- Did you steal from him? I was the one who had
to put the pressure on Robert because
nobody else could put fear in him to say the truth. If you (beep) steal from me, I'm gonna beat the
living (beep) outta you. I'm impressed with David;
I've got to step up my game. I gotta be the Season five hero. - Stealing in the
pod is a problem. (inmates talking) - We were kinda like, okay, someone needs to put
Jasmine in her place. I'm seeing thieves
not being held accountable for their actions, I'm seeing kites
being unanswered, I'm seeing the D.O.'s watching from the other side
and doing nothing. (laughs) - Maurice, like, they mad
'cause I got a double-bed, they bout to take my bed,
and I was like, what? I said, "you know what, Ima
nip this in the butt now." And one more thing, if y'all
don't like it, fight me. I swear to God. - I'm sick of the (beep),
I'm sick of the petty (beep). - David stood in the middle
of the pod and he said I don't care what race you
are, I don't care who you are, if you wanna fight
me, then let's go. - (beep) man... - At some point, man,
you might be called on, you know, to follow
through on your threats, and that's where
I fear for David. - When you causing
problems consecutively, it's a issue. Everybody had to suffer
because of one person. Richard, the head
of the Chicanos came and apologized later on,
like, "I'm so sorry, Prince, "I didn't mean to
like, upset you." I'm like just chill though,
bro have you some chill. So, that kind of pretty much
deleted that out the air. - The fact that he came
back and apologized, I will respect it, you know? It showed me that
he real solid, man. The crazy part
about being in jail, I probably met more
solid people in jail then I have on the streets
or in my regular life, man. - [David] And I will apologize
to everybody for going (beep)
like that, man. I had a heart to heart with
every person in the room. But would I consider
you family or friend, then that's what I consider
you a family and friend. Throughout my journey
I've created bonds that have sustained me mentally. (laughs) - So, all of them are like
considered close friends to me. When you're with people 24/7, it's hard to maintain that level of separation that
I'm in this program. - I (beep) slept
so hard last night. - I did too, girl,
I had bad dreams... - Jasmine, she's
conniving, very conniving, and she stole from
me and Brooke. (laughs) I put in kites to the officers, but they didn't do
nothing about it. - Since I been here I
submitted several kites, and I feel it kinda goes
into like, this black hole-- like just the abyss, like I never see
them come back to me. (dog barking) - Finally, the officers was
actually doing something about the kites we
put in on Jazmine. Here we go. - One by one we
were told to walk up and stand in this screened area. (dog barking) (Jazmyn shrieks) - We went out into the rec room and while we're in the rec room, they went through our rooms. - The thing about inmates is
they know how to be sneaky, they know how to
make things blend in. We were in the rec room
for quite some time, so I feel like they
did search fairly well. - Alright, clear to
bring em back in. - Okay. - The proud occupants
of 320, on your feet. - Part of my mission
is to pay attention to how the D.O.'s
are doing things. And it's funny because
it's the first time I've seen the D.O.'s
really do anything. - Me and Brooke went
to check our room. When I went to my room,
they took my sheets. What the (beep)? And her room, they
took all her sheets, her blanket and everything. I was like, why
would they do that? This is not about
Jazmine stealing. Ask anybody else if
they got they stuff. - How is it that
Jazmyn and Brooke, who haven't gotten
in any trouble the entire time that
we've been here, are the ones that are
getting stuff taken away? - Yet, people like Jazmine, who are stealing from people, and not even trying to hide
it, got in no sort of trouble. - [Abner] I am halfway
through my 60 days with my mission of gangs. And I have completely
been betting. - What's cracking? I am a bonafide Chicano, I am the enforcer holding
position for the Chicanos, the right hand man for
the head of the Chicanos. I can uncover a
lot being a leader in the pod and holding position. Now I'm bout to checkmate you. You get the perks of
knowing how people move, how, you know, certain
things go around the pod. They trust me. - Giovanni is a Chicano,
Giovanni is a good dude. He's not a bad dude,
he's just made a mistake, but when you come to jail,
you put a persona on, and people like me
spot that persona. - [Abner] There it is... How am I in check? - Try and take the pawn. - How am I in check? - Try to take the (beep) pawn. - You can talk
tough all you want, but until that pressure
really hits you, that's when you really find out who that person really is. - [Abner] When you get
called upstairs, something's going down. Gangs hold meetings in blind
spots, could be shower, could be one of the
rooms with no camera, or where the camera doesn't
reach and decide punishment. - [Justin] On my phone. - Giovanni took it
upon himself to start stealing from Justin, a Wood. 50 dollars worth of phone,
