to start off this humongous wood DIY video of course I had to go with the wood round so taking my Home Depot wood round sanding it with 80 grit then 220 grit sandpaper on all sides then I'm taking flag stone by veranee with a microfiber cloth we're going to stain the front the back and the sides I'm going to pop that in the sunshine to let it dry after we are done we're going to bring it in and I'm going to grab cowgir coral and I'm going to do a messy coat on the bottom of it and I'm also going to take that down to the sides as well wherever I'm putting that cowgirl Coral I want to say cowgirl Corral and I'm going to flip that on over do the same kind of paint job to the bottom half using old 57 once that's completely dry I'm going to take it out to the garage and I'm going to use two 20 grit sandpaper to smooth out that paint and then to add just a tad bit more distressing now instead of using vinyl for a stencil or to place on the wood rounds I'm going to use my IOD lettering stamps I am going to start off with the cursive stamp to spell out welcome I just overlap these to create one word sounds silly saying it that way but I mean it's true all right and once I spill out welcome I'm going to take the type setting stamp which I do have in stock and I'm going to apply that um on there now I like to apply or I guess lay out all my stamps before I ever ink them up to make sure that I have enough space to put them on my project once I'm done with the stamping I'm going to take Rose chint paint inlay I am so sorry you guys but the sisters retired this paint inlay talk about devastated I am going to lay these out now paint and lays you could either put them on wet paints or you can put them on top of a clear coat which is what we are going to do here so after I figured out where I wanted to put these I'm going to use big top and I'm going to go over the top half and then I'm going to start laying those paintt inlays down where I want them just pushing down on the paint inlay getting them into that clear coat I'm going to follow that all the way around the top just like you saw me do before and I'm also going to repeat this step on the bottom half once it completely or sorry then you Spritz it with water and then push it down with a paper towel now once it's dry you Spritz it again this is going to reactivate that paint inlay and help release it from that clear coat we're going to start pulling that up and oh my gosh it's so satisfying oh my gosh I love it look at that so vibrant and y'all this was made last year this is now spring of 2024 I have this on my door right now and it is still like as vibrant as ever I'm going to take one of the crackle stamps from the texture set I do have that one in stock too and um I put that sporadically throughout now I'm going to take barane Spar urethane waterbased you want waterbased so that your paint and your stain does not yellow you also want Spar urethane if it is going outside I do have an overhang on my porch so I only do two coats on the front the back and the sides I do recommend three coats if it's out in the elements and in case you guys didn't know I do have an Amazon storefront and that is linked always in my description box so if you ever see something I'm using that I don't directly sell on my website you'll be able to find it here and a lot of the items that I use on my wood rounds are found in the Amazon store link all right just like these de hooks so I'm going to screw in my de hooks I put them about 3 Ines down and the screws actually do come with the box of De Hooks and then I'm going to grab my wired Juke now this is my preferred way of hanging my wood rounds however when I first started making them I used ribbon so to each their own do it however your heart desires so I'm going to twist that up oh my gosh so gorgeous and I don't put any bows or anything cuz I already have the flowers on there and the crackle and look how cute this turned out and it was just so much easier because I did not have to make a stencil weed out vinyl peel it up all of that stuff so do you see the crackle right there I love how this turned out and I hope it inspires you to have fun with stamps and your paint and LA or transfers on a wood round because I absolutely love and adore this wood round I am going to play off of this sheet for the video so I'm going to cut out the image that I want I going to take I think this is a 2x10 and you guys I don't know the sizes I just go in my garage and cut random sizes and see what fits I am taking you guys I'm going to use color today this is Queen be by DIY paints and oh my gosh um I'm not much for like yellow I mean the cake batter was beautiful but this is beautiful I'm going to show you how I dry it down we are going to do the front or sorry the back of this wood piece and all of the sides do not paint the front your um color and I wanted to show you how how it looks as it dries down so you can see it's darker and as it dries down oh the yellow is so absolutely beautiful again this is Queen be and uh Breeze link is down in the description box all right so