5 Tips For Flying Delta Airlines (DO NOT MISS THIS)

welcome back to seconds I'm so glad you're joined me for another video this is going to be an awesome video for any of you who are flying Delta so excited for you I've got five tips for you here we go [Music] thank you [Music] all right guys five quick tips I'm gonna talk to you about check-in luggage stuff like that I'm gonna talk about security and boarding I'm going to talk to you about snacks and water and stuff like that I'm gonna talk to you about charging I'm gonna talk to you about entertainment and I've got a bonus for you are you ready let's dive into this so you can have an amazing trip tip number one tip number one is all about checking and luggage and your seat so I always recommend never try try to never buy your flights from anywhere but directly from Delta Delta's an amazing Airline and if you have any issues or problems it's so much easier to communicate with them directly and there's so many different ways you can do that through Twitter WhatsApp I think they have now um You can call them you can email them I think you can even chat with them now but I've had a really great experience with them domestically and internationally um when we were going to fly to Japan and stuff we were flying Delta I've flown them for many many years and they're just a really good Airline so once you get your tickets and you're all set to go 24 hours before your flight you want to check in now if your flight's on Friday at 6 PM that means Thursday at 6 PM you want to check in you don't have to check in but I recommend it because it's going to help Delta know you're coming not to give your shade away or anything you know that can get authentic if you're late and they usually like make you let you confirm your seat and everything you might want to do a little upgrade a lot of times they'll pop up a little upgrade for you you can get into first for like a hundred dollars more or upgrade your state to comfort plus and stuff like that so it's really good to check in and just get it all settled and set and ready to go you'll get your boarding pass on your app and you'll just be set and ready to go they have they have three uh seat types they have the standard which is like the most basic thing you might get to take your carry-on on you might not they have comfort plus and then they have first so they call it main Comfort plus and first in Maine you get to select a seat which is better than Southwest so you're gonna get a seat but no checked bags and you might not get space for your carry-on above you um comfort plus gives you more leg room and gives you space a guaranteed space above your um your head and you get the board early so that's uh that's a pretty big deal and it's not like a bigger seat or anything but just having a little extra leg room and being closer up front and getting to board early that kind of stuff can really benefit you especially if in your situation if you need to get off the flight really quickly and stuff like that or you want to board or link it seated and situated um I have won all of these main Comfort plus and first they're all really great first class is always of course nice they serve you drinks they serve you uh lots of snacks you get a bigger C you play a leg room and you get Chargers and stuff like that so I'll talk about that in a minute but whatever you select you're gonna love it now if you're first you get to board first you get two checked bags and you get priority security so let's go into two let's go into tip number two boarding and security so if you are first class A lot of airports have what's called priority boarding you get to skip the line kind of like pre-check and get into security a lot faster you still have to do all your stuff take your shoes off and everything but it can really save you a lot of time especially if you look over and that line is like super long trust me I've been there so many times it is a benefit and you want to do that once you're through security you can take no water or liquids but you can take snacks so go to a store like Kroger Walmart Target buy you some snacks they got to be sealed they got to be like new but um and you know take a time but you know you can take some snacks so you can save that money and have snacks on the plane and then hit a store we'll talk about that in a minute why you need to hit a store okay so Delta does a that does the boarding pretty much like anybody else except for Southwest they have a group whatever your group is assigned you'll see it on your phone on your uh boarding pass or your printed boarding pass you'll see your group and they'll call out you know all their normal stuff is like uh any special needs kids handicaps veterans or military and then they'll call out first class and then they'll call out the groups and they'll call the groups in order if you are in a main seat in the back of the plane you may be in the back of the group um it's just it doesn't really matter you're going to get on the plane but a lot of people get confused about what's what do they call in especially if you're a first-time Flyers so look on your boarding pass and you will see a group number or letter and that will determine where you when you're going to get the Board and they'll they'll make announcements and they'll say hey let's say it's a through D or something they'll say all right now boarding Group C and anybody who has Group C on their boarding pass will go on the plane and if you have Group D you'll wait till they call Group D it's pretty easy simple tip number three now you need the store why do you need the store so many people don't listen to me on this they come back and they say man I wish I'd listen to you and people in life too I have flown literally so many times for work and for pleasure I have flown all over the country and all over the world I'm here to tell you right now you need to listen to me on this