[Music] hello everyone so welcome to a new reading vlog it is the first of august so i thought i would start a new vlog because i have some stunning reading plans for august and i'm very very excited i feel like i'm going to have a stunning reading month because i'm in lockdown for the whole of august so i'm planning to just focus on reading youtube twitch being a girl boss i have already uploaded my august tbr but i did actually forget to say that i'm also planning to read kingdom of the wicked well i will be definitely reading kingdom of the wicked by kerry maniscalco because this is my patreon buttery book for august somebody reading this with my patreons in august and i film a spoiler-filled reading vlog which goes up on my patreon but yeah of course i'm reading this i can't even forget to include it but very excited i'm not gonna start this this week but i'm excited to get to it because i think i'm gonna love it fantasy romance thank you with gothic vibes thank you but i'm currently in the middle of all roads lead here by miranda zapata i'm 61 of the way through oh absolutely loving it so definitely going to finish that this week i want to read one of the books that jamie has put on my tbr for this month so i'm going to start with in real life which is the graphic novel that she got me when i was in new zealand i'm so excited because it's a graphic novel i love graphic novels don't actually really know what it's about but i know that it follows these two girls i think it's a romance i'm excited so this should be quite quick to read and jamie is also going to be reading tommy which is one of the books that i chose for her to read in august so we're going to read our books together in a second so very excited to read this in one sitting then like i said plan to finish all right lead here don't know what i'm going to pick up after that i'm just looking at my stack of books that she's chosen for me we'll just see them with the vibes throughout the week yeah this will be the last week with gem with jamie you know she's leaving on tuesday so that's fine it's obviously not but you know whatever so yeah just gonna make the most of her being here before yeah anyway jamie yeah i'm ready now all right meeting me and just reading on the couch but i actually just finished my book in real life and stunning just really stunning basically i was wrong it definitely isn't about two girls it's actually about one girl anda or ander this one and this is her character that she plays in course gold online which is like this multiplayer online role playing game basically she spends like all her free time in this game playing against his character meeting friends stuff like that if you're a gamer girl or just if you're a game in general you'll love it because it's just so fun and also like she meets friends from around the world or mainly one friend you know obviously i can relate to that because i've made friends like over there like i've made friends who live in like you know different countries and stuff but it's still like an actual friendship like it's not just like a stupid online thing and unlike ours which is just so stupid oh yeah i don't know it's really stunning like there was this one line she says it's weird you're just a collection of pixels but i was worried and he's like this life is real too we're communicating aren't we you know if you're playing a game but like you meet people like you can still build like actual connections and stuff so i don't know it's just really stunning and what are you rating it i think four stars yeah nice it's just really funny stunning art style like look at this exactly so jamie said now i need to finish always lead here so i can start the night circus because that's what she decided that i should read that's what i'm gonna do yeah stunning i mean such a like i love reading mood i know right me too yeah so i have read up until i think 78 of all words leave here and it's just stunning so many tropes that i love oh and i just love them aurora and roads are perfect like wow wow wow yeah love them absolutely love them um oh it's okay i already have some water thank you so i'm definitely going to try to finish it tonight and yeah i think i'm going to whiz through like the last over 20 of the book but i'm a bit nervous because caitlyn was like absolutely obsessed with the book and then she said the last like 20 wasn't like amazing like still good but just not like absolute five-star vibes even though she gave the whole book five stars but you know it just apparently isn't as good because apparently some things happened that she's kind of like what the hell so i'm kind of nervous to see what i think but it's nice to have the information before i read it but yeah so i'm gonna read after but i'm just watching a fortnight stream with richard and jamie then jamie and i are going to watch american psycho one of her favorite movies with pizza exactly stunning exciting stunning and then after that we're going to do another stream on jamie's twitch dream daddy and then after that i'll try to finish the book hello from me and scruffy i was going to say something but then i literally felt myself nearly tearing up just by saying it so i'm not going to say that but it is monday i might as well say because you're probably going to think what i was going to say it is the day before danger leaves yeah anyway so yes we are actually doing a fun stream tonight we're going to do a stream for jamie because her birthday do you want to say hello yeah i can't fit these in my suitcase are you going to leave it here yeah so we're doing um a stream for jamie's birthday because her birthday