60 fps Best Settings for Tekken 8 Steam Deck SteamOS (Not FSR 3 Mod) #tekken8 #steamdeck #fsr3

[Music] hello everybody Welcome to the channel today let's take a look at Tekken 8 on Steam de themos and I'm going to show you how to get 60 FPS for this game I've currently got FSR 3.0 frame generation mod on so you can see when I like changed the menu you can see that like UI flickering or artifacting I don't know why people call it artifacting um yeah if you know let me know in the comments why is it called artifacting I've you know just call it flickering it's flickering around you can see that right yeah anyway so let me show you the game with um FSR 3 mod on so um you know you don't have to do it I've already done it it's not the best way you can see that um UI flickering ghosting artifacting stuff like that and the performance isn't good look look at it you can see like the FPS counter on the top left corner martial law okay it looks like it's doing well but in fact it's not like really doing that well it's really sluggish get ready for the next battle so yeah let's take a look at this first so the steam deck is telling me I'm getting like 7ish frames but it feels like really bad see that see how slow it is yeah they like I've got the ingame like FPS counter on it says 30 something I think maybe that's the true maybe that's the true counter I'm not sure I'm not sure why the steam deck says it's 6070 but um yeah so this is not good this not good let's turn this off yeah I'm going to turn the game off you can see I've got the mod on yeah right yeah I've got the Luke FC mod on yeah let's quit the game let's quit the game and I'm going to remove the launch options so I'm not going to run the mod okay turn that off okay so I'll show you my um steam deck settings I'm currently on stable version of the Steam OS and currently the latest version is 3.5.7 okay the latest stable release and I've got 4 GB here 4 GB of vram and I've got cry utilities on recommended settings okay so let's run the game without the mod he and my steam deck also on the performance tab I've just disabled frame limit everything else is set to off okay and on Power Tools I've just got smt enabled eight threads govern set of performance and that's it so that's my settings and in game settings I'll show you how I achieved like 60 FPS you would assume that if you're playing on the steam deck you'll probably set it to FSR but no don't set it to FSR or your upscaling that doesn't get you like a 60 FPS somehow okay so let's go to options and go to graphic settings okay so full screen resolution 1280x 720 vyc off okay and then I just set the render preset to low okay render scale set to 65 and upscaling I'm going to use TSR instead of the FSR 2 going use TSR and then everything is set to low except for texture quality I'm going to set it to High yeah and that's my settings so I've got the FPS on like the the in-game counter okay so you might want to pause this screen okay now let's take a look at it let's take a look at it so most of the battles I get like 60 frames like 58 59 it does like fluctuate a little bit but uh yeah it's okay okay it's smooth it's fast get ready for the next battle so like the in between like the FPS like fluctuates like the these these title screens stuff like that but uh in game in the when you're battling you can see we get 59 60 and it's smooth it's not that sluggish before remember when we were playing with FSR 3 mod on round see that it's really smooth so I think these the best settings for steam deck but from what I've tried you could try different ones and if you can get better Set uh performance let me know in the comments see that all right let's play another stage you win play another stage so if you play like with FSR I've tried it with FSR same settings just the upscaling is not TSR it's FSR 2 performance balance stuff like that um I get like 40ish 40ish frames and I don't know why FF seems not a good upscaling for this game if you want performance because fighting games I think you really need the the like you need the fluid fluidity like you need to be fluid but if it's sluggish it's not it's not fun so most stages I've seen like is really good with these settings and it looks better on the steam deck screen obviously cuz now I'm using a capture card with like 1080P and it's blown up so doesn't look as good if you're playing on your theme deck screen it looks a lot better so in this video I won't show you how to install the FSR 3 mod because I don't really think you need it yeah that's it guys so let me show you one more stage one more stage so yeah you roughly get an idea like what happens when you're battling when you're fighting round one fight yeah so yeah we get a constantly like 60 58 59 not really good at attacking but the series has been forever I think I'm more of a virtual fighter like player well actually I like Street Fighter and King of Fighters a lot more round fight uh but if it's 3D fighting like this I kind of like Virtual Fighter more I remember like back in the day when it first came out virtual fighter in the arcades like we were so amazed at the 3D fighting and I use Jackie back there okay so yeah that's it so I'll leave it here