the front of it we are going to paint in Waverly white and we are doing this because we want that Deco Podge paper to really pop off of our wood piece once that is completely dry I cut out that Deco Podge paper we're going to lay it on top now you can see it doesn't fit all the way on my piece you could see like the white edges poking out but don't worry we will hide that now taking liquid Betina which is a deco Podge medium I'm going to put a coat um on the top of our wood then lay that Deco Podge paper down and just get whatever is left on my brush and push it down into the the wood I am somebody I don't care if there's wrinkles in My Deco pod paper um I'm not looking for the smoothest finish there are other ways of doing that and creating that but that's not like a priority when I'm decco poding so I repeated that process for the bottom half I am going to dry that speed up the process with my heat gun once that is dry I go back over the decopage paper with that liquid Betina again once that's dry we're going to take this finger sander and I am going to sand in a downward motion the excess of the paper it was super easy to do after that I take queen bee and a stencil brush and all I'm doing is stippling it around the entire image this is going to help it blend those edges blend into the paper now of course we had a bust out mold so I'm taking my amazing resin you just have to mix 50/50 and then you stir it for 40 seconds and it cures within 10 minutes so this is my definite go-to when using mold if I'm able to I am going to use the mushroom mold from IOD so we're going to let those set up and I just wanted to show you the process how they turn white it happens so fast and I love it okay now can can I just start by saying I am no like paint artist whatsoever I don't know how to blend colors I am just going with the flow here I'm taking kralin and I'm going to do all of the stems of the mushrooms I chose with this what I did was I took the Deco inspiration and I'm trying to translate that to my resin molds so I took kralin now I'm going in with some summer Crush while that kralin is still damp and kind of blending them into each other y'all I went back and forth so many times about like finishing these I doubted myself I even I was literally going to toss these to the side until my husband was like no I think that they're good just keep going with it so I just trusted the process proc okay so I did the same thing with the little ones then I took weathered wood by DIY with a smaller paintbrush and blended it the mushrooms on The Deco Podge paper had like orange brown white and red in them so I was trying to imitate that as much as I could but make it my own of course all right so I'm just using an acrylic paint for the red cuz I did not have a bright red in DIY or waver paint so I painted all of the tops of the mushrooms in the red after that I took the white wax and coated them and I still felt like it was missing something this was like this was the point when I was starting to have some self-doubt and I just kept going with the flow I propped them up on the piece and was like I'm not doing I'm not I was like I can't put these on they're not pretty and my husband's like you know what add some of the white polka dots to the tops and see if that helps kind of just tie in your piece so I did that and I'm happy he was there to encourage me because it definitely would not have turned out the way it did if I wouldn't have added these so now taking our molds I'm going to take our oh yeah I'm going to take our thick and juicy you we're just going to call it that from now it's really a quick and thick thick and quick bite hey I know you're excited like I am about this yes I know and we are going to adhere our molds to our wood piece and that is it look at how beautiful this turned out even the bird looks like it's popping out from the wood I love I love these molds and oh my gosh it it's just how I say like trust the process because because I think without these molds this wouldn't have been as beautiful as it is and I absolutely love it let me know what you think about adding the molds and this will be available on my website D designs today we are making a stove top cover so we need to measure length and width of our stove including that nice plastic part not just the inside of the stove I went outside and cut four 1 by 6 pieces 29 in long and two 1x4 pieces 22 in long I will leave the making the model of my stove along with all of the measurements however it will vary depending on your stove so next I am taking um Golden Oak by restum we are going to stain the front the back the sides even the ends of all of our wood pieces we are going to allow those to dry fully before moving on and um this stain comparable would be early American by Min wax so now that those are all dry we're going to grab our Gorilla Glue you can also use the wood glue from Dollar Tree it actually works just as good we are going to start piecing these together so just so you guys know a 1x6 actually measures out to be 5 and a half so these worked out perfectly