what's up guys welcome to the create 208 youtube channel i make youtube videos every week and it's been the process of me building the shop house this week's video i'm just gonna do a walkthrough so the last time i've done a walkthrough is about three months ago so quite a few things have changed and there's still quite a few things to do so if you want to see more videos make sure to hit subscribe we're going to start on the outside on this video so let's jump right into it all right guys so this is a 60 by 40 building we got the single slope roof we got a big two-story patio right here now we got a 12 by 12 garage door and an 18 by 8 garage door you can see we did big windows on this place the view of the valley is this way so you can see that the living's obviously on that side tons of big windows now this big timber frame deck is a big part of the design of this place i designed these floor plans on my ipad using the app quick plan 3d so like i said you can check those out on the website for free if you'd like now you can see that the front yard isn't completely done i still need to work on that this fall in the spring here you can see the landing to one of the dirt bike jumps it basically jumps over the front yard is pretty cool now here you can see the metal take off for it this is about a 55 foot gap now let's move along the house so you can see that i'm missing a few battens on this spot also i still need to get this house painted before this winter i can't find these battens anywhere i might actually have to end up just making my own ripping some down i still need to caulk all these battens the siding the windows and get this painted before we have a bunch of rainstorms and winter storms so i need to work on that now you can see i got this grass this sod for free it was a return ford pallet so it's dead in a few places which isn't a big deal we got some grass seeds planted beneath it so hopefully that comes back this fall or spring and if not we can fix places as we need to now i have a little bit of problem with dirt coming down onto the lawn back here so i'm going to add some boulders or something some kind of a retaining wall to keep that dirt now i think boulders would be a cool touch because i could plant some grass seeds or something like that up on the side of the hill right here that way it'd help with erosion also here you can see the thousand gallon propane tank now let's go back inside the shop and i'll show you guys around in there okay so the inside dimensions of the shop are about 40 by 41 feet so this right here where my truck is parked this is where the two post lift is going to be so this will be kind of like the working bay it'll go about right here once that's done now i've got this uh couch set up in here and this pool table set up in here now later on in the future maybe even this winter i'm going to be building a big bench that starts about right here that goes all the way across this back wall just so i can put stuff on there and storage and stuff like that now at some point there will be a loft built in here the pool table and this couch will be right above where they are right now up on a loft and we'll use the same timbers that we used outside to build that so keep checking back for a video on that now you can see we got the washer and dryer set up out in the shop all the concrete is sloped to these points here and there's another drain underneath the truck so you can rinse off your vehicles in here or anything and everything will run down into the drains so coming over here you can see i got toolbox some more storage stuff over here just a couple shelves i'd like to get all this stuff a little bit more organized so once i build the workbench i'll be able to get containers under there and organize everything that way here you can see we've got hot and cold water over here so in the winter time we'll be able to pull the vehicles in rinse them off with hot water stuff like that now if you're wondering this shop is heated with a big 250 000 btu heater a lot of people have asked why i haven't done radiant floor heating and it's just mainly the cost that that heater up there keeps this place really warm in the winter time there is no ac but we do have this 10 foot ceiling fan up here so this thing is huge video doesn't even do it justice but it keeps it pretty cool in here and if there is really hot days i'll just open up the garage doors throughout the night a little bit and let it cool off like that and since it's been summer i've been working on a lot of outside projects so i still have a few inside things to do like you can see i need to do the stairs here that's probably something that i'll finish up in the winter time now let's go into the downstairs we have one bedroom down here the kitchen a bathroom and also the front room so walking in you walk right into the kitchen area this is an open floor plan so you can see the front room area right here next to it now this is 1200 square feet of living about 1700 square feet of shop it's not too big in here but it's also not too small you can have a few people over and still be comfortable in here and if i have a lot of people over we just hang out out in the shop see we've got a tv up here hit swivel so if you're sitting in the front room you can aim it towards here if you're in the kitchen preparing a mill you can also face it towards there so we got this island that's movable you can move it over for more counter space or whatever you want to do with that stainless steel appliances this oven's actually pretty cool it's got an air fryer built into the bottom of it pretty sweet now over here you can see we have the downstairs bathroom it's a smaller bathroom