A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FLIGHT ATTENDANT VLOG ✈️☁️| ANOTHER 3 DAY | PURSER POSITION.

hello beautiful people welcome to my channel my name is Janelle if you are returning subscriber what's up what's popping what's happening happy to have you here with me today and if this is the first time you're clicking on one of my videos what's up happy to have you here with me today as well so um as a disclaimer I am looking a little sketched right now I'm deep conditioning my Tresses okay so don't mind that I just wanted to record an intro to this Vlog because I got assigned a three-day trip that starts tomorrow so I wanted to let y'all know the details of that before I catch some z's so let me read you the details so we're going from Newark to stt what is stt let me click on it child because I don't even know all these airport codes okay so I'm flying to St Thomas and then I'm going from St Thomas to Dulles Washington and then I'm deadheading from Dulles to I don't know this airport code Richmond Virginia and then I'm gonna have a 12 and a half hour layover and then day number two I'm going from Virginia to Denver and then I have a three hour and 13 minute sit in Denver it never fails every time I fly to Denver I always have a sit time it's crazy but you know what that means Voodoo Donuts about to give me some donuts and then after that I'm going from Denver to MCI what is that Kansas City then I'm going to Kansas City layover in Kansas City for 13 hours and then on the third day it's one leg and done so I'm going from Kansas City to Newark it's not a bad trip it's not a bad trip but I'll be happy when it's over because after that I'm going into my two week vacation I'm so excited so really I got six days off for my vacation allowance for this year it starts on February 5th and then I was able to bid a reserve line that gave me my regular days off back to back so right after my vacation I go straight into my regular days off so I was able to plan that out and it got awarded so I'm very happy about that so I don't know what I'm gonna do where I'm gonna go but I feel like an interesting fun and exciting Vlog is going to be in the near future so we'll see what I end up doing and where I will be going but anyways yeah so I'll be very excited once this trip in so I can enter into my days off okay so back to the trip I'm gonna be the person on this trip so I'll definitely try to get some more footage of me doing my thing on the aircraft because I know some people stated that they want to see more aircraft footage so I'll do my best to get some but with being pretty serious sometimes it's kind of hard to sneak some footage in there for you guys but I will do my best to do that okay okay I'm about to wash this stuff out of my head pack my bag and have most of my stuff situated for the morning because I believe my check-in time is at 6am and right now it's 8 30 p.m so I need to go to sleep kind of early because uh tomorrow's gonna be a long day of flying the first day my flying time is about let me calculate [Music] nine hours almost so I gotta make sure I get some sleep so I'm trying to be into bed within the next hour I'm gonna do all that stuff and I will see you guys in the morning foreign [Music] atrocious they look like they need surgery done on them I can't be perfect every day you guys I'm sorry but don't worry I did file them down before I left all set and ready to go I'm running out of time so I don't have time to talk to you guys I got an ice cinnamon brown sugar latte it looks so yummy all right equipment all right got all my stuff in the closet this pulls down like this and it locks but I'm gonna leave it open just in case any first class passengers oops wants to put their stuff in here okay I got it now all right okay you guys so it's just three flight attendants on this aircraft we're on a 737 but the smaller version so the minimum crew is three so I'm going to be working in the front today by myself so I just got done sitting at the galley and organizing things the way I like it so I think it's really important rush because again it's only up here but I'm all set and ready to go Borden should be starting in about 15 minutes so welcome to United flight 1529 to St Thomas my name is Janelle and I'll be your first round today's flight thank you moms Plus members for your loyalty and to all customers for choosing to fly with us today our entire United team is here to ensure you have a great flight Fosters is our passion safety is our top priority so please take a minute and pay attention to the following safety demonstration even if you are a frequent flyer as each aircraft type is different please review the safety card located at your seat and follow along whenever the seatbelt sign is on please take your seat and fasten your seatbelt low and tight across your lap so fast and Slide the metal in into the Buckle tighten by pulling the loose end of the strap lift the Buckle to release in case of unexpected turbulence please keep your seatbelt fastened even when the seat belt sign is off you take a moment to look around in order to familiarize yourself with the aircraft this Boeing 737 is equipped with four exit doors Two on each side of the aircraft if the doors are open and emergency slides will automatically inflate it's unlikely but in a water landing four door slides attached from the aircraft and service extra flotation do not use the app exit unless advised by a crew member you will also find three liveographs located in my compartments one is located in this silver compartment in the Ford cabin and two are in ceiling compartments after the overwink exits there are also two window x's over the wings if needed a Lifeline is located in the window frame of each Overland exit all six exits are marked with overhead signs if you locate the two exits nearest your seat remember they're moving behind you if you must Evacuate the aircraft exit half lights on or near the floral glasses on exit and a change in color exit sign will help you locate the exit on safety keep all carrying on bags behind please refer to the safety partner or c for the operation of the extra doors office aircraft it's also unlikely but if necessary oxygen mask will drop from above your seat from the restroom ceilings if a strap appears and you cannot reach the mask pull down on the strap to access your mask friendly pull the mastics in the plastic tube and start the flow of oxygen place a mask over your nose and mouth slip elastic band over your head and tighten the straps oxygen is blowing even if the back does not inflate put your mask off before helping others and the unlikely event option is needed while today's flight remove any face coverings before putting on your oxygen