7 Ways to know you're hearing God- Prophet Hope Percy Khoza

ministry and i believe this video will help you a lot because i'm gonna be giving you five ways to know that god just spoke to you a lot of people have been asking me this question how can i know that god has spoken to me and usually it's mostly a lengthy and lengthy teaching but right now i'm gonna try and break it down in you know in in five easy ways in the next couple of minutes just to give you that picture that okay i know god spoke to me oh if something like this happens it means actually god spoke to me glory be to god so that's what we're going to be talking about we're going to be talking about five ways to know that god just spoke to you by the way god is constantly speaking all the time god has a word for everybody god is a word for the season god is a word for the church god has a word for the world god is constantly saying something that's why we all have dreams that's why some are visions that's why some hear the voice of god or god speaks to you through your imagination or through spiritual thoughts or through signs and wonders there are so many ways that god speaks it's just that we don't perceive we don't know that it's actually god speaking and let me tell you something if you cannot identify the voice of god in your life it means already you are walking in disobedience because if god speaks a message to you and you walk in disobedience or god speaks a message to you and you don't hear the message or you don't understand the message or god shows you something and you don't understand or you don't have the interpretation and you delay finding out the interpretation or you delay getting to have knowledge about hearing his voice better it means you're walking in disobedience already because god has declared a word but you don't understand it or you have not grasped it god has given an instruction but you cannot perceive it god has already told you what needs to be done but you did not perceive it so already you're working in disobedience and most of us have spent most of our lives working in disobedience just because we could not understand or some even at the moment cannot understand what god is saying or how god actually speaks and how they can be able to know that god has just spoken so i'm gonna give you these five easy ways for you to know that god has just spoken to you and if you fall amongst these five there's many more other ways but i'm just gonna mention five um but if you fall under these five seek spiritual help or spiritual guidance find a mentor somebody that can be able to take you further and take you higher so that you can really really develop hearing the voice of god that's where we all want to be it's not only meant for prophets or those who are called into the prophetic ministry it's meant for every believer for every child of god and i believe in most churches this is one of the most fundamental teachings that we have been robbed of is that we have been taught how to pray but we have never been taught how to listen because when we pray you know is i don't even want to use the word pray we have been taught how to speak to god but we have never been taught how to listen to god because prayer is communication so it means our prayer is not complete if he has not yet spoken back to us so i want us to be able to achieve the place where we can say yes i've spoken to him and he has spoken back to me and that is prayer but at the moment most of us we are not praying because we are able to speak but we are not able to receive glory be to god so five easy steps but i'm gonna be opening where i'm open one of my favorite chapters in the bible john 14 15 16 because this is where we find a little bit of introduction about the holy spirit very powerful but where i am is john chapter 16 verse 7 however i'm telling you nothing but the truth when i say it is profitable for you that i go because if i do not go the comforter the counsel the helper advocate the intercessor strengthener stand by will not come to you but if i go away i will send him to you and when he comes he will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness and about judgment glory be to god you can read the the scripture uh whenever you have time you can read all these chapters verse 13 but when he the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all truth for he will not speak his own message but he will tell you whatever he hears and he will announce and declare to you the things that are to come so that's very powerful i think i'm going to add and just make it maybe seven ways or whatever it doesn't matter it doesn't matter they're just i'm just going to flow as the holy spirit reveals this message to me i think one of the most important things to know that the holy spirit just spoke to you or god just spoke to you is that you are going to receive a message of jesus christ or a message concerning jesus christ very importantly for us to know the holy spirit does not speak of himself because the holy spirit did not send himself the holy spirit was sent you see in heaven there's submission as well there's order there's there's this sense of rank jesus did not send himself jesus was sent by the father right now the holy spirit did not send himself he was sent by jesus so there's this sense of order and just you know sweet harmony that takes place that's so so wonderful so the holy spirit was sent by jesus and the holy spirit was not sent with his own message just like when jesus was sent to come and win souls and bring people to repentance and save humankind no the holy spirit comes with a message from jesus so he's not going to speak his own message he's going to speak that which he is told so one sign to know that you have just heard god is that there will be a message from jesus and when i say one side that you have heard god um what i'm basically saying is that because the voice that we are hearing right now in this season is the voice of the holy spirit maybe i'll do that in another video whose voice are you hearing and just explain what i just said right now so the voice we are hearing right now is the voice of the holy spirit so he speaks he stays in us and he speaks in us through us so he hears jesus we hear the holy spirit so when i'm saying i'm hearing the voice of god i'm talking about the holy spirit because he's also god all right so one sign is that you will hear the message of jesus very importantly sign number two that god just spoke to you is that the message that you receive it will contain truth right remember when the spirit of truth so the holy spirit is also a spirit of truth so anytime you know another sign to know that you have just heard