hey everyone and welcome back to the X ring I appreciate all you guys watching the Meany X and her ventures and to getting it in competitive shooting I am gonna get her into long guns you guys know that's kind of like my thing I love long guns and look what we have today brought out all the a is you guys know I compete with this one you've seen this one before this is the AI and this one's in six millimeter this is what I'll be shooting at the Hornady precision rifle challenge coming up in Wyoming in two weeks I have taken the Thunder beach suppressor off because I really want to mitigate that recoil as much as I can so I have an area for 1-9 hellfire break on it but this you guys have never seen before this is the AI the ax MC multi caliber this was in 338 Lapua Magnum has the surefire socom 338 titanium can on it and believe it or not it's not as heavy or as big as you would think so comparing it to this one you can see the overall size of the platform the end of the handguard now if we get the actions about the same you're gonna see the handguard is a little shorter and the barrel is a whole lot shorter okay this one's running a 24 inch barrel this one I believe is a 26 or 27 inch barrel this is the 338 Lapua Magnum it has a 1 a 9 twist this has the loop hold mark 5 on it I will do a little close-up so you guys can see it but it feels thinner feel smaller doesn't feel as heavy as this one okay I have a little bit more stuff on this but as far as the actual weight of it this 338 definitely feels lighter wish I had to scale them it could be because of the sperm out and everything else but we're gonna get to shooting it I'm gonna do some close-ups let's you see this full review of this and it has every single Bell and whistle on it and so hopefully you guys enjoy it total cost of this ax MC is going to be somewhere around $15,000 or so something like that depending on how much you paid for the can the base rifle is going to be about $6,500 but I do have the caliber conversion kit as you guys are just getting ready to see and we have it 308 I'll do a barrel change and let's just see how quick and effective that is one of the things that I've noticed those with this ammunition that we're shooting today we're shooting Nosler 300 rain match it's not the best at a hundred yards but it'll still hold a minute of angle it's good enough for what we're gonna be doing today stay tuned now this one here is chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum okay let's go ahead and check that first all right so what you're gonna notice is it looks very similar to the one that I shoot okay and it is very similar you'll notice the same chassis in the rear up here it looks a little different cuz everything is so much larger and then coming up to the front you're gonna see the the famous the accuracy international this is not uh this is actually not keymod these are called key slots is what they've coined them as you can see the accessory rails the bikinis this does have the action national bipod now the bipod actually deploys very quickly I like this you have a little push button here where you can go basically from forwards to 90 to 180 and very similar to what you would see them like a Harris you can press this but it doesn't come out you have to actually pull these two locations and you have to actually push them back to where you want it it does have can't to it of course with the spigot mount here there is a quick release on this side you just press it and then your spigot comes out just like that as far as painting you're not gonna have any painting or tracking feature where this turns this way so it's just a straightforward this one does have the Surefire mount because would this review today what I'm going to do is I'm gonna shoot it with the surefire 338 T I can so it's a very large suppressor but these are very very good suppressors especially for something like that 338 Lapua Magnum now up top what we've got is the loop hold this one has this is the mark 5 HD so we'll take a look at that you know this one has the locking turrets you have to press this just some standard mark 4 rings and guys this has a lot of versatility to it because you still have the ability to fold it like you normally do it's a brand new rifle so it's everything's kind of stiff on it you also have adjustable length of pull you have adjustable can't on the rear buttstock here and you have about 40 millimeters of adjustment here on let's Reiser there's actually a four millimeter allen tucked right in here and you can do a lot of your adjustments on that see how we're going to do the quick change' barrel so what I'll do is I'll shoot it with 338 Lapua Magnum first the rifle has been broken in and then what we'll do is we'll switch it over to 308 okay so I have two through a Winchester you also have the rear monopod now this is something unique that you guys haven't seen before I don't shoot with a monopod but this attaches to the bottom of the stock so if you're one of those that once one of these you have a button right here you press it and that will quickly extend so if you want a solid base now you can screw this and micro adjust it if you press it again now that's gonna allow you to touch this unit here is polymer all of this is machined aluminum looking inside the kit you're gonna have your cleaning rod now guys this is nothing better rebranded like a gun slick okay it looks like the exact color it looks like the exact same setup here from the same manufacturer you also have your magazines for your 308 available and a bunch of different configurations from the factory my apologies for the noise back there but it is a gun range these are these videos massive 338 Lapua Magnum magazines field cleaning kit spare bolt for the 308 now you do have to do some modifications about taking what you've got in here and taking it out and putting it into this bolt and you also have extensions for your length of the biggest thing is we're shooting from 338 Lapua Magnum to 308 if you have to put the magazine converter the magwell converter in there to reduce it