having come to the decision on Eric tenh hard's future Manchester United need to start strengthening their squad to give the Dutchman a fair chance so today we're going to be looking at five players that Manchester United should sign in the summer transfer window get into the comments below all your suggestions but anyway let's get this party started left back is a position that Manchester United need a reliable option in a player that fits that bill but also offers something different in the final third is Ryan 8 Nori a technical Wing back Ryan 8 Nori is unique when compared to Manchester United's fullbacks whil he's thrived in an offensive Wing back role eight Nori also has experience playing in a back four with impressive defensive awareness and application for such an attack-minded player whats more 's good week of foot has seen him get minutes on the right too a decent Defender 8 Nori can get out muscle but his speed and tenacity gives him the ability to recover well but where the Algerian is at his best is in possession agile and pacy with quick feet and good close control eight dribbles more like a Winger than a Defender this attack-minded quality has seen him get minutes as a forward for wolves under Gary O'Neal dangerous when going on the outside aori is able to follow up a take on with good delivery from all kinds of crosses but if the space opens up the Algerian will also carry on the inside of Defenders creating dangerous attacking situations so let's take a look at a few examples as mentioned Ryan 8 Nori is a very good dribbler in fact he ranks in the top 2% of full backs for successful dribbles per 90 but there are a lot of examples that showcase eight nur's impressive delivery too meanwhile this example against Liverpool where he completely sold Trent Alexander Arnold shows his composure getting his head up and finding Matas K in the Box who should finish Ryan 8 Nori for Manchester United would very much play at left back but could also be an option on the left wing if United decides to play a center back in that left back position and build with a back three he's an attacking weapon that can become a very complete fullback from his move from AER to wolves has been real development in his game he's added that ability on the dribble he's added the likes of the roule the cetta those skills but when he's carrying the ball he's a little bit like an old school Winger he'll take a touch to arguably draw the opposition's defender in and then explode on the outside to progress the football with a carry in terms of his skill set he differs for what Manchester United have he's different from Luke Shaw he's different from massia and he's very different from Dogo Doo playing that position in terms of why it would benefit Manchester United is because as Manchester United do build and play through arguably the best thing for their left wing it is to move inside into that inside Left Channel so naturally an attacking fullback on the left wing or a left wing back would allow United to really build on that side the likes of Marcus rashford or Alejandro gono are kind of good in those positions they're good at playing on twos with the center forward they're very good at getting shots away we saw rashford play his best football under æ very much in that role in fact fact that Manchester United under ten hog especially playing as a two-man strike force that inside left channel was where rashford did really well but in terms of a Nori what I've liked about his development you know he's a player that we said man united should buy in 2020 from AER before he moved to Wolves at that point he reminded me a bit of kyl Walker had the pace but was very technically gifted player now he's added a lot to his game we mentioned the tricks the skills the ability to beat a Man 1 V one but he's massively developed that right foot we're looking at through balls behind the opposition's defense we're looking at chopping back from that left hand side and Crossing with his right foot 8 Nori has really worked on one of his weaknesses that's become a strength now you know it's given him that duality in the final third hence why I think he could become a complete Wing back in the future and Eric tenh har will be able to harness and nurture that technical ability which will allow a Nur to also play the other role that Manchester United's uh fullbacks have to do that's of course tucking inside allowing the N nominal Winger ahead of them to stay wide eight norri has really shown that ability to play in those in ins side channels which could allow Manchester United again to throw their eights forward and play with a six with eight Nori inside He's Got The Touch he's got the work rate he's got the ability on the ball to receive and then play you know a number of different passes as we mentioned his ability on his right foot now could open up on his left hand side and hit that eight eight Nori has that potential to do that the other thing that United crucially need in this left back is endurance under Gary O'Neal eight Nori played his first season of over 2,000 League minutes for a young player coming up that's starting to look like very promising sides that would allow Manchester United to not only have a player that can play week in week out but it's got the durability to play a full season without being injured allowing the team to really evolve being eight nurri on the inside as we mentioned before eight NRI operating on that kind of wide area if he moves the ball you know inside the eight drops in rashford or gacho tucks inside he can provide that width in the final third 8 nor is an absolute tapping of a signing and a player that really really progressed in the Premier League last season the next position that needs serious attention is Center back realistically Leandra Martinez and Willie Cala are only the two players that have a serious long-term future at Manchester United so signings are needed Usman dimande from sporting would be perfect Usman deande is the latest modern breed of Center back strong and physically imposing but with very good recovery pace dimande is also very comfortable on the ball which is emphasized by his high levels of composure and technical skills at 20 years dimande has played in every Center back position in both a back three setup like he does at Club level for sporting as well as in a back four International level