A Pet Shop After Dark - A Normal Pet Shop Job With Cute Animals, Just Don't TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

hey everyone this is manly badasseroo and welcome to a pet shop after dark a cute horror visual novel where you do a simple job where all you have to do is just take care of these simple pets [Music] wow it's really dark in here looks a little bit uh pretty bright to me actually like some kind of gothic plant shop a gothic plant shop oh no never mind it's a gothic plant shop [Music] it's a pet shop actually that we do sell plants too oh um i'm here about the job do you fulfill all the requirements [Music] or i think so let me double check have a simple cute art style that's correct um have a witch's hat um don't have that one i have to get a witch's hat have a cool cloak i'll need one of those too i wish i had a cool cloak pet sir wand asap must have no allergies to animals or plants overnight stay required i don't have any allergies and i can stay overnight [Music] perfect you'll do what really you don't want to do a background check or something we're two-dimensional we don't have backgrounds look we're just facing forward at this short notice i'm afraid i can't be picky in any case the job is very simple so even an indian could do it am i being insulted i just need you to wander the plants and feed the pets once a day once you've done that you're free to do whatever you want for the rest of the day go play game boy or something i just ask that you stay inside the shop that's all it sounds like a goosebumps premise i think if you've read or watched goosebumps you know exactly what i mean yes that's all this sounds a bit too good to be true especially since apparently i'll be paid more per day than i usually make in one week nice there's just one thing do not under any circumstances turn off the lights huh even at night even at night if it is hard to sleep i suggest using an eye mask i have left some in the sleeping area that's weird but i guess i don't know much about taking care of plants or pets maybe they need the light for some reason water plants feed pants to turn on the lights got it everything has been done for today so you can just relax until night time i'm sorry i can't show you around but i've left it to do less than the counter thanks i'll do my best i'll be back after one day and one night i leave my shop in your care wow she really just left me here on my own without even asking for my name what if i was lying and actually am allergic to some plants and pets now that i am but still i guess this is where i'll be staying for up the next day and night is that two days kind today i always get confused by stuff like this at least i don't really have any work to do tonight is it okay for me to be paid to do nothing yeah nice well i guess i shouldn't complain might as well take a look around first oh a note on the counter this must be the to the list she was talking about it pretty much just repeats what she says earlier oh there's a note on the bottom though the pets are shy so don't worry if you can't see them hmm what's that supposed to mean hmm invisible pets interesting the plants in this room look all look healthy i guess i don't really know much about plants let's check out the next room i guess this is the pet area but i can't see any pets the cages and tanks are all empty maybe this is what the note meant when it said the pets was shy am i supposed to feed the empty cages i'll worry about that tomorrow [Music] huh this room seems to be empty it's just a long haul maybe this is a ghost pet shop you know what i mean like it just it has ghost pets like ghost fish ghost dogs ghost ferrets you know cause ghost pets need homes too i think to be easier to take care of but at the same time not like you can't really like keep a ghost dog in the in the property line you know what i mean it will kind of like go out and start barking at everything which is also kind of cool because you can annoy neighbors you don't like i like this i like these pets i'm not sure what this little vaz of the middle is doing out of here that's a boss oh this is probably where i'm supposed to sleep this is a very smooth world everything's got like no hard corners like look even the the shelf has got a little bit of a bevel more of a sofa than the bed though and i don't think i even saw any light switches in the way here i was told not to turn the lights off i don't even know if i can maybe this is one of those smart homes remote control lights to be honest the lights are really dim anyway so i shouldn't have any trouble getting to sleep help me please anyone let me out oh morning already i'm still sleepy and i think i weird i could swear i had a dream last night but i can't remember anything about it oh well might as well get to work what was it again one of the plans feed the pets right and don't turn off the lights oh boy just go back to sleep who cares do we save the game no so that means the game probably moves pretty fast wow it's really dark out that's strange though it shouldn't be that late in the day maybe a storm is coming good thing i don't have to go outside at all today huh these books don't have anything written on the spine or anything written inside them either all the pages are blank i guess these are probably notebooks for writing in pretty fancy to get hardback book just for johnning stuff down though this bookshelf