church will you join me in welcoming the whole planet earth to big time burleson texas y'all this is the open door experience boom awesome well hello friends i call you guys blessed in the mighty name of king jesus welcome welcome welcome on this sunday as we are going through the book of revelation today everybody go ooh oh look i know that people don't like the book of revelation anymore because it doesn't make them feel good and the reason why it doesn't make them feel good is because they don't know the right way to think about it whenever i first started looking at the book of revelation i want to tell you i look in there and there's all kinds of scary stuff and craziness in the third of the world dying here and a third of the world dying there what in the wide wide world of sports is happening and then i began to look at it not just through the lens of the coming of the messiah but i begin to look at it through the lens of the majesty of king jesus and once i saw that i saw what it looks like whenever jesus shows up to redeem his people and to make his people look like the beautiful bride that he has promised us we would actually look like and what it looks like when he shows up to deal with the enemies of us and his kingdom as the king i'm like okay that's a whole different animal altogether so about six months ago or so i was talking to my good friend jamie galloway and he and i was discussing this like you know man how can how in the world can we say that we are prophetic people if we're not biblically prophetic and one of the one of the things that i found is that within our prophetic communities throughout the united states you start opening up the bible you start going through eschatology you start doing this and it was like you know somebody dropped a box of rats in the room we're like hey man this is the word of god oh no no there's just there's just too much controversy there's just too much trouble we don't want to get engaged in that like you don't say that about sex you don't say that about money you don't say that about 10 million other things but because it's the bible you think that you can have a lazy theology and you can't friends we had to have an active kind of faith an active kind of faith we had to be pursuers we have to be seekers guys listen and we cannot be afraid and if if we think that there's any other answer than jesus showing up we have been deceived jesus is the answer now it's funny that jesus is the answer and guys we know that but did you know that there's actually questions in the book of revelation and my good friend has actually discovered seven questions where jesus answers in the book of revelation now if you missed the first part don't think that you're not going to be able to understand this second part because he's going to take you through it guys i'd like to introduce my very good friend all the way from big time nashville tennessee brother jamie galloway is in the house boom [Applause] awesome good morning how's everybody doing it's good to be here again in texas i brought my beautiful bride suzanne's over there she's hiding out in the corner and so uh i really am excited we're gonna do session two this is part two of the seven questions of revelation if you're like me you've fumbled through the book of revelation sort of uh like trying to find directions in a foreign country it's it's it's it's a very difficult text but it is an intriguing text and uh some of us were more conspiracy based than others others were more practical and so we look at all of the these different uh you know terminology everything from a certain lens but i'm gonna i'm gonna introduce to you some some questions today that are posed in the book of revelation and we've already gone through the first four and i will repeat those for you if you were not here and then we're going to go into the remaining three because these are a big deal now the book of revelation is a uh is a book i've been fascinated with it since i was since i came to jesus anybody else you're just so fascinated with the book of revelation you have no idea what it means and then you you know you you try to figure it out and uh the end times in general have become more of a of a normal thing to talk about people are aware people are trying to understand the riddle the enigma of the end times are we in the end times when is the end times well the end times have already begun and they began on the day of pentecost and and uh they're defined by two events the outpouring of the spirit and then uh at at the beginning and then at the end the blood moon as well as the sun turning black and jesus coming on the scene and so uh sort of they're they're what's called the bookends of the church and so we're in sort of the latter part of all of that and i really believe that with all my heart and um but there are some things that have to happen yet but we're on we're everything we see right now is being prepared for that moment is being prepared and it and it's not all going to hit it once but it's going to feel like it all hit at once and it just kind of crept up on us but we're here and we have an opportunity to love people to share the gospel with them to bring as many people to jesus to change the world and our job is not to to get out of here that's not our job our job is actually to take over and jesus comes back to set up a kingdom on earth and we're going to be a part of that and so whatever job you've had here you're going to have that and better and so he was faithful a little we'll be a ruler of much and so there's there's a coming kingdom that is going to be completely different than anything we know that this world has to offer and when we think about this world what is this world like you know it says no one should love the world because if you love the world the love of the father is not in you what is it the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life there is the world system is corrupt it is a corrupt world system and i'm not talking about i don't love going to the grand canyon or you shouldn't love time on the beach that's not loving the world that's loving god's creation but to love the system of the world that exploits the weak it capitalizes on weakness it it it enslaves people to debt all of those things are going to be done away with at the return of jesus and and so when jesus returns there's going to be no sick among