even they'll be fine so so she'll put the king of clubs on the table there for me there so we can see then probably I'm gonna say maybe the five of clubs give it out oh and why not the six of clubs let's get rid of that that's kind of cool too and then maybe the maybe the nine of spades get rid of that and since she likes blackjack I'll get her 21 do you mind if I close with a story is that okay I was thinking really I had a nice little vacation kind of a working vacation this past weekend a very very beautiful place and at one point I I got to visit a beach to visit the beach and it took me back I'm from the East Coast I grew up around the Outer Banks of North Carolina yeah yeah and oftentimes when I was a kid my father and I would go out on the beach we would look for seashells and one of the unique things about the Outer Banks of North Carolina is that it is there are dozens and dozens of sunken ships both from Wars and from there was a lot of pirate activity a couple of hundred years no just off the coast and so this there's all kinds of neat things that occasionally wants up on the beach amazing treasures things that I still keep to this day that remind me of when I was a child I mean I can hear me my dad walking down the beach what I love look at this one look at this one I found a shark's tooth that's a black rock but okay I want it to be and then when I got older and I got married because I did my wife and I on our hymen we also went to the beach and in the moonlight we walked alone we talked about our future plans we talked about what what love meant to us and and one of the things that that was so romantic about it was the moonlight on the water and crashing on the shores like this and the shells on the beach and washed up on the beach as well was it was a small Bell look a lot like this this isn't it but it looked a lot like this and I said as you know one of the things you ever pick up a sea showing home to your ear Indian Ocean yeah tickle it's the same kind of thing hold it up here you can you get the ocean inside the Bell you don't hear that the ocean in it well that's cause it's not a seashell amazing the romantic you know what you're hearing when you actually listen to a - inside the seashell you know what ocean you're hearing here in your own ocean you're actually hearing your own blood stream coming from your heart going past your ear it's echoing through the seashell coming back into your eardrums that's what it is and with the little bell if we stood very still and nor the waves everything you could actually hear the ringing of the ship's Bell if you if you listen really carefully tell me if you can hear the right tell me if you can hear the ring without moving it yeah if you guys ring it open no stand up watch your hands both of them like you're catching water like you're catching one you can't get a ring at all no can you see it no what that's you know to make your dream to your fudge illicit coming to magickal so happening tonight the last seven years of our relationship we've had a lot of firsts and we've done a lot of bucket list things together I know a lot of them were planned a lot of fun response getting this some things we wish we don't ever have to do again and a lot of stuff we wish we can do again like tonight but through it all the thing that blessed me the most was having their hand in hand at all so speaking of bucket list things you know the only other thing in my bucket list for the rest of my life I would need to check off is to have you start a family with me so what I'm trying to say is and good Packer [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] this red comes from flowing from your heart just like the ocean inside of you I do want to point out that one that was wonderful and I can't cannot stop that - he did position himself between her in the door [Applause] [Music]