and that was a no-no. And especially from the Woods. - Chicano's politics
are more stricter, you have to enforce
it to the fullest. Which is my job,
I'm the enforcer. I say to myself, what
do we do with this. The Woods, everybody, we put
up a scheme to watch him, to catch him in the act. (blues guitar music) - After watching Zach
and Nate, you know, some of the guys that've
gone through past seasons, and knowing that David is
doing an excellent job. Man, I gotta step up my game. I'm here for the Sheriff,
I'm here for the Chief, to find out what they want
about the jail operations here. - [Mark] Well, I found a
majority of it. The only thing I'm
missing is the PIN number. - No, I remember my PIN number, 'cause my problem is the
paper itself is gone, I can't find the paper. It may not be that
big of a deal, but it's better safe than sorry. - [Guard] Well today it ain't
gonna happen tonight. Stealing phone time, stuff like
that, can be a safety issue. So, the D.O. should
take it seriously. How are you going to
rectify the situation? - [Mark] So, can I speak
to a supervisor? - [Guard] When they come
in here. - [Guard] If I do that for you,
I gotta do it for the whole facility, you know
what I'm saying? - [Mark] Just hypothetical,
if it's gone, then, let's say all my
money's been used. Will they at least reimburse me, and say, "Hey, we
understand crap happens." - [Guard] Well, it's not
their fault, I mean you lost paperwork. - [Mark] I wanted to frickin
knock him out, like right then, I wanted
to say, "You frickin grrrr." Okay thank you. - That I had never lost or
misplaced my PIN number. At first I was a
little hesitant, a little questioning
on what do I need to do to step up my game, but then I developed a plan. I decided that I would
mysteriously lose my PIN number, just so I could see how long would it be before
they turned it off, especially when you have
money on your phone time. I thought, you know, now
is a great opportunity to test the jail
operations here. I was highly unimpressed with how they handled that situation. Working as a C.O.
you gotta be tough, and you gotta go, go, go, go and criminals are always
trying to get away with stuff. But, when the majority
of people are just here to do their time,
frickin cut 'em a break. - What'd they take? - Officers were searching the
pod looking for contraband, but the only thing
they took from my cell was my
sheets and blanket. - [Brooke] No, I have nothing. - Really unusual
that our staff would take your blankets
and sheets away. You didn't, for any reason,
give them to anybody else? - No, I would never, I'm
not gonna sleep on this. - It's quite comfortable. - They came and looked
me in my eye and said, "The guards didn't take it." Well, where did it go? There was no time
for another inmate to run into my cell, real fast, and take my sheets
and my blanket, and then run into a--they
blatantly just lied to my face. - What you missing? - My sheets that go over this. They was like, "The reason
why we took your sheets "is because it's damage,
destruction to property. Destruction of property. But, they came tied. The officers, nobody
did not anything. They picking on me and
Brooke, so I was like, I think we getting targeted. - [Officer] Alright, everybody
back to your rooms. - [Oficer] 201... - A pair of boxers,
a stick of deodorant and some books. - [Officer] Everyone come out
and have a seat. As a police officer, seeing
how the D.O.'s treat us, pisses me off to the
highest level of pissity. Like I'd be so (beep) mad, man, I be having to bite my tongue
'cause I wanna be like, "Yo, man, you know
who the (beep) I am?" - 204, you guys
need to come down. - Morales came and
flexed his little self and thought he was
doing something, so. Here we go again. - Alright fellas, listen up. If we have one person clashed
and rolled outta here, you guys will be on
the STEP program. - You'll be locked
down for 30 days, no showers for the
first five days, no visitations for the
first week. No TVs for two weeks
and then pretty much, slowly just work your way out. - Damn bro, five days
with no shower, dog? - This seems awfully funny
that this pod right here, has had the most roll-ups out of any other pod in this unit. - [Officer] Okay? - Y'all have the highest
rollout, but the least assaults. Uh, isn't that a good thing? - When that happens we'll
address that, but... - Hey guys, listen, listen. This is our jail,
this is our unit. - Morales saying that
this was his jail, y'all don't run the jail-- technically, we
kinda do, though. We keep the peace
more than them. - Enjoy the rest
of your day out. - Morales is a (beep),
I don't like him. - Did you guys catch
all that (beep)? I'm a cop, you're a D.O.,
you're like, no offense, you're like the lowest
level of law enforcement. - (beep) what the
guards talking about (beep) every single one of em. - You're technically a servant,
you know what I'm sayin'? Yeah, you keep the peace
to an extent, but you ain't on patrol,
you ain't arresting nobody. But yet, you flex so
much though. Why, Why? - I'm a star! (inmates talking) - I was gonna sharpen
pencils and the officer said, "You, come here."
