7 Days To Die Alpha 19 | Base Day One | Ep 1

[Music] hey gamers it is good to be back we're finally enough of nineteen here we are an experimental version on Friday for this dreamer weekend so we are jumping right in here holy crap it is good to go now I did have to do some video adjustments I turned Sun shafts off and my framerate is perfect so the this version of seven days to die seems so far to actually be running better than alpha 18 aside from the Sun shaft thing once I throw that on the might frame rates just drop and we are doing this on all default except for hard night we're gonna do that 32 times for the zombies so let's do this here I have to go ahead and do our basic quest line of course I don't want to leave the starting area that way we can get through all our quest line easily so let me pop a few things through here and we will move on it looks like there's a head or a house right ahead of us [Applause] okay there we go we got through all the basics and I didn't even have far to go we never left the starting area which is real cool so now we can actually move on to the settlement stuff and this time around what happens as you upgrade through the quest you get from the traders you get a Moo crust to move on to the next trader and then that trader gives you a better tea request as well so it kind of moves up through the tiers like that so you can find all the different traders certain traders do certain things so that's gonna be real interesting to see this time there we go so let's hit the continue button get that out of our way and we are armed and good to go we have some stuff here our basic needs we have our wooden Club I'm loving these new textures by the way check out that Club check out that stone hammer - that's er the stone axe that is so so much better so we're gonna go ahead and repair that there we go take a look at our inventory we got some basics together really not too much let's go ahead and make some more arrows here I gotta keep an eye out 100% for some more nest here right off the bat so there we go oh wow that's that new sprite so apparently you can't turn this off but there is an xml mod that you can do so if I get the time I'm gonna go ahead and make an XML mod for this to turn off so people that don't want this on can choose it or if someone else beats me to it I'll showcase it for them and put the link to go and get it but anyway I'm gonna leave it on just because this is vanilla and I want to showcase the vanilla for you guys we're not gonna go I think to that place right away we still have some time it's only ten o'clock a.m. there looks like there's probably a small house yes there's a small little house over here we should go and do a loot right away by the way I am noticing to some improvements in the landscaping I'm really liking how this is laid out look at that more arrows perfect I'm also gonna go ahead and grab this nest to help I had this debate with someone that nest don't respawn but I'm kind of thinking they do because I've been keeping an eye oh is that a thing guys let me know down in the comments if nest actually do respawn themselves because I never used to take the mode especially around my house so that way I can reroute them again but here we go we have our first loop right here let's go ahead and give her I'm thinking I'm seeing a city over that way some way to like over this way probably actually over where that sprite is but this is probably where we're gonna be settling for bays day one because that's the purpose of this playthrough we're gonna settle in the first night in our own base and we're gonna give her a go now this door is already damaged I don't think I did that oh well let's go and see what's up in this house here hopefully it's not too many sleepers because we're late game stage one here oh damn look at that I think that trying to trap is right off the bat now I don't recognize his py I'm thinking this is a newer one oh look at those chairs a graphics just whoa Jesus good thing there's no basement to this place I'd be screwed already but this looks like a nice and easy smashing ground I'm liking this a new lighting looks so much better - oh nice we got pot right away that's always good to have let's search up these sinks here sweet all stuff we can sell that trader that brass will sell right well right away okay well we got that kit damn it this house is full of these are so easy to hide now especially with like the new painting and stuff before is a little obvious which which floor blocks collapse but they're really getting good at hiding those now I wonder if we're gonna see our first zombie up in here oh we are and she's still sleeping nice let's get it right in the head here oh there she goes she still has the era when I do nice we can actually get that back whoa oh I don't want to get her involved so oh damn she has some reach on her okay well let's get that arrow back ooh that hurt try not to get hit that's the whole point now okay so we got a fancy jacket going on with some red dye let's go ahead and does red dye on Pinilla cell I completely forget let's go ahead and wear that because that gives us some cold and heat resistant be useful no sale price that's right I'm still in and modded mine here I gotta get used to vanilla again but this is looking absolutely wonderful let's give these cupboards a quick loot here okay nothing up in those looks like these doors actually come damaged because they open unlocked nice okay well looks like we got the bottom floor