so now I'm going to take my clamps we are going to CL clamp each aside together so that our glue can set up and y'all this stuff is like concrete it ain't going to move nowhere then we're going to take our 1x4 pieces which essentially this is where our handles are going to be set those on top make sure they're flush with your edges you're going to repeat that step for the opposite side once that all dries we're going to take our nail gun you could also you use nails and a hammer um I do suggest you do this because it is a super heavy piece so more security the better so after we're done with that we're going to go ahead and take this back inside I am going to grab linen white by rum and I'm going to give this a pretty healthy coat of paint um I do not paint the uh what do you call it the bottom of this but you are going to paint all of your sides the front where your handles are going to go just paint all of it once it fully dries we're going to take this back out to the garage we got our orbital sander 220 grit sandpaper and we are going to sand away now where you put more pressure that's where you're going to take off more paint so you can tell where I pressed firmly down on my board and then you're going to go ahead and clean that up with a rag after you're done now taking these stencils I made with my Cricut this is font Courier and the cursive is about love and I am using Aura mask 813 stencil vinyl all of this is in my Amazon store link if you want to head over to my channel and check that out so we are going to rub these on take our transfer tape off once we are through with that I take the rich black by folkart this is chalk paint and my mini roller all I have to do is apply one coat of this it is so jet black and beautiful I love it once that dries we'll go ahead and weed everything out now taking that rough sander again we are going to go ahead and just go over I mean if you want it more distress just hit it with the sander after I'm done with that we're going to take um I sprayed it with clear so our black doesn't smear and then polyacrylic we're going to coat it two times with this on the front and the back after that dries we are going to go ahead and measure out where our handles need to be now I couldn't find the original screws so I'm using silver screws here and then I'm just going to paint them black and y'all that is absolutely it I hope you guys enjoyed and make sure to go vote for your favorite project this is the final round all right bye you guys I just cannot believe how this turned out it is absolutely beautiful I don't know why it took me so long to make one of these I was so intimidated by it but it was so easy to put together I absolutely love it in my home and I hope you guys try it out make sure to tag me on Instagram if you do I would love love love to see your Creations so for this one we are going to start off with a 6x6 piece of wood now Pro tip measure your wood because a 6x6 actually measures out to be 5.25 by 5.25 sometimes 5 1/2 and that goes for any size of wood so when it says like uh 2x8 you know things like that okay so we are going to take ballerina Pink by Waverly and I am going to um take my stencil brush from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to give it a messy coat I'm going to do the front the back and the sides I am going to do the back of this because it will be a freestanding sign meaning the person will be able to just stand it up and they don't have to hang it on a wall of course you could put a saw tooth hanger on it but we're not going to need that so after we're done with this I'm going to take my IOD stamps this is a part of their um crackle pack it comes with four different like crackles in the stamp set I am using their Stone gray ink pad look at how cool that looks we get the crackle without having to use any of the different mediums and then I'm going to apply just a little piece on the side oh just that added detail is everything so after we're done with this I am going to take my um design that I made and I'm going to take a stencil brush with elephant gray by Waverly and I'm going to stencil that on now keep in mind if you are part of my membership group then you have access already to all of these Mother's Day designs that I did on the Cricut so I hope you enjoy them all right after that I am going to do two coats of this color here once it dries I will go ahead and peel back that stencil vinyl this is Aura mask 813 and look it oo no bleeds and then I'm just going to weed out all those nooks and crannies of our letters now you can leave it like this but you guys know I always got to do just a little something extra so what I'm going to do is take my IOD molds I'm going to take my air dry clay and I'm going to dust some cornstarch on there first so so we don't have it sticking and once I do that let's see let's get that air dry clay out um you can also use hot glue in your molds as well so that's also an option but I'm just going to stick this clay in there and then I'm just going to rub the excess off to the sides and this mold has these beautiful