for the Ivory Coast in possession dimande is a very composed player when he has got the ball at his feet often carrying or holding onto the ball to create Progressive passing angles to teammates in terms of passing diamand is strong over short to medium distances but can struggle to hit longer lofted balls with both power and accuracy that being said dim mandz already a good ball playing Defender there are a lot of examples that showcase Usman diamand's ability on the ball his assist against brager not only shows his composure but ability to draw pressure before finding a good weight of pass to find Pedro gon cavez in between the lines defensively diamand's recovery pace is pretty apparent when you watch him not only has he got the ability to defend the space in behind the defense but he's happy to track forwards into the wide areas and win the ball back key skills for a modern day Center half dimande would come into at ten Hog's Manchester United as a right center half currently applying his trade in Portugal for sporting operates as a right center back in a back three in terms of sporting setup in asio is a little bit more of the progressive option he's the one that plays a little bit more expansive passes that's not to say dimande isn't Progressive and doesn't have that ability as we've previously seen to play difficult passes you know such as those kind of clip balls over the top looking for the striker into the channel or simply recycling play to the central midfielder ahead and the wing back to his left but he's also got that ability to really carry the ball out and pause at the right moment he's a perfect possession player in the final third and will retain the ball a lot more than his partner of course for Manchester United that is lezandra Martinez probably one of the most Progressive left center backs in the world of football that relationship between dimande being more of the retainer and Martinez being more of that player that's going to find the passes into the feet of the forwards and so forth could work really well for Manchester United but not only that the partnership could work well off the ball with Manchester United under Eric tag they do eventually want both center backs to step into Midfield Martinez of course can do it we've seen him do at aax we've seen it do at Manchester United you know simply chasing the opposition Striker into Center Midfield and winning the ball back diamand got a similar ability but the difference with the two players is you'd say Leandro is that kind of faster player a little bit you know the the agility the speed is going to win the ball back whereas dimande when he's sort of facing an attacker will kind of slow them down he's a player that will wants to get into a duel cuz then he can use his strength and ability to win it back to knock the opponent off the ball or simply force them to play back allowing Eric tenar to play higher up the pitch something that we've all really wanted to see for a long time and dande has of course that pace on the cover to get back you know similarly with his strength and his power it allows him to knock the opponent off the ball and win it we've seen that many times for Sporting Lisbon in terms of the aerial side as well playing with martinez you want someone that is super dominant in the air in fact if we take dimand aerial jeel win rate from Portugal and put that into Europe top five leagues for players under 23 he would rank fourth in Europe his ability to win aial DWS is very very good one thing I'd probably like to see him improve on is maybe sometimes uh when there's a long ball out the bat from the opponent it's kind of timing that properly but a young player 20 years old there is big room for improvement you know he reminds me of someone it reminds me a little bit of canate at leig a player that was super dominant super physical would bully the opposition Striker and that's something that DM mande could do for Manchester United not only that is I quite like his ability as we previously saw playing those through balls with Manchester United next season we could see a number of diff different iterations of their buildup shape one thing I'd like to see a lot more is the right winger be it gacho be it Amad Dio tucking inside and operating in that kind of inside position allowing space for the wing back to attack in the final third and we've seen the the kind of the timing that Dand has with the right wing back at Sporting Lisbon where he waits the right moment plays the pass inside the opposition's defender in that kind of Channel between the fullback and the center back to Spring that full back in behind imagine Doo Delow in those positions he created a lot of chances that should have been scored last season probably could have finished with six seven eight assists but having that more frequently a DM and they finding the through ball to Dogo theone behind is something I would love to see one Center back signing is a must this summer but two would be smart Manchester United should seriously consider their interest in Jared brane Jared brane is a physically imposing Center back standing at just over 6 fo five branway is a strong aerial Defender but is surprisingly agile and quick for a defender of his size a proactive Defender branway is very happy to step out of Defense to make tackles on the opposition forwards confident that his Pace will help him recover quickly if he misjudges a situation however bram's mobility and large frame combined with a good reading of the game saw him make the second most tackles plus interceptions in the 2324 Premier League on the ball Bram fight hasn't had a lot of opportunities to Showcase his talents under sha daa Everton but his composure and calmness under pressure as well as a lone spelled to PSV einhoven in the 2223 season suggests that he can improve in this area for Everton there aren't many examples that showcases passing potential but there are countless examples of showing his defensive ability from stepping into Midfield against Nottingham Forest to defending against Matas Nunes in the fullback area area branway is a tough Defender to beat what's more is that he times his slide tackle superbly which improves his ability to recover in terms of the hierarchy of course Leandra Martinez would probably be number one from that left Center back position but that's not saying that both of them