i want to look at all the times stephen curry has proved us wrong i just don't i don't think his skill set is enough to carry a team by himself the way we saw some of these other individuals do so but he won't they won't make the playoffs and feel like 62 points uh saved your legacy or do you have 60 more games as seth said on twitter it says that he was never in the conversation for the greatest in the world we've seen this time and time again from about 30 feet out [Music] so let's do it what is up dudes do that spawners players it's your boy mj let's get these subscriber numbers to the moon for every 10 subscribers from this video i'm gonna give away a dollar of dojo coin or gamestop so subscribe for more revenge stories and basketball content and a possible ps5 in the future curry's been doubted a lot a lot before the whole warriors super team with kd and even after that but curry's always used it as motivation as bogut said curry would look at social media at halftime to get pumped that could maybe explain the famous warrior 3rd quarter runs like in 2019 kd goes down the warriors survive game 5 and now it's the rocket's turn at home to win game 6 and force a game seven i mean how could a warriors team that was too into the series with kd beat the rockets without kd that's what everyone was thinking they thought that the warriors didn't have the same theft and while curry clan draymond apparently aren't enough anymore game 6 starts and curry can't buy bucket he's just missing shots that he usually makes and steph ends the half with zero points and then via twitter well they do what they do best curry was getting roasted disrespected people were saying that he was not the same curry that he was laying katie down that he can't carry a team by himself and like bogut said he'll check his mentions at halftime when he has a bad half it's the craziest i ever saw yeah steph if he had a bad half he would go on social media and then come out and drop 30 in the second half and uh steph did drop 30. 33 points to be exact in the second half he had 23 points in the fourth quarter including eight points in a minute and a half to put the warriors ahead for good curry created his own shots without kd he was doubled and still made over them he was clutch just everything that he apparently was not the warriors would win the series and curry would go on to destroy trailblazers nba fans definitely learned their lessons about judging curry too soon it shouldn't be a twitter man they say trigger fingers curry's first few years in the league were rough not because he was bad no out of the gate curry was averaging 17.5 points per game 5.9 assists shooting 43.7 from three he almost averaged 50 40 90 in his second season but unfortunately curry's ankles were as fragile as glass that's actually what was being said about him his ankles were just twisting randomly and he got surgery after his second season to clean ankle debris but in 2011 2012 curry could barely stay on the court and had to get his second ankle surgery despite having a solid rookie season and second season showing a lot of promise there were trade rumors that the warriors would trade curry and move in a different direction there was even a possible trainer works that would have curry and clay traded for chris paul curry on the hornets what a what a timeline montales was supposed to be a direction the warriors were going to go with but they couldn't agree to any trade involving steph and when that happened they decided to trade monte to the bucks curry signed an extension with the warriors while rehabbing from his second surgery that extension was a four year 44 million dollar deal the rest of the nba had mixed reactions some thought that was way too much for a guy that couldn't be on the court some thought it was pretty fair he wasn't a star franchises were built around small point guards derek roast was the exception and before that it was isaiah thomas in the 90s and the warriors weren't supposed to be good they had just finished 23 and 43 curry heard the talk and he made sure he was gonna break out he put an insane amount of time reworking his mechanics to not re-injure his ankles and worked on his core strength to make him a bit more serviceable defensively in the 2012-2013 season the warriors would finish 47 and 35 curry would break out he would play in 78 games averaging 38 minutes a game what not only that he would average 23.7 assists was an all-star snub and got the warriors to the second round where he was one of the best players in the playoffs and just like that curry was worth more than the contract more than just the glass ankles all those people thought curry was overpriced yeah yeah they hilarious that disrespect didn't stop in the nba even after curry had just averaged 23 and seven shooting 45 from the three even when his ankles were good nike had a chance to sign curry after the 2012-2013 season after the warriors had made the second round in the playoffs after curry was beginning to play like an all-star he was already a nike athlete but in their pitch meeting they started by pronouncing stefan's name as steph on stefan curry you know what i'm saying what ha i in one of their slides they had left kevin durant's name in there meaning they just copy and pasted it like it was a school project and forgot to even change the name they fumbled the bag yeah they had their b team for this one not even having lynn merritt the main dude for broken deals with athletes at the meeting they wouldn't even give staff his own camp which he wanted so he could teach a younger generation they gave kyrea kim anthony davis camp but not steph you see nike wasn't sure if steph would really have popularity that would sell shoes and so steph left and went with under armour and um curry had more sales than lebron kd all the nike athletes he became the most popular athlete in the world his jersey was the most sold for three consecutive years in 2016 steph was worth 14 billion dollars to under armour yeah that's different in the 2013 fortune season curry became a first time all-star nike even had a chance to match under armour's offer but they didn't he immediately proved nike wrong and that's what he wanted to do because at that point he had been used to being overlooked and so under armour actually valued him his dad del curry said that after they said stefan that meeting was over and now curry has his own brand with under armour going back a few years there were a lot of people who said the warriors got lucky for winning their championship in 2015. doc rivers said that the warriors got lucky because they played the spurs or the clippers there was also harden saying that he deserved to win mvp pretty much everyone just was hating on the warriors and curry would eventually respond saying i want to just say i apologize for us being healthy i apologize for us playing who was in front of us i apologize for all the accolades we received as a team and individually we will rectify a situation this year well they they rectified it yet they rectified it for sure i am having a very bad day curry's mvp numbers in the 2014-15 season were fringe and borderline for an mvp but the warriors were the best team in basketball and he was the best player on the best team doc rivers said this 12 days before the season started and then the 2015-16 season began and well yeah curry had 40 opening night then 53 in the third game the warriors started the season winning their first 24 games look huh this would be the season that curry would win unanimous mvp the warriors would go 73-9 demolish the clippers over and over it was a massacre every time they played he played i'm not sure if curry was pissed off but everything's motivation to him so i'm not surprised if he used dad's motivation too the most recent example was this season on january 3rd you know when everyone magically just forgot about curry being unanimous mvp oh yeah that curry that's apparently washed couldn't lead the warriors to playoffs that dame is better this season hmm the warriors were 2 and 3 up till that point had just lost by almost 40 against the trailblazers on january 1st and of course nba twitter you know they did their thing and curry came in on january 3rd after hearing all the noise charged up after game he said cue the jordan meme that's all i needed for him to do that and it became personal with me what he did during this game dropped 62 points yeah he had 21 in the first quarter every type of shot handles just curry being curry and against lakers he pulled out the curry sign in real life hit this clutch shot over anthony davis from deep he's on a mission curry's been listening and he wants to respond to all the criticisms he leads leak until points and now we have the obligatory curry's back tweets comments but he really never left he was injured last season and he's been capable of this for years we've seen it for years but you all forgot right shout out to my boy armond thanks for the all day support probably streaming tonight on twitch and who's winning mvp this