do not board a plane any plain short long flights nothing without water and a snack if you didn't bring snacks get a water try to get a big water like this but at least get a small water and get some chips or peanuts or something I also get a Coke or something just because you never know what's gonna happen you may think everything's going smoothly we boarded early we're on the plane the doors closed we're good to go they're going to serve drinks into 30 minutes or something when we get up in the air but so much can happen especially with watch my American Airlines video but Delta Delta doesn't have this problem as much but sometimes you can get stuck at the gate with weather or something and they don't let you off and they don't serve drinks and you're sitting there thirsty and hungry or just out of control sometimes they Cruise all the way out to take off and they get told by the tower hey you gotta hold there's a weather there's something else I've said on the tarmac for three to four hours before with no water no food and no ability to get any they're not getting up also the flight could take off on time and everything's good to go and your love went off and then the pilot comes on and says Uh there's not going to be any service because of turbulence they don't get up the entire time you get no drink you get no food I'm telling you be in control because the minute you board that plane you have no control except what you chose to do before that plane before getting on you could end up circling for an I've circled a city for two hours one time because wait getting on a storm to get down where we could land you can come into all kinds of issues you need to listen to me go to store I don't care if it's five dollars for water and it should be 20 cents spend the money you will thank me I beg you to listen to me on this and get a coat too a Dr Pepper a root beer or a Powerade or Gator or something you like and get something to snack on that you like peanuts chips maybe a couple of things like chips in a candy bar or something I don't know whatever you like but get something then you're in control and when you're sitting there for two hours you can just prop up watch a TV chill out drink your drink you're all good to go and this is true for first or economy if you're in first class it's still true they won't serve you unless they're allowed to so that leads me into tip number four entertainment headphones and gear so look same situation we're just talking about and tip number three you want to be in control so download your Amazon Prime download your Hulu download your HBO Max whatever you watch download peacock get your favorite shows your favorite movies on that device and the offline mode you just go to go to your favorite stuff and there'll be a little download icon you click on Hulu has a whole download section of what you can download there just find content and put it on your phone if you listen to Spotify or apple music go there and get your music on the offline if you go to your playlist or you go to an album you go to a song you can click the little down arrow and it will download it to your device this way if their Wi-Fi system down if their entertainment system's down if you're sitting there and there's nothing on there that you like you have something to watch you have something to listen to audible podcasts all those things can be downloaded directly to your device so you don't need any kind of internet connection to watch them or listen to them I promise you you will thank me for this and if you're traveling and you get stuck somewhere even off a plane You're Gonna Want content on your phone maybe in a hotel room maybe if you're traveling internationally they don't have stuff you like to watch be sure and watch my international travel videos but stuff like that all my links are down below if you if on the gear and everything but the next thing is never ever ever ever ever ever listen watch or play anything out loud you are with a 150 200 people sometimes more you need headphones air pods the old-timey headphones of my the Bose quiet Comforts I recommend something that you can listen to if you forget them go bing bing and the flight attendant will bring you headphones but do not listen to stuff out loud it is rude inconsiderate ill-mannered immature and just plain plain stupidly rude just here to tell you when I flew flew for many many years never even thought of this everybody was super respectful there's manners about how to get on the plane what you did while you were on the plane and getting off the plane that everything was just very like um structured everybody let everybody get off no one was rude nobody was like I'm first now I see people running from the back of the plane trying to get to the front they don't understand how you board off how you board on people stand in the aisles putting their stuff up forever not letting people pass this is stupid stuff and and recently I've had so many flight attendants had to make announcements like hey you cannot listen to your stuff out loud please push your button if you need headphones use your headphones like it's crazy that they even have to say that it's just embarrassing that we're that way in society that we have people flying that don't have that common sense to say hey maybe not everybody wants to hear what I'm playing or watching or something I had a guy next to me one time playing a game and not even volume low like just booming like and I didn't I'm not the kind of person that's like snitching or anything but I was just like annoyed and so I put my uh noise cancel headset and sure enough a few minutes later somebody said something because a flight attendant came down I was like sir you gotta have headphones to turn it off and that's just the rule and you got to listen to them and it's just better to be prepared and have that ready to go now something else I always use because when I was