could play together you thinking Manchester United need a long-term solution at left back and as much as we looked at eight nor as that attacking option I think Leandra Martinez would be a top quality left back if you want us to make a video on why Alandra Martinez would be a good left back for Manch United get into the comments below and comment Lea anyway back to jarro brane brane is a player that's really impressed uh for a defensive Everton side when you do look at his numbers he doesn't rank too well for Progressive passes total passes and passes into the final third although we did see it PSV einhoven that he has the ability on the ball that's part of his game that he will have to evolve so even with lizandro either playing at the left back position you know United kind of building with a back three we see loads of modern teams do that as we mentioned previously as well throwing that right back forward um you know the right center back into a sort of fullback position bamwe in the middle as the kind of stopper Defender and then brane simply Distributing the ball to his left to his right would be a good way for him to develop that possession game of course him playing line Breakers into the number 10 is something that he would have to develop but that buildup structure with a three uh you know potentially as well having the number 10 you know moving a little bit to the inside left position would be perfect for United it would allow them to have certain answers against certain teams you know some days Manchester United could build with a three with Martinez on the left hand side and maybe a de Mandy on the right hand side with branway in the middle other times we potentially could also see Martinez and branway operating kind of as a two in there you know you're thinking from that position you got two left Footers at Center half you know we've seen many teams play two right Footers at Center half with Martinez's ability as well he could probably do a job at right center back he's a Defender that can defend both sides that can play with both feet I don't think that'd be problem to signing someone like Jared brano would be really good and here's why firstly he's a defensive Rock the United could build their team around being young and being English and having a lot of his career ahead of him is massive he also has had not many muscle injuries so far again something good for Manchester United there've been too many muscle injuries they need to start buying players that maybe are a little bit more durable and Jer brandway could do that and defensively you looking at the statistics he's absolutely dominant bran won 77% of his defensive jewels in in the Premier League last season that would be first amongst Manchester United's Squad also in terms of volume only Leandra Martinez managed more Jewels than Jared branth weight on top of that one of branth weight's biggest skills for me is defending those kind of flanks something that a modern-day Defender needs to be very very comfortable at doing you know something that RI Ferdinand was renowned for in his career is defending the wide area when the opposition is drop the ball into the channel branway is very very good in these areas not only does he has the have the sign he's got the pace on the cover and he also takes Little Steps he's always in a good body position usually showing the opposition uh down the defensive line uh to then get across um and make a challenge or make a block and in fact looking at the statistics for the number of tackles that he's won against dribblers he's won 73% of those this season he's the only Center back in the top 20 players that has that good a win rate but also has challenged over a 100 dribblers in the Premier League that is great volume showing his ability to really defend the flank an asset for Manchester United you know the fullbacks in the modern day they play inside they play high and wide they play in different positions branway is absolutely perfect in that role he's learned the defensive side of the game from Shawn daa Everton he's learned about positional play and possession play Under Ruan nistroy at PV einhoven and potentially at Manchester United Eric tenh har can turn him into one of the best defenders in the world with the defense strengthened significantly defensive Midfield is the next area that needs an upgrade and youf would be a cheap but very effective signing Yousef haana is a multi-dimensional midfielder when deployed as an eight he very chaotic looking to buzz around the pitch making tackles and challenges however as a number six he's extremely calm and composed controlling the tempo and almost walking around the pitch Yousef f is a player that gets better the more you watch he's a disciplined Defender and this style can hamper his own defensive volume but it benefits the team from defensive Midfield fana can dictate the tempo with short passing but if the opportunity arises he can showcase his strong ball carrying skills as well as his vision and execution that only seems to get better and better when passing the football for Manchester United fana could either play as a number eight or more importantly a number six this is the role that United should sign him for a player that's very good on the first phase good in the defensive transition and a powerful powerful Defender similar to someone like a DI mande if fana can get close to you it's very difficult for you to escape as as we mentioned previously that 65% defensive dual win rate is absolutely Elite from a midfielder but more importantly why someone like fana really sh of shines for me in European football is his ability on that first phase when we talk first phase possession we're talking maybe playing out from the back playing out from goalkeeper United really struggle in this area teams press Manchester United high with like a brenford or a Brighton and they just simply can't play through with fana what I like about him not only has he got that ability to drop him between the center backs a drop to the left of the center backs but he's very calm in that number six position that if for example the goalkeeper plays into his feet or one of the center backs plays into his feet he'll simply drop it off he'll then receive Again Play maybe a little pass with the number eight receive again he's that kind of metronome player that's very good on the first phase