the voice of god or you've heard the holy spirit is that the message will bring truth the world does not like the truth that's why they can't receive the holy spirit because they cannot be able to handle the truth there are some people that have willingly chosen to stay in darkness so when the spirit of truth comes he will lead you into all truth so look at your life are you being led into deception are you being deceived all the time are you being fooled all the time if this is the case then clearly it means you are not receiving the truth maybe the truth is being spoken to you but you are just not taking it into account or it simply means that there is another voice that is speaking to you and that's why you constantly find yourself in the dark because when the spirit of truth comes he will lead you into all truth and truth is light right not all truth is nice because some of us we just willingly want to stay in darkness or want to stay in the lives that we're living not all truth is nice not all truth is accommodating but truth brings light so anytime there's the truth there will be light there's direction you know where you're going when there's light there's direction there's vision you are able to see what's happening in your life so many people are finding themselves being scammed all the time being hurt all the time being deceived all the time fooled all the time it it could mean that the voice that you are listening to that is not the spirit of truth because any time the voice of god comes it brings truth so if you are surrounded by people or even spirits that constantly bring lies and you are constantly falling to that just know that god has not spoken because god will not deceive you all right so he leads us into all truth so look out for the truth the truth is what will set you and i free right point number three this is one of my favorites and it's one that has helped me to actually really do discover hearing the voice of god and you really gotta pay attention right i teach this in the prophetic school a lot and people really take it light but in the prophetic ministry and in hearing god you really have to pay attention you have to be attentive so point number three is just that it has to do with attention so point number three is look out for the spiritual conflict one sign another sign to know that you have heard god is that you have to look out for the spiritual conflict when you read the book of galatians 5 you find out about the conflict that takes place between the spirit and the flesh right at this moment many people are flesh first and spirit last because many people give they heed to their flesh first listen to their flesh first than they do to the spirit of god so when you do that even a message from god can be blocked by the desires of the flesh it doesn't matter how powerful a message from god is if your fleshly desires are above seeking the face of god the will of god your flesh will always suppress a message from god that's why the flesh is constantly fighting against the spirit so another sign to know that god just spoke to you look out for the conflict between your flesh and your spirit how do i know the conflict for example maybe you you you you you want to go out somewhere and there's a voice that comes to your message maybe you know you're not quite clear that you heard a voice but you just have that thing to say something is telling me not to go out but your flesh gives you every reason to go out or you receive a message that says go and fast and your flesh gives you every reason not to fast so it's the conflict that is there between the flesh and the spirit so when does the conflict between your flesh and the spirit everything was fine before because you don't really fight against yourself because you are one right you don't fight against your mind and be like oh no unless maybe you're trying to choose between mcdonald's and burger king maybe that's the only time there's conflict in the flesh i don't know but mostly you don't fight against yourself in the flesh because your flesh just wants what it wants and your mind agrees with that you go with the flow but once there is that conflict and you're finding yourself debating in yourself just know that god just spoke to you you need to retrace your steps quickly and find out what did god just say to me that is bringing this spiritual conflict so look out for the spiritual conflict whenever god speaks it is there it's constantly there even to the most gifted of people and people who have already mastered hearing the voice of god that the conflict is always there it will never go away all right point number four what you need to look out for is the repetition look out for the repetition usually in the early days when god speaks to you and i um god will constantly repeat what he has said so that we can actually fulfill that word or be in obedience so what i have to look out for is the repetition so a word can be spoken but i may not be sure that it's god then i may log into my facebook account and see a similar word posted by somebody else or i might be driving and i might get a similar inspiration from a billboard or somebody else might be preaching and mention some of the things that i heard or saw so basically what i'm looking for i'm looking for the repetition god busy revealing the same word constantly time and time again you know there's a there's a message that says that when god repeats something it means we didn't listen to it the first time and that that's what it is we repeat things because we never heard it the first time maybe you you speak to somebody again because they never heard it the first time so god can speak a similar thing time and time again until we can be able to grasp it so i look out for the repetition am i getting a similar experience a similar word a similar dream all the time so you look out for the repetition that's how you can know also that god is actually speaking to you or god wants you to focus on this particular thing in this particular season so you look out for the repetition and number five what you need to look out for you need to look out for the conviction right when the holy spirit comes he will convict he does not condemn he convicts so whenever there's that conviction whenever there's that urge to change that urge to repent that urge to stay away from sin just know that it is the holy spirit it is god speaking to you it's a message it's still part of you know truth so but conviction is very important remember the holy spirit or god will never condemn you he will never condemn you he will never judge you but he brings conviction so when the word is spoken it pierces your heart touches your heart it