to the size of these mags I'm gonna go ahead and do all that for you today we'll get it dialed in on paper 200 and we'll shoot it all the way out to 720 X 700 yards doesn't do it a lot of justice but let's get this review on the way all right guys to make sure everything is dialed in before we get started what we're gonna do is we're going to go ahead put the suppressor on here we are gonna be using the Nosler match-grade 338 Lapua and 300 grain variety okay so as with any surefire suppressor I know I've talked about this before but what you want to do is just slide it on you want to find that little notch mark and then all we do is we just tighten this collar and that's it she's good we've got the serial number up top you can pull on it we can make sure we're good to go what we're gonna be shooting at are little dots like that that's the two inch diameter dot I have no idea how it's gonna go so let's go ahead and get it on paper we'll do a 5 actually we're gonna do a 3 shot group because this stuff is really expensive I just want to make sure that this is that the scope is actually dialed in so let's go and get to shooting it all right guys because we don't know where it's gonna go like I said it should be pretty close you know what before I start wasting rounds let me go ahead and just do a read of a rudimentary bore sight on this yeah it should be pretty close to being on paper but I don't think it is completely dialed in so all right 100 yards Center target okay so we're about 2 inches high so it's pretty darn close the recoil is pretty light but like I said this table really isn't long enough but let's go ahead and do another round I will tell you that's an extremely effective suppressor for a 338 Lapua Magnum there's very little recoil it's a soft push okay so they're not touching they're probably about 1/4 inch apart let me go and get this third round yes so the group is about 1m away all right guys so we have it on paper I wasn't expecting you know a 0.25 group or anything like that out of this 300 Win Mag like I said I don't know a 338 Lapua I don't know how it's gonna like this Nosler like I said it could just be the ammunition like I said this is what I've got so this is what we're gonna shoot but there is a 10 by 10 steel out there at 700 yards it's the furthest distance I have here I ran some data on the Kestrel on the street lock and it's telling some we're somewhere between three and a half to four based on this as far as mils for elevation so I'm gonna put it somewhere in the middle I'm just gonna go like I don't know we'll go 3/8 this has a 1 in 9 3 twist barrel or something who knows but let me go ahead and let's see if we can hit that 10 by 10 steel with two rounds I don't know it might take a whole box who knows as far as the recoil when I shot it for at a hundred yards it was actually very very mild ok so not a whole lot of felt recoil let me see if I can find the target out there and then I'll see if I get the tactic am hooked up to this little later on so you guys can kind of see the recoil and all alright so here we go 700 yards 10 by 10 with a 338 I wish I would have had to tack the cam on there because it took the ten by ten bullet completely off of the post unfortunately I have no way of getting up there it's a steep side of a mountain so are seven hundred yard target is gone and all there is is a silhouette still up there I wish you could have seen that should have had the tactic aim on there so yeah I've always said one in my way so if this thing would hold when I'm away at 700 yards I should be able to hit a seven-inch target and that was a 10 inch steel it was no problem to hit it using the 3.8 mills I had to figure out what else I can shoot at since my 700 is now gone so I've got a round steel at 600 yards it's calling for three mills let's see if we can do it I've got two rounds here I've got the tactic am going hopefully I'm gonna adjust this link to pull really quickly because I don't want to eat that with my eyeball even though it's soft shooting it does recoil and a scoop on my face today this elevation right let's see if I can get one on at 600 all right guys zoom in a little so you guys can see it there it is you guys can see the recoil on the camera here we go six hundred yards three mils awesome but I knocked the plate off of the stand killed it as well yeah ton of energy that 300 Greiner and it's very very quiet I'm actually impressed with the way the SOCOM 338 Ti works it is crazy quiet really is I'm running out of steals don't know what to do though there's one at 500 yards 500 yards is gonna be about two two on this setup so there's two two you see if I can get this tactic am rolling I think might be a little high you see there's two on there now alright guys so shooting 338 Lapua can get very very expensive so what's really nice is being able to switch over to something that you can kind of train with work on positional stuff and in that case we're gonna use the 308 Winchester so what I'm going to show you guys is how you do the full conversion we just shot this at that 500 yard target this is cool enough for me to remove so yeah that's a little warm but the very first thing is we're gonna press this down that is going to loosen that collar once I'll loosen this collar then I can just pull that straight off okay this is still warm but it's not hot enough to burn any of my cord or anything like that next thing we want to do is we want to loosen the barrel ten in there if you will don't use your torque wrench to do this and guys what I'm using is the Borka this is the RH kit this was modeled for me the RH kit has everything you need to do for all of your AI and basically anything else needs and I'll show you all of that just a little bit remember Borka tool kit these are filled try used these are filled tested if you're looking for something that's a real-world hard to use kit there's really nothing any about any better than that so what we're going to do is we're just gonna loosen this screw here once we loosen this that's about all you have to do then what we need to do is