uh Copenhagen comes we Copenhagen came uh top of every list second to New York we're here now those that know food will know that Copenhagen is famous for its Michelin star restaurants and the overspill of that means that there's some very talented chefs that worked in some Elite high-end kitchens are now doing bakeries Burgers popups street food and basically the Copenhagen food scene is electric gastronomic Powerhouse of the game now um we've just got off the plane got D the Explorer man's out here with our stuff let's go yeah and we've come straight to Juno the bakery you've heard we've heard everything about it we you spoke to Frederick Frederick and his beautiful dog Daisy hello if you're watching this um let's go in and get our first piece of Danish baked goods I've wa a long time to say that you smelling that we haven't even got in there yet and oh this is come on there's a Sweetness in the air that is the sweetest air I've ever Smart in my life bro that is incredible my mouth salivated the I wish we could do a smell ometer it it would be going off the charts right now it's like baked sugar and syrup and citrus it's romantic it's it's uh it's uh uplifting um and spiritual good Lord let's get in there Jesus Christ look they' got the flower there so you can see what they using Flor socer what was that me Flor socer Flor Flor M icing sugar by into E Yeah cheers everyone it's our first piece of baked goods from Copenhagen yes you know when you just don't know what to do other than laugh at it how good it is my God I love without question was going to come straight off the bat with this when he said when he laughed and said it's not on the scale it's 10 out of 10 it's a new scale he's so right you kind of understand that what he meant is it look at the delicate nature of the the folds the bread the tapestry of it's just a gentle crisp at the top and a gentle crisp at the bottom and then it's just like just fluffiness in pillow pillow it's like a pillow from from sries or something that's like eating something that Pavarotti has written himself look it has these semi sort of hard Parts but came was saying this side is just that's a 20 out of 10 that is a 20 out of 10 we've been here 4 minutes we just yeah blown my dick off I don't know how you I don't know how you're going to find a better bit of pastry than that the single nicest piece of what was that some was curbing the [ __ ] out of their wheels um they've just curbed the guts out of that um I can't put this into perspective how much better that is I spent a lot of time in bakeries as you can see in fact I feel like at points of my life bakeries adopted me and that is so far beyond anything we've ever seen it's like someone running 100 m in 4 seconds some sort of mutant RoboCop athlete I could sit here and eat four of these in a row and it's so sort of delicate that you don't even your mouth's not dry or nothing it's just so easy to eat should go back to the airport we just done it now we should we go on that might be the single best even I even put that into a box now of desserts like that category I just had that's the best thing I've ever had how have we done that first first place Juno is that the best baker in the world we're just eaten the best piece of baked goods in the world I think like that i' I'm speechless Copenhagen I wasn't expecting that what a start I know it's a bit unco to when you go away to review the mackys but I just love going to try the new different mackys cuz they there is so much variation we found that out when we went to Italy you had chicken wings combo boxes really cool stuff totally different they serve beer at the tap in Italy genuinely nice food not what we get in England at all so how was the Danish one brilliant what did you think fantastic how good was it I had the Gourmet one it was fantastic you had The Pinacle of the menu didn't you you one I went for a double big tasty if you want to yeah it's a petrol station the pumps are working so you can get a burger and fill up the car yeah what great if you watch you filling up your sure come on we have to do meal deals and all sorts of nonsense Jamie Oliver's terrible baits Goods at Shell we don't need to talk about that Jamie Oliver as well by the way I quite like J he just what he did for school dinners turkey Twizzlers man bring him back bring him back man so this is a live petrol station have you ever seen anything like this we're just looking at it like we at the Zoo look at it just studying it let's go and order some of these burgers and see if the hype is real you know the food scene here is thriving how do the burgers stack up yeah come on let's get so is the the The Benchmark there you go what what is the the best burger to have here the number one uh original burger original burger plus cheese original with cheese yeah yeah there we go is this the best it has to guess sauce gasoline sauce what's this their own it's their own sauce I think it is it's good let's do that is this the best burger in Copenhagen I would say so do you know paty and buns yes I'll would say this is sort of level with Pat and buns I'm favorite star I like the I actually prefer the really smash PES it just Vibes of me I love the texture it brings but for a chunkier smash Patty this is exceptional and the the bun is fantastic the goods inside are so fresh it's tasty it's like a homemade bad boy that is it it is a it is a homemade Bad Boy Burger person me I love a this kind of homemade you know it's like Gourmet they describe it as a a gourmet style burger yeah a little bit of fat but has the properties of a Smash Burger yeah no frills just quality the chips too look at these got that fat chunks of salt on there and uh you said you prefer crinkle chips didn't you absolutely they taste different I I won't hear any different they taste different these are fantastic chips he made an interesting observation these so they taste