A Brand New Custom Peterbilt 389 Quint Axle Dump Truck!

[Music] thank you [Music] so check that out you want to get out of there and show off your beauty so when you don't have hobbies like myself you just invest in more equipment right that's right that's right ain't nothing but another payment so tell me about your new pride and joy here what is it a 2023 Peterbilt three 389 389. yep Quint axle and you went all out and got every chrome package I hope so if not we got to go back and get it you gotta go get some more I hope so so you were saying that this is the last year model that they're going to make the big nose long nose would you call it it's supposed to be the last year that you'll be able to get to 389 the 389 okay this year and after how many years in business how long time you said you're finally going to order your your dream truck here [Music] you go we've been wanting one for a while so we changed the last uh 567 over to a 389 and went ahead and did the uh aluminum bought it or with the hybrid body I guess you'd say and so the entire bed is aluminum yeah and then still floors and that's for like when you're hauling bulk material it'll kind of keep your weight down yeah yeah the state uh we're uh right at 24 point a little over 24 tons you can haul it 24 times what can this truck actually gross uh it's uh 78 100 78 100 pounds okay off the interstate so that's the reason we have so many axles on our trucks down here is the weight limit laws on the uh trucks and in it like an axle spacing too you've got to have a for like the bridges and everything to be able to expand that weight out all right what type of motor we got in it it's uh Cummins 565 which is the most horsepower you can get with Allison that's telling me so well that's what all of our truck the automatically got 565 with the Allison automatic units and this is automatic it is it is yep yep how long is the bed on it 22 feet lift gate painted frame to match as you saw pulling out everything is painted to match r s did a good job they put the uh the lights underneath the bed for me um they they uh added the Dual Revolution lights all around so one flipper to switch oh yeah we'll have to show that off you can have your standard orange and and red lights or you can flip them all and all be blue I might have to put it back in the shade to see those full mud flaps not We're not gonna say mud flaps this truck's probably not going to be in the mud yeah let's just say flaps flaps yeah dirt flop rocks air flaps hey y'all but uh but yeah they did a lot of detail on this one for me you know just oh put this smooth aluminum boards the covers on top yeah I see they got the engraved Peterbilt logo in it white and blue oh got me a flag oh do you no you do have train horns on here oh yeah we'll have to check all that out so you got to access door right here so you don't have to climb over to bed to get into it they have strobes in the front and back of the bed oh yeah hey yo we went there with a different uh Lights under the door just to give that downward lights we've got lights shining down now okay something a little different [Applause] I'll go in there and fire it up and raise the bed up let's check out the tarp and everything I want to see that [Music] oh yeah that's cool there American flag foreign Joy he's just like me loves equipment he loves trucks frames painted to match truck steel floor and rails with aluminum sides [Music] no he's got this look at the lights he's got him on Blue right now [Music] oh yeah that flag looks pretty good [Applause] I heard a couple pieces of sand that you would hold in there were you nervous on the first load what'd you tell the loader operator on the first load that if they couldn't load it uh in the truck to let me know and I'll sit right there while they get somebody came we're not going to be coming up there but half of it falling off the bucket and uh try to put it in there yeah yeah that's made well thank goodness at the court that I haul a lot of wake Stone they've got the best of the best operators so we don't we don't have much of a problem he knows when you show up that if he needs to take another another half a second there to shake the bucket off it's not the good the sand pieces are you know different places like that I double checked her yeah the normal places we don't have any trouble that's the best you can get do you get out and ask them for their operating card if that's funny yeah I can see it real good there on the uh and with the flip of a switch I'll turn back over to the orange yeah I don't even know if the uh the newest thing did over just did was the flat screen on the inside that's pretty neat they changed everything to a uh a flat screen so you don't even have to push button yeah you don't have the manger controls anymore so not to climb up on us I don't even want to step in there so clean we'll go around on the other side we'll take her for a little test ride and see what it'll do got to put some miles on it right I'm gonna take my shoes off and leave them on the ground