you think the opposition their players that are pressing are usually going to be their attacking players if you've move them round two or three times you're going to then break through that first defensive line and we know the danger that Manchester United can create when they get the ball into those kind of faux counterattacking situations you know when they can move it to one of the Wingers the number 10 Bruno Fernandez or even Rasmus hland in the channels that is where the danger starts so f is this kind of first phase player to kind of break through drop the little onws popping it around receiving to feet but doing it in a very very calm manner would allow United to break teams down that are pressing them high which is so so important in the modern day the other big benefit of fana in C mid field for Manchester United is it adds a bit of strength adds a bit of aggression in there United need to be a little bit more Premier League in terms of their setup at the moment got quite a few players that are very good ball players that can break lines with carries and so forth but having someone like fana that's got that real physicality to bully the opposition will only help Manchester United when they're coming up against physical teams all teams as we mentioned that looking to press them out on the back allowing him to have a player in central Midfield just sit and control and at 25 million quid that is an absolute bargain f for me is a TA in this summer and finally Manchester United need reinforcements up front so holand isn't the only senior striker in the squad and a player that not only could play with Rasmus hland but also lead the line by himself and offer a different option would be Joshua xery a very unique sense of forward Joshua xery is one of the best technicians in his position not quite a false nine but not quite a deep line forward xery is somewhere in between very good at dropping off into space in between the lines to receive passes defeat xery creates a great link between Midfield and attack he's a great ball manipulator who can easily deceive Defenders with body faints or a clever first touch and this is a Hallmark of his game in the final third xery is less of a goal scorer more of a crater but when he does get into the box he likes to use his technical dribbling to open up a bit of space and get shots away there's a lot of examples of Joshua xeri completely selling sria Defenders with exceptional technical skills but he's not just about that he's got the awareness and passing ability to find his teammates his goal against latio is a great example of xery's ability to connect the Midfield to the attack dropping off the line and being an option into feat but his goals against Torino and saso showcase his ability to spin in if the space is available not to mention his composure when finishing and finally Joshua xery where would he fit in at Manchester United as a number nine or number 10 or even on the left wing Joshua xery's skill set very much is that Center forward that loves receiving the ball to feet you know that kind of nine and a half player that Robin van persy that Wayne Rudy kind of like a classic man united forward when you think about it a player that comes off the line receives defeat allowing the Wingers to spin in behind or operate wide in those areas but also for Manchester United not only does it give you know the Midfield but also the defense an option into feet it kind of creates that double uh you know false nine setup that we see from the likes of Aston Villa with their two wide midfielders moving inside or even Brighton with two Strikers dropping off that partnership between Bruno Fernandez and xery would see United retain the ball you thinking they're going from you know just having one number 10 that could be easily picked up to having kind of you know four players in that central zone would really help United's possession play and going forward and I think the other real benefit of signing someone like Joshua xery considering his age and that he's got a lot of development ahead of him he very much could play with Rasmus hland you think in longterm Manchester United uh potentially could play with the front to dependent on where football's kind of going but having xery as that number 10 sitting behind Rasmus holand would work really well not only have got a player that can receive those passes into feet and and get himself turned or go on aazy dribble as we've seen xery do but also you got a nine that can run the channels again something that we've looked at is the strength of Rasmus holand play him in those channels he's so dangerous because of his speed but also his dribbling is so unique for a center forward having two nines that can carry that can dribble that can spin in really would help United in a sense and it would allow them potentially to play weaker teams maybe even with a Bruno Fernandez deep in central Midfield like we've seen him with for Portugal allowing United to play two nines two Wingers a little bit more traditional that classic Ferguson 442 with a Rooney and a TZ or a Rooney and a Ron Van persy xery would allow that but also considering his age and kind of how he's developed so far we could even see Joshua xery maybe play wide you know thinking that he could do a job on the left wing you know as a player that's more of a inside forward a player that's going to look to kind of get into that Central Area you know move from the wide area check himself inside sit in that channel allow the fullback to come on the outside but very much be a a ball player into his feet link with the outside Winger but also getting the ball back then going on a dribble could see a very dangerous front line United could get a lot of dangerous attackers in there and available at 34 million United need to get this done 23 years old back potential has a different skill set to Rasmus hland makes a lot of sense guys but anyway guys what do you think when we usually make these videos we expect United to maybe sign one two three of the players but if United is serious they need to go out there and sign all five of these players whilst getting rid of the Deadwood get into the comments below what you think who should be the priority signing for Manchester United I've been St man day subscribe if you're new we'll see you later thanks for watching if you've enjoyed this video why not check