mask should you need it you'll find a license with a water activated light and a pouch under between your seats when directed full attached to retrieve the pouch if there's a strap remove it from around the couch tear the pouch open remove and unfold the vents slip it over your head wrap the belt around your waist and secure it to the Buckle in front pull the loop into tighten just before leaving the aircraft inflate the vest by pulling down sharply on the red tab or by going into the tube this aircraft also has infant license which will be distributed if necessary tampering with disabling or destroying lavatory smoke detectors US law also requires passengers to compilable by the signs and crew member instructions we'll be taking off soon please bring your seat back up close your tray table faster your seatbelt and restore your headrest and footrest to the original positions food and beverages must be collected or put away for departure will be coming by collect any remaining items if you're seated in extra row we encourage you to open up the window okay TV desk microwave and there's a view cute simple Hotel all right all right y'all I'm so so happy to be at this hotel right now I am exhausted during my deadhead coming in here I was knocked out on the plane and the plane ride was only like an hour so definitely wasn't long enough for me to catch up on any amounts of real sleep so I'm definitely getting in the bed as soon as I shower get some food in my system change my clothes all that I'm gonna be knocked out it is currently 7 22 which is pretty early but remember I got up pretty early this morning around 4 15 I think is when my alarm went off so yeah I'm exhausted and it was just a long day and yeah I'm just ready to be done also I have a really bad headache right now when I went into the flight deck earlier to relieve one of the pilots that needed to use the bathroom I had hit my head on the control panel and yeah just being clumsy not paying attention and yeah I have a bad headache I didn't take any ibuprofen or anything so I'm not really big on taking medicine but if it doesn't get better I may have to because that happened like almost two hours ago and my head's still throbbing but I'm hoping that once I shower and lay down it'll help alleviate some of the pain I'm feeling so yeah that happened course you know typical me how is doing something crazy as far as the flights today they were really good it's a group of customers that we dealt with on both flights like everyone was so pleasant so sweet and there was literally no issues like I wish I could have that cabin for like every trip because everyone was just really really dope and I definitely enjoyed it and the flight leaving Newark to go to St Thomas and St Thomas to DC we had the same pilot and first officer for both legs and they were probably the nicest Pilots I ever met so chill really took time to talk to the crew they were really really really really really nice people and I just really appreciate appreciated that when you have really nice Crews that you fly with it makes the long days and just flying in general that much better when you can just sit down talk and get to know your fellow crewmates and your fellow co-workers because you never know you may find them again one day in the future yep that's pretty much it for the recap I am going to take a shower and I'm gonna relax for the rest of the night so I will see y'all tomorrow for day number two [Music] all right y'all it's day number two good morning I am getting ready to head to the shuttle pickup by the airport our check-in time I believe is at like 7 0 5 7 15 something like that I don't know but the shuttle's picking this up is 6 36 so we'll try the music off the back of my dress you ready to go I decided that I'm not gonna put on makeup this morning I mean not that I need it anyway right there we go as I'm getting ready I just want to talk to you guys Happy ashy it is crazy how ashy I'll be getting especially when it's cold outside people you gotta make sure that you moisturize in the winter time because you're gonna be ashy like me and then on top of that you're gonna be dry and skin gonna be cracking brittle so I'll be keeping lots of lotion on deck for moments like this because uh it has to do better with that um okay what was I about to say okay so those of you that have been subscribed to my channel for a while know that I have moments where I started like talking about random stuff and it was on my heart to share a message to anybody that this may resonate with out there because I just personally went through it and um I've been like praying to God about giving me Clarity and confirmation on certain things that I'm having a hard time making a decision about and I'll find myself like just contemplating contemplating a scenario over and over and over again and getting frustrated that I'm not getting any Clarity and I'm like man it's because I'm not talking to God about it enough I'm not being transparent enough and I'm not being consistent enough in my prayer and having this feeling that God is just supposed to work wonders in my life like that no he wants to see commitment he wants to see me um be obedient and surrender to him and what he has in store for me and he's not going to give me a lot of the things that I'm yearning for and asking for Clarity on and things that I want from my life if I'm not doing my part piggybacking off of that I've been like praying more openly and consistently and really just trying to build my relationship with God so that he's able to fill me up in the areas that I need him the most and and I have been contemplating a lot of things lately and he's been helping me get clarity on so much and I'm so grateful for that and I'm just like encouraging you who may be struggling on finding direction in your life from the smallest thing to the biggest thing you are not alone I'm telling you you are not alone God is with you God is there to help you guide you and I know I had so many moments I'm like oh no God forgot about me or God's not hearing me or God's not paying attention to me it's probably because I've done some bad things in my life and I'm being punished right like we try at least I try and interpret things in a way that's not accurate and we get discouraged by doing that and feeling like we're not worthy or that things that we want for ourselves are never going to be accomplished or it's never going to happen because we're just feeling like we're undeserving or feeling like we're alone and that's really not the case I just want to tell you that you need to stick in there you need to stay prayed up you need to journal you need to get clear on your thoughts clear on your wants clear on the direction that you