little birds which I knew would be great then you're just going to get that mold and you are going to pop the those little babies right out I'm going to clean up the edges of them I just wanted them to look a little cleaner now while these are still wet I paint mine I don't know if you're supposed to do it or not but that's how I do so I am going to paint them with that ballerina pink and then I am going to set them aside let them dry once they dry I'm going to come in with a gray wax and dust that over my birds that way all of the little details and let me tell you there are tons of details in these tiny birds it's insane so then taking my starbon glue I'm going to attach those to the side I was having such a difficult time holding these yeah that one plopped right down but look at that little Added Touch for me it is all about details like just that little extra step can take something from That's So Cute to oh my gosh that's gorgeous I need it in my house so you guys that is it for this one it turned out absolutely gorgeous it is one of my favorites out of this video that crackle effect is gorgeous the gray and the pink the Simplicity of it and I think your mom would definitely get the message with this wood sign so I hope you enjoyed it going to start off with a cabinet door I'm going to just use some spackle and I'm going to f fill those holes this is the type that like turns white when it is dry once that is completely dry I am going to go ahead and take a like soft sanding sponge I don't know what this is called but I'm going to take all that excess off and I did this just in case the salt wash didn't do its job but it usually does all right so I'm going to take liquid sunshine I'm going to mix that with kralin I was watching Debbie Beard's recent video and she mixed these two colors and I was like oh my gosh love it this is going to give me a softer yellow than what liquid Sunshine is so I'm going to start by painting the inside frame of my cabinet door and then I am going to take some more paint mix it up and we are going to do salt wash on the outer frame now when you're working with salt wash it is a paint additive it's going to give us a bunch of texture and give us a weathered look a little bit of this goes a long way and I do sell it on my website and 10 oz a kit and then this this big old daddy right there all right so I'm going to take my chippy brush and we're going to stipple that around the entire frame of our cabinet door once I get that to be dried down a little bit I'm going to go back in and I'm going to knock those Peaks down so when you're stippling you're creating almost like these little heels and then when it dries you go back over with that same paintbrush and you knock them down and this is going to give it a more flat almost concrete texture to it once that completely dries I'm going to take this beautiful paint and lay from IOD and I'm going to use my nail to press it in and give me a nice line as to where to cut I made sure that I kept like the breast and the head of the rooster in my picture I will save everything I cut off because you never know when you're going to need those little pieces and now I'm going to layer with Apothecary using my smoothie DIY brush and I don't want to cover the entire frame of this I want that beautiful yellow to peek through so it looks like this sign has been weathered and the different layers of the paint are showing through as it gets older now this smoothie brush seriously made it so easy to paint this cabinet door it holds so much paint it gives you such a smooth finish and you can see how wide it is so I did one full layer of paint then in the middle I'm going in with a second coat and I am doing a healthy coat okay you want your paint to be wet and after I get that coat on there I'm going to Spritz my paint and lay with some water and I'm going to lay it down now you have a couple seconds before that paint infuses so you can see I kind of lift it up and then put it back down I'm going to press that down slowly and you can see right there all right and then you're going to Spritz it with water once again take a paper towel and push that inlay down into your paint now y'all have seen my struggle with paint inlays if you guys were on the live last week I even had some difficulties then too when I used the full sheet like this of the paint inlay I don't usually have issues it's when I use a smaller piece on a b bigger project if that makes sense anyways I'm going to take this um vinyl tool and I'm going to scrape off some of that Apothecary this is going to give me a more like rustic look you can use a wet paper towel or baby wipe and wet distress it but I wanted more of like a chippy look now that our paint inlay is completely dry I'm going to spray that down with some water again Pat that paint and lay down leave it for you know like 15 seconds or so you're trying to reactivate that paper and then we are going to pull back and just watch the magic it seriously looks like the paper is still on there this came out so good and like I said when I'm using a full