let's go ahead and explore the upstairs these wooden chairs should grab them and scrap them there we go okay first bedroom here everything's still quiet not to many sleepers and that's good I don't think you should get a lot of sleepers right away it's really hard to loot like that so I'm rather enjoying this new lighting is nice too like how it brightens and it lowers it's actually rather nice okay so we got a washer and stuff behind here I love this starting stage where everything is brand new everything is just so useful and I don't want to follow through there okay so we got an unlocked door here looks like we're good we got some bookcases some nightstands damnit ah okay let's try that again oh it sounds like I've attracted a zombie I don't know where it came from I can hear it is it outside nah was a sleeper that's okay though let's go back upstairs here and see what's going on where is it sounds like it might be over there oh there she is oh look at that rainin dogs yeah three hits and she's down nice okay I'm hitting the F button like I have a headlamp already that's a big struggle to day one or like the first week is trying to find your headlamp so that you see while you loot anyway we probably shouldn't have to turn up the gamma anymore either as content creators so I can keep my dark game and enjoy it and you guys should be able to see as well so that'll be nice that's one thing I used to hate having to do was turn up the gamma I used to be like a little gamma battle okay well it looks like this room is empty this is a nice little smash and grab I like this place bookcases no luck they're always searched these trash bins do thee sometimes have very useful things in them okay well this place is kind of junk can we get on the roof from here doesn't look like it okay I'm gonna search a bathroom here but I think we got this entire place I appreciate these little small smash-and-grabs I do believe it was alpha 17 when they added a lot of new POS and dungeons and stuff and just like over get them and there wasn't any small places to loot and it was really hard to Breda at the beginning nice look at that we got a wrench already raw overburden but we got a wrench at least it's uh where's some of these things here okay good to go there we go we got our first loot doesn't it was actually rather nice and easy there we are let's go ahead and make our way to the trader then it's about 575 meters away I'm gonna keep an eye out and loot myself some nest and anything else I might see along the way oh wow look this it looks like we have ourselves a city here and oh my god there he is a deer just over yonder I'm gonna see if I can't pick off that deer we have a few arrows so we might be able to getting meat day one is pretty sick ah there we go sneak damage 3.5% on that deer and I think I've seen its head blow off nice look at this we already have a bone night Freddie for that too okay so you should we should start seeing some zombies pretty soon too I wandered a good distance from the starting area so look at this we're literally outside of a city so this looks like a great place to actually settle down and call home so I'm gonna be looking for a nice flat area which actually looks like it's over there we got a city for the loots over here which is fantastic and a trader nice and close now that's key last base day one we actually didn't have a trader nearby so I think this will actually help us out a lot Oh sick look at that we're finally starting to see our first first zombie popping up in the world here that one right over there and we're getting closer and closer but do we have one of those new peel wise ooh I think we do I don't think I've seen this peel why right here let's check this out if I've seen it before there's gonna be disappointing but yeah look at that new P oh is that's always exciting what do we got here wow this place is huge oh is this a Navis game what is this I don't think I've ever seen this in vanilla before is this newer is this from Navis gain it's been so long since I've actually been through navigating ah there's our trailer right there oh this is a sick area we got an apartment building right there all sweet good basic stuff we can go we can hit up that right away we got this Navis gain high school I almost want to say this is newer because it has buses and stuff on it I don't ever remember seeing this even in Navis game oh yeah look at that it has arched windows yeah this is brand-new look at all the things oh this is exciting I'm getting pumped already oh yeah this is a sick area for Bay State one right around here okay that's uh let's get to this trader and see what he has oh that's a high school that's so cool here we go we're at the trader we have a chem good chem station Oh destroyed workbench damn it I was hoping how it's open we got a slightly better stone axe oh the deal I'll take that destroyed some my mixer not too disappointing because I don't need that quite yet and we have a forge oh it's destroyed damn that would have been cool right away - okay let's go up and talk to the trader here this is a Joel okay so you can always loot the bookcase here in behind Joel - oh what do we have a polymer string we're going to use that and we have the art of mining volume five sick this is what I'm gonna concentrate on right away as miners 69er and all that speaking at our base going literally base day one we have to go out and get some wood real fast here's our real soon here do all that mine is slowing you down craft