is pretty empty like my [Music] soul maybe the owner here doesn't really like reading i wonder what these books are about this one is just filled with strange symbols can't read any of it maybe it's like those puzzle books you're supposed to decipher [Music] don't go to sleep yet [Music] huh it's just as empty today as it was yesterday while everything's empty in this life not sure why i expected anything different what's the point of having a hallway either though it only goes between two places it's just like a barrier like they can't cross here i guess it makes for good exercise it's just a small glass voss filled with water manly looks at a perfect circle and keeps wandering [Music] or maybe it's a goldfish pool there's nothing in it though it's probably for decoration i've heard rich people do stuff like this sometimes they do actually just put stuff out for no reason at all must be nice to have enough stuff in the space that you can do with that huh i still don't see any pets i'd get that the fish were just really small but these cages are pretty big the note did say not to worry if i couldn't see the petso i guess i'll just try putting food in the cages in the tank and see how it goes what's this this cupboard is filled with bottles they all say universal pet food on them in big purple letters like pet food works that way buddy the liquid inside is purple too okay this is goosebumps this that's that's straight goosebumps doesn't look very appetizing but there's no smell at least i'm not really the target audience so many pets like this kind of stuff it's probably easier to drink your food than eat it anyway i guess movie huh this cover is locked i wonder what's inside it's probably just pet supplies since this is a pet shop if it's locked it probably means i don't need to use anything inside it i'll just leave it alone watering the plants should be more straightforward than feeding the pets at least i can see all the plants maybe that's a bad thing i should probably double check the to-do list just make sure i didn't miss anything one of the plants feed the pets do not turn off the lights the pets are shy so don't worry if you can't see them the shelves have full seeds at least i think they're seeds a lot of them are in languages i can't read but the pictures on them look like plants i wonder what this one i don't know why but i have a feeling i shouldn't touch [Music] these [Music] now what was the there was like a little highlight over the uh couch bed here can we just go sleep and not care sound ending sounds like one okay no no no freedom of choice here buddy you gotta do your job even if it's easy all right well let's just feed everything oh the food's gone that means something must be eating it even if i can't see anything i guess i shouldn't worry about it too much even if i can't see the animals they're probably still hungry nice i think that's all the pets not that i can see them does the end of this game just be one choice turn the lights on or not i hope that's enough water or maybe it's too much or ever turn off the lights i'm probably not naturally qualified for this job please don't die on me plants there that should be the last plan i need to wander okay we're done let's go let's uh let's go to sleep i guess there isn't anything left for me to do here it's still pretty early in the day but maybe i'll take a nap i'm not sure why it's i'm not even going to show it it's just the file just says like one that means i got one ending and there's another file called light i heard some music please help me oh boy here we go the light destroy it huh why am i here wait i think i'm here for a job my memory's a bit foggy for some reason what was i supposed to do again turn off the lights no wait that's what i'm not supposed to do i need to war the plants and feed the pets fake trace is a letter maybe can read any of it though any new dialogue here same symbols repeat over and over it looks kind of like a light bulb i think then there's a page with a big x on it and the next page is completely black it's weird it's kind of feels like it's sucking me in [Music] it's so dark out i can't see anything at all it's just really a window [Music] i feel like someone's trying to tell me a message oh it's just as empty today as it was yesterday wait yesterday what was i doing here yesterday a small glass vase looks so fragile just one thing i wasn't supposed to do how can i scrub such an easy job i don't know eat it from the light switch and fix the situation hey this new folder in the the game that's called bedroom the sponsor these books are blank pages inside are blank too wait no if i hold it at just the right angle i can see someone's handwriting knock on the wall four times what does this mean oh there's something between the pages it's a black and white photo i wonder why it's here ah the room isn't empty strange it does seem like light is coming from this window but it's still barely bright enough to see the lights are out though so why is it pitch black in here i suppose i should show the folder just to get an idea so i took the lights out of here there's now a folder called bedroom and there's books in window oh wow that's kind of creepy it's not intentional but it's 4 44 pm which is a really cursed number [Music] it's so quiet i can't hear anything but my own breathing hmm i feel like this room looks a bit different i already know what