brings you to a place of repentance humility before god so you have to look out for the conviction is the holy spirit convicting me when the word comes it can convict you remember it's not condemnation it's conviction glory be to god so look out for these things because this is very important um that you you take time to understand that when the holy spirit speaks or when god speaks to me there are some certain shifts that take place and your body has to get used to that you never used to be spiritual before so now learning to understand and hear his voice it takes time it's not overnight i don't want to lie to you it's not overnight it's a period of learning and learning and learning time and time again growing growing growing growing growing yes you will make the mistakes and that's fine that's why it always helps to have somebody who can mentor you especially in your work with god that's why we all need a man or a woman of god that to help us in our journey yes there's gonna come a time where you take the journey on your own but still you do need people that are going to mentor you walk with you in the spiritual journey because we learn from each other as we go forward glory be to god point number six like i said i'm going to give you now seven instead of five point number six look out for the words that are coming to pass right god can give you an inspiration let's say god gives you a thought let's say it's a thought but that thought comes to pass so it means what i need to do i need to go back i must not just say many people average people just say oh i thought of this and it came to pass that's how average thinkers think i thought of this it came to pass no we shouldn't think like that i should think about okay before this thought came what was i doing [Music] what was i thinking about before this thought came what was what was i doing what did i do afterwards what inspired this thought you know so i can try and first back like how did i get to that point of thinking about this thing which was actually what was leading me to point number seven um which is look for the change of thoughts right because when god speaks you know very powerful says my ways are not like your ways and my thoughts are not like your thoughts so god can speak to you through thoughts but by imparting his thoughts to you so i have to look for the change of the thought but you it's something that most people don't pay attention to and maybe right now i'm challenging you as well because maybe you've never had a reason to challenge your thoughts or to evaluate your thoughts because it's like some people they think and act at the same time but you know when you challenge your thoughts when you evaluate your thoughts when you think about your thoughts it can actually be able to trace you back to the moment god actually spoke to you and you can be able to see maybe a trend because there's always a trend of how god speaks to you so you can be able to identify that trend that oh god spoke to me after i came out of prayer in this manner and then this thing came to pass after three days oh god spoke to me when i was reading the bible in this manner or god spoke to me when i decided to put my phone off for two hours so you look for the things that you were doing prior to receiving that thought or word and you look at what you were doing after that because there's always that trend then you can identify that oh so at this moment in time god speaks to me if i'm doing something like this then what do you do you go and do exactly that so that you can continue with the trend of constantly speaking to god or hearing from god so that even so then you develop from that right it's not like i'm just gonna now stay in one level no because there's always an entry level into hearing god the entry level can be dreams the entry level can be visions the entry level can be through another profit the entry level can be through feelings you know it it can be different entry levels for different people but you're not supposed to stay there so if you've been in one place if you're still in the place which you were in the first time you started having these divine messages and inspirations from god and it's been two years three years or whatever and you're still there it means you have not grown spiritually and that's why you are no longer hearing the voice or hearing or seeing the way you saw or feeling what you felt in the beginning why because that is outdated now god is a progressive god doesn't stay in one dimension same thing with your tongues your tongues don't remain the same your tongues are supposed to progress they're constantly supposed to be changing as a sign of new dimensions same thing with the way i used to hear god in the beginning when i started hearing god is not the same way that i am hearing god right now because there's been that progression we are going forward same reason why we don't sing the same songs in church same reason why we don't have the same cameras that we used in 1960 same reason why we don't have the same deco from the year 2000 right because if we are progressing in church with how the church looks how fashion looks how we look you know how the cars look how the houses look then why should we think god is just remaining the same in how he decides to speak years ago nobody would have thought that god would be speaking through facebook but now he is god is speaking through so many other things that many people in the olden days felt god could never speak through but he's doing it because god is a progressive god glory be to jesus so i want you to look out for these seven signs that god is actually speaking to you if you have any questions please drop them on the comment your unique way because god does not speak to us in the same way right there is his unique way that he uses to speak to you and that's why we are here to help you so that you can grow so pay attention experienced animals talking to you it could be another sign it's possible maybe you are experiencing flashes of things you have flashes i know it happens a lot of times where you'll just be looking at a number and it's flashing or you're looking at a color and it starts flashing it's it's ways that god can be actually using to speak to you right or you're just noticing the same number i know there are a couple of people that notice you know the same number all the time one one one two two two or double two double two or double three double three or triple three or triple seven the whole time constantly every day or you have a specific time whenever you look at your watch you look at your watch always at the same time these are ways that god is speaking to you all we gotta do is pay