but it's perfect for down here and for the guest bedroom so you got tile all the way up in the shower the same granite countertops matte black faucets and the same grounded all the way out here i'll open up the pantry so if you've seen some of my other videos you'll know that i actually got this door flipped around now so it's not upside down got the pantry shelves built so i just built these in my last video and i've had a few people comment telling me i need to add some supports underneath here so i'll get to doing that because this is this is my first time working with any mdf so i guess i have a few spans that are a little bit too far so i'll get some supports under here to hold it but we just got tons of storage in here and all the way down i still got to do the baseboard down in here i just need to get a trailer when i go pick it up because they come in 17 foot lengths now this is the extra bedroom my friend mason that helped me build this place is renting this room for me so you can see his king size bed in here pretty good size extra bedroom big window in here see he's got his tv mounted here playstation everything is in the closet so the hdmis ran up through the ceiling and everything it's nice to have an extra bedroom like this so later on in my life when i have a family and stuff like that i can grow into this house and then if i ever need to add on to it i can do that pretty easily now let's go upstairs to the master bedroom and i'll show you around that that's my favorite part of the house actually before we get to the master bedroom we'll stop in this storage room now again this can be another bedroom or something that i grow into in the future if i need to but right now we just got some tools storage containers in here and this is heated and cooled so it could be an office or bedroom or anything like that one day now walking over the master bedroom you can see down into the shop pretty cool i've had a lot of people ask me why the stairs going to the master bedroom or down in the shop and on the original floor plans if you go look at them you can see that they were supposed to be on the inside but after actually getting everything done down there and trying to get them to fit with the code required rise and run we actually couldn't make it work with how far along we were so the easiest fix was just to move the stairs to the shop and you can see this is a king size bed this bedroom is about 17 feet by 14 feet two big windows the door to the deck is in here you can see my tv up here this is a 70 inch tv it's on a mount that you can has a wireless remote so you can push a button put it up to the ceiling or drop it down that way if i want to watch tv now we'll go into the master closet now i don't have enough stuff to fill this closet up but i'm sure one day i will you can see we got some shoe storage right here shirt storage my xbox the wi-fi router electronic stuff is in here and you can see we got two rows of shirts we got some more storage stuff here and a dresser i'm probably going to get a custom dresser built to actually fit this exact dimension right here and then i'm not 100 sure i could always add some more shelves in here but like i said i still have to grow into this a little bit most of this is just sitting here empty so i can always add to that now we got some jackets hoodies dirt bike jerseys and then two more shirt spots are just completely empty so that's the master closet it's about 14 feet long and about four feet wide also heated and cooled so we got the safe in the wall here now going into the master bathroom you can see we got the double vanity sink here pretty sweet got a full-size mirror coming over here we got a walk-in shower we got the rock floors this stuff super cool i'm i'm really happy i went with this and the rain head right here we also tied some granite into the shower granite here granite right here by the freestanding tub and then you got the view of the valley right here so i do need to get some glass put right here to the ceiling and i might even try to get a door for right here you wouldn't you'd think there'd be a lot more water that would spill over this or down on the ground it's really not too bad but there is a little bit of water and i just don't want that to build up over time and maybe cause problems with the sheetrock or baseboard or anything so we'll get some glass put there toilet behind the door now we did some lvp basically a big walkway all the way through here and then carpet on the bedroom i love carpet but i didn't want people to have to walk on carpet to go out to the deck if someone was coming over we wouldn't have to walk through a bunch of carpet we could go clear across on the lvp outside so these doors right here i'll show you real quick they actually have sliders on them that have blinds so on hot days like this i would actually normally have all these blinds closed they're insulated and they help keep it really cool in here so we'll go outside on the deck now we did a two-tone trex flooring out here custom hand railings with cables and one inch rigid pipe so you got a nice bench right here with a cushion got to have the american flag of course you can see the chain we got right here that's for the gutters that's a downspout that way we don't have to have a big metal downspout attached to this timber and basically cover it the whole way down see we got a little solar light right here keeps the flag lit up at night now coming around this side see we just got a picnic table it's awesome coming up here you can sit up here and watch the sunset and eat dinner or whatever you want to do play cards another quick pan of the view it's a nice sunny day today all right guys well