to do we also have a new folder called hall okay even the lights are off i can still feed the pets but why does it feel like i'm being watched [Music] yeah every time we go into a new room we get a new folder but right now the other folders are empty looking at them this cupper is filled with balls of pet food why is the pet food purple oh this cooker is locked i can't open it something ate the food hey might as well feed them all what if we just keep doing our job like ignore all this it's dark here too i guess the lights are connected through a central system or something i guess i should water the plants [Music] us some more for your little plant that should be all the plants the shelf is filled with seed packets well there's one packet doesn't have a label what kind of seed it is i'm trying to wonder oh oh i understand so the the folders here i'll show you what i mean the folders show basically the world that's hidden so this is basically forming the world here so like here let's go in the uh the shop the cupboards has pet food and the pets we can actually see them here kind of but they're kind of creepy kind of little creepy looking and look so there's nothing implants because the plants we can see them they're not hidden but there is these files here yeah i i checked the files i wanted to see if it was like text files like normally just files they get kind of like garbled text in them [Music] so you want us to go into the secret room but what we're going to do is can we go to bed and just say okay good job i don't know what's going on but it's not my problem i've wanted the plants to fed the pets i'll just have to explain the lights turn off on their own i can worry about that tomorrow though for now sleep we could have why didn't you help please don't leave me huh why am i here the lights are on too i could have sworn that huh what was i saying you were talking about the lights oh was there some problem floating nice and it was hidden portable telephones this telephone is floating can even make calls like this no but it can't ring up your orders i could try oh we need a number let me check my files 52 is what the files told me no response i guess it makes sense hello what who's there you can hear me oh what's the telephone right um yes i can hear you who is this help me please huh i i'm trapped in a telephone no it's not it's hard to explain this is some kind of prank no no i i need your help please or i can try but i don't know if thank you um so how am i supposed to help where are you trapped here here in this room yes but no sorry i don't really know what you're you don't need to understand i just need you to help what do you want me to do there's a locker cupboard in the shop bring whatever's inside the cupboard to me to you but we're to this room please i just have to go bring whatever's in the cupboard here right yes i'll be waiting what on earth was that [Music] how do that i'm here to do a job after all i could just water the plants with the pets and call it day wait was that table always there this vase is filled with water maybe it's a goldfish bowl no there's no goldfish but there is a key inside the voss could this be the key for the cupboard it couldn't hurt to try huh i can't pick it up i can see it right in front of me but when i try to grab it my fingers go right through it if i can't pick it up how am i supposed to test it on the cupboard let me check the folders oh i get it watch [Music] so we have a key right take the key out of the copper so i'm going to copy that then we're going to go over here [Music] videos where the cupboards are wait why does it even matter and then we're going to put it in the shop folder the cover is locked this must be the cover of the person that temple was talking about but how can i unlock it i'll probably need a key wait a second i can't see any keyhole is it locked from the inside if it is i don't know how i can get key inside the cupboard to unlock it okay no i have to put it in the cupboard so a new folder disappeared [Music] is the cupboard uh thing so we're gonna put the key in there there we go this is actually this is not just a meta game this is a literal adventure minute game i played one other game that did this that made a game within the folders i forgot what it was called though forgot which game it did that it's still wait is unlocked but how i guess i might as well take a look inside it's too hard to see anything though so i'll just feel around i touch something soft it's cold wait is this a hand don't worry it's here to give us a hand attached to an arm attached to a body localized within this cupboard aurora borealis somebody's in this cupboard i didn't even get in there this cupboard door is too small you can't crawl wait are they alive the body is cold we gotta bring the body back the soul's near the phone oh god oh god oh god what have i gone into calm down me i'm just panicking it's obviously not real body it can't be that would be this must be a prank i should probably just do my job and forget about all this i don't think i could even get this out of the cupboard it's too big okay now i see new files called body now i said bring it to them right so we're gonna take this file out of here and i put the body in the telephone back room [Music] i think huh i can't pick it up i can see right in front of me when i try to grab it let's go right through it i found something more