how's it going guys it's root junkie here and today we're going to be talking about an error that you see in team win recovery project or torp recovery and that's this one right here this says no os installed are you sure you wish to reboot and you try to reboot and it doesn't work and it comes back to this and you're stuck what do you do okay so let's just talk about that let's talk about probably why that happened okay in most rom installs you're requested to go ahead and wipe and a lot of them say do an advanced wipe and do system data you know you you might actually just click all these and if you do that right we won't do internal but we're going to do cash right and then you swipe and it does a wipe of your of your device okay you're like okay great right i just wiped my device now i'm gonna install my rom right but then you go to do an install and your rom is missing it's it's not there anymore you can't find it like where where is it at is it on my sd card i can't find my rom i don't know where my rom went i think i wiped my rom out which you probably did okay so you had it downloaded on your device and now it's gone now how do you install it or you install it and it's it flashes bad or something happens and now you go to reboot you go to system and you say oh i got no os i can't operate no the phone doesn't work okay so a couple ways you can fix that number one is go ahead and put a new root rom or a stock rom um onto a micro sd card if your device has that i'm gonna go ahead and open mine up sorry just powered it off okay and i'm gonna put this in there right because all you're trying to do is get your rom back to your device or a different rom to your device so that you can go ahead and try to do the flash so from here if you want to see if that's working correctly what i find is if you try to put an sd card in while you're in twerp you're going to have to do reboot so we're going to reboot to recovery and basically what that's going to do is that's going to mount the sd card um so that it can be seen uh in in in recovery mode and that allows to do what we need to do okay so here it boots back up now we can go in here we can go to um external sd card and then here's all the files i have in there here's our rom we can just slide it across and it'll go ahead and flash our rom to our device okay so that's how you fix it right it's really not too terribly hard the big thing is is knowing how to go ahead and get the files back to device if you basically wipe them away okay um there is another method while this is flashing and that's to use an otg flash drive so um these come in lots of different shapes and sizes this one's really nice because you can plug it into your computer with standard usb put your rom files on here flip it around and you have usb type c which is an otg and you can plug that into your phone and i'm going to show you guys that as soon as this thing finishes up and you plug that in your phone and then you can get any files that are on this right on your system so i'm gonna go ahead and come back down in here and the way you work this one is you go ahead and flip it over i'll try to try to hold this so you guys can see it okay so hopefully you guys can kind of make that out and you're gonna go to mounts and then you see it says usb otg go ahead and mount that now if you go into installs and you go to select storage you have usb otg and now this is your otg drive and i put my things in axion 7 because that's the device and then there's your two files okay so that's really really convenient for getting those files right from the otg drive to your device so you can do an install with them okay so let's talk about the last method well there's technically two more but let's talk about the next one so the next one is going to be with a usb cable okay and um twerp has built this into um torque recovery software so it's really easy so you plug in usb cable you go to mounts and then right here mount usb storage and you click that okay and what this is going to do is this is going to make this device show up in your computer with your cable plugged in as a storage device or like a hard drive and you just go to my computer you'll find your device copy your files over all right then you hit when you're done hit unmount and you'll be able to see those files in here under sd card because this is what it mounts and they'll probably be in here at the bottom of here or wherever folder or file you put them in and then you can install them okay so very very simple those are the three easiest methods the last one is if you plug in your cable this device will be able to do push pull with adb it's a little bit more advanced we're not going to cover it in this video but that is another way of doing it you can do an adb push and your file name and then you can do to um sd card slash sd card and then you can do adb push and another file and then slash sd card and it will also put it in this folder right here sd card so there are some more ways to do it with adb but a little bit more advanced than you have to have adb setup these are the three easy ones otg sd card usb cable and voila you can get this fixed so now when you go in here to reboot and you go to system you can see there is no error and the device should boot up just fine so i'm going to let this thing finish up and you'll see that i should be able to boot up right here into lineage os without any problems there it goes there is the initial boot sequence and that's the process of fixing no os on twerp recovery hope you guys like this video and found it informative if you did please give me a big thumbs up make any comments or questions down in the video section down below comment section and we'll catch you in the next one root junkie out