us there's going to be no there's going to be no poverty there's going to be no you know the different your education where you went to college that stuff's not going to matter that's not no matter is here and it matters for a reason but it's not going to matter like it's going to like we're going to experience there's going to be different things that matter to us different priorities and he is going to be the one that sits on the throne jesus so so i'm gonna i'm gonna go through this and um and i'm gonna try to delicately handle the seven questions that i have found in the book of revelation and uh the first four are very interesting there's four that set the tone and and they're all kind of set the pace before the sort of uh end of the end times there's there's a beginning of the end time and then there's the end of the end times and the end of the end times are going to be much more difficult and and so you have to be ready it says number one the first question who is worthy who is worthy to open up the scroll to loose the seals that's the first question we know that jesus is worthy and what is the scroll it's the title deed to earth but it's also the the the penalty the debt that earth has accrued for all our sin all our madness all our craziness towards each other and jesus has paid it all so is who is worthy jesus the second question how long oh lord when when when is this all going to wrap up is it going to happen tomorrow is it going to how long and he answers the question about the martyrs until all the martyrs have come in until all those who would be faithful and their martyrdom all of their testimony for jesus would be complete the third question is who is able to stand at the day of the lord who is able to stand at the day of his wrath because there's a day coming where it's called the day of the lord now many of us we know the end times from certain uh books uh teaching series fictional books and when the disciples asked jesus what is the sign of your coming and of the end of the age they had never read the left behind series that was not in their brain they were not thinking left behind nikolai carpathia they had no id so they did not that was not their right frame of reference what they were looking for was what was called the day of the lord the day of the lord and so the day of the lord is a is a series of events it's not one 24-hour period it's a certain time it's a season where jesus begins to be seen by all mankind and then he comes back and he takes over he takes over now when we see him we will be like him for we shall see him like he is we're going to be transformed and the resurrection is going to happen and there's multiple resurrections in the scripture there's not just the first resurrection i don't believe is one event revelation talks about the first revelat the first resurrection this is the first resurrection but i believe it is a class distinction of people who have been become a part of that class that are spared from the second death they will not be a part of the second death they are part of the first resurrection they are class distinction and we know that when jesus died on the cross it says the many graves were open and saints of all walked the streets of jerusalem they were perhaps part of the first resurrection and so the first resurrection has been happening since the day of jesus death since his crucifixion and can you imagine you're in jerusalem just eating your hummus you know you got your your pita your chips and hummus and you're just like who what is that moses you know like all of a sudden all these saints of old are walking the city streets of jerusalem and and you know all throughout the scripture you find them asking to be buried in jerusalem they want to be buried there and so they would make specific mention bury my bones there travel and bury me there because they wanted to be a part of the first resurrection but they wanted to be the first of the first resurrection and so they saw far off and so this third question who is able to stand at the day of the lord and that is found in revelation 6 12-17 and then the fourth question who are these arrayed in white robes this is the fourth question that is asked and each of these questions are asked through the the narrative of revelation and they're not just asked by angels or asked by john they're asked by by the others elders uh the nations people are are asking this who is able to stand in the day of the lord this is what the nations cry out when they have an open eye vision of jesus all over the world but this last question who are these arrayed in white robes these are the ones revelation 19 verse 14 says in the armies of heaven clothed in fine line and white and clean followed him on white horses these are the ones that are going to come back with jesus in the clouds you and i part of that resurrection and will be caught up to be with the lord but then we will come back with him riding on the horses and following him it's the armies of heaven dressed in fine linen white and clean the fifth question these this the series of questions that follow this are all about the end of this age the end of what we know as the world and it's not the end of the earth it's the end of the world and so we have to understand that it's a difference and so this world system known as babylon is going to be done with it's going to be over and over and babylon is not just a place it's a spiritual thing and so it is a is a spiritual empire that that rome would be considered babylon even though it wasn't babylon it was rome rome would be considered babylon and so we see this in revelation that there is an an end-time uh sort of uh uh government that will arise and it will be under the leadership of an individual who is the counter to jesus he is the anti-christ and when revelation mentions him he's not there they're painting the imagery of the antichrist john's telling this vision that he's having not only is he relaying what he's saying but he's also trying to tell us a story he's trying to give us some insight because as bad as this dude will be jesus is going to completely annihilate him and so we are right now experiencing an anti-christ war it's a war against the church but it's a war against the saints but more importantly it is a war against the jewish nation and we have to understand that when the antichrist emerges he's not his goal is not