is on the 9th of august if i'm feeling up to it yeah like honestly at this stage it could go either way yeah yeah if yeah we might be doing it yeah because jamie is going to celebrate her birthday in thank you in a [ __ ] quarantine hotel it's okay we're still gonna have fun time it's right we're gonna celebrate it's right so i'm on 78 of all raids lead here and i was literally reading in the couch last night and i was like i'm going to read for a bit longer but then it was getting to like a stunning scene so i was like no no no no no i'm going to wait and savor this moment so i'm going to read it now very excited yep well well were you saying last week the book just yet just yet oh my god oh my god my ipad fell in the bin yes exactly exactly exactly exactly yeah yep wow wow just wow book is just literally incredible like i literally have chills i can't breathe oh my god the show goosebumps oh my god i can't breathe i send help i'm not kidding this well obviously you can't even of it wow okay yeah yeah yeah yeah just a stunning moment right there i need to read that yes so yeah this book is just really something like it's just stunning like not just the romance like the romance is absolutely stunning but the main character aurora seeing her you know start this new life and heal from her past traumas and make these new connections not just with the love interest but also with his son and other people as well but it is just stunning and it's just really relatable to me in a lot of ways and it just really shows that you can start a new life at any age you can be happy if you're not happy like yep yep yep wow literally i feel like i need to send miranda's part out like a check because she's given me so much happiness i just i'm so thankful like thank you marina's heart if you're watching this you are literally my favorite people in this world yep yep oh my god oh oh okay so i finished all right lead here and yeah this book is just something else like wow so beautiful so stunning yep they're just so in love but also the book really you know talks about grief in such a stunning way and just finding where you belong and being happy i just love them so much 5 out of 5 stars of course honestly new favorite book of all time like are you kidding just wow because not only was it stunning but i just really related to it a lot of ways you know what no i'm not equipped right now um yeah yeah yeah yep yes the only complaint i have is the conflict was really stupid um it was just really random it felt out of character for both of the characters to be pissed at each other well one of them was first anyway it was just stupid in my opinion so the conflict wasn't the strongest in my opinion how many more times so i want to say my opinion but you know yeah yeah but stunning yes just stunning i need to look and see how much the book costs because i definitely need a physical copy thank you let's hope it's not ten million dollars okay it's kind of forty dollars so you don't love that but anyway i adore this book i adore aurora and rhodes and amos just read this book please the next book i'm going to read is the night circus if you didn't hear that that was jamie thinking exactly so i'm actually in the mood for this though so i'm excited i don't think i'm going to start it tonight i think i'm going to start it tomorrow i'm excited to see what i think me too we're going to probably watch a movie but i will talk to you all later okay so i think this is my first clip that i'm filming without jamie in the house i've been having my sad girl moment because obviously i miss her so much so i haven't really been me to start but actually the plan has changed i'm going to start this secret history tomorrow which is jamie's favorite book ever so i'm very excited and i'm buddy reading this with kevin and katelyn too i literally can't wait so we're planning to start it tomorrow i don't think i'm gonna read anything today because i have a lot of editing and stuff to do but yeah very excited to finally read her favorites but yes i have a package and i don't know what's in it so let's open it oh my god it's a hard cover oh the counselor by e.j beason this machiavellian fantasy follows a scholar's quest to choose the next ruler of her nation amidst lies conspiracy and assassination stunning exactly australian author then i have this package which i believe is my colourpop package oh i just realized there's something in here for jamie and she's not here yes this is colourpop i decided i needed to get some of the powerpuff girls collection so i'm going to show you some of that because i literally got like 50 plus dms from people letting me know about the powerpuff girls collection and i really appreciate that because i was like oh exactly so i got a few things okay so i got some of the hair clips for bubbles aka jamie so when she comes back she can have those and then i got the buttercup hairclips for me okay so i think i got like the buttercup set that comes with the palette the eyeshadow palette the hair clips and little mojo jojo color sticks filming a clip you're gonna say hello hey guys it looks so disgusting hey guys i look amazing exactly but look i got this um isn't it stunning what is it purple girl's collection with colourpop and this is the eye oh this packaging the eyeshadow palette oh my god just like wow oh you sounded like oh nothing i think i i think i have this like joker i do that and now it's embedded in my video okay oh my god look how stunning penny oh exactly yeah oh look you can see yourself oh sorry i didn't even talk about the color sticks so i saw on the photo that like this stunning person had the