hey guys welcome to the x-raying on today's episode what we're going to talk about is the Ruger precision rimfire the are PRF so myself and Rick have been doing a lot of shooting shooting here lately and I was able to pick up a Ruger RP our rimfire the other day paid a little over $400 for it and I really liked my cz 455 but I did a video with a head-to-head comparison and that RP are actually out shot my 455 so today just a few minutes ago Rick actually picked up one as well we've talked him off with the Burris XT ours the one that I won at the Bushnell elite so playing around with the different ammo yields completely different results we wanted to try to do some long-range with it and so we figured you know maybe stingers being so hot I know that's not usually the best for accuracy but just being able to reach out there well believe it or not by shooting something a little lower velocity like 1,200 feet per second but not having to buck the wind so badly as in the shooting some suppressor ammo or something like that that yielded a little more accuracy the good the good medium has been the Remington golden bullet and so with it I've been able to go out from 100 to 200 to 300 to 400 yards on some tiny Steel's now guys these are like just a little over 1 MOA but it's a great training tool so we've got a Rick over there he's wore out guys look at this pile of brass over here all those 22 brass so what I'll try to do is I'll try to do a demo for you we'll see if this works just do one good long take on this and hopefully all my dad is right trying to use a rudimentary try potty or bipod here so I am shooting the Remington golden bullet the only difference between what I'm shooting and what Rick's shooting is he is using an MOA based scope and I'm using a mil base scope so the very first one and you got a dial a lot guys but at a hundred yards I've got my turret zeroed out at 100 my first target is at 200 and that is 4.5 mils so let's go ahead and try that at 4.5 here we and that's an impact it was nice it was centered up now what we're gonna do is go to 300 yards 300 yards calls for ten point two mils so I'm at ten point two 300 yards and that's an impact just a little left of center I don't know if I'm hoping you guys can picked up on the microphone but they're solid now and when I go to 400 yards I have to go up to 17 mils and guys that is almost the maximum on this scope so let me see if we can get an impact at 400 now 400 is a really tiny target all right looking at the wind and the wind flags I'm gonna hold about 8/10 left red and that was way low how long and that would be from consistency in ammunition Mill left guys these targets are really small I hated it and do that I'm gonna try to run it again let's see if we do it one more time that's an impact hey guys you will burn through a lot of 22 ammunition but man this thing is awesome and for $400 man it is tough to beat it is a great draining tool I can see it would be great for positional stuff and the 500 yard target is actually a little tougher right now the wind is going from 1 mil right to 1 mil left within a couple of seconds but man this is a great platform it has the adjustable cheek riser adjustable link to pull yeah this backside is polymer but guys I am very impressed with everything it does have the in lock up front so I've got an atlas on the front of it I am running the Silencerco Sparrow on it right now but it's a great suppressor see if we can do a little more shooting oh you're nicking the tree yeah but you know I'm shooting the bottom right yeah you're in Long with that tree though how do you even see that target you're not an engine you just hit the tree bottom left go ahead you're nicking the tree every time you're never going to get impacts on that you're gonna have to shift positions you're hitting the tree I know you can see the tree clearly because you're a bullet is nicking the tree and then being deflected so the ones that you're hitting it's just a you're getting lucky with it that's all you need to have a clear line you've hit that tree every single shot so far you hit it so you got a hold right it you got to miss the tree one two quarters of an MOA two quarters of an MOA we were working on some siding yesterday and I'd say something like half he'd be like 8/16 that's what I said it's a quarter no it's four sixteenths half of a blade width of a thirty seconds off of sixty fourths what you're low alright guys so the problem with shooting these 22s is extra at extreme long-range like five hundred yards is the vertical dispersion or the disparity in the ammunition so I might hold you know 17 mils one second and then all of a sudden it's 20 mils low and then you adjust for that then it's back to 17 so I'm switching to the Ely 10 X I'm shooting a 500-yard target it is a little over two minutes of angle so let's see what we can get oh I am missing it by like inches guys inches.that is an impact at 500 so it definitely helps to use the higher higher end more regulated ammunition for that but yeah it was all it was dancing I had a couple of four or five shots that were literally half-inch off just the edge you could just didn't even understand how it even missed it but if that's pretty cool 500 yards of the 22 long-rifle