going to be stopping home groups his goal is going to be killing jews okay so we we've christianized this and we made it but those that support the jewish nation those that support israel the christians we we we will deal with him as well and so uh but he will he will be against this the the elect of god and so we have to understand this that he's going to rise up and he's going to as scripture says in in from paul ii thessalonians that he will go into the temple and proclaim himself to be god but revelation does something it's tell it always shows a contrast between the the antichrist and the risen christ it shows a contrast in the beginning of revelation there's a writer on the white horse and he goes out conquering the conqueror and there's a bow in his arm he's carrying a bow this is the antichrist but at the end of revelation there's another writer on the white horse is jesus and a sword comes out of his mouth he's not carrying a bow he's carrying a sword and his robe is dipped in blood and he's already been at war he's already been in the battle and so we see there's a contrast but this is the question that is asked in revelation 13 starting off at verse 1. then i stood on the sea then i stood on the sand of the sea and i saw a beast rising up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and on his horns ten crowns and on his heads a blasphemous name now the beast which i saw was like a leopard his feet were like a feet of a bear in his mouth like the mouth of a lion the dragon gave him his powers thrown in great authority and i saw one of his heads as if it would have been mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed and all the world marveled and followed the beast so they worshiped the dragon who gave the authority of the beast they worshipped the beast saying who is like the beast and who is able to make war with him this is the question this is the fifth question in the book of revelation who is like the beast and who is able to make war with him we see that he's like an antichrist because he he has some kind of death experience but is resurrected is some kind of either it's a it is definitely a false sign and wonder either it's a real resurrection or it's a fake resurrection but it will be known to everyone as he's been resurrected he was mortally wounded but he's resurrected he's come back and so the beast and the way that the beasts talk the way that the beast is spoken about in revelation is the one who was is not and will be the one who was is not and will be but we know that jesus is the one who is who was who is and is to come he always is and so this beast coming up out of the sea and they asked this question who is like the beast and who is able to make war with him well here's who who is able to make war it says in revelation 19 verse 11 now i saw heaven open and behold a white horse and he who sat on him was called faithful and true and in righteousness he judges and makes war his eyes were like a flame of fire and on his head were many crowns he had a name written on that no one knew except himself he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood and his name is called the word of god the word of god look what it says in revelation 19 19 on through 21 it says this and i saw the beast the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse and against his armies then the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence by which he deceived those who who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image these two were cast alive in the lake of fire burning with brimstone and the rest were killed with a sword which proceeded from the mouth him who sat on the horse and all the birds were filled with their flesh it's a wild story because we know it ends with them and and jesus literally destroys them he destroys them and he just and and it specifically mentions those who take the mark it's a it's a fascinating subject those who take the mark and i believe it will be a physical mark i i don't believe it will not be if it would imagine right now there's proposals for vaccine passports vaccine passports thank god certain states are standing up and saying we're not going to tolerate a vaccine passport now i'm not against vaccines but i'm against vaccine passports okay i'm against vaccine passports where you can't buy or sell unless you have a vaccine you can't go in i'm not against vaccines i've had vaccines i'm not against them but i am against the man mandatory law that says everyone either you do it or you do if you don't you have to pay more or you have to pay a tax or you have to pay a fee or you have this is what's happening in the world right now there i just heard of a concert the other day that i don't want to go to that concert now but i never did i i don't even know who they are but they were charging 999 dollars for people who are unvaccinated and 18 for vaccinated people we'll see how that one goes so you go there's no way this could happen there's no way but yet we're in a society that is so willing to hand over freedoms to feel safe you have to hand over freedoms and and and and people are scared scared out of the mind so this is going to be a time we think that that this future scenario is going to be like a time of peace and absolute growth and it's going to just look like paradise no it's going to be really gnarly and it's going to force people to give up freedoms in order to survive but we know that jesus protects he keeps us he provides for us listen it's not about how much food you got in your basement it it will be about how much god you got in your heart and i'm all about get food in your basement but there is going to be a time where you you can't defend that you can only trust the lord to fill your cup come on so who is like the beast but jesus he overcomes him he overcomes him the the sixth question that is asked in the book of revelation is why did you marvel this is asked to john when he marvels over the woman and she's the harlot pictured riding on the sea and she's supported by the beast and the harlot is the picture of the the governing city the the system the babylonian system that will govern the entire world and seek to govern the entire world but what is interesting and fascinating about this it says this in revelation 17 verse 7 this is when the question is asked but the angel said to me why did you marvel i