sheet like this I don't usually have issues with the paint and Lace so oh my gosh do you see that so gorgeous now I'm just going to attach a saw tooth hanger on the back I had to use a drill I save all the stuff I take off of Dollar Tree item so this was a salt tooth hanger from that we're going to put it right smack in the middle we're going to turn this around and then we are going to use our amazing clear DIY wax you can get all these paint products on my website unicorn designs.com and the link is in the description box and then we are going to put that all over and this is how it looks when it is done look at how beautiful and soft that yellow is under there and then that beautiful texture where it looks like there's been like layers of paint built up over the years and now it's kind of withering away and of course that paint inlay is absolutely gorgeous and Beyond detailed like it blows my mind how much detail they get into their products but I love this it's so freshh it's so summery love the color combo with that Apothecary gorgeous we are going to start out with this little number it almost looks like it could be like a hen house maybe a bookshelf I don't know but I got it at Salvation Army for $14.99 and my dad gave me some of these decorative pieces he took off an old dresser and I wanted to match that color so Gypsy green ended up being the right match for that so I cleaned it up and now I'm going to take my smoothie Brush by DIY and y'all if you paint large surfaces this brush is absolutely amazing it covers a lot of of uh real estate and then it also gets on you know like the fine small parts as well so I'm going to paint this entire thing except inside the cubby holes but when I was finished of course there was bleed through so it almost looked like that was water damage there was Grease and then the top was just horrible but I knew what I needed to do and that was take out salvation solution in clear this is a wood stained blocker it's a stain blocker for anything actually and I'm going to brush it on all of the parts that have the bleed through I ended up putting it on everything just in case something came through later after that completely dried I'm going to take my multi-tasker brush and I'm going to do a second coat of that Gypsy green all of the brushes and the paints are available on my website unicorn dust designs.com this multitasker brush literally leaves minimal brush strokes and holds so much pain after that I took a spray bottle and this is where like I watch one YouTube video and think I'm a professional and like can do all this blending stuff but you know what it doesn't hurt to try because it's just paint so I took sandy blonde I wanted to lighten up the green after it was done I was like I'm I'm not digging it I need to add something so I added the sandy blonde I ended up wetting the entire surface blending it in and then wiping it back and this completely lightened the entire thing and I do this everywhere that I put that green Gypsy color now I'm taking a spray bottle and it's mixed with 50/50 liquid sunshine and water and I Spritz that on and then I move it around with my heat gun I wanted this to look like almost like a potting bench you know like it was somebody's in somebody's Garden they put their gardening tools in there pots and it's set out and you know it is starting to weather it has drips on it from the rain that was the look I was going for here and um you'll see that I add flowers later so I start from from the top of the wood pieces so it looks like it's dripping down and then I just catch the drip so it doesn't fall inside the Cubbies and I'm going to do the same process with the side now this might not be everybody's style and that's okay but I'm all about trying new things and I've been really into watching painting furniture on YouTube so you know what I'm going to have fun with it so after that dries I'm going to get the these ladies in waiting it there's like four of these big transfers in the IOD pack and I am going to go ahead and push down on that transfer as I'm lifting the sheet up I'm then going to burnish it and then I do a different color flower on the opposite side of this shelf I'm going to take those little decorative pieces and I'm going to take the quick and thick tight Bond and I'm going to place those on the three pieces of wood that are in the front here after that dries we are going to take DIY clear wax and then I'm going to go in with dark wax so I did the clear wax first that way my dark wax will be more movable for me and I could wipe it back if I'm not digging how dark it's getting but you guys I was digging it okay this gave it like this grungy decrepit look like it has had dirt on it it's weathered the paint's coming off I loved it and after this you guys you guys have to honest opinions it's okay it's all right and how gorgeous did she come out I'm going to name her Lola don't know why but look at the spindles just a great added old touch it was a great way of repurposing these and giving this piece more detail and then we have the drips of the