basic resources like aura stone and wood and more compact stacks that are easier to carry nice okay well that was a sick little fine okay Joel what do you have to say to me oh you know what one thing we're missing guys we are missing the in-game music they changed it you know well we got to definitely turn what's up trader Joel so let's take a look at our map here and see what we got look at that the traders berry trader supplies are right there so let's actually head straight over there and see if that's also a good place to oh look at that it actually looks like it's a perfect place to start base day one I'm excited look at this city even the coloring is just it's it's a lot more vivid than it used to be this is amazing no more washed out seven days to die god I'm loving this oh is that another deer oh let's do this yeah okay dog damn it mob ahead okay I'm getting all excited let's try this again I'm having even screwing up the animation that's so excited I am okay hold my breath missed well it sounds like there's a zombie right behind me - okay stupid zombie let's take care of this guy here and we'll try to get that deer apparently my skills with a pole need a little bit of work okay is he still over there he is sick okay let's try this again we're down to the six zeros this deer is literally pissing me off maybe it's a range that's got to be what it is there we go see I got nice and close I was able to pick it off easily that's got to be my problem okay look at that - deer day one some day one meat okay awesome I'm gonna do this grab that mess behind me and we'll keep moving oh my god check it out guys I went to grab this nuts right here we're actually gonna loot that real quick but they replaced those stupid crawlers you guys know for alphas I've been bitching and whining about those stupid crawlers and look at this they replaced them you got a new one this thing is terrifying come here buddy I'm gonna let it get nice and close because I actually want to see it close up here there we go look at him that is so much better than the old like Steve buddy that used to crawl along oh that is so awesome I love it kind of half hiding in there nice we need more zombies that actually look like zombies - I think all right let's take out this bird's nest and get moving on all these new things Hey look at this a new trash icon that's cool it's a little box I as I saw and I'm like hey what's this this is new oh there's gonna be so much new stuff I watched all the streams and whatnot but actually like witnessing it personally as a whole different thing oh my god is that a desert biome right over there that I saw yes we're right by the desert - oh my god we should actually we should start out in the desert I think on the ground what do you guys think desert oh wow look at this the buried treasure thing the sprite fort oh my god we have to go to the desert and start out where we're going - okay well I'm gonna make myself a shovel here and we'll see if we can't get this this done very quickly because the spray gets smaller and smaller as you dig blocks out so let's check that out okay so I've taken four blocks over here and it does appear that the circles gotten smaller so this is normally what I do i dial down two blocks and it usually exposes the treasure unless they've change that it made it go deeper now but that always used to bring it out so I guess we'll find out after I do this a few times and the circle gets smaller on us oh there we go so I finally took out a block here it made a noise and it said you are getting closer to the treasure so it actually finally shrunk so I'm gonna just continue digging out in the middle here I noticed that the circle itself got smaller so that kind of makes me think like it actually circles in on the middle of it we can't spend too much time here doing this because I do need to get to some wood so we least have a platform or something to chill out on tonight I might even just do the good old classic wooden box again I thinks okay so I'm gonna take out this last one here and did we find it well maybe we found it already I just haven't been looking no definitely didn't find it yet so maybe they added this to a deeper than two blocks now so we ought to come back to that but what I'm gonna do here is we're gonna head on over towards the desert and see if there's a nice flat area over there because it's still close enough to the town and did the trader that I could still run there for a while until we have ourselves a vehicle and then we'll grab ourselves up some wood here okay coming over the crest here it looks like we've actually got ourselves some buildings and stuff over here and there is a burnt or the wasteland biome right over to the right of us over here did I just hear another damn zombie okay let's just get myself armed properly stand still oh never mind that was a side of a hill it just kind of looked like it that would have been sick finding three biomes in one spot oh look there's a rabbit over there they made those things actually bigger so that you can see them and you can definitely see them from a distance okay base day one is happening right over there and hey holy crap look at this there's actual trees in the fart in the desert biome now oh that's crazy okay well I'm gonna go towards the area here I want and then we'll collect the wood from that area and start planting our base down because it's 1900 we actually don't have to long before the zombies start running and I at least want to be able to stand