will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her which has the seven heads and the ten horns in revelation 17 12 through 14 it says this the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who receive no kingdom as yet but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast that's a fascinating thing just to say right there because they receive authority for one hour one hour one hour i can't remember who who who said this it was uh an artist uh what's his name he said in the future everyone will have 15 minutes of fame andy warhol yes yeah terrible advice but uh that everyone will have their 15 minutes but now they're looking for their one hour and that's all they get but it's it's contrasting the rule and reign of christ that we will be resurrected and reign with him forever not just one hour but forever come on are you looking forward to that now here's the thing right now in this world we have the ability to do something we have the ability to do something okay jesus is coming back for busy people come on jesus is coming back for a busy bride a bride who has made herself ready and her work show he is not coming back for a lazy you know slouching bride who's been eating cheetos on the couch and saying come jesus aren't you ready he ain't looking for that he is coming back for a bride that is is got her hands to the plow she's working the field she's building business come on she's doing church she's feeding the poor she's she's rescuing those who are victimized getting those who are homeless homes that's what he's coming back for come on and so we can't just sit back and try to calculate the day or the hour that will not do us any any because we can speed up the time no one knows the day of the hour because i believe it's up a lot of it is up to us a lot of it is up to us he's waiting on us to speed up the time second peter he tells us this he says we hasten the day of the lord so we're hastening we're quickening his coming by the preaching of the gospel by the message of of jesus going out in the message of the kingdom so this why did you marvel it says this these are of one mine and they will give their power and authority of the beasts these will make war with the lamb and the lamb will overcome them for he is lord of lords and king of kings and those who are with him are called chosen and faithful come on this this harlot that he marvels at he says in revelation 17 15-18 he said to me the waters which you saw where the harlot sits are peoples multitudes nations and tongues and the ten horns which you saw on the beast these will hate the harlot make her desolate and they could eat her flesh and burn it with fire for god has put it into their hearts to fulfill his purpose to be of one mind and to give their kingdom to the beasts until the words of god are fulfilled and the woman which you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth there's an economical system that that literally reigns over every single thing and jesus is going to come back and break it he's going to break the bank and so he's going to take over and and i'm telling you it's going we're going to watch it we're going to watch it take place so while he asks why did you marvel why did you marvel the nations are asking this question at the fall of babylon this is the last final question seventh question in the book of revelation what is like this great city this is the babylonian system this is the either revived babylon of some kind but it is it is a place an epicenter of commerce trade all of these things going on there but deep underneath it keeps dark secrets people victimized i go to foreign nations in the middle east and while looks posh and luxurious and there's gold and opulence everywhere the dark hidden secret of their entire culture is that there are what they call expats expatriates who have been taken out of their nations and brought to their those lands and literally forced into slave labor and so you don't see them because they they're unnoticed you're while everybody is walking around gaga about the size of the towers and the and the opulence and the gold and all the cars and everything like that there's an entire people group that are being used and abused and jesus hears their cry he hears their cry and so what what are we doing about that well right now until king jesus comes back we're doing everything we can come on we're bringing boys and girls out of human trafficking we're we're rescuing people out of darkness we're feeding the poor we're clothing those who are naked we're doing everything we can and when jesus comes back listen i believe when he comes back he's looking for a seamless transition he wants to come back and say i'll take over from here you know good job way to go i got this now watch this [Applause] and so what does it contrast this great city revelation 18 17-20 for in one hour such great riches came to nothing every shipmaster all who travel by ship sailors and as many as trade on the sea stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke over burning saying what is like this great city they threw the dust on their heads and cried a weeping wailing saying last last that great city in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by our wealth for in one hour she is made desolate rejoice over her o heaven and you holy apostles of prophets for god has avenged you on her what is this contrasted with this great city john sees in revelation 21 a city coming down out of heaven it's the new jerusalem it's the new jerusalem and he says this of the new jerusalem in revelation 21 22-27 but i saw no temple in it for the lord god almighty and the lamb are its temple the city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it for the glory of god illuminated it the lamb is its light and the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it its gate shall not be shut at all by day there shall be no night there and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it but there shall be by no means enter it anything that defiles or causes an abomination or a lie but only those who are written in the lamb's book of life now i want to i want to share this with you because i really believe that jesus is coming right now one one of the uh eschatological promises we're looking for is for israel to be saved israel to see jesus for who he is and there's gonna be a day where they're they're gonna say he is the