liquid sunshine on there look at how good it looks so decrepit on the sides it makes me so happy and now I want to show you guys the other side with the other color flower and I need to know what you guys think about this down in the comments I really love the way that it turned out I just had to trust the process it might not be everybody's cup of tea like I said before but I am definitely digging it and I'll be happy to have it in my booth for sure so we are going to use the new fall catalog page and oh my gosh what inless amounts of projects you can do with this one sheet of Deco Podge paper I'm going to take this is a random piece of scrap wood I think it is like a maybe a 2x8 and I am going to place that over my Deco pod paper making sure to focus my birds towards the top because I am going to put um a trim piece on the bottom I trace that out and then I cut it then I'm just kind of showing you all the different ways you can kind of like use this paper like that would fit perfectly on a 2x4 so options are endless here all right so for the front of my piece of wood I am going to go ahead and paint the entire thing with white swans so that my paper really pops now something I learned from Roy cycled was using stamps underneath your Deco Podge paper so I'm getting the crackle stamp from IOD and I'm going to put that over my paint now when I Lay My Deco Podge paper on there you're going to see that coming through the paper I thought this was such a great idea cuz like we could have added butterfly stamps anything so as I did in the beginning I am taking a little bit of I'm still using big top on this one and doing it in small sections pushing down with any of my remnants and you could see how easy that was to kind of lift up again and then start over now as I put this down you can already see the crackle stamp coming through that paper and now it just looks a little bit more aged which was what I was going for but like I said I mean you can use any of the stamps and add your own twist on these papers too which is really exciting now after I'm done with that I get all the excess paper off and then I will put another top coat over our Deco podage Paper I'm going to grab letter press and I'm going to grab my salt wash I'm going to mix that up because I want this uh tile block to almost look like a it like it was a pavement stone or I don't know a brick or something like that so with my chippy brush I just am going to stipple that on you could already see all of that texture and what you create with your salt wash that's exactly how it's going to dry down it will not flatten down like baking soda would um it creates these beautiful Peaks and ridges and I mean possibilities are endless so I keep on saying possibilities are endless but they really are so I do this to the all the sides and the back and for the bottom I just paint it with letter press cuz I don't want any of that texture on the bottom and you doesn't this color the letter press dry down to look so much like cement chef's kiss okay now I'm going to take out my trimmings molds my amazing resin which cures in 10 minutes and whenever I bring out my resin I I just pour extra stuff to put in my desk I was trying to use the rest of this bottle so I just started pouring please use gloves I have absolutely none right now at my house so just do as I say not as I do but I'm going to mix a bunch of them now I'm going to take um it was came from the sunflower mold and I'm going to use I started out with Fancy Farm girl and then I switched it over on the second coat to Mona's Garden but y'all I give all the IOD people that hand paint their mold like with beautiful detail so much props because I only used two colors on this thing and it took so much time to be very precise and detailed and not to get the paint like on other I could not imagine doing this over and over again maybe when like my kids are grown and they don't come over anymore I don't know so I popped my trimming mold out before it was all the way cured and I did that because I wanted to be able to take my craft knife and easily cut whatever excess off that I wanted to so don't let it see how it's like still bendable and pliable that's what I was going for so I am just measuring this on the bottom cutting it down to the size that I wanted it to and then it'll come right off um going back to our mold I am taking kissing booth there was like this pinkish red color in the florals on this paper and I wanted to bring that out with this beautiful kissing booth color for the trimming I'm taking liquid Sunshine the birds had this really bright yellow in their wings and their feathers and I wanted to bring that out of the page as well so after I'm done painting I clear everything with Big Top This is going to deepen the color of the DIY paints and keep in mind y'all all the DIY paint products I'm using you can find on my website unicorn dust designs.com as well as the papers Obby now I am taking black wax and black wax isn't a wax that I use very often but there was a bunch of black outlining in the paper and again I'm I'm kind