hello guys welcome back to my Channel today we are doing goth makeup through the decades 70s makeup just a few things before I get started on the makeup um my inspiration pictures were kind of hard to find I mainly took inspiration from The Rocky Horror Picture Show of course because that was in the 70s and I also found inspiration picks from Cher and some disco girls that I found on the internet um and I found a few inspiration pictures of goth people from the 70s I'm not 100 sure that they are from the 70s but I kind of took inspiration from all different places to kind of form this makeup look and how I would do my makeup if I were in that era and Goth all right starting off I'm taking this generic ass moisturizer from Trader Joe's this probably isn't the best for my skin but I'm using it anyway you guys know the deal I start off with contacts and then I'm priming my face with the elf power grip primer I've been using this a lot recently I stopped using it for a while because I thought it was breaking me out but this actually works wonders for holding my makeup and making it stick extremely well [Music] now going in with the Nyx blur Foundation I've been raving about this Foundation all on my Tick Tock but this Foundation is seriously I think my favorite Foundation of all time and I think this color matches my skin perfectly there's just something about this Foundation that like made me fall in love with it I've been using it every single time I do my makeup I highly recommend that you get it if you haven't and it's it's super affordable this video isn't sponsored but I literally fell in love with this Foundation you guys know I also love the matching concealer which is the Nyx bear with me concealer serum I believe I use that in every single one of my videos and this formula is just that on another level now I'm going in with the Juvia's Place concealer I'm doing this to highlight all the top points of my face so I'm starting off with my nose and then moving on to under my eyes my upper lip and on my chin like I always do just for context um this makeup is not to be exactly how people in the 70s used to do their makeup or exact techniques that they used in the 70s to do their makeup I've seen so many comments of older Generations telling me we didn't do that we used to use this blah blah blah blah and listen I totally respect that like if I were doing it like that and was totally recreating it exactly how they did it in the 70s then I would appreciate that criticism but I am recreating makeup through the decades in my own style this is not to be like an exact replica or extensive research on the products they used in those times you know this is just basically how I would do my makeup in these eras to set my face I'm using this hourglass Veil powder and listen the hype is Justified on this powder guys this this powder is 50 which is insanely expensive but a little bit goes such a long way and can you see how it literally blurs my skin like I haven't had another powder do that and it just matches to your skin perfectly like literally perfectly I I condone spending fifty dollars on this if you have it if not there is so much other options for powders at the drugstore don't think that you have to like buy this powder okay to set the rest of my face I'm going in with the KVD um powder foundation this is almost gone I need to get a new one I'm in desperate need of a new one but at least I can say I used up this whole product and I really liked it um so yeah I'm just taking that and setting the rest of my face and just basically going over my entire face again [Music] now spraying my face with the morphe setting spray I like to do this after I put all the powders on my face just to like you know melt everything in but now I'm gonna go in with my Contour um I'm not really going to explain this because you guys have seen me do this like a thousand and one times so I feel like I would just be beating a dead horse if I were to explain to you what I was doing so I'm just gonna Contour my nose per usual foreign four eyebrows I am gonna start with a very thin brow initially this was all I was gonna do was just the very very thin brow but as you will see later on in the video I do do a little bit of touch-ups to this brow and I do add a little fun Twist on it so for right now I am doing like the thin brow look but later on it's it's gonna change but I'm taking the Anastasia gel eyeliner in jet with a angled brush to do my eyebrows I I've been doing my eyebrows like this for a long time and it's just what works best for me and what keeps my eyebrows staying like really really black so I would honestly recommend using a gel eyeliner if you want like that pure black look instead of pomade [Music] now for the fun part we are doing the eyes I'm taking the Holy Trinity palette by Hell by its beauty in most of my inspiration pictures that I found and of course in Rocky Horror Picture Show they use like this really bright blue on their eyes and I think that was really a staple in that era so I'm taking that light blue shimmery color from the palette and just putting it all over my eyelids with my fingers I also wanted to let you guys know that I do have a discount code with hellbice beauty it's just my name Santana and all lowercase and you can get 10 off they recently sent me a bunch of their products and it's all I've been using now I'm obsessed with everything that they sent me I highly recommend all of their products to you now I'm just putting a bright white that was in that palette I don't know the shade name off the top of my head I'm just taking that and putting it all on the inner corners of my eye and kind of blending it upwards a little bit okay so I decided that that light blue just wasn't enough for me so I'm taking this darker baby blue from The Velvet velor palette from kimchi Cosmetics I believe and I'm kind of shaping that in a wing shape um because I saw quite a bit of inspiration pictures that had this shape as well but you know I'm still kind of molding it to be my own I didn't put that entirely on my lid I still kept that lighter blue in the inner corner and then kind of like faded it out foreign Ed eyeliner like always this eyeliner is also from Hell by its beauty this is the best felt tip eyeliner I have ever freaking used it dries down so matte and it's so pigmented if you're looking for a new good felt tip eyeliner I definitely recommend this one and here's where I was telling you that I changed my eyebrows a little bit I added that little triangle point to the inner parts of my brows I think this actually really tightened the look and made it that staple you know 70s makeup look [Music] foreign [Music] I know people in the 70s probably wouldn't have used false eyelashes like this but I seriously feel so naked if I don't wear them so I'm just adding this smaller pair to me to my eyes so as you saw in many of the inspiration pictures I found there's these little like drawn on eyelashes on the bottom so I'm making sure to add that under my eyes I'm not adding any eyeshadow or anything under my eyes because I didn't see that in any of the inspiration pictures so I'm just adding these little eyelashes to the bottom of my eyes to pull in the look and of course doing my inner Corner eyeliner I'm sorry I'm so out of frame for this shot I just wasn't paying attention I guess to notice that I was like not in the frame at all and that it totally like Whited out my face okay I didn't show what I was using for blush but I was using the Holy Trinity palette that I would used on my eyes earlier but um I did notice that in a lot of the inspiration pictures they go pretty heavy on the blush so that's what I am doing but I did put a little bit too much so I'm blending it out with a beauty blender and for lips I'm also using an eyeshadow from the same palette it's just this this dark red color I do go in later and add a trim of black liner around my lips because that's how Jim Curry has his in the Rocky Horror Picture Show so I wanted to imitate that and then I'm just adding this NYX Butter Lip Gloss on top of everything all right moving on to hair um I feel like this was kind of a fail for me because the hair didn't turn out quite how I wanted it to but to be fair this was my first time attempting to do like the 70s blowout look so I'm taking a straightener and curling away from my hair to get that wavy pushed back look I'll put up some inspiration pictures in case you don't know what I'm talking about but I feel like it was kind of hard for me to do this look because I did I do have blunt straight across bangs and for this look they kind of have that curtain bang look so I feel like it just didn't look right on my hair and I also didn't execute it well enough but that's what I was going for oh for the outfit I just kept it simple I have my Joy Division t-shirt a acid denim jacket and that's pretty much it for the look um but I hope you guys enjoyed this video let me know what other videos you would like to see and I will see you in my next video bye