need to go in your life and what it is that you need to do on your part to get there and also y'all I've been learning that sometimes when you are consistently faced with the same problem or faced with the same question that you just haven't get gotten answers to a lot of times I've been finding through God that he has given me the answer multiple times I just didn't want to listen to it I don't want to pay attention to it or I just wasn't in mindset or at the right maturity level able to accept what God was showing me and telling me and I just chose to do my own thing and here I am time and time again in the same situation dealing with the same okay because I just want to do me not living in a way that God has ordained me to to move and so a lot of times we'd be stuck in a continuous cycle because we don't want to really do the do the things that God wants because it's probably hard or really committed to something because we love it quote unquote right um and an array of other things that it kind of overshadows the direction that we should be pivoting to so yes I guess just this message is to really pay attention get clear do the things that may be difficult even if you may not see it right away but later down the line you'll be definitely more grateful and thankful that you made those hard choices and just open your mind open your eyes and open your heart to what God wants you to receive so that's today's message you guys I know it's probably a lot of hidden messages in there because I was a little bit all over the place but it's just so much that God has poured into me that I'm pouring out to you amen all right now let me finish getting dressed [Music] you see that all right y'all it's go time it's show time I need to wash this scarf uh seen two little two million little spots on there but we disguise it flip it the other way okay I actually really be laughing at myself um at the fact that like how comfortable I have gotten with you guys to where like I really be talking to y'all like my friends and telling y'all like it's a show with y'all really any and everything on camera is it's so funny but I'm just so thankful that I have created a community to where I can comfortably and openly be myself and I think that's why I gotta love me so I appreciate you guys so much all right I'm about to throw on my coats and roll my stuff downstairs and get ready to get to the airport see y'all later right we're on the Airbus today I just put some waters on the Pilot's seat so they already have that ready to go when they get in made it to Denver about to start my sit time all right y'all walk into the aircraft last fight of the day so ready to get to the hotel and chill let's do it all right ladies and gents I made it to my hotel in Kansas City y'all already know about to do a room tour what okay moving on there's me check out your girl okay let's see double bed yes yes yes yes another mirror look at my beautiful self hey all right pretty standard this is a big window okay we got the views of the highway okay parking lot pimping down here gas stations okay and um yeah dirt and trees with no leaves perfect all right y'all I'm so happy to be at this hotel finally today was a day honey it was just long and um I think what makes a day feel so drawn out is when like you do a leg and then you have a sit time and they said time was like three and a half hours and then it's just like you're lounging around so your body starts winding down a bit and then you can't even get too comfortable because you got to get right back up and do another flight so yeah I don't like when I have sit times but here we are had to go into too much detail but we had some some conflicts today with the crew I was flying with and y'all you know everyone has different personalities everyone's gonna love each other but of course we got to be respectful and push through and Lord when I tell you everybody was happy to finally get to these hotels to get a break from one another honey yes okay well the issues that was going on had nothing to do with me because you know everybody likes me but yeah I'm so happy tomorrow is the last day of this three-day trip all right so the plan is shower change clothes go get some food and maybe a cocktail because I need it all right see you guys later all right y'all I'm headed downstairs to get some food I'm starving I can't wait to eat and on some flowers [Music] all right it's the last and final day of this three day trip I'm so excited to get back to base one leg and done so we're going to Kansas City street to Newark flight time is blocked at 2 45 I think or something like that but I'm hoping it's gonna be around 2 25 2 30 hey 15 minutes 20 minutes 25 minutes you're making a huge difference when you're ready to get off the aircraft so I'm hoping all goes well today on this flight it's gonna be an earlier morning flight so hopefully everything's chill and smooth and no issues so I'm gonna finish getting dressed and then I'm gonna head downstairs to get picked up for the airport shuttle see y'all later all right off we go to the last aircraft of the day we're on the Airbus again let's do it all right you guys I'm finally back at the crib in Jersey it was supposed to be easy peasy day but nope nope nope nope we finally landed in to work at the airport there was a new terminal that opened I think last month so we get to the gate and there's Jet Bridge issues and apparently it was happening to a lot of gates they weren't able to get the Jet Bridge down and a lot of planes were just parked at the gate waiting for clearance to let passengers off they were saying that one plane at a gate was waiting almost two hours before they were able to get the passengers off so they had a long tarmac delay and guess what we were sitting there for quite some time as well I think we were part of the gate on the tarmac for like an hour and 40 minutes so that was definitely eventful um as you can imagine passengers are ready to get off crew is ready to get off pretty much everyone on the plane is ready to go um so we finally got off and yeah what a morning so all to say is I'm very very happy to be off the plane and away from the airport right now but nonetheless I'm just thankful for safety thankful that I'm in one piece as well as everybody else that was on a plane and life goes on all is going to be well so my agenda for the rest of the day is to relax you guys I need to decompress I'm going to eat some food drink some wine and I am going into my off days so I'm just grateful that I have some time off where I don't have to worry about working I could just focus on my personal life so um yeah I'll be contributing those days off to doing exactly that I hope you guys enjoyed this Vlog just as much as I
