450 Bushmaster VS 4570 GOVT - HOW MANY MILK JUGS???

[Music] hey everybody how you doing really excited about this video I'm gonna get straight to the point cuz I'm excited to shoot these rifles today we have two heavy hitters for this video in the front here we have a Marlin model 1895 4570 government and then here in the back we have a Ruger American ranch in 450 Bushmaster it's more fun to stay that way today you can see behind me right here I've got set up one of my favorite tests the water jug test we're gonna shoot both of these rifles see if we can catch the bullets and how many milk jugs for water jugs it takes to stop the bullet let's take a quick look at the guns and the ammunition that we're using I got really similar ammo for this video so that we can have somewhat of a fair comparison between these two rifles the bullets that we're using today are both 300 grain lead tip bullets for the 4570 we're using Winchester Super X rounds and for the 450 Bushmaster we're using Great Lakes firearms and ammunition just like I said is also a 300 gram bullet I'll give you a quick look here at this Marlin model 1895 that we're gonna be shooting the 4570 with and then a quick look at the Ruger American ranch 450 Bushmaster this one we've got a red dot optics on it that's enough talking I'm ready to shoot these big old rifles with these big old bullets first shot here with the Marlin 1895 in those 300 grain Winchester's 4570 the shoots of jug see what happens [Music] we definitely just slammed a lot of energy into those jugs of the 4570 let's check it out see what happened standing back from the table there's a piece of water jug over there there's some over there there's some over there and then walking up I did label those jugs so the first one that's still on the table is number four bullet went in the front bullet came out the back there there is a little bit of lead in there you can see so piece of the bullet fragment is off in the fourth jug the fifth jug you can see the entry hole right there and then there's an exit on the fifth jug off the back took number five and then this is jug number six here got a hole in the front doesn't have a hole in the back yes it looks like it does have a hole in the back and look right there before I move all this stuff the bullet is right there caught after the sixth jug I'm gonna get that bullet out here it's probably hot oh not too bad so there is the 4570 round see the front of it mushroomed out and the back of it there looks like it held together pretty well aside from that one piece of lead that we saw in that fourth jug but like I said it went through the sixth jug and then stopped in between the sixth and the seventh so the 300 grain 4570 bullet went completely through six jugs let's go see what happens with the 450 Bushmaster I'm thinking maybe the Bushmaster goes into jug number seven let's see what happens I would love it ever did hopefully I can shoot straight with that one I don't have near as much practice with the 450 Bushmaster as I do with that 4570 but let's load up the 450 see what happens now for the 450 Bushmaster with that 300 grain bullet let's load it up say what happens on these jugs over here [Music] took the shot with a 450 Bushmaster and as much as I hate to say it I think we're gonna have to reshoot that one the third jug is still on the table but empty number four went in the front and came out the back right there number five went in the front came out the back at then number six the bullet grazed the handle there and then came out the side we're gonna have to take into the shot that one went through six kind of and then shot off the side I'm gonna go load up a bunch more water jugs we're going to shoot this again shot attempt number two with the 450 Bushmaster hopefully we can catch this bullet this top see what happened I think we caught it and that purple jug I saw actually was spinning on the table which I thought was kind of cool but let's see what happened looking on the ground we got one jug over there one jug over there one jug right there the first one on the table is jug number 4 which if you look the first thing I notice we've got some is it a rock no that's lead we got some lid right there then we've got some jacket on the table so jug number four and also the entry holes over here on the right side so that's the one that was spinning joke number four entry hole there on the front exit hole on the back that still looks if you look at the center of that looks like we're still pretty true to the center there on joke number four so let's look at joke number five we're still going down the center there joke number five hole in the front joke number five looks like the back kind of got smacked if you look at it that way but no hole in the back and if you look closely looks like there's a bullet in there I'm excited to see this I've never seen a mushroomed out 450 Bushmaster so this is joke number five let's pour it out take a look hey there is a mushroom doubt 450 bushmaster LED tip pretty awesome ooh and that one is hot the 300 grain 4570 LED tip went completely through six jugs and stopped in between six and seven the 450 bushmaster 300 grain LED tip bullet got caught in the fifth jug the 4570 beat the 450 Bushmaster by over one jug 4570 300 grain through six 450 Bushmaster got caught in the fifth jug let's put those bullets together side by side this is a really cool view here so on the left is the 450 Bushmaster and on the right is a 4570 what's interesting is the 4570 there is all smooth and the 450 Bushmaster is all whatever you call that rough I guess flip them over looks like the 450 Bushmaster actually spread out wider than the 45 70 so that's also pretty interesting that the 450 Bushmaster had a larger expansion pretty interesting video we saw a couple things there one the 4570 went one water jug further than the 450 Bushmaster but the 450 Bushmaster bullet expanded quite a bit bigger it was quite noticeable that the 450 Bushmaster bullet expanded to a larger diameter a big thanks and a big shout out to heavy metal guns and outdoors for helping us with this video we wouldn't have been able to do it without
