hi friends and thanks so much for being here I'm back with another Mass producing card video now I know you love these videos today is going to be a little bit different we are going to make nine cards but we're going to make several different designs we're going to make three each of three different designs and along the way I'm going to share ideas with you for how to step up your cards so we're going to start with a really simple and basic cards that are easy to make easy to make multiples of if you want to do that but then for each one I'm going to show how to step it up a little bit and then how to step it up a little bit more so if you ever have cards that you're making and you look at it and you think it needs something I'm just not sure what I'm going to share with you loads of ideas for how to take those cards and add just something a little bit extra so that it will look finished at the end I'm going to share something that's been going on in our personal life around here something that was a little bit scary uh it it you know life is never boring so anyway any stick around for the end we'll chat then I love to create cards that are basically artwork that I've created with my stamps so that is one of the things we're going to do today we are also going to create some simple cards with designer papers as well I've got just a lot of different ideas to share with you today so I hope you will stick around and watch now you can already see here I am starting to create some of this artwork on a piece of plain white vanilla card stock I'm going to start with card bases here that measure 4 by 5 and A4 and I am using a stamp set called painted lavender I'll show it here in a little bit and I am just going to do a bit of stamping and create this very [Music] simple card for our first one so I I like that you saw how quick and easy that was and we're going to add a greeting to that right now and this is going to be the main part of our very first card so the greetings I'm using are from a separate set you can get all of this together in one product bundle if you like uh let's see the greetings I'm using I'll show you here real quick and then we'll keep stamping so we have the painted lavender Stamp Set The Perennial postage stamp set each one of these has a coordinating die set and you'll see the one here in a little bit let me grab a card base we'll stick this on and here is our very first simple C now if you want to make some like this you could lay out several of these white card bases do all your stamping assemble them all all at once quick and easy right now let's do another one we're going to do something very similar we're just going to do a little bit more this time so we're going to do a little bit more stamping you can see here that I am doing a technique I really like to do I do it often it's called stamping off so I stamp once and then I stamp again without re yanking and actually I can even do this another time if I want to so each time you get a faded it gets a little bit more faded so we'll do just a little bit up in that corner now let's bring the branch back in we'll add a few branches and one thing I love about this Stamp Set is it has a lot of pieces and parts so what that means is you can keep it simple and stamp with just just the basics maybe a stem and a flower or you can do a lot more stamping if you want to so let's add these branches in and now let's do a little bit more that we didn't do last time so I'm going to bring in another color of ink the color I have been have been using so far I've been using gorgeous grape and shaded Spruce and now I am adding in some Blackberry Bliss here with this little single Branch single stem of flowers and if I want to let's use the same one and let's add a lighter color so this is fresh Fria okay so as you can see we took that same basic idea a from the first card but we've stepped it up with just a little bit more stamping let's put this on a card base and then we're going to step up the greeting a little bit too instead of stamping right on this card I am going to pop up the greeting and I want to show you to create the greetings I used the perennial postage die set so you can see here a few of the ones I created now one of the things I like to do when I make a lot of cards at once is I like to if I'm doing D cutting a lot of times I'll stick with punches but if I'm doing D cutting I like to use dyes where I can cut multiples at once so what I did I love this set because it has all these different sizes and shapes and you can cut them all at once so I put my paper I put a full piece of paper on my cutting plate laid a whole bunch of these down and I ran through and cut them all out at one time then I started grabbing some of these different greeting stamps and I just stamped the ones on that I thought I wanted to use or the ones that fit best so let's grab one of our greetings here and I put some dimensionals behind to pop it up just a little bit so now we have a version just a little bit stepped up from that first one now we are going to create one more let's do that stamping again and I have a fun fun little item of interest to add at the end actually I think going to do a little bit less stamping this time that last one got pretty full let's keep this one a little bit more open We'll add the branches like we have been so if you watch along with my videos uh do you know what my favorite color is anybody anybody we are definitely seeing my favorite color today this bundle you're going to see some of the designer paper here in a little bit that also features the same colors I'm using right now and you you're seeing my favorite colors I absolutely love purple purple is my absolute favorite so we'll add a few of these I am going to pull in one stamp I did not use on the last card for fun I am keeping these all in the purple range but it would be fun you could use multiple colors you could add in some blues you could add in some Reds do all all kinds of different things with your colors here now let's add just for fun oh I changed my mind I'm getting ahead of myself does that ever happen in your craft area so grab a card base we'll get this attached and here is a fun little thing I'm going to add on this one we are going to add a diecut butterfly now these are some that actually come precut uh so you can use the I love these as an option for quick and easy cards but there are other options so you could use some kind of punch you could use a d cut that you create yourself but this just adds a nice little touch something a little bit more detailed than the ones that I created before and you you could make some simple you could step some up uh but here is that third example so three examples of the same card and of course there's more ways to step these up some real basic ways that I'm going to share on some of these next ones for these next few we are going to use some of the