in the water just now now must be imagining things now let's check this room okay there's a goldfish this time in the vas maybe can we feed the goldfish let's move the pet food to the goldfish bowl i'm hoping there's another secret here let's move the pet food feed the fish i swear it suddenly moved in the water just now but i can't see anything whoa what was that secret a door it's kind of glowing everything's dark in here except the weird glowing bits what is this room this looks like a little pot there's a soul into it this is why we need the seeds bentley's got his mind in the game means they're gardening but why is it in the front of the ever plants okay so let me check the other folders out let me show you like what this folder looks like right now the goldfish that's the little goldfish over here uh let's look around garden there's the garden the pot we gotta put the seeds in the pot the seed is the heart so let's go to the the front shelf we're gonna take the seed out here put the seed in the pot bam it looks like there's a little seed inside the soil is it vibrating what is this mario oh it's a goal gotta get a lot of coins up there well vine suddenly shot from the pot did the seat just grow up all of a sudden it shut right through the ceiling [Music] i don't know why i climbed up here it's so bright but why it was dark outside the window where's this light coming from it's so bright that i can't see anything i feel kind of dizzy i should climb back down [Music] so bright we can't see anything no but we have the heart now you know it's that's outside the the pot so let's get the body and the heart get the body here it's still wait it's unlocked but how i guess i might as well take a look inside it's too hard to see anything though so i'll just feel around i touch something soft it's cold wait is this a hand attached to an the same before let's see wow it's really dark in here like some kind of gothic plant shop it's a pet and plant shop actually oh you took her place oh um i'm here about the job the job sorry you must be mistaken we're not hiring currently what but i huh i thought i had the job listing with me it's okay we all make mistakes sometimes i must have mixed this place up with some other shop now the the other person is the one in the cage sorry for bothering you no i should be thanking you really huh did you need something else money oh um i don't think so hmm since you came all the way here you can have this huh what is it is it money a seed packet just plant some soil and water it it grows well in the shade what kind of plant is it that's a surprise for later or thanks i guess i'll be going then [Music] thank you you gave me my heart back i feel sorry for the poor girl who got wrapped up in this mess but i need her too i was stuck in liminal space stuck between two different dimensions i need one person in this dimension to pull me back that was her silly girl but alice needed another person in every dimension to find the things that were hidden that was you i wish i could meet you properly but unfortunately my powers don't include traveling through dimensions what happened to the owner you ask do you really want to know don't worry i would never harm anybody who has helped me since you saved me if you don't mind would you tell me your name manly manly thank you manly i don't know how i can ever repay you if you ever think you might require my assistance just let me know into the kind of meta horror game although this was a fun one i like this one because it was a little bit cute but not like a a cheesy cute like oh we're so anime that kind of cute more of like a a simplistic cute you know what i'm saying i liked how i had like a mini adventure game in the files like i said i've seen one other game do that uh i i don't remember the title of the game exaggerated generic title but i have played on my channel before where i had a very extensive deep meta game within the files like it was never a little adventure game that was a little more simpler but this one was a little more intuitive that one was more like well the files are changing they're all around you this one was more like oh it's a little puzzle here you go and i think maybe a couple of our games did some simplified versions of in the past too but we had to keep playing we had to keep kind of going through it to figure out the metagame to find the clues and stuff and put it all together and i'm glad i planned i figured it out because i feel like sometimes maybe it's tempting to give up someone might play this game and think oh it ends right there you can't for your i'm done but no i kept going and we got ourselves a satisfying but maybe a little scary conclusion we might have freed someone we weren't supposed to quite free and we got a calling card and i'm not sure what that's going to be used for it's not a blank file if you actually open it up and kind of dig through it it's just some meat in that file and i feel like it must be used for something maybe it'll come up in future games this developer will make future games if you have that calling card you can drop it in there get to the ending right away but i think it was a very solid competent um meta horror game it's not really scary but it's like i said it made me very go very aha as i was playing it and the the style and aesthetic i'm trying to think what it reminds me of but i kind of sometimes dig that simple
