[Music] hey good day and welcome back to central Ontario well we've got a lot planned today it's a little rainy and a little overcast today so we're gonna do some inside work but before we get going on the video I just want to take a moment out this week was this big milestone for GP outdoors we reached a thousand subscribers this week so I just want to take a moment thank all the suppressed subscribers all the pots of support the advice suggestions I've received over the last six months it's been really beneficial made a lot of youtube friends and it's really helped me learn how to use that tractor properly and safely as I go forward I love the interaction I love working outside I love doing things in the forest and I love doing it myself and now that I have a tractor I can do a lot more things around the property on my own and I I think that hopefully you folks share the same interests and you love working outdoors so I'm gonna keep doing videos I'll try to make them unique and interesting and keep things going and I just wanted to thank everybody for all the support over the last few months and I look forward to making more and talking with you in the future all right so on that note let's get the show on the road got lots to do I'll take you out the back and show you Cheers [Music] you so you folks know that I use the grapple a lot in fact it's probably my most used to implement I barely ever need the bucket because there's so much debris and things and practical uses for this grapple a few months ago was watching some videos and I just want to put a quick shout out to 94 bullet bullet has a great set of videos on his channel a lot of practical helpful videos on the different equipment and tractors and thinks he uses outdoors and he's free he's obviously been doing that a long time because his videos are very detailed and very helpful a few months ago he put out a video on a grapple and in that video he talked about the importance of putting some kind of meshing or some kind of protection in the back of the grapple to stop errant branches and things from pushing through the back of the grapple and entering into your engine compartment and as you guys know I've got a guard on the front but that guard is an open guard it may help to provide some support but branches can fly through there no problem and they have also realized that my neighbor who's got an L series has a big screen across his grill and for the same reason he told me does a lot of work in the forest same as I do a lot of branches a lot of debris which finds itself going through the back of his front end attachments and potentially damaging his engine compartment so that's what we're gonna do today we're gonna take the guard off the tractor head over to guys workshop he's got his welder and tools as you know and a big kind heart to help me up today and we're gonna put some expanded metal mesh on the front of that guard get it welded up and then get it painted and back on the tractor so I can work in the forest a little safer from now on okay so get comfortable maybe grab a coffee and stick around it should be a fun day Cheers [Music] [Music] all right we're recording by the way you're not coming in the door I'm not coming in are you all right over by the light slit okay all right hey guys how are you here's what I got that'll do yep okay here's our courage okay I think we're gonna have to put it in the back because as you know I always like to put my guard forward which means it comes very close to the boom when they look the over so if we can get it in the back if you think that makes sense then that way till the end of the way so we can do that okay okay [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] you [Music] [Music] yeah you're gonna wait till I got a piece of mine that's perfect okay take three I tell you a guy is really talented and very helpful so what we did is we took some expanded metal we put it on the inside of the guard because on the v-series tractor I like my guard forward so there's not a lot of clearance for the boom as it goes over with the loader arm so I put it on the back what we did is we put in a piece of reinforcement metal across the top tack welded it all the way through on all the sides and what you'll see here in just a little pointer we left the bottom open and the reason we left the bottom unwelded was because the brackets are going to clip onto that front of the tractor and when you bolt them in of course there's going to be some compression and if we attack welded this all along when we tried to tighten these bolts up you're probably going to get some buckling so what we did is we tack welded it right here to the to the first corner and allowed this just to rest against the metal so I think that's gonna work so I'm going to clean it up we're going to spray-paint it because I've got my cup over orange acrylic paint from the dealership so we'll paint her off clean it up a little bit let it dry and then we'll get her back on the tractor and we'll be safe all right [Music] okay we're all done special thanks to my neighbor guy and his fine welding skills we've got the expanded metal on the back she's tack welded on looks great painted it up Kubota orange and it looks really great and I feel a lot safer now doing all the graph will work in the forest so thanks so much for sticking around I hope it was enjoyable if you like my channel please click subscribe click the like button and if you want to know what I'm posting videos please click the notification bell okay have a great week thanks for sticking around we'll see you again Cheers [Music] you
