Hi guys, I hope you're doing well. And I also hope that you realize how tough the job market scenario is in 2024. If you need a job, make sure you've specialized skills. Because finding jobs without them is very difficult right now. What are these specialized skills; you need to acquire? And how to acquire them? You will find the answer to that in this video. These skills are not randomly chosen. I found them after reading the India Skills Report 2024. This report has been created by Wheebox in partnership with AICTE and Google. In simple words, it's a highly reputed and credible report spanning 147 pages. After thoroughly reading it, I've identified top 5 skills as well as how to learn them. Talking about those top 5 skills, the first is 'Data Analysis'. Within this, there are 5 specific tools you need to learn. I'm listing their names here: Python, R programming, SQL, Hadoop, and Spark. Before moving forward, let me clarify that I don't have a tech background. In fact, I come from a commerce background and have completed my MBA. So, if I make any mistakes while explaining something related to tech, you can correct me in the comments of this video. The demand for data analysis and data science has increased so much in the market that according to report by LinkedIn, it was mentioned that the data analyst is going to be one of those jobs in the future with the highest hiring. So, where can one learn these skills? I've found 3 courses that cover all 5 of these aspects. The first course is IBM's specialization called the IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate. The second one is also a professional certification called IBM Data Analyst with Excel and R. And the third course is on the Udemy platform. Its name is "Spark, SQL and Hadoop." Out of these, the third course is paid, priced around Rs. 499/- while the first two courses can be audited for free. If you don't have a background in data analysis, then I would recommend starting with the first one. It doesn't require any computer science background. It will start from the very basics. Let's move towards our second skill, named 'Project Management', especially in the field of AI. Project management is one of those fields where an 18% growth rate has been observed, especially for those with a non-technical background such as MBA graduates, for them, this field will become very interesting in the future because as AI emerges, it will become very very difficult to manage complex projects with AI. So you will need to learn a lot of things, like how to gather resources, coordinate with teams and assess risks. To learn all these things, we will pursue a course. And along with that, I will recommend you a tool which will help you learn easily. The course is quite reputable. You can find it on the Coursera platform. It's Google's Project Management Certification. Through this entire course, you will learn everything about project management from A to Z. In fact, I have selected it because it also includes a 'Capstone' project at the end. Project management is a skill that you cannot learn without practicing. Theoretical knowledge alone is not sufficient. So I would recommend you a tool; It is called 'Odoo'. In Odoo, there is a project app. Go to the Odoo website, click on the project app, and you can see that this first app is free forever. We'll click on 'New Project' here. You can give any name you want, for example, 'Your Weekly To-Do List.' After that, you add stages like 'Yet to Begin,' 'Ongoing,' and 'Completed'. Let's start adding tasks now. For example, grocery shopping, studying, assignments, meetings, etc. You can also give these tasks a deadline. For example, I want to be done with my assignments in the next three days. As you can see here, it says 'in 3 days' to indicate by when this task needs to be completed. You can add time sheets; this option is in settings. You can assign the number of hours you want to dedicate to a particular task. Let's say I want to allocate 15 hours for studying this week. Then, as soon as you start that task, you can move it from 'Yet to Begin' to 'Ongoing' stage, and even change its color code by altering the status. Then you can also lock your time, for example, on this day, I spent 4 hours studying. As I keep recording like this, I'll be able to see how much time I've spent compared to the estimated time, so I can track where my time is going. This way, you can manage several projects, such as your study hours or work-related tasks, finance, freelancing, etc. So what will happen is that you can monitor any one project closely. This will teach you basic skill of project management that you can further utilize in handling complex projects. The third skill we'll discuss is AI Ethics and Bias. Basically, what's happening is that as AI is emerging, there are many laws and ethical considerations regarding how to use it, many developments are happening in this regard. So, if you get to learn this skill, it's been seeing remarkable growth in the industry, almost a 20% growth rate. After learning this skill, the basic thing that you'll get, which others might not have, will be digital fluency, meaning how you can use AI ethically. There are many tools available for this, such as courses, guidelines, case studies. In fact, I want to share something with you that you might not know which is that the Government of India has its own national portal for AI. In this, you will find all the initiatives by the Government of India related to AI, or any latest updates coming in the industry, everything will be available here. In fact, I would recommend that you check out its resources section. There you will find case studies and learning activities. If you delve into learning, they have recommended quite a few courses that you can take. But I would recommend you the last resource, which is this course from the University of Helsinki. When you click on it, they will redirect you to a very, very simple website where you don't need to login or do anything, everything is in text form. I found this website very good because they have explained AI basics, ethics, everything very well step by step inside it. In fact, they have tried to explain in such a simple form, using pictures and diagrams, so that even if you are from a non-tech background, you can still learn these things. The fourth skill I'll talk about is Cyber Security. I mentioned it in a previous video as well because cyber attacks have increased significantly. It is important for every single person to know how to keep themselves secure online, but even more so if you want to enter this field, there are remarkable job opportunities. For this, the professional certification you can pursue is being offered by Microsoft. It will help you in becoming a cyber security analyst, and you can also do it through the Coursera website. In the previous video I made, I recommended a quite basic course. But the courses I'm mentioning in this video will actually help you acquire high-paying jobs in those roles because these are all professional certifications. Along with that, I'll also provide you with a handbook. Suppose you want to learn the basics of cybersecurity. In that case, the Government of India has created a handbook for students. You can use it to protect yourself as well. If you think; your interest is growing in cybersecurity, in that case, you can pursue that Microsoft certification. Our final skill is that of communication. Let me tell you something very interesting. Globally, out of all the countries, India has the 2nd largest population of English speakers. But the problem is that our proficiency and fluency are not as good. So if tomorrow you go for any interview, want to enter any job which deals globally, which is the case nowadays with most organizations, you need to have a very solid command over English. Firstly, you can use this website from Cambridge. So for those who want to start with the basics, this website is good for them. Apart from that, I'll tell you about a technique called 'Choral Reading' or 'Imitation Technique'. If you want to practice English in an Indian accent, in that case, there is a channel called English Speeches. In its playlist section, there are many speeches given that Indians have delivered in English. For example, there is a speech by Priyanka Chopra. The best part of this speech is that they add very large subtitles. How can you use imitation technique in this? You listen to one line, press pause, repeat the same, then listen again, pause again. There are almost 80 videos like this in this playlist. And if you practice even one video every day, your English fluency will improve significantly. In addition to this, I was also planning to make a proper video on communication. So I will surely make it in the next month. But I hope that you find this video helpful. That you gain some skills to learn. If you want more videos like these on skills or jobs, please do leave a comment. So that I can receive feedback. And you can subscribe to the channel for more. Thank you so much for watching this video, guys. And see you the next time.
