[Music] four of the spirits that we must avoid number one Spirit of fornication they will not frame their doings to turn unto their God for this beard of whoredoms is in the midst of them and they have not known the Lord Hosea chapter 5 verse 4. there are numerous attacks against the people of God by the evil one in these last days increasingly and strategically forces are being released against God's children you can find yourself doing many things that you never intended to but they are forces that take advantage of our ignorance these forces are the rulers of darkness in this world Spirits are behind works of darkness they operate in the spiritual realm and have a mission of destroying our beautiful destinies there is a spirit of fornication this beard constantly seeks to desecrate the things of God this Spirit craves sexual immorality filthiness and making motions in the body Etc many wrestle with this beer daily they have cried fasted and prayed yet they can't break from it that's the spirit of fornication however you have the victory over it Jesus gave us power against unclean spirits to cast them out Matthew chapter 10 verse 1 says Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness what Jesus said about lust that many people do not know Matthew chapter 5 verses 27-28 you have heard that it was said You shall not commit adultery but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with Lust For Her has already committed adultery with her in his heart one could be pleased with themselves for having never disobeyed this commandment but at the same time having eyes full of adultery second Peter chapter 2 verse 14. having eyes full of adultery that never ceased from sin enticing unstable Souls having Hearts trained in greed accursed children even while someone presents a good front it's possible that his thoughts are continually straying into murky territory therefore Jesus instructed his disciples that it was not enough to merely abstain from the act itself they also needed to be pure on the inside the law forbade the act of adultery Jesus forbids the desire whoever looks at a woman to Lust For Her has already committed adultery with her in his heart [Music] e Stanley Jones caught the import of this verse when he wrote if you think or act adultery you do not satisfy the sex urge you pour oil on a fire to quench it Jesus traced the roots of sexual desire all the way back to the eyes when he said things like whoever looks at a woman because Jesus considers adultery in the heart to be a sin we can deduce that what we think about and what we allow our hearts to rest on is a result of the choices we make we may not be able to control passing thoughts or feelings but we certainly do decide where our heart and mind will rest a popular bible commentator said imagination is a god-given gift but if it is fed dirt by the eye it will be dirty all sin not the least sexual sin begins with the imagination therefore one feeds the imagination is of Maximum importance in the pursuit of Kingdom righteousness an example of an individual that disciplined his eyes was job The Book of Job is remarkable in many ways but one of its most endearing qualities is that it illustrates how a man can be both very human and extremely Heavenly at the same time Job chapter 31 verse 1. I have made a covenant with my eyes how then could I look at a virgin how we conduct ourselves in the struggle against sin no wonder Paul exhorts Believers to flee from sexual immorality First Corinthians chapter 6 verse 18. flee sexual immorality every other sin that a person commits is outside the body but this actually immoral person sins against his own body Ephesians chapter 5 verse 3. but sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you as is proper among Saints Jesus most famous message The Sermon on the Mount focused on the hearts of his listeners he targeted his disciples as the audience and proceeded to preach what we now call the Beatitudes cold is meant to be different the Sea of the world from God's perspective to relate to people in a supernatural fashion to maintain one's sexual Purity requires more than simply abstaining from engaging in lustful activity it is also something that involves the heart number two the lying spirit and the Lord said unto him wherewith said I will go forth and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of All His prophets and he said Thou shalt persuade him and Prevail also go forth and do so First Kings chapter 22 verse 22. there is a lying spirit this might seem like an unthreatening spirit however that is how the devil subtly deceives the spirit of lying is very deceptive you may even look righteous and anointed under its influence it is one of the reasons why Jesus said some will spend eternity in hell it is written that all liars will go there Revelation chapter 21 verse 8. but for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and Sorcerers and idolaters and all liars their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death Jesus shared a fact about Satan that many do not know Satan is a liar and the father of Lies John chapter 8 verse 44. you are of your father the devil you want to do the desires of your father he was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him whenever he tells a lie he speaks from his own nature because he is a liar and the father of Lies in John chapter 8 verse 44 we see a story unfolding according to the translation found in the message your from your father the devil and all you want to do is please him he was a killer from the very start he couldn't stand the truth because there wasn't a shred of Truth in him when the liar speaks he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies in the eighth chapter of John Jesus was talking to a group of Jewish people who refused to believe in who he was the teachings of Jesus have been met with Fierce opposition from those who disagree with him they had argued that they were Abraham's children prior to Jesus speech but he responded by explaining that Abraham had faith in God and walked in God's ways Jesus response to their claim was that they were not Abraham's true Sons every lie that Satan tells has the end goal of bringing about your destruction and Wrecking you this is Satan's ultimate objective fascinating how lying and murder often go hand in hand don't you think according to what the Lord has taught us there are seven behaviors that he considers to be an abomination hardiness lying murdering plotting evil eagerness to do wrong a false witness and sowing Discord among the brethren Proverbs Chapter 6 verses 16 through 19. there are six things that the Lord hates seven that are an Abomination to him haughty eyes a lying tongue and hangs that shed innocent blood a heart that devises Wicked plans feet that run rapidly to evil a false witness who declares lies and one who spreads Strife among Brothers lying is one of the evil ones influences over the lives of people to make them come under God's Wrath according to the book of Colossians chapter 3 verses 9 and 10. the Bible instructs us do not lie to one another seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and upon the new self which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator Satan has always been a liar in contrast to God who does not lie we are created in God's image and God does not lie in point to fact if you look through the pages of the Bible you see that even Satan struggled with telling the truth before his fall one of the great Angels believed a lie about himself that wasn't true Satan actually believed that he could become like God that was a terrible false idea and his idea got him kicked out