in this video I will show you five seamless transitions that you can do with your very own 360 camera these transitions are super easy to create and will take your videos to the next level [Music] so the first transition is the rotation bring two clips into insta360 Studio [Music] trim them accordingly and add some reframe movement now let's start making the transition make a keyframe about one to two seconds from the end of your clip then go to the very end of your clip and make another keyframe the closer together the keyframes the faster the transition will be likewise the further away the keyframes the slower the transition will be on the second keyframe change the rotation angle to 180 degrees then click the line in between your keyframes and set the keyframe transition to fade in slip out now we will export this clip and move on to the second one just like the first trim it accordingly and reframe it next make a keyframe at the start of the clip set the rotation angle to 180 degrees make another keyframe about one to two seconds later and change the second keyframe's rotation to 360 degrees try to space out these keyframes the same distance as the first clip otherwise the timing will be off and the transition will not be very smooth the final step is to set the keyframe transition to slip in Fade Out here's a quick tip you can switch back and forth between the two clips to see if the rotation speed is the same foreign if they aren't you can simply move the second keyframe either closer or farther from the first keyframe until the speeds match now you can reframe your clip as you choose and Export it with our two exported Clips we can now splice them together in an editing software I use DaVinci Resolve but any software will work all you need to do here is place the two clips next to each other and there you go you have your rotation transition [Music] the next idea is the whip transition this transition is super easy to make and can be done in all four directions up down left and right I'm not going to go quite as in depth for this one because it has almost the exact same steps as the rotate transition bring two clips into insta360 Studio go to the end of the first clip and make two keyframes just like in the rotate transition however instead of rotating the second one change the pan or tilt in this example I change the pan so that the camera looks in the opposite direction lastly set the keyframe transition to fade in slip out [Music] foreign go to your second clip and make two keyframes change the first one so that it is looking in the opposite direction you actually want to face then change the second one to face the correct direction lastly change the keyframe transition to slip in Fade Out go back to your first clip to make sure it is panning in the correct direction [Music] and adjust the keyframe so that the transition speed is consistent between the two clips finally you can export it and put the two clips next to each other in your editing software the next transition is the sky transition this transition is similar to the width transition but is slightly slower and uses the sky to transition between the two clips in order to make this transition you will need two shots with a similar Sky color I recommend that you either use the completely overcast or completely Blue Sky make a keyframe a few seconds from the end of your clip and then make another at the end then change the view of the second keyframe to face the sky and set the rotation angle to 90 degrees you may need to adjust it so that the sky fits the whole frame lastly change the keyframe transition to fade in flip out go to your second clip and place your subject in the center of your screen change your first keyframe to face the sky and set the rotation to negative 90 degrees again make sure the sky fits the whole frame in this example I zoom in a little [Music] make your next keyframe about two to three seconds later and set the rotation back to zero then change the view to look down again in this example I also zoom out a little bit change the keyframe transition slip in Fade Out switch back and forth between your two clips to make sure the speed is consistent between them and then export it when you're ready then just place them next to each other in your desired editing software here is a bonus tip to make this transition even cooler you can add a short fade transition between the two clips this helps soften the hard cut and make the transition more seamless in this example I use a five frame fade and you can't even see the cut anymore [Music] the next idea is the zoom in transition take two clips and bring them into insta360 Studio the camera movement should be forward in both of them in your first clip make two keyframes at the end of the video the first should have a normal field of view and the second should be zoomed in in this case I change the field of view from 110 to 80. lastly change the keyframe transition to fade in slip out and move the keyframes on the timeline to adjust the speed for the second clip set the keyframe to a wide field of view and the next one to a narrower field of view in this case I use 140 and 110. set the keyframe transition to slip in Fade Out and adjust the speed of the transition once again I personally think the zoom transition is not so good on its own I mostly use the zoom in transition in combination with other effects in this example I added a zoom in as well as a slight rotation to make the transition even cooler the final transition is the match cut to make this transition you will need two clips with a similar action and camera movement in this example I use two follow cam clips with my subjects in different locations place your subject in the center of the frame like this then go to your next clip and do the same thing switch back and forth between the two clips to make sure that the subject is in the exact same location you may need to adjust the pan tilt Zoom or even rotation to do this once you're satisfied you're done this transition can be kinda Bland on its own so I like to combine it with other effects to make it cooler here are a few ideas add rotations and match the speed between the two different clips like this or in this example I had a Luma fade effect I hope you learned something in this video and give some of these transitions a try these are all the simple transitions that I use in my videos if you want me to make a tutorial on some of the more advanced ones like this just let me know in the comments below [Music] foreign