on something and shoot them with some arrows or hit them with a club from above okay here we go this looks like the perfect area over here so I'm going to start slapping myself some wood and these are actual little bush if you're just running along and it's early game just throw some punches at them because it adds up over time the amount of wood you get from them okay so how much wood do we even have on us I should start making my blocks too let's go ahead and make what we have in frames I will show you have 29 that's not even a lot yes okay I got to get to work on this big-time this tree right here let's use this tree I'm gonna say to this animation with the stone axe is much more satisfying than the old one it almost feels like you're going through a quicker I think we are but just the animations faster so it definitely feels like it okay here we go let's take this guy out here don't you be interrupting my day I'm having a good day sir there we go ho look at that stumble I love it sick okay well then more wood we've made 42 more frames and that should be enough frames the rest of this wood here we're gonna collect is gonna be for filling our base here I think - if we just take out the zombies in the local area we should be a-ok yeah like look how nice and flat it is over here I love this this is perfect then we got the hills in the background oh that makes a sick backdrop for us we got tons of ore over here - yeah right around here we're gonna make this oh look at that in the forest is right there damn base day one is happening right here folks you're seeing it Bay a day one literally yes sick ok so I also got to make myself a bedroll here I'm gonna do that ASAP and then place it down so that if I do randomly diabase are on day one I will have to run all the way back it sucks when that happens you find a sweet spot and you're gonna do something stupid got to do the walk of shame all the way back home damn okay there we go bed roll is down and I've claimed my area so I'm going to take a look here take a look around we're looking pretty good for zombies so I can actually go ahead and take this one out before night so we got to be older here we go Oh apparently I missed oh I'm loving the music by the way it's so much better that guitar love it here we go what's up zombie lady what's up girl oh look at that look at those effects I love it the particle effects from the wind so damn cool here we go it's just clever there we go take her out to the club oh crap we got a snake it's right here in an almost snuck up on me where is it did it disappear into the landscape oh no it's right there whoo damn it I missed it oh it looks like the snake is actually tripped out what are you doing snake are you dead Oh sick look how much meat we got on day one looks like I've done this before [Music] alright more wood and we should be able to fill in our walls ears so I'm gonna go find a tree and we will start making [Music] [Music] okay well this looks like a good enough place of any it's a nice well it's not super flat here but it's really nice the landscape feels like it has much more variety too which is pretty cool so we're gonna go one two three or four or five that's a five oops damn it just a five by five base for now of course we're gonna be expanding this but this will be a safe place for me to chill out for that night and not attract myself any attention really and just generally set my stuff down and then of course every day we'll just keep expanding this thing if we gotta get it ready for or denied one we're at 32 times zombies by the way I do have a general idea in mind what I want to do for a basis season so we're gonna start out almost the exact same way we didn't season one but the base is gonna be a little different a little different this time it's gonna be a little more interactive maybe maybe even a little more dangerous especially with the time 32 right off the start all right well we have 144 wood which actually isn't that much but let's start getting this filled in so we're gonna do the most important thing which is two blocks high and on the inside only that it's that way the zombies can't see me right and of course I've put a ladder here one block high so that the zombies are two block size so that the zombies can't get out of it in case they get in here while we're hiding on top okay there we go so that pretty much used up oh we still have 48 we're doing okay so I'm gonna put it down of course another bad roll down here and we will get a campfire going okay and we're officially out of wood so looking around here oh crap we have a zombie right over there and he's gonna get hurt it is nighttime holy crap guys it does not look like night at all like look at that the Sun is going down it's still bright out that is so deceiving dammit and we have one two three four five six Dom bees just chilling around so you know what I'm gonna do we're gonna drop down here and I'm literally just gonna chill the hell out for the night we got to get that bed roll down - here we go I think that'll help with the spawning here for now oh and of course land claim bed rolls down should be okay here for the night so I don't really want to attract too much attention so what we're gonna do is just chill out on a ladder here and we need to take some of the miners 69er right away guys that's what we need to do we have four skill points available we have to do that so as you can see it's locked behind strength levels so let's go to our strength tree here we go so we