flying so much I was like sick of like holding my phone or like setting it on the thing and like looking way down hurt my back my on my neck it's called The Fly flap it's this little flap that just bends really nicely and holds your phone on the seat really really cool cheap like 10 12 15 you will thank me for it you just prop it up in the tray or in the back of the seat it's pretty easy to use set your phone on it and you can just like watch your stuff and enjoy and relax and enjoy the flight you paid for you know Delta is an amazing Airline they've done some woke crap they've done some stupid crap they all the airlines have but most of I've flown every Airline Under the Sun I think except Alaska maybe and JetBlue um trying to think of anything else domestically and uh Delta is by far been the best I've flown them all across the country from coast to coast Seattle to Atlanta I've flown them um from Dallas to Hartford and to New York um so many times there's C3 really nice they're most of the time their flight attendants are super nice the company itself just is really always good I've never really had a bad experience with them they are a little bit more pricey usually but even when the pandemic happened and we had all the tickets booked to Japan so much stuff there they had to rework three different times and then finally cancel for us just super nice super helpful above and beyond and all I can say is I really really like Delta tip number five is all about charging I get this question all the time can I charge my phone and the answer is no 99 of the time you get on a plane you're not getting any kind of charging port unless you're first class then you'll have a charging port some planes especially new airplanes you might get on and find a charging port at your seat it is coming but there's no guarantee of it and that's why I always recommend Away Travel that's who I use I travel within away carry-on because it's got a built-in battery pack back with a fast charger and it pops out so I can hold it in my C and charge my phone if I need to if I'm walking through the airport I can just pop my uh USB cable in there and charge my phone while I'm walking it's just really great to have especially now with cancellations and long delays and stuff you don't know when you're going to get stuck if all the charging ports are going to be full it's just great to be in control like all my tips are giving you the power to fly and not be sabotaged by all the stuff and ruin your day ruin your trip ruin your you know your life and so that leads me to my bonus oh my goodness cancellations here's a tip always book directly with Delta because you can walk up to a customer service desk the front desk you can call them you can chat with them they have the power then to solve your problem as best as they can if you bought through Expedia or Priceline travel last year or somewhere like that you have to go to them and you have to get through to them and then you they have to deal and a lot of times they have really strict rules of like sorry good luck no you know they have no real power so my bonus tip is try to stick with Delta try to stay with them try to uh your book directly with them and believe it or not I have used Google and Travelocity Expedia Priceline and you know Hopper trying to find good deals and I always find the best deals with Delta now I use all those tools to search for stuff but then when I find a flight I go directly to Delta and look that flight up and usually it's the same or cheaper than what they're showing because they've got to get paid you know there's fees and stuff and Delta can take this fees off and they don't always sometimes they're more expensive so you got to take that risk if you're going to save twenty dollars or a hundred dollars and take the risk of not being in control of your trip never ever ever get the travel insurance I've never bought travel insurance I don't I don't recommend it unless you know unless there's just a lot of money at stake you bought first class tickets for six people and you might not better take them at all or something like that it might be worth it then but I just really don't see any benefit to getting the travel insurance I hope you guys like this video I hope it helps you have an amazing amazing trip and I hope you have an amazing flight whether it's business or pleasure you're going to love flying Delta they're hubbed out of Atlanta Atlanta airport is amazing it's like a big mall I I've been uh delayed there and had layover long layers like six hour layovers there flying internationally or to Mexico or somewhere like that or even uh to Seattle and um there's so many places to eat go go to like uh a nice restaurant and just grab a booth there's charging cables you can just chill out order food there's all kinds of shopping it's just a really well designed airport I think um I hate where it's located in Atlanta because when I fly to Atlanta I need to get to like North Atlanta where you're safe you know I hate the long drive but uh they are hubbed at Atlanta so if you're in Atlanta flying into Atlanta that's where you can get your direct flights again in this day and age with any Airline and the cancellations the issues and all the wokeness of taking vaccines that don't do any good and Pilots retiring because of it and all the stuff I just highly recommend you try to find non-stop flights take non-stop flights as much as you can because when you get on that plane you know you're gonna get to where you're going when you take connections one or more you're at their Mercy that you're gonna get there that when you get off that plane that the other plane is going to be ready or not delayed or already taken all there's so much issues right now hopefully that Smooths out but we're gonna have to see if they wake up and stop doing all the crud that they've been doing that's pointless and stuff guys I love seeing your beautiful