And I said, "Huh?" she said, "First name,
last name, social security, "date of birth, mom's first
and last name, cell phone." And I was like, "Um Okay." - If there's been more
suspicion coming from the guards about Jazmyn, she just
said that they were like, eyeballing her and just
treating her really weird. - From my understanding,
the D.O.'s are not supposed to be, like,
interrogating you, you know what I mean? It's like that's what,
like, the Sheriffs are for or if you're speaking to
a Detective or something. But for them to single her
out and keep asking her like, really weird questions
and question her backstory, and question where she's from, it's kinda really
bizarre because it hasn't happened
to anyone else. - If I'm not worried
about nothing, I'm worried about the D.O.'s-- 'cause I think
they know who I am. - So now, she's
getting more paranoid, because she's like, I
don't wanna be a target. I don't want something to
mysteriously happen to me, because the D.O.'s were
like, "Hey, this girl "is here to get
information on me." - Justin noticed that
it 50 dollars missing from his phone, but he
noticed that Giovanni was using the phone, a
lot; and everybody knew that Giovanni didn't
have no minutes. - So me and Rudy got together
to catch him in the act. Giovanni took the
bait and Jordan saw him click the numbers in, and that's how we
pretty much caught him. - You are caught, there's no
way around this, you're caught. From my experience
in being in gangs, you have to enforce
your politics, even if it's your
brother, you have to. I can't keep control of the
soldiers if I'm not in command. Listen, you stole from dude...
- From who? - From the white dude. - I didn't steal (beep)
from nobody, dog. I mean, you guys can go in
here and say that I did, but I didn't steal (beep). - No, your boys saying that. - Well, you guys go over
here and talk to him again. - That's why we all gonna
be in the same room, upstairs and we're
gonna have a trial. The enforcer is the one that
makes the ultimate sacrifice. If someone has to get smacked,
someone will get smacked. If someone has to get punished, I'm the guy you're gonna
go one on one with. - You talk a good one,
but we gonna have trial. - No, we gonna have a
trial, (beep) that. - [Woman] Get water. Yeah, you got water? (dramatic music) - I kinda don't trust
any of the D.O.'s. They stole like Brooke's
blanket and Jazmyn's sheets. I mean, are they
gonna target me? Are they gonna do
something to me? I'm like. - The jail operations and
protocol at this facility are all kinds of messed up. There's clearly favorites. So D.O.'s will make
certain agreements with some of the
inmates that they like, but then punish to the full
extent others that they dislike. Like searching my room
only and that's wrong. (dramatic music) - What'd I do? It's a really weird situation. And I'm like, "Why do you
keep searching my room?" I'm just kind of like
trying to do my time, blending in, and I'm
getting targeted. - Me, Brooke, and Vivian,
we all been targeted and nobody can
actually tell us why. I hope the guards don't know that me, Brooke, and
Vivian are participants. (dramatic music) (dramatic music) - Dillon is just a kid that
has made some mistakes. He's come to me because, you
know, I lead the Bible study and I think he just sees
me as a genuine person. I've really grown
fond of Dillon. - [Man] I've already signed up. - I walked over there
to sign up for a razor. I was in the middle of a
conversation with Dillon. Whoa, hey sir, I'm sorry. Hey sir. - [Man] Too late, bruh. - [Mark] Come on,
it ain't too late. You're just walking out. Come on dude, really? (beep) jerk (beep) The D.O. looked me
right in the eye and turned around
and walked out. You know, I got
ticked off about that. It was completely disrespectful. They wonder why it
makes me pissed off. Like literally,
I was walking up. The other inmates saw
I had been screwed over because some of the other
inmates had my back in there. - When I walked up,
like literally stuff is still sitting there. - [D.O.] Listen to
me, sir, please. - [Mark] No, I was walking up.
