all right so I know there's a lot of people who are new to PC gaming and trust me the beginning can be confusing to some people well what's up guys Brad Agyei here and today I'm gonna be giving five tips for new PC gamers and just for a disclaimer if you're not new to PC gaming then this video might not be for you also in this video I want to try to keep things short simple and straight to the point and if you want to dedicate a video for any of these tips drop a comment down below alright first things first you got a research and honestly I'm quite surprised when I see people not doing this because this is probably the most important tip on this list and when it comes to PC gaming there's a multitude of things so you got to learn like what does each part do in the PC how much should you spend are you gonna run an AMD or Intel build or most importantly what games are you trying to play and trust me if you're new there's a lot more questions you're probably gonna have to research but don't let this learning curve scare you because the thing about PC gaming is that it gets easier the more you learn and I know there's gonna be people who pretty much hate the idea of research but how do you expect to get into something without doing a bit of researching also another thing when it comes to PC gaming and such you do not need to have the same PC specs or equipment as your favorite youtubers or streamers because the most important thing when it comes to that stuff is if it suits you so with all that all the way I want to help you guys with your research in the description I'm gonna be leaving links to different stuff like what each part does in a PC how to build a PC what parts would be a better suit for you and more but keep in mind you should not just take one person's word for granted not even mine so although I will be leaving links to a lot of different info you got to make sure you've research on your own a bit but honestly with the internet you don't really have an excuse to not look up certain information moving on to tip number 2 buy your PC games cheap unlike most console games you can get games pretty cheap on PC in different ways one of which is from Steam sales in the meantime they do sales is during the summer winter and Black Friday and while the discounts during these sales are pretty good especially since summer is coming soon you might prefer the second way of getting games cheap which is from key sites and if we don't know what they are there are basically web sites we can purchase PC games for cheap as close to 95% off depending on the game and I normally prefer this method of getting games cheap because instead of waiting for one to steam sales to happen the discounts on these key sites are available pretty much all the time also they are not just limited to Steam games the also sell games through different platforms like origin and there's a variety of these sites like g2a Green Man gaming Humble Bundle and way more and if you want to compare the prices of the games from the different sites I would recommend going to the website is there any deal it's pretty self-explanatory as it just finds and compares the prices of PC games being sold on different websites if you guys interested in all of that I'll be sure to leave links to the sites down below as you will be quite surprised at how much you can save speaking of saving tip number three take advantage of all the free games available now although it lasts it with about how to buy games are cheap I know there's gonna be people who might not be able to buy any games even still so with that said there's actually a good wide variety of games so you can play for free and I'm not just talking about the mainstream games like warzone dota or even fortnight but of course you should still take advantage of any free popular game but back to my point there's actually a good variety of games so you can play for free and they're actually pretty well reviewed by many players and I'm not just talking about games on the steam store also sometimes their limited time deals way certain paid game is free to download for a certain period of time a good example I can give is subnautica right now it cost $25 on Steam but back in 2018 subnautica was free for a limited time under epic games launcher currently a game that's free for a limited time is Just Cause 4 so with that in mind you want to pay attention to these special deals as you could possibly get free games like this one and an easy way to check for free games is by keeping up to date with a free game finding subreddit but like I said before I highly recommend taking advantage of all the free games available and if you guys want me to make a dedicated video on some free PC games just drop a like and leave a comment down below asking now nearly the end we got tip number 4 and that's gonna be game settings now graphic settings as you might expect tweaks how your computer draws images on your screen and any given game you can change the quality of textures make jagged edges move increase the view distance of said game and way more however all these things come at a cost in best performance if you have a rather low-power computer you may want to lower your graphics settings so your games can run smoother or if you have a beast of a gaming PC you may want to turn them up so your game looks as best as possible and when it comes to settings there are two main ways of changing them one is theory normal games options and two is from your GPUs control panel like GeForce experience for NVIDIA cards or Radeon software for AMD cards and if you're feeling lazy some games will optimize your settings for you or your GP use control panel like GeForce experience will scan your system find your games and tell you what settings you should run for best performance and although this method will give you a good experience in the beginning I definitely recommend learning more about settings and learn what each setting does so you can potentially get better performance out of your game and tweak the settings that matter the most to you but overall this barely scratches the surface of the settings you can find and change to your liking so I'll be sure to link some videos for you guys to learn more on game settings and finally for tip number 5 you got to make sure you clean your PC and when I say clean I don't just mean making sure there's no dust there's actually three parts to this installing Windows updates keeping your drivers up-to-date and of course actually physically cleaning your PC so for the first part installing Windows updates this is one of the most annoying parts of PC maintenance but it's quite necessary these updates help keep your system protected from malicious software and viruses and often provide necessary updates to keep your system running smooth and don't worry these updates don't really take too long to install so it shouldn't be too big of a problem next it's important to keep your drivers up-to-date to get the best performance out of your hardware and will usually include a fix to a performance issue that can result in higher FPS in depending on your graphics card the control panels like geforce experience in the Radeon software will notify you if you need to update your video drivers and honestly updating your drivers is pretty simple and only takes a couple of clicks and just a bit of your time and finally when it comes to cleaning your PC you actually got to make sure it's clean of dust on the outside and especially on the inside because if your PC gets too dusty the dust buildup can prevent your PC from cooling down properly and he can even cause Hardware damage so for cleaning on the outside of your case you want to make sure it's wiped down with a microfiber cloth or something that will move any dust and for the inside is recommended to use canned air to blow the dust out which buying a pack shirt lasts a long time and it's a good idea to clean your PC at least every three to six months or more often if you have pets or living especially dusty environment but after going over all that that'll be the end of my five tips for new PC gamers and trust me although I didn't really go too much into detail on some of these tips you now have a better idea than before on getting