like a like a monster Munch well the Chip And the sauce together I'm telling you it tastes like got pigeon in between my legs though no fear oh there we go you got two birds between your legs it's not the first time um this gasoline sauce here is incredible it looks thick yes Vis viscous peppery Smoky bit Paprika in there it's like your classic burger sauce but it's wildly delicious very sweet too and the all the salt balances out in that Umami flavor with the burgers gasoline Grill No Frills I think you get lured in sometimes it's such a iconic location being in a gas station think oh it's instagrammable cool place to come and eat just have your photo taken we've done it today we had a picture it it's cool Vibe right big green neon lit up burger shop at a gas station gasoline Grill but it isn't an Instagram hype job food Stacks up it's really simple yet very effective yeah really glad of that would we recommend you come and try this one people absolutely I would yeah I'm telling you this sauce tastes like um Mexican chili Heatwave monst Munch you just fused two crisps there so you got chili Heat Wave Doritos and monster Munch he did didn't he is that what he did didn't he he did was that t doesn't know anything about crisps can't me you're smashing things together there brother that ain't even I'm you stumped him bro you totally stumped him your knowledge of mean they're really ni and then you've got Brewery here as well yeah exactly so beer especially we have the giant Brewer here in the back it's all through here so I would go for a beer I've been up since 3:00 this morning we flew here today so one beer might get me absolutely steaming be rude not to though wouldn't it yeah while for sure all right let's do should we do food first we'll come back couple like they look so good you smelling this it's unbelievable Tiny Chicken it's a callor it's a 35y old uh chicken 35y old H de old 35 was going to say is this the most anyone's ever ordered excuse me is this the most anyone's ever ordered for you want one two three yeah yeah [Music] probably we'll eat it that's the thing they're amazing the guy behind the was like I haven't tried the L let's try it together really so there we go wow brother we've just done a a RI review all of it was absolutely Sensational for me other than this beef rib which is lightly as you can see overdone for my taste but came out it with a pickle instead it brought it back to life a little bit a little bit Yeah the brisket I want a finger everything bro you going to have something but that is as moist and as tasty as you're ever going to eat in all your days look at that yeah bro and then this here look this this uh full rack of ribs we've got the sausage this sauce here just great commend them on the service too really really friendly very helpful accommodating when it came like you a bit of a back and forth of the bman yeah absolutely these l i mean look these L can't do more for you they walked us through all the products sources what was what the sauces they walked me through the beer settled on their logger that they actually just installed today brilliant place man actually quite a nice Vibe you can imagine here sort of around sort of 8 8:00 in the evening it's like pumping here isn't it loads of wicked spots good vibe interesting s it looks like an old sort of like we said like some sort of like manufacturing place or yeah Market style thing it fits this brand perfectly doesn't it yeah it does it does wow all right this is very very good barbecue food worth a visit is the hype legit absolutely it's a real cool iconic place where they carve up the meat for you they way it out how you want it order what you want how you want it it's great right um score for me on this one 8.6 really really good Shame about the beef rib beef rib is one of my favorites um you can see for yourself it's just just gone a bit too far bit too far but some person it's like a bit of a burnt end though it's kind of still kind of nice bit cheery delicious but a little too far for me like a jerky yeah it's still delicious though man there we have it bro but what a feast what a feast a a a Nordic Feast for Kings you smash through that boys you got to respect barbecue me man I ain't even touched n yet oh my god there a was Jesus there we go you got to respect barbecue meat hours and hours to get to this point bringing the meat alive um it was just once a week man he's happy look at him look the mac and cheese is definitely tasty yeah it's different type of all right Wicked I'm going to Chuck in let's go great news we got actually got insight as to what this uh facility was um the team so helpful didn't want to be on camera uh and rightly so I fully understood they were saying that this is a was a meat processing facility back in the day so this used to be the Slaughter ring here they've got a livestock place over there they hang on the meats in and around these buildings and this is the basically the facility where all the meat would come in from different areas and uh would get processed and distributed around mainly the pigs Danish bacon of course hugely famous um and Dan's looking left and right fi the Wasps there's a lot ofp are you okay bro uh I'm all right yeah I'm good I'm good I'm good um which is great Beef Pork The Works Wicked team he that guy was actually from leam Wicked guy great to talk about their product so passionate about their food and it really comes across when you come to these places am I going to recommend War Pigs ABS bloody lutely we just met a guy from Manchester who came here just for this place if you're catching flights for barbecue brisket you're my type of person for sure so one of the um the the lovely ladies in there suggested uh hot tip locally little Chinese place does pork rind roll sandwiches sandwich he said yeah worth looking at with a special Source or something oh you love a special sauce don't