can get tool nipper we can do quality to poor tools increase tool damage by 10% and block damage by 30 which is actually huge initially unlocks iron tools like pickaxes okay so of course to get the next level we're gonna have to do some strength here and then get Johnny Newcomb you're still a little green but you aren't fetching the muckman blackstrap anymore I craft a quality three fare tool so I can actually make a better axe increase tool damage by 20 and block damage by 60 yes please pick me drop another point in here winces stop okay there we go milk drinker Oh ever out so next time we get a level here we get a point we're gonna invest in muckman so now very fortunately we can actually see our food and water bars there at the bottom this is actually nice little touch I love how they put the XP bar on and then they finally gave in and put it up here those annoying going there character to see cuz like in real life you can actually feel crap I'm hungry in seven days to die you can't so this is just a nice little visual but we definitely have to eat some here and look no dysentery nice let's go ahead and grab up the can of goods okay and we should be able to make some that's right we can't make yucca juice anymore holy crap that's so old-school alright well I guess I can make a campfire and some other basics while we're just chilling on the ladder hidin may as well light the place up - there we go oh look at that look at the lighting this is gorgeous the night sky oh I'm not even kidding you guys right now I'm just I'm getting the chills I know this is like downgraded on YouTube but once you guys are able to see this I hope you feel the same this is this looks fantastic it's so much more ambient I love it the music Wow [Music] may as well leave these cans up - they're just using up room of my inventory now I don't have any wood so I can't make a chess but that's okay because I don't want to be opening stuff because that does attract a local zombies oh you can make yucca juice Wow what was what was I doing there so I clicked on the yucca fruit and recipes and yucca juice came up here and now to make Yaga juice we actually need boiled water I think before you just needed the empty water jar and you would squeeze the juice into the jar right but no apparently you have to combine it so that makes sense but at least we're in the desert we can make a lot of this right away it's not bad stuff [Music] so we're coming up on morning time here I literally spent the whole night cycle just chilling out listening the zombies listening to my home base music so that's music you'll hear once you have your land claim down I believe it's a land claim that actually triggers it but we're coming up to 4 a.m. here this is real exciting I can't wait to get out there's zombies all over the place haven't attracted any attention so we survived night 1 and base day 1 which is pretty damn cool now guys this season here this alpha I actually want to come into this elf a strong and come out stronger now what I've been doing in my personal life is literally challenging myself to do better in everything I do no matter like if it's woodworking my hobbies like fishing fish collecting fish tanks - but I also want to do it on youtube so if you guys could help me out with that this season I think I'm gonna do some some shadow it's not some shadow it's but ask you guys for help basically oh look at that so I'm not 4 a.m. yet but it's pretty bright out already but guys if you could like the video share it sometimes those yield some nice things too now this time around I know the fun pimps changed all the loot works you won't be getting any Opie loot through your early game stages so you just get like basic stuff through I think it's game stages 1 to 11 and then it kind of ramps up from there how the loop works like of course your your stats and that will affect the quality but you won't be getting a pistol on day 1 anymore that's not a thing so the I guess they wanted to make it a little more challenging as far as the RNG goes I don't know we'll see how that feels I haven't even gotten the crepe yet so I can't even judge that system by the way I know someone's gonna mention it here eventually to these little driftwood that are all over the desert are actually a decent little sources wood we got 11 from that and they break apart pretty damn easily ok well let's start digging I have a feeling that this this treasure is deeper than a couple blocks that would be a nice change especially with like this Chiti sprite thing going on oh there we go circle got smaller so let's keep going so I don't think it's dead center on the circle I think it just makes it a little more obvious to where it is did we find that nope just broke way open to the others oh no that's actually where the the border is and we dug out over there okay this is crazy weird I am not used to this at all this is gonna take a while oh we got smaller okay so it's zoned into this little area over here so I'm gonna keep digging over this way now this is a little helpful but I still I'm still unsure if it's actually two blocks deep it might be just this little small area that we missed yeah you know what they did they changed how deep treasure is okay well maybe I don't mind the sprite so much then if it's gonna be buried quite deep oh there it is found it okay so that is actually let's find out how deep that treasure was here we go one two three four there we go Oh a new icon in the bar two four four frames okay so we're