messiah there's gonna be a day where they're gonna go yeah he is the messiah and it's going to be for the world riches is what the gospel says it's for the world to be riches when they recognize that jesus messiah and he's going to come and fight for her he's going to come and fight for her it says about the beast that he has seven heads and ten horns reminds me of haman haman who is opposing esther he had 10 leaders that were of his that were his sons that were with him and they were all hung in the gallows together and haman modern haman perhaps is in some small way is hamas you know we have this terrorist organization that's threatening day and night and it's that haman spirit and god is looking for a people who would stand up and say no more no more now this isn't about palestinians versus israel this is a this is about this terrorist group called hamas we could love the palestinians in jesus name but god wants something and we know that for every nation it will be riches when the when the when jews come to meet jesus come on so he's going to come and fight for her last thing i want to share with you at habitat 3 i want to show you this because this is something so cool when how many are fans of the avengers you love the avengers anybody love the avengers i love the avengers i'm a big fan of marvel comics and the avengers okay uh yeah i'm a geek out right now for a second because the first scripture says that the lord is an avenger [Applause] the lord is of now look at this habitat 3 tells us this moment where jesus fights for the jews and he comes back and he come he reclaims the earth and it says this in habitat 3 starting off with verse 3 god came from taemin the holy one from mount peran his glory covered the heavens and the earth was full of his praise his brightness was like the light he had rays flashing from his hand and there his power was hidden before him when pestilence and fever followed at his feet he stood and measured the earth he looked and startled the nations and the everlasting mountains were scattered the perpetual hills bowed his ways are everlasting there's going to be a moment where we see jesus and he's going to be literally walking through this valley defending his people out of his hands are going to shoot rays it's something we've never seen before it's something we've never seen before and i believe we're coming into that time now what can we do right now what can we do second peter he says god is not slack concerning his promise for a day to the lord is a thousand years a thousand years is as one day why is he why is he waiting why the delay how long oh lord what's going on he wants the fullness of the nations to be his there's people in texas waiting to hear the gospel waiting and it might be because you give them some bread it might be because you pray for them and they were healed and then all of a sudden that opportunity opens up come on i want to see that our whole goal is to depopulate hell come on [Applause] and populate heaven how many agree this is that day come on give god a shout of praise come on pastor troy brewer we've been doing this revelation for six months and i want to encourage you six is it six months six months i want to encourage you to rewatch those and uh i've learned so much from this guy about the about the end times and about eschatology and it was stuff that i was afraid to even talk about because nobody want to talk about it but this guy i'm telling you you guys are blessed so i've had fun this sport this morning with you i'm looking forward to session three i hope you're ready for that and listen i want to ask you about a stand up if you would before we everybody starts vamping out of here can we just can we just believe god can we just ask god for a grace and an anointing to not be afraid of anything in the future right on to actually believe and to long for the return of king jesus in a way that says look i don't i don't you know guys there might be some of this stuff that you don't understand there's i promise you i go through the book of revelation constantly and there's still stuff i don't understand but this is what i do get jesus christ is showing up for me and with me that's what i get and i get that whatever the problem is it's not jesus he is my hope i refuse to entertain any kind of thought whatsoever that doesn't put jesus as my hope i know man it's just all about jesus i love me some jesus [Music] guys i want to pray for everybody here for just a minute holy spirit you are so welcome here and lord god almighty sir we pray god that you would open up the scriptures to us that lord whenever we look at these things then what we would see is your heart and your majesty and your love for us lord god father god sir we repent of running away from these kinds of things and lord god i pray god that you would lead us here a little their little line up online preset upon precept from faith to faith all those things take us lord god from one place to another to another i pray lord god of mighty sir that you give us a grace to be able to see and understand the things that are taking place upon this earth i pray god that we would know your timing i pray god that our heart would be prophetically aligned with your heart lord god i pray god that we would be involved in the right things and not involved in the wrong things anything god that we're involved in that is a waste of our time i pray lord jesus that you would give us a grace to be aware of that and a grace god to walk away from it anything lord jesus sir that we're not taken care of that we're not engaged in completely and totally devoted towards those things lord god almighty sir we repent we repent and i pray lord jesus that you would give us a grace and an anointing to go no i need to put my hand towards this i need to set my face like a flint towards jerusalem i just need to get a little bit hard-headed and say no i will lean into that whatever that is so let the spirit of the living god move upon every single one of us in a way god that you cannot be ignored you cannot be denied i pray lord jesus sir that you touch every single heart i pray god for healing lord god i pray lord jesus serve for supernatural sanity lord jesus emotional health emotional iq god-given ability of discernment and to say no i know what this is and no i know what that is and god we declare sir that by your grace we will not be deceived