designer paper it's called perennial lavender I'm completely in purple love with it uh but what I've done I've cut pieces that measure 4X 5 and a/4 and when I do that when I cut out a full sheet of pieces that measure 4X 5 and a/4 I end up with some strips left over at the end we're using those strips so this strip measures 3/4 of an inch by 5 and A4 so I have this much ready now what I am going to do to finish this card is just one quick and easy thing and I am going to add one of these beautiful greetings that I've created using I mentioned a minute ago I like to use these dice sets that you can cut a lot at Once Die cutting can take a lot of time if you're cutting One D out at a time uh this is another set that is really neat and I want to show it to you real quick it is called thoughtful moments and what it is is a it's called a hybrid embossing folder it includes an embossing folder that coordinate with one big D to cut all of these out so if you use this just with a piece of paper you emboss the piece of paper and cut it out this is what you will get these embossed diecut pieces now if you want to step it up a little bit before you run the paper through what you can do is use a brayer and run your ink on the raised part it's the side over here the left side right now so ink this up on an ink pad I use gorgeous grape I ined over here so the ink was on these raised areas then I did not know that you could put this inside and dcut and emboss it all at one time but you can okay so I put the ink on I laid this right on there very carefully I again carefully place my paper measuring 6x6 right over top folded it closed ran it through and when they came out I had all of these lovely pieces there's more you're going to see the others that we're going to use here in just a second with the added color so I love this as an option uh to create a lot of these greetings that you can have on hand if you've seen my tag box where I like to keep a lot of greetings prepped and ready to put on cards it saves so much time when I'm I am creating things just to be able to pull out greetings and not have to stamp one right at the time so this is a really cool product that I I thought would be fun to show for this because when you're Mass producing cards again it's nice to have some of those things that make it quick and easy to make your greetings and the other pieces of your card so I did pop that up but look how easy that is it's two pieces of designer paper and one greeting and I made all of those greetings at the same time so this did not make take much time at all let me pull in my next one so here's another some other prints from that paper pack I'm going to use the greeting that says you make me happy and for this one I am going to use another one of those butterflies so I've placed glue dots on just one little glue dot on the back of here uh that's going to hold that in place now we'll put this greeting over top and you can see the finished card okay so we just added a butterfly and you can see how that one turned out now let's bring in the third one and for this one I'm actually going to change up the card base so I have these gold foiled flowers cards and envelopes that I'll show you the envelope too aren't these beautiful I had these laying here and I hadn't had a chance to use them yet and I thought you know what this is a perfect example of or perfect perfect thing to show for how to step up a card easily now let's make sure it opens the right way do you ever put your cards together the wrong way me too it happens okay we're going to grab another butterfly and pop up this greeting on top I just love these I hope you like these cards I love the colors I love just like the butterflies that I don't know everything about them okay hopefully you enjoy them as well now let's get on to our third card design we're going to get back to doing some more stamping here so I'll bring in my scrap paper again bring in some card stock and for this one we're going to use some of the same stamps but we're going to use them a little bit differently so I am going to stamp what's going to look like bouquets of flowers and I'm going to do my stamping off Tech technique again so I'll stamp once and then I'll stamp again we're going to do this create three of these now I have this stamp that is the stems so I'll ink that up I'm using shaded Spruce ink here and I am going to stamp this one a second time as well stamp down here two times and over here two times I we bring in a card base get this attached and for this one I'm showing you different options for greetings on all of these for this one I use some of those long narrow greetings that are in the stamp set these long skinny ones now when I stamp these I always pull out my strips that end up up left over from cutting my card mats so when you take a 8 and 1 12 by 11 piece of card stock and you cut it down for these card mats that leave a little bit of the Border showing on your cards you end up with strips like this and I save them and a lot of times I use them for my greetings so I stamped on there I trimmed them to 5 and a/4 inch wide put some dimensionals behind and we have a really simple greeting for this one okay we are going to recreate that but we're going to use a different card matth this time do you recognize this this is from that perennial postage die set and when I ran I said I ran all those dies through at the same time and was able to cut quite a few at once this is one of the ones that I cut so we'll Stamp Those let's stamp the branches and this one's a little bit smaller so we won't see quite as much of it now let's put this on the card base and let's run one of these greetings across you are loved beyond measure okay so there's our second one now let's do this one more time for this one I am going back to a standard card mat we'll stamp these BS one more [Music] time when you're stamping off keep in mind can you see that funny line right here that's where the edge of my card was when I'm stamping off I'm stamping that and then I'm always moving away towards the edge of the card so that that funny line ends up outside of my card and it doesn't show up on the card if you ever stamp off and you get those funny lines that's why it's from the edge of your card stamp the stems and for this one we're going to do a couple of different things to add to it the first thing I want to do is punch the corners this is a really nice corner punch and I will link to all these products in the video description below and I'm going to use this decorative punch for this one now sometimes I'm I'm still debating I think I just want to do my opposite Corners just for something a little bit different you can do all four that would probably be the more common thing to do is to stand up all four of your corners but let's make it a little interesting when it's time let's do something a little bit different and here's my