little green on the inner corner and i was like oh exactly so i can have my buttercup moment i got some other stuff but i'm not gonna show that right now but i have my fairly box also to open and i thought you know tap some happiness after jamie's left i'll open it disgusting shipping label on the front which has ruined the stunning box but it's okay and if you don't know fairly something in their boxes every month and you can use the kind of five percent off your first box love them and let's just get into it so the theme for june is animal companions and there's going to be a kiki celebrity service item in here which i'm so excited about because i love that movie of course first item crescent city ceramic pot oh wow this is sterling look at how beautiful this is the design is just everything so this is a cute little bookish flower pot or you could use it as like a pen holder or anything but that is stunning i think i might use it as a pen holder actually i feel like it'll look good at my desk stunning oh kingdom of the wickets this is the book i'm badly reading with my patrons this month oh interesting oh what a the secret history i was going to start this tomorrow but i was like i might as well decide it now because i'm going to reach like an hour maybe like maybe not even an hour but we'll see so i thought you know might as well just start it because if i start a different book i was planning to start fowler's fair and like read those two at the same time but no i'm just gonna focus on this hopefully get hooked very excited and jamie's of course very excited for me to start this wow this is actually really good i'm on page 475 now psycho wow it's stunning five out of five stars no wonder jamie loves smoke it was really haunting compelling and brilliant would you want that ability like actually you know what we need to start talking in the rain do you really hide in my vlog you being a bit definitely dedicate to like you and like caitlyn and jamie like i would definitely do that 100 if i did like a friendship book i dedicated the three of you well that's really something i oh wow wow wow that would be like my most proudest accomplishment in life then you've been the acknowledgements as no exactly oh my god i'm so excited for the future now with the acknowledgements no offense thank you no offense glowing i guess like thanks the snow in the mountains was melting and bunny had been dead for several weeks before we came to understand the gravity of our situation he'd been dead for 10 days before they found him you know it was one of the biggest manhunts in vermont history state troopers the fbi even an army helicopter the college closed the dye factory in hampton shut he's also described as like really good looking like his face is like really angular and he wears these big trench coats and he's got like red hair and like he's just like quite funny and like um witty and dramatic swimming can't wait and i'll tell you that my favorite character is bunny i just relate to him a lot minus the problematic elements to him okay stunning so it is thursday and last night i got up to page 49 of the second history which is chapter two so quite a long chapter i did know that this book would have long chapters before i started reading and i usually hate long chapters but it actually wasn't that bad and there's like breaks in between the chapters like it's not like there's no breaks so if you wanted to take a break it's fine but i am loving this so far definitely love the vibes the characters are already really interesting i really love the way that it's written and like the humor already like yeah yeah yeah i have been annotating a bit there are definitely some lines i will have to call it i love the quote i believe that it is better to know one book intimately than a hundred superficially and then just the dynamic between the characters already like i feel like it's going to be such an interesting read so very excited to read more definitely read more today i want to get to at least page 100 but hopefully more i do have some editing to do emails to answer stuff like that but later on i'll be reading i also have a little nightmare stream i'm going to be doing my final little nightmares to stream which i'm really sad about because i've been loving that game it is friday not gonna lie not feeling great because i just got a lot of my mind and you know really missing jamie really feeling locked down today but it's fine it's fine staying positive on page 58 of the secret history i read like yeah like nine pages this morning but i'm very excited to continue because i really feel like i'm in it i am just so excited like i really think i'm gonna love this book we met a new character judy poovey and i think she's really cool so far and i just think the characters are really interesting so i'm excited to meet the others i think i'm going to try to read this book like all over the weekend like i'm going to finish it because kevin also wants to do that and caitlyn will probably do that too caitlyn is like flying through her reread so yeah honestly i think my weekend plans is going to be like mainly focused on reading and obviously this book will be the priority i'm going to film a journal video now and i'm not sure i was thinking of starting the audiobook for kingdom of the weekend but i'm just not sure if i'm in the mood because i'm in a weird mood right now so i don't know if i have the mental capacity to start a new book so i think i'm just gonna watch love island while i journal and film my video but we'll see if i start this they say these are the girls golden years but i wish i could disappear ego crashed
