[Music] hey i was supposed to go to the desert ranch today and help keith but he said he had things handled so we're gonna see to a few things up here [Music] today we're gonna run down to the ranch and check some cows take a trailer take lunch box take some cattle cake some salt some protein tubs we're gonna go loaded for bear so let's go get a trailer okay let's go get a saddle thrown on this horse load a little cake little supplement spend the rest of the day checking some cows [Music] so do [Music] do all right the only thing we need now is some protein tubs we'll get them around back they're back in the equipment yard [Music] do do [Music] um [Music] well that was kind of fun things look pretty bleak from about a thousand feet up in the air 700 feet whatever we were looks pretty dry here doesn't it it is dry all right let's uh we didn't see any cows there's no cows here at this water i can see some up up the pasture there away so we're gonna ease on up there and see if we can call some of them to us i thought there'd be some up in these cedar breaks over here but i'm not seeing any all right let's ease up through there they still got a little protein inside that tub we might throw these other tubs off up here at this other like this other drink all right we're going to trot us a little circle right up through this little draw over here and into these trees see if we can see any cows i see a few cows right up there on the horizon but last time i was in here i didn't see as many cows as i thought i should for as many cows are in here if that makes any sense anyway i'm going to go kind of ride along this fence over here there's a pretty good draw over here that this fence crosses i want to make sure it hasn't washed out and that we don't have a bunch of cows on the neighbors i see a bunch of cows right over there i can't tell which side of the fence they're on they're right on the fence so we'll go over there and take a little peek at them see which side they're on i bet they're i bet there are cows on this side there's a gate right over there we might trot over there and make sure it's closed i think these cattle are the neighbors it appears to me they are on the other side of the fence [Music] do [Music] neighbors cattle pretty nice little little heifers right there all right let's go up here see if we can see anything off in this draw all right so it's not the best fence across this wash this is called washboard but uh this is the spot that i was a little bit worried about that maybe we had cattle getting through here going on to the neighbors it doesn't look to me like there's been any tracks back and forth across here you can see this is a pretty it's a pretty deep old wash to try to put a fence across but it does look like the fence is up like i say not the best fence but it's been turning cattle there's been a lot of cattle tracks right through here these were made in the mud trying to think when it rained down here last [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] place i kind of like getting out in this country and around a little bit just seeing what's going on there's been a lot of cattle up and down this draw right here pretty good feed down inside this draw lots of dry feed but there's lots of it all right let's uh let's get out on the top here see where the truck is maybe load up go up to that what we call the ronnie tank and see if we can call some cows in up there a little bit of cake it's getting along into the short spot of the day here where it's going to get dark pretty soon now [Music] this would be a good place for an outlaw to hang out i don't know what it is okay back to the truck made a pretty good little circle didn't see anything there are some cows over here by this tank we'll go over here and feed them see how many show up maybe those bulls will follow me over here all right i think i found all the cows they were up here on the other end of the pasture [Music] [Music] all right i feel a lot better i saw what i think's the majority of the cows that are in this pasture and they all look to be doing pretty good so we will leave them behind and we'll head for the house it's going to be a little bit after dark by the time we get there but i have headlights and i know the way home so that's where we're headed right now [Music] you
