my name is Kai Lindsey and I am one chick traveling in a spider-man I started this whole thing back in 2016 as part of a school project the van living tiny-home experience the travel and of course the rock climbing I started it as a way to teach myself about home and what it's like to have a sense of place when that place keeps changing I think ultimately I was looking for something I think I was looking for myself [Music] jury is still out on whether or not I've found what I was looking for [Music] before he hit the road I thought the only people who would be out in the world living the fan life were going to be a single men and couples I was worried about being alone at the time I looked online and it was all couples and solo men [Music] and I was certain that I was gonna be the only solo woman on the road [Music] but it became clear to me really quickly that this was just not the case [Music] there's so many solo women who are on the road working remotely who've engineered these incredible lives so they can explore climb drive dance listen to music hike make money make friends and they're doing this all on their own [Music] I realized that I wasn't alone that I was a part of a community [Music] that in a way has been hiding from the spotlight [Music] it's not always been safe for solo women to talk about their lives or locations [Music] I think things are changing for sure [Music] but sometimes it feels like people are using the solo female traveler aesthetic as a way to sell products while not actually supporting or talking about women traveling on the road [Music] and I wanted to talk about women traveling on the road [Music] [Music] I wanted to showcase these women and so my one chick travel series was born the series is all about solo women who are currently rocking it and taking control of their lives [Music] I want to flood the internet with badass women I just want the world to know that women exist in these spaces [Music] and are absolutely rocking it I want them to know that women are funny and cranky and messy and strong and like pretty things and showers and are just real people you I want to make a series of women traveling on the road that inspires other women to take control of their lives [Music] you my greatest accomplishment would be to know that someone out there watched one of my videos and because of that realize they could hit the road too [Music] you [Music] I hope I can change someone's life like that [Music] [Music] you [Music]