you I do Special Sauce he does how good is that food the barbecue and the the PSE the place the vibe everything it's fantastic bro absolutely beautiful something about deep Smoked Meats cooked for extended period of time they just break down and they caramelize go sweet you that smokiness and the the sauces were great mac and cheese was beautiful lovely addition to the to the dish um what place highly recommend it certified officially great beer as as well lovely beer we couldn't finish our beers yeah they strong started yawning a bit didn't we yeah we've been up since 3:00 in the slices some kind of like a flat Sicilian type slice but we've gone for the main Pizza the guy looks like he knows what he's doing seems really cool let's go could be like a legit pizza spot here in Copenhagen it's F though yeah excited for this one man uh not much to talk about there really well we just spoke to the lads after hope you've seen the review those young Lads so it's good pizza for the price and I thought you know what that's a real good point we to have the same for the money in Copenhagen that's probably a really good spot to come and get a hot pizza it ain't going to get a top score for me but it doesn't mean I'm not going to I wouldn't go there the same as you know it's great like awesome but if had a few beers and we're walking home that i' would murder that for the price you have a couple yeah no bother I got think 5.8 you ain't going to go above that for what what we've been offered but for the money no bother at all onto the next onto the next it w offensive favorite uh pizza pizza place in the city they opened under a year ago I think so this is a New York huge New York slice they reheated got some different stuff we're going to get the uh the golden golden standard and my own favorite hot honey which is uh pepper honey as well no just cheese p and then hot honey and the hot honey is the honey is infused with garlic Lads because it's only got the hot honey could we have that I don't think that's too far of a ballpark is it or the honey wreck the the maybe get both no you said if no pepperoni I think you get H when in copen yeah usually I I eat the margar myself here and there whatever but honey is so is as close as possible to the golden standard that we know of so uh I don't think if you just want one slice I don't think you're going to ruin the uh the standard of just eating the you know the dough tasting the dough the cheese and then you have the honey garlic in the background just he's good is he he's [ __ ] he's great you done what's the secret of your pizza and he said that the big secret with good pizza is is the water uh for the dough so he's already talking very technical stuff because I know they know what they're talking about which is very exciting for me sitting in now we've ordered two cheese two hot honey the hot honey come on is a white pizza so we should have a good variety for now let's see how this goes really really good d i I haven't had new pizza that that many times this is a great example yeah cuz and I'm not a massive Pizza person but that that was brilliant the cheese and the tomato and just I really enjoyed it really enjoyed that this is a pizza you you would only want one slice of it's a very heavy Pizza yeah yeah some of my favorite ones in New York you could eat the whole pizza it's very light same principle slightly thinner but it's distract distracting nothing from this for a one slice stop walking around you want to get some get some carbs and you get some get some energy back in the system you ain't getting a lot better than that for for six quid have you tried with marinara no I'll try that now going to dip City there we go there we go Tangy I love it yeah deep wow enjoy that one cam yeah delicious meate and I had the bite of the white the white cheese one the bit in your beard when are you going to eat that bit um just debating to uh debating win thanks for the observation very kind of you that could have been there all day it's great to see a pizza like this in the city Neapolitan for me is is can be very good we Al also got huge margin for error it's underdone which a lot of time it's it's going to be sloppy wet you need a spoon to eat it I'll Just Vibe it this in my heart I just love this slice so I've got a question for you then so obviously they're using electric oven there how would it be different if they were using like a wood fired oven um I think a lot of places now quite like the electric OV because youve got total control over your temperature again these Wood Fired ovens they don't get some of them don't get hot enough some of them do but you know you got margin for error there again these electric ovens these days come of amazing so it's just consistency that's exactly right and there spaceships bro you can do you can do whatever you want with them whenever you want however you want the the best New York beaches though have got a cold fired huge brick Coal Fired ovens which give the pizza a whole another taste and coal Burns super hot yeah so you can get this electric very thin fast cook crispy and the base is like like a cracker bro God and this is where this one it's not the same that has properties of a Neapolitan but in the New York style and a bit it's just this is beautiful but the the true New York is Danish this fantastic and with the crispy skin that's very traditional Danish wow if I was to try one now would we have the sandwich or the uh with the with the Ry bread what I would recommend you the me this is that's the ultimate one gross like this is one of the best things i' I've bitten into exceptional oh man the pickle the pickle cabbage the standard of that roast pork is exceptional moist tender the fat is perfectly uh that crisp the cabbage is so sweet and the bread too is very sweet also which balances with a salty salty uh [Music] pork honestly fantastic honestly this is up there
