$6.00 DIY Dollar Tree Lamp/Chandelier

[Music] [Music] hi guys welcome back to my channel it's iriselli in today's video we're going to be making a dollar tree diy lamp um i know you probably some of you didn't understand what the heck i said at the beginning but it was exactly what i just said it was just the introduction i know i have some subscribers that also speak spanish because i've seen them you know comment in spanish and stuff i might be getting into making some spanish videos also just because in all fairness um i am hispanic so i do want to kind of touch into that um i don't know what word i'm looking for but into that community i guess um because again i do know that i have a lot of subscribers that are hispanic and they probably would like to hear some spanish as well anyways today's video though is gonna be mostly english um so i'm working with a broken tripod it broke yesterday so i'm gonna try to get it keep it as steady as possible so this is gonna be mostly dollar tree stuff you're gonna be needing one of these hanging baskets with the chain i purchased one of these um plastic crystal looking bowls i have some of this acrylic diamond wrap and then i also purchased a couple of these storage containers or like tins i'm only gonna be using one um let's see i have some foam sheets some batteries led lights again these are from the dollar tree i have my glue um hot glue and also e6000 so also i'm gonna be using one of these little hanging hooks okay so i'm gonna try to keep this as steady as possible again my tripod broke so if it wobbles around that is why i'm gonna take this um one of these little tin containers and i'm gonna take the lid off i actually bought two different size um acrylic diamond wrap so as you can see one's thicker it has like five five rows and this one only has three i'm gonna be taking the one with three and i'm gonna put um just some right there just to kind of get it started [Music] okay so the next thing that i'm that i did was take the chain off of the basket here so basically what i'm going to do is just hot glue this right in there and i'm going to try to put plenty of glue so that it sticks really well so there's that [Music] and to be able to hold that together so it doesn't move i'm going to put some of this trim in there also just so that it kind of has something to hold on onto [Music] okay all right so that's done i'm gonna take my led light and i had already opened this and also i already put the batteries in it it takes three aaa batteries just put some hot glue right on the rim here of the basket i'm going to put a good amount too because i want it to stay put i'm gonna actually add some diamond wrap on the end of here also i'm not gonna put a lot just because it's plastic and i don't want it to melt so i'm just gonna start out with a little bit i'm going to still be able to twist that off [Music] all right that is blinged out a little bit i'm gonna go ahead and attach it back on here we go and then again i'm gonna bring this part over here and [Music] put a good amount of hot glue i'm gonna put some e6000 glue on this one just because it's going to be what it's hanging from so i want to make sure that it stays [Music] all right i'm taking my foam i'm going to cut some sheets that are about the width of the um or the wider diamond wrap going to start gluing this around the rim of this bowl here [Music] so i put a couple of layers of that foam inside of here and as you can see you're going to see it out here so what i'm going to do now is wrap the outside rim with the gold or with the diamond wrap okay so that is all wrapped up what i'm going to do is take okay so i think i'm going to need another layer or so of this phone all right so admit this part's not the prettiest but it's gonna have to work there we go so that fits in there pretty flush [Music] i am going to put some hot i'll try and glue some hot glue in there all right so there's that i'm just going to kind of try to get any of the leftover glue all right so i just put the hook in the ceiling and then i also made this just a little bit shorter um just because our ceilings are not very tall and it was too long so i just shortened it up a little bit it's kind of a pain in the rear cutting these off so i just left them but as you can see it's all done all right and like i said our slings are not very tall so anytime i want to turn it off i can just reach in there and do that [Music] and actually you know what i kind of like the blue hint that the foam is giving it um but with a led light also it just gives it a little um i don't know a nice little tone all right guys that is it for my dollar tree diy here um i'm on a stool so it's not that close to my head let me know what you guys think um it was actually
