Hello everyone, today we're going to discover 5 things to do after finishing Baldur's Gate 3. Don't worry, the video is guaranteed without spoilers. First, get into the paper RPG. Baldur's Gate 3 is based on the rules of the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game and is a very good start in the universe. If you liked your adventure, you can then extend it with your friends around a table. I would therefore advise you if you are new to RPG tabletop game to start with the initiation box "The Dragons of the Island of Storms" to familiarize yourself with this new play mode. If you are already an adept of the hobby, you can directly go to the basic triptychs containing the player's manual, the master's guide and the monster's manual. Know that you can also discover the events taking place at Baldur's Gate city before Baldur's Gate 3 by playing the campaign "Descent into Avernus". Finally, you can find different podcasts on the channel to help you discover the role-playing game and especially Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. So don't hesitate to take the step of this hobby which is extraordinary. Secondly, dive into the old episodes. As its name suggests, Baldur's Gate 3 is the third episode of a series started in 1998 and which made a revolution in the world of video games RPG. It will be quickly followed by a second episode in 2000 which will also be a huge success. These two games use the rules of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, an advanced version of the rules of the first edition. You should know that these rules are very different from what you could use in Baldur's Gate 3. It will therefore be necessary to learn a whole system even if some aspects may remain close or seem familiar to you. Remastered versions, "Enhanced Edition" exist to allow you to play on different platforms such as the PlayStation, the Nintendo Switch, the PC or even on mobile Android and iOS. Finally, if you find Baldur's Gate 3 difficult, know that the first two episodes are even more so. So if you're getting into the adventure, don't hesitate to abuse the quick save and loading functions. Thirdly, travel on the Sword Coast with Neverwinter Nights. If you want to deepen the history of the Sword Coast, in this case the Neverwinter Nights series is made for you. Released in 2002 for the first episode and 2006 for the second, the story offers you to discover the city of Neverwinter which is suffering from a strange epidemic that is plaguing its people and decimating everything. These games use the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition, closer to the 5th used in Baldur's Gate 3. You can also find in the channel's podcasts the presentation of the rules of the 5th edition and the differences with the 3rd edition. In addition, the game is entirely in 3D and offers a fairly innovative multiplayer system for the time. Like the first Baldur's Gate, remastered versions of "Enhanced Edition" exist to allow you to play on different platforms like Playstation, Nintendo Switch, PC or even mobile, Android and iOS. These games are extremely difficult, so I'm sensitive to abstaining. Fourthly, discover Solasta Crown of the Magister. Solasta was for me the perfect RPG in the wait of Baldur's Gate 3. It takes up the rules of the 5th edition by relying on its SRD, System Reference Documents, a game rule that can be used to create content, which is therefore open source and free to use. Released in 2021 following a beautiful crowdfunding campaign, Solasta will plunge you into the skin of a group of adventurers finding a strange crown that will totally change their destiny. The game is graphically less impressive than Baldur's Gate 3, but the game system is closer to tabletop D&D. In addition, the new stuffs offered in terms of specializations or spells are very interesting. The dialogues are a laugh, especially since you can choose the answers of the different members of your group. If you liked your adventure in Baldur's Gate 3 and want to discover another universe but keeping the same rules, Solasta is the ONE you need. And finally, restart the game. Baldur's Gate 3 offers so many choices and possibilities that you can simply restart a new campaign. Indeed, depending on what you have chosen, you will be able to discover whole parts of the game that you did not even suspect. I personally restarted the game several times and each time I discovered things that I would not have imagined. Only Act 1 is full of secrets and I will not tell you more so as not to spoil you. Of course, the background will always be the same as well as some events, but you will have the pleasure of having exclusive hours of play and why not, a totally different end of your first campaign. So do not hesitate to get started in this new game. And that's it, you now know what to do after finishing the magnificent Baldur's Gate 3. Do not hesitate to tell me in the comments if one of the nuggets that I offer you, you liked or if you already knew them. Now you have no more excuses and you know what to do to make up for the lack of Baldur's Gate.