of heaven in fact the Bible has several names for Satan but the standard denominator in all of these names is that he is a liar he has been called deceiver Revelation chapter 12 verse 9 Beelzebub literally Lord of the Flies the ruler of demons in Matthew chapter 10 verse 25. tempter first Thessalonians chapter 3 verse 5. Belial meaning Wicked second Corinthians chapter 6 verse 15 and ruler of this world John chapter 12 31. the enemy is persistent in using people and anything of this world to seduce and draw us to his deceptions the Apostle Paul informs us that Satan masquerades as an angel of Light so that what he says and does sounds good and seems reasonable but it is nothing more than a false appearance second Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14. no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of Light we would do well to know the Bible inside and out so that we can tell the difference between the enemy lying to us and twisting God's word because God is always truthful honesty has always been the best policy for God's people he has always desired that his people bear and tell the truth trust is the foundation of all relationships and Truth is a foundation of all relationships there will be no trust if there is no truth you will never have True Fellowship if you do not have trust when God established the director for honesty he knew exactly what he was doing more than ever we as Christians need to build a true Community Based on trust and truths today I want to encourage you not to let the struggle with lies or false testimony Define you and destroy your relationships Satan told the first lie in documented history to Eve in the Garden of Eden after sowing seeds of delud in Eve's mind with a question he directly contradicts God's word by telling her you will not certainly die Genesis chapter 3 verse 1. now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made said to the woman did God really say You must not eat from any tree in the garden Genesis chapter 3 verse 4. but the serpent said to the woman you certainly will not die Satan LED Eve to her death with that lie Adam followed and so have we all Satan's primary weapon against God's children is deception and he employs this tactic to separate people from their Heavenly Father many of Satan's lies are self-perpetuating this is what happened when Eve persuaded Adam to believe the devil's lie as well even today Satan employs people to spread his lies for him he frequently employs charismatic people to spread his lies as in the case of false religions his success is contingent on people believing his lies to deceive people he has used everything from Little wide lies to huge lies in contrast to Satan Jesus is the truth and will never deceive you number three the spirit of the world First Corinthians chapter 2 verse 12. now we have not received the spirit of the world but the spirit who is from God so that we may know the things freely given to us by God the spirit of the world is also a direct opposer to the things of God why does this Spirit command first John chapter 2 verses 15-17 gives us an answer to this question do not love the world nor the things in the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world the lust of the Flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the father but it's from the world the world is passing away and also its lusts but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever we can see here that the spirit of the world commands the activities of the lust of the flesh it monitors and organizes the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life the spirit has destroyed many families on Earth that is why a person wants everything money can buy until the individual wears the marriage out that is the lust of the eyes a man or woman can also be wearing clothes that they cannot afford sometimes these clothes are obtained through that that individual is under the Captivity of the spirit of the world with lust of the Flesh and the eyes these things work so subtly you'd never hear the footsteps of a serpent the spirit of the world puts people in bondage by these lusts some people are searching for capital for their business well the items they own add up to more than the capital they need First Timothy chapter 6 verse 6. but godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment Christ has given me power against unclean spirits Prince of the Year hear my voice I am not subject to your Authority your influence will no longer find access to my life nor my flesh nor my mine no no more when you look at what is in the world the lust of the eyes the lust of the Flesh and the pride of life when you are captured by it you become an enemy of God know ye not that the Friendship of the world is enmity with God whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God James chapter 4 verse 4. no enemy of God has a future if the things of God do not matter to you or under the influence of one of the rulers of this wicked world every time you see that your spirit does not embrace the truth of life you know that there is a strange influence trying to tear down your destiny Judas was also a victim Luke chapter 22 verse 3. and Satan entered Judas the one called Iscariot who belonged to the number of the twelve Rebellion is a demonic activity carried out by evil influences Satan entered Judas and he went his way to betray the master these are not physical forces they are essentially spiritual demonic satanic forces aiming at Men's Destinies to destroy them you will not be destroyed in Jesus name whatever makes you tired of the truth is the devil no enemy of God has a future let us remember Pharaoh Nebuchadnezzar Herod and others it is the love of God that guarantees a glorious life for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly realms Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12. the Holy Spirit provides genuine wisdom to Believers unlike the worldly spirit with the Holy Spirit we can receive and understand the spirit of the world drives us to foolishness God makes worldly wisdom as promoted by the spirit of the world foolish where is the wise person where is the teacher of the law where is the philosopher of this age has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world First Corinthians chapter 1 verses 20 through 21. where is the wise person where is the Scribe where is the debater of this age has God not made foolish the wisdom of the world for sins in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe from a worldly human perspective it is foolish to believe in Jesus Christ as a way of salvation these are forces in the spiritual realm that are intended to devastate the destiny of men it is useful for us to recognize that in the various areas of life there is a pervasive presence of the spirit of the world number four Spirit of disobedience and you hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins wherein time past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air the spirit the now worketh in the children of disobedience Ephesians chapter 2 verses 1 through 2. there is a spirit of disobedience the ministry of that spirit is fulfilling the desires of the Flesh and of the Mind that is where this Spirit works the mind the spirit Works disobedience in people going through the Flesh and of the mind to take people off God's presence so that they can be afflicted and tormented it works through the Flesh and the mind to make you a child of Wrath to bring the wrath of God upon your life Jesus has given us the power to combat Wicked spirits by holding on to our rights in Jesus we can break free from the bondage imposed by these spirits
