500 Nautical mile Journey on a offshore TUGBOAT!

how you doing getting up here having a local coffee we are currently in chesapeake bay we're heading towards new york final destination but you guys are in for a ride all right we got some cool going on now we left charleston a couple days ago heading up north and going to new york we're taking this tugboat to a shipyard in upstate new york up the hubsan river it's certainly been an interesting trip so far we broke our tow cable we had to pour a new socket we ran into a bunch of weather and i figured i'd pick this camera and show you kind of what's been going on so here we go we're gonna drink this coffee do a couple things do some cleaning and show you what life is like on a wire boat toni barge off the coast all right so i'm going to show you where we're at right now on the chart flip you around started right here charleston come all the way around light boat picked up a barge here virginia now we are heading up chesapeake bay all the way up to chesapeake bay through the canal down the delaware bay up the coast of new jersey that's where i live right here and all the way up the hudson river all the way up we got rain storms a few squalls but overall pretty good trip stay tuned it's about three o'clock tonight and on watch until six lay down wake up do it again do a little bit of cleaning some engineering watches and just chill check it out [Music] [Music] what's up everybody it's really loud in here and that's why you can't hear me at the moment i have headphones on but basically i'm doing an engine room check we do these every single hour i check the engines i just take a once over look at the generator that's running and everything else that is down there i make sure there's no water down in the voids and these are the numbers that i take every three hours we basically just keep track of the rpms fuel pressure oil pressure and temperatures and stuff like that so there's the numbers that we check and yeah it's pretty nice pretty simple everything seems to run pretty fine though so everything's looking good and it's really loud and so i'm probably gonna get out of here [Music] as you may know this bad boy right here she gets used good all right so you know keep her clean cleaner daily if you'd like to keep the place clean so nothing but the little 409 can't fix the bricks around not a paper towel wipe her down daily in the practice gotta do it [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] uh sweeping mopping is almost mandatory once a day on the boat it is so important because all the dirt and all the dust and all the crap that builds up in the boat out here so we're gonna just have a nice clean house so sweeping and mopping you know i'll enjoy it it's not too bad keep the place clean look at this yeah getting all the dirt today [Music] all this right here this might be the most important part of my job okay what happens right here i have to pay very close attention to the first proper filter and then a little bit of folders two scoops two nice scoops two thick strips now it is about 5 15. cotton about to wake up you gotta have his coffee ready you don't have his coffee right man it's not looking good okay all right ready nice and warm old pot come down here he's gonna get his cup half and half of it it is now six a.m coffee was a success i'm getting ready to go to bed be up again at like 11 30 11 45 and then that's like afternoon watch after that do a little workout but yeah this is my room this is kind of what it looks like here i'll show you all this crap it's my bed stuff hang this up there you go i'm gonna hit the rack and i'll be up in about five hours [Music] smoothie i woke up this morning and the temperature is getting a lot colder we are getting further north i am freezing i'm gonna bundle up gotta get back on watch back to work baby get on it slave drivers got a little car this morning kyle's cooking up some uh some chicken looks like it's gonna be really good we're just cruising here and uh got a couple things to do today no nothing too crazy but lunch is going to be ready soon we're going to eat keep on cruising [Music] sunset's getting pretty nice sometimes [Music] so after that sunset just got off watch gonna hit my workout in the engine room and then take a little nap get up do it all over again you can see it's pretty much what happens cook we eat we clean we move things and i like to work out a lot i work on my videos and some other stuff keep the boat straight keep the boat clean and keep up with all the maintenance there's really not much else to do [Music] so we've got a little chili cooking up here we're just cruising around here by baltimore and leftover ground beef and i'm gonna throw it all in a pot make a little chili for the boys [Music] all right give her a little go here for a couple of minutes a little spoonful here we go oh yeah not too shabby fun fact for all you subscribers out there hi actually at the winner previous chili cookoff contest at our family friend's house yeah it's a big deal for me i want to cook [Music] well how did [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] a little bit of maintenance here we got uh some grease fittings take care of the wood what i can get while we're towing just because we have the wire out so i'm not gonna get in the way that i'm not gonna get inside of the winch but i can hit some of that stuff like these fittings here and some other small stuff right there there's a canal [Music] good trip so far ocean's about three to four foot pretty comfortable though i'm enjoying it it's not too bad that right there's where i live like right about there we're passing it going up the coast new jersey we got out of the delaware bay and now we're starting to make a little bit more speed so we should be there tomorrow like in the harbor tomorrow around [Music] we should be in the harbor tomorrow around 10 o'clock we have to get pushed here because we're gonna take this barge we're gonna push up the hudson river so you're gonna see all that and it should be pretty interesting um another boat's gonna come out and hold the bars first while we break down getting pushed here and make up for the large and pushed up hudson got atlantic city right there slowly making it up the coast it's probably like 46 foot holding coming up [Music] my [Music] thanks [Music] we are here in push gear looking good