card base I'm going to do the same thing on my card base this one's a little bit tougher cuz I am punching through two layers okay now we can attach the this to that base isn't that nice I think that creates kind of a really really [Music] unique card that's just a little bit different than normal put our greeting on and now we have a few embellishments this is one of the easiest things you can do when your card just needs something a little bit extra and you're just not sure what a bow or my favorite is a little bit of twine this is my lenen thread twine that I use all the time it coordinates with everything I think I've ever created so it gets used a lot uh and then some gems some rhinestones of some sort these cordinate with this bundle I've been showing you and I have already used lots of them as you can see let's just add one at each end a lot of times I like to put my gems on randomly but for this one let's let's just put one at each end okay so let me bring in these other two we'll look at all three here together and you can see these three different examples so I hope you can use these ideas to create multiples to step up your cards or maybe step them down a little bit to your level I'm glad you've been here today now I'll flip my camera around let's talk a little bit so I mentioned at the beginning that I was going to share something that had happened here recently that was kind of scary uh life is never dll as you know so I got a call here not too long ago from my husband it was one of those phone calls you don't want to get now granted I could have gotten a lot worse phone calls than this one but this it it was the phone call that starts I'm okay but he wanted to let me know he had been in an accident so we we have a small Trucking Company hauling farm equipment so when farmer Matt is not farming he is often Trucking and Hauling farm equipment and he had been hauling a tractor this particular day a very large tractor for a potato farm and he had gotten in an accident so he'd been hauling a tractor a very large tractor for a a potato farm and he' gotten into an accident someone a truck like a small truck that could haul two cars on it had pulled out in front of him uh they had not stopped at the stop sign on this is a divided highway two two lanes going each way just a state route but uh this truck did not even slow down for the stop sign my husband ends up hitting him so it was quite an eventful situation um the man well the man was the helicopter the helicopter that comes uh took the man he is alive we have not been able to find out exactly how he is but we think he is probably okay um so he had pulled out my husband hit him kind of right behind the cab of the truck because this is a two-lane uh situation there was another semi driving right beside my husband who also hit the same pickup truck so when my husband hit him he lost his steering he ends up going left across the the oncoming traffic thankfully did not hit anything there uh yeah okay I'm getting distracted again because this happens a lot so he lost his steering he goes down through a ditch thankfully he did not the the truck did not turn over uh we believe the reason the truck did not turn over is probably because the trailer he was using is very low to the ground and we think the trailer probably secured helped provide stability to the truck to keep the truck from turning over so goes through this rough ditch ends up in a dealer lot for semi-trailers so he can't see because the hood of the semi is like flew up and he can't see anything thankfully he did not hit an electric pole thankfully he did not hit the big heavy trailers that were sitting there uh he ended up running into one of these brand new semi-trailers pushed it into two more brand new semi-trailers at some point the hood comes down he sees the building coming at him and like Slams on the brakes and thankfully didn't end up in the building uh all the while on the back is the big tractor so like there's a lot there's a lot of things going on here two semis a truck with two cars on it brand new Semi Trailers there's a track like lots of things for insurance to deal with here right so after thankfully everything is okay we think the man is okay uh who had pulled out but I started thinking about this and for whatever reason this analogy came to mind like life is a wild ride I'm thinking about the tractor that was on the trailer during all this so my husband's driving the semi with the tractor on the trailer behind him okay so thinking about this analogy like it's kind of like life right like life is a wild ride things got really Rocky for the tractor back here and what is wrong with the tractor back here not very much was wrong with the tractor uh the rims and the tires had some damage but as far as we know uh we think that is all that is going to have to be replaced on the tractor you know why because the tractor was strapped to a really solid foundation in that trailer and several years ago life got a little crazy for me like a little too much to handle like I couldn't too many things going on around me that were out of my control and I just like couldn't handle all of it and where I ended up was going straight to my faith and reminding myself Ju Just trusting the Lord is going to carry me through this like I can't do anything about whatever is going on around me but I'm going to trust that he is going to carry me through all of this that is my solid foundation that when the world around me is spiraling out of control I know that he is going to take care of me and that is unchanging and I just thought of that with this tractor like you know if it had not been strapped so securely to its foundation that was taking care of it it definitely would not have made made it through that was one of my first thoughts when I found out when when my husband first called me and told me all of this I did not ask a single question because I knew well all he told me was he was okay but he was in an accident I did not ask a single question because I knew it had just happened he had police to deal with he had things to deal with I could tell it was serious I didn't ask a single question but one of the many questions in my mind while I was waiting to be able to talk to him again was oh goodness what was he hauling and well I knew he was hauling a tractor I didn't know at the time how large the tractor was it's a big tractor uh but I'm thinking like oh my goodness I hope the tractor stayed on the trailer because when things like this happen if the chains or the straps would happen a break you know the tractor could end up not on the trailer anymore not securely attached to the foundation so anyway there's some of our excitement from life I hope you're doing well friends I appreciate you watching along hope you have a blessed day and I hope you'll be back again next time when I'll be here helping you to handm make with love
