um the us army owes me for tarpon this thing um i am not going to get paid it it was a safety issue and from in my opinion it's a safety issue i don't care about the stuff getting wet or whatever that's on the pallets ultimately it would been my responsibility so i took the initiative and went ahead and just tarped it knowing i probably was not going to get paid and i am not going to get paid all right uh good afternoon it is about i think it's about two o'clock i'm a uh a little frustrated we loaded today over to military base i'm over here in alamogordo new mexico right now and uh as you can see i got one hell of a mess um i'm gonna go ahead and tarp this load they're not paying me or i requested to get paid we'll see if i get paid or not but i've only gone 35 miles and you see all this plastic it's already it's already all over the place so and we still got from right here about 300 miles to go so i'm going to go ahead and tarp it they uh the uh supposed to be like an inspection blitz or something going on here look at this thing right here see that thing right there supposed to be some kind of inspection blitz going on so i want to make sure that uh i don't draw attention to myself but uh that's what we got these pallet things they go on airplanes they slide on the floor um they can be a little interesting strap down now they got their straps holding their items to the pallet i got my straps holding the pallet to the trailer so uh that's how we got that um i'm gonna dig out my 32 foot tarp i measured it 32 feet comes right to the end of that one there i really did not want to get sweaty and dirty and messy but uh anyway it's kind of me complaining i did not want to start this trip like that but let's get it over with and we'll get going talking a bit all right we're in santa rosa new mexico now um the u.s army owes me for tarpon this thing um i am not going to get paid i took pictures and sent it to katie katie sent the pictures to the agent the agent sent pictures to the transportation office the military transportation office transportation office sent a reply back and said that i was to just cut the plastic off as needed going down the road so i guess every 30 40 miles just stop and cut the plastic get going again stop cut the plastic um it was a safety issue and from in my opinion it's a safety issue i don't care about the stuff getting wet or whatever that's on the pallets what i'm concerned about is the plastic if it were to rip come off go on somebody's windshield go in their car under the car somebody swerve crash ultimately it would've been my responsibility so i took the initiative and went ahead and just tarped it knowing i probably was not gonna get paid and i am not gonna get paid so uh well gotta take a look i did not use my new tarps i've been dragging around my old four foot black tarps and uh if i wasn't gonna get paid i wasn't gonna use my new tarps so uh we'll go out and take a look at it but uh we're taking a quick break real quick and uh um it is about uh hang on [Music] oh my allergies whenever i'm in new mexico my allergies kill me um we're uh we're taking a quick break not my 30 we're just checking things out um so here's the tarp job we're not very heavy as you can see i got the axle up and this is what our tarp job looked like and all it is is like i said all i'm trying to do is just keep the plastic from blowing off and i'm not gonna spend all day uh running around or stopping every little bit cut the plastic off take a chance of it uh you know hitting a car or something so but these are my old tarps and you can see up here plastic's trying to get out down there but let me see if i can push this back in there hopefully we'll come back out so but like i said ultimately it's my responsibility if the plastic should fall off and cause an accident or whatever it would be my responsibility so i could be a hard hit and say well they ain't going to pay me i ain't going to tarp it but like i said if the accident happens it'd be my problem um i put a chain up on the front up here this is just a this isn't really holding the crate down or the box down it's just to keep it from sliding if i should have to hit the brakes hard keep her sliding forward um like i said we're not very heavy um we got uh i wanted to get to oklahoma city but i don't think i got the hours because i was messing with this so i was thinking about sayer oklahoma uh getting there but it's going to be after 10 o'clock parking might be an issue but i do know a couple little spots around sayer that i can hide away and park if nobody else is using them uh if not i might stop in allen reed texas there's a big rest area right there so uh so anyway i'm gonna get going again and i'll check in with you tonight okay we made it over here in oklahoma we're about 10 miles from sayer um we're at the rest rest area here at the welcome center in oklahoma city oh man um i've already logged off duty and i've started my timer um we got a long day tomorrow i got a solid 11 hours driving to do tomorrow because we've got a long way to go and i'm kind of tired um i know you guys want a video tonight i've actually got a lot of footage from working on the truck at home and today but it takes about two or three hours to edit a video and like i said i got 10 hours set on the timer right now and i need seven eight hours of sleep so uh i'll edit some videos when i get a little bit more time but that's the end of the day so uh that's it i even had dinner yet i got to eat some dinner and that's probably one of the worst things you can do is eat dinner right before you're gonna go to bed so i'll try to eat a light dinner but that's it thanks for watching talk to you later you