on this levels so it is so that's technically four blocks down yeah cuz this counts as a ground block right here okay so that's about four blocks down they did change how deep the treasure is crazy okay well let's give this an airy and open here oh look at all the food stuffs and [Music] oh here we go you guys can hear the battle music you get this every time now you get a challenge oh man I do like the new zombies skins this guy it's much more terrifying we got him down though check our flanks knock him down oh one shot her that was actually quite fun oh there we go just get that sweet sweet XP and that's what I really wanted yeah look at this guy oh man I really wish I remembered the name of these zombies off the top of my head okay Wow look at that we go so we got some foodstuffs - that's actually really handy let's run straight back to the trader then and hand the soon hey what's up Joel I can hear you music as soon as I came into your shop here that's pretty damn karate well okay there we go we can either get vitamins or spear hunter volume two you know what because it's a book I would be stupid not to take it but vitamins are good to this so this cures fatigue and gives you a disease resist damn oh it's such a toss-up okay well go with the book we'll just do some more quest here so what does he have left for jobs he has a berry another buried supplies which isn't too far away I mean those ones are always easy and they give you some decent stuff and I need the I need the dirt anyway cuz we're gonna be making some cobble soon and so let's go with this there we go okay thanks thank you very much Joe let's go ahead and spend that skill point we just got in miner 69er we should be able to pump that up now nice get more stuff okay so tier one buried supplies is actually in town which is awesome so we get to see more sites on the way we're definitely gonna be checking out some more of the PIO eyes but I wanted to start the season out a little different and actually pay some attention to the trader what I actually would like to mention to the trader is literally kind of right inside the city this time I like that change instead of being like on the outskirts why not why not be right inside the city that makes sense okay let's go for a run here ok look at this as buried supply is literally right in between a bunch of buildings so uh this should be rather easy let's go ahead what I'm gonna do then I think what we'll try with this new way of doing treasure is will literally go from the center and just kind of keep digging down this way I can dig down deep and actually be able to get all the whole because I don't want to get stuck yeah to deeps not too bad and you'd usually get out pretty easily but I don't want to push it from there and end up in a hole with a bunch of zombies that's never a fun time the other thing I need to be keeping an eye out to oh look at this we can get some water from right there nice there's also a water tower over here that'll actually be easier I think to get in and out of okay I'm gonna put a marker there we'll do buried supplies and if I remember I'll grab ourselves some water okay so I'm getting thirsty too and do we have anything canna pasta does not give water sham doesn't either that wouldn't make sense salmon wouldn't make sense to sham chowder does this give water it doesn't look like it damn it oh we have two boiled water right on us holy crap I gotta put my glasses on I'm getting old we may as well do up the sham chowder - it gives us +1 fortitude for ten minutes so this is what they changed with the good food now it actually gives you a little bit of a bonus so let's go ahead and use that I also got to try to remember to check out a vending machine - and see what we can get for candy oh there we go see it shrunk and it actually moved over to this area here so it looks like the treasure is gonna be in here so this actually looks like a very valid technique now for finding treasure so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna start cutting over from the side around the bottom here that way I don't have to take down any further oh there we go I found it nice and easy okay so let's get out our weapon here berry food and we got another recipe and some food and some buff stuff here so let's get back what do we have here a whole bunch of the new zombies is a sick there you go sticker oh nice now I'm kind of looking at their textures and I'm thinking they're not set very high I'm gonna go to my options here and see if I can bump up the zombie textures okay whoa oh the crap that was a lucky shot right there yeah they definitely look better now that I bumped them up too high they were on the medium setting oh yeah look at that oh these morning time pretty damn awesome so spent the night upgrading here and making cobbles so we got pretty much the whole base here by day three upgraded to cobble which is good well at least the first day jicama so we're looking pretty damn healthy those quest for digging actually came in really really handy I got a lot of dirt from that so it was like a win-win on that one so we're making great progress here guys but unfortunately I've ran out of time for recording we did this a special one I literally play for two hours I don't want to stop right now I'm not gonna lie to you guys I literally just want to keep going record for like six hours and do a mega episode but unfortunately because I have things to do that's not a reality for me but anyways guys like I said help me out