just unscrew the barrel now the barrel has flats on it the Borka kit already comes set up for the a so if it's too tight we already have a tool here to be able to remove this okay so all I'm going to do is just rotate it slightly just to kind of break that tension and we just unscrew this barrel out of the action and accuracy international actually has two different sizes of m27 s and m 30 this is an M 30 I have an M 27 on mine but there's the barrel we've taken it off so now what we're gonna do is we want to put this 308 barrel on here now unfortunately I don't have a muzzle break for it but that's okay you can shoot it without a muzzle break or anything it's a brand new barrel it is an AI 308 Winchester when that's clean as a clean as a whistle so what we're gonna do is just guide this in don't bounce it around or anything else and what we're gonna do is just screw this in this touches getting there just a little snug with your hand and guys this is no torque at all all I'm doing is just making sure it's seated once I do that then what I want to do is I want to tighten this back up and I want to use somewhere around 42 inch pounds now the Borka kit actually comes this is one here where I can check it this is called a torque limiter and that's it let's do it one more time done good to go so the barrels ready however this bolt is not going to work and the reason is is the bolt on a 338 Lapua the face of it and all of that is a lot different in size than a 308 so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this out you can see the three on here the three red dots and I need to replace it with this bolt the only thing we need to do is get the firing pin out of here see this little detent right here once I get it beyond that that's it and I can take it out the whole assembly comes out I'm done with the 338 Lapua Magnum on the 308 I'm going to take this place it in to rotate done so now I can start shooting 308 but you can't forget the magazines so we are good here let's function check it we are good to go so on the magwell we need to place an insert in here and that is going to be in this insert here it still has the cutout and what you're gonna see is you have a little button on this side this is going to interface and lock into the side of the chassis so when we press this in we want to make sure we're putting enough torque on it to lock that in and once you lock it in guys there is no movement here there's no slot your existing magazine release will work perfectly so now with the 308 magazine this is a different size than the 338 now I can insert it good to go no lock feature so it's just like mine I don't know if it's going to be zeroed more than likely it's not I do know that I can switch mine from 65 Creedmoor to 6 millimeter Creedmoor and I only have about one military ins but that's something you can record it will repeat again and again so let's go ahead and throw some 308 in here we've got some Nosler match-grade this is the hundred and seventy-five grain RDF I still have the one target out there that didn't look great with the 338 Lapua Magnum what I'll do is I'll shoot a three or four shot group to the right of it and we'll see what kind of group we get or actually I think I have to go top right we'll just see what happens and the first thing I'm going to do is make sure my tactic Amazon see you guys can see this I will tell you I'm not a huge fan of this bipod it's not bad I like the can't on it everything but just the height that's wrong if you guys can watch the feet here it's kind of like the old Atlas BT 10 you see how the feet roll that's something I don't like that's why the BT 46 was invented so that it didn't have the feet that rolled so let's see what happens hundred yards alright guys so at a hundred yards we were a little bit left about four tenths left so I went ahead and put the four tents right in the group is not the best but it's also a brand new barrel the other thing is you have to realize what these rifles are purpose-built for these are used by the British Army by their snipers this is not supposed to be a precision you know PRS style gun this is for combat use I think as long as they can hold an MOA or better you're good to go it's what I've always said I've typically seen accuracy internationals hold a lot better than that however I don't think it likes this Nosler ammo with that being said let's go ahead and see if we can get some hits on target with this hundred and seventy five Greiner I'm actually starting to run out of targets because of the 338 knocking everything down you will go maybe to two I dunno the 500 yard target is still out there it's a little tiny man steel it's about that big we'll see if we can do that I'll get the tactic am running alright it is up and running just from the side in so here we go Seiden so here we go 500 yards that's an all right guys so 500 yards was easy enough I do have a man steel down there at 700 let's go ahead and see if we can just knock three real quick all right 700 yards here we go so three hits back-to-back on a man target that's what this is designed for it's designed for combat use and guys I'm really impressed with the ability of this rifle of being able to switch out those calibers you guys know that six millimeter wasn't an option but proof research will do drop in pre fit barrels and so if you want a short action you want a long action this is a great package this is a lot of money but you don't have to have a lot of rifles and I know my proof rifles my proof barrels will actually shoot really related to tight groups guys I'm having so much fun with this thing I just want to shoot it some more man the 308 it does make it nice being able to to practice I've loaded four rounds in this of the 308 see if we can go 700 at 308 terrible body position there's one think it's off the right there it is was - alright guys three four three it's sitting that was actually pretty easy man I love a three away let's see if we can do that offhand 700 got it nothing like an AI ax guys hope you enjoyed the review talk to you soon like share subscribe