out here in here it's an all push button now you turn some of these lights off all right I've got some of the sensors turned off on this thing but it's got radius sensors tilt sensors uh everything is touch screen is the bed controller everything in the touch screen really what is the lever right here for you can adjust this hole oh okay I ain't real sure how to do it I can turn it over I didn't know if it was like the the oh no I got a problem one thing one of those things they said it right there you might as well leave it alone yeah kids up with your low percentage it'll keep up with your uh your amounts of material hold like as far as the low count okay if you forget to turn the PTO off it'll turn to P2 off for you once it gets to a certain mile per hour that you set and so you can't pretty much you dump a load and you take off once you get to a certain speed it'll let the bed down in case somebody accidentally forgets to it'll latch it'll latch the tailgate if you forget once you get to a certain mile per hour it won't let you dump if you're leaning too bad it won't it'll alarm will go off on here and it'll tell you you lean too much really so before you got the box right here that would be your forward neutral and well yeah yeah boom John's truck it was right well it's kind of right here it's in the console I thought no that's you're talking about for the the oh yeah the trans okay so your transmission stuff's up here yeah yeah I thought you were talking about that right here was in the screen as well yeah everything else is right here they're getting ready to uh put the lift axles in in this screen as well uh they got the for me let's see they got the backup camera in the in the screen now see actually you got a pretty good camera too you can actually see where you're uh you can actually you can actually add more cameras to it yeah especially probably nice to have one at the front too so when you're pulling up I think we're gonna do one in the bed now it shines down in the bed like when you're spraying material you can kind of see how much what I was going uh y'all electronic Nationals oh yeah you can change everything on this thing you can do all kinds of 3 900 miles on it yeah whoa half of those are coming back from the truck show on it probably he told me he had it washed up for the truck show that is in what August uh October October last weekend okay make sure it was clean before gotta make sure it's still going got the tarp wound up it's a nice visor there we've got to keep it PG-13 there yeah man we even got oh got your name on it get it put in there these still what six speed uh yeah Allison yes none of that has changed we made good luck with all them so far he said I'm eventually supposed to get an air ride seat over here it's already at uh tlg waiting to get put in so we just uh that way I can sit low like you do yeah that's right because right now my view is limited by chromium that's good you don't need to see outside and we can all right let's get on the highway and see what this bad boy will do you can't ask for it to shift no better oh no that's nice now you don't think you're gonna have a problem merging into homecoming traffic now do you I hope not you don't never know when a Corvette's around but the Corvettes around there see that person right there is already scared because uh see scared him right out the way if they don't know that the left Lane's for losers cruises right along don't it very good got to load some weight on there to keep the pump down just can't beat looking at the long Hood with the river they talk right they're gonna they might get a chance to sell one more for this one more one more a road tracker though right yeah yeah on the wish list oh yeah she rides real good so that is the posted speed limit you're doing 71 sir yeah back it down don't need to be getting any citations we'll wait till we get back to the shop to hear the train horn yeah we don't want to cause any accidents right now yeah yeah thank you that's about it she's quiet I had to get make it make it a little louder oh yeah go ahead and do it Yep the the orange lights on the bottom too when you change it back over to Orange they're all blue ones oh really all right flip it back to the orange oh there you go and it's still blue though they don't change either have lights or no lights under there at least they're up there right away yeah yeah too fast everything's gonna get tore up it's just how long it takes right one day we're gonna spread some gravel with this might not be this year but one year one year we're going to put some chains right here things I like it I know you do thank you because you bought it I'm excited about it they did a good job yep Peterbilt tlg and RNs they both did a great job getting it just like a one that's all you can ask for and then you'll get your bumper soon with some more Chrome and more lights well they have the changeable lights where they'll go from Blue Revolution lights all the way across the bottom and it's going to be a little bit bigger yep good deal