- [D.O.] Listen to me, please. - [Mark] You grabbed it.
- [D.O.] When I come in here and yell for razors,
anybody standing around there is gonna sign. - [Mark] And I walked up.
- [D.O.] You can't come up here.
- [Mark] You grabbed it as I was walking
up and walked out. - And right now, you
ain't getting (beep) because of the way
you're talking. You got a better attitude,
you get something from me. Alright?
- [Mark] Hold on, if I had a better attitude? You're the one that walked out. - What's that?
- I'm the one. - Right now, I want you locked
down, you're locked down, and you're locked down.
- [Man] Okay, whatever (beep). - Go lock down. And you better
watch your mouth sir or you will be
going up to G unit. - From my standpoint,
the yelling at him was a little calculated. He can treat us like (beep). - You're (beep). - I couldn't let the
D.O. just walk off without saying something. Freaking jerk, dude. - If you come out again,
I'll give you a ticket. - He locked me down and
the other inmates saw that. And hopefully that
showed that, you know, maybe I do have a little
bit more respect in there. Being a former C.O.,
I know they're always trying to get over on you. But when you have a D.O. that
comes in with an attitude like this guy, then he
needs to be called out and he needs to be addressed. So, I'm gonna give the
sheriff the information and it's up to the sheriff
to react to that information. (dramatic music) (dramatic music) - [D.O.] Alright, Suarez. - One of the officers
pulled out Vivian. - [Woman] Uh oh. - [D.O.] Come on. - And I was like, "Oh no,
they're doing the same thing they did with Jazmyn." Vivian came back in and
the officers pulled me out, so I don't know. (dramatic music) - The D.O. said,
"I work at intake and your information
is missing", which seemed really
strange to me. - They only pinpointed
me, Brooke, and Vivian. Why she didn't ask
everybody else in the pod? - What I'm afraid of
is maybe it's their way of letting us know,
without saying anything that we know who you are. You're not supposed to be here. That's kind of my thought. - We need to just kind
of lay low for a while. We don't have a
lot of time left. Let's just kind of try
to keep things cool and gather information. - As long as the inmates
don't suspect one of us, we're not in physical danger. But as far as the guards go, I mean, they can make it harder
to complete our missions. (dramatic music) - We're pretty much
the judge and the jury. So I got everybody together and basically let them know, if you're against
me, I'm against you. So you need to be against him. He's wrong for stealing. - He started mumbling,
(mumbles), you know. You could tell he was lying. A green light with the
Chicanos or any other is pretty much, you're
banned from the unit, the gang, everywhere. You're pretty much
gonna be looked upon as a snitch, thief,
chicken, whatever. - He went in front of the
camera and ran out the room. It was like a snitch,
checker move, a rat. And when a convict
sees that, (sniffs) he smells prey. There's gonna be Chicanos,
the Woods, all of them on you. Once he sees that blood pouring, he's gonna know what reality is. (dramatic music) Giovanni, when I told
him he had a green light, he ran out the room and pretty much said,
"Catch me out here." That's snitching
because we all know there's a camera out
there and you want to jeopardize our freedom. - [Jordan] Yeah?
- [Giovanni] Yeah. - [Abner] Cover up Jordan,
that's it. Nobody get in this. - [Man] Take it in the room. - [Abner] He ran out. Yo, yo, yo. Yo, don't let him go, yo. - Don't let him go, yo. - [Officer] Go lock down,
everybody lock down. Go lock down, now let's go! Lock down, let's go. - [D.O.] Let go of him, now. - [D.O. 2] Two inmates
fighting... - Let go of him, now! - [D.O.] On the ground, now! Lock down, lock down. - Jordan did sacrifice
himself for us and took him out the unit. And I respect him for that. You a rat. You a rat, bro. - (beep) you, AB. - You a rat. Snitch. Giovanni self destructed. You're dead. You pretty much killed yourself. And he's the one
that's wrong, stealing. Stealing, he's the
one that's wrong. Yeah, he's gotta be like
that everywhere he goes. Me and Giovanni used
to play chess a lot, but this time I pretty
much checkmate him. Boom, got him. (dramatic music) (Willie singing