of going with the paper here so I put that on I wipe it back with a paper towel and because I put that Big Top on first it makes wiping back the wax super easy and you could see how it just settles into all the details really makes everything pop now I'm going to take my tight Bond wood glue and we are going to attach our pieces I like to use a paintbrush I don't like I don't like the feeling on my finger of this wood glue so I just take a paintbrush make sure it gets everywhere it needs to and I'm going to have that coming off the top and you can see how it pulls that little pink right there and then I'm going to do the same for the trimming molds um and I'm going to put that on the bottom of our tile block and you guys this turned out so so pretty if you are a reseller these are going to be great items to put in your booth or on your website they make beautiful gifts and I think we're going to do cuz I have another piece of wood we're going to do another one of these on the live for Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. central I look at all of those details and how that looks like a stone look it look at the detail look at the crackle coming through oh my word this paper couldn't get any prettier the molds couldn't either comment down below with a bird if you are going to try this tile piece out I got to tell you I was so inspired by her tiles you need to watch her video into this first one I just want to note that this might seem a little redundant for those of you that watch last week's video because I made multiples of the same thing in hopes of showing you different ways of um using them I guess or decorating them in a sense so if you haven't watched last week's video I will link it down in the description box but we're just going to go for it so I made another one of these boxes it is smaller and size initially I thought that I was going to put it like on a Candlestick um and use it as a riser that way but it ended up being a little too large so there's my backstory so we are going to use Gravel Road on this one and y'all this might seem like it is not doing full coverage for me on this piece of wood but the DIY colors are clay based and they dry down lighter so you'll see right here that as I'm drying it down it is definitely full coverage I love it I'm going to paint the bottom of the box and then the inside and the top of the rim in Gravel Road the outer part of the Box we are going to Deco pod so I'm going to use this beautiful Deco pod paper I do have it in stock and I'm going to do what I usually do I'm going to lay this down on top of the box I'm going to push it down around so that I get an outline of where to cut if I could not waste more paper that is my goal so you'll see as I turn it around the line right there I just cut a little above that line and that way I'm not wasting any of my paper I'm going to grab my liquid patina and if you all haven't tried this Deco bouge medium you are missing out it's just so much smoother than uh mod podge and it's thinner so you're going to have less bubbles less wrinkles It's amazing And you guys ever since I I started using this plastic wrap hack I will never go back ever never so as you saw I laid the liquid patina down then I applied My Deco page paper smoothed it out with our plastic wrap and then I will continue continue that same process on to the next side I also found that while I was drying down the paper using that plastic wrap to smooth out any wrinkles while drying worked fabulously I'm going to do this all the way around um and as I go on each side I'm going to use my finger sander and I'm am going to sand in downward motions make sure it is Thoroughly dry or you are going to rip that beautiful Deco Podge paper which we don't want to do now taking that liquid patina I'm going to seal all around our paper and I am also going to use it to seal our paint now I don't know why I don't reach for this more as a sealer because it does it's a matte sealer so big top is going to give you a little bit of a Sheen and liquid patina is going to give you your matte color so if you're not like a wax fan um and you still want the matte look liquid patina is going to be your go-to once that's completely dry I'm going to get this piece of Hardware this is a pool and I got it from Hobby Lobby and I always wait until they're 50% so this one was actually $5 and I found these little screws in my stash cuz for whatever reason the holes on this thing were tiny and I am just going to screw those in by hand and I love how rustic this box turned out and I didn't put any legs on it I thought the hardware and The Deco Podge paper did it justice so if you guys want to see how I built this box again that's in last week's video um I just show you how to do it on um a bigger scale but I love the way this turned out next one is going to be um 8x4 I had pre-stained this and never used the piece of wood so you know use what you got and I'm going to paint this with linen white by restum now remember you guys if you don't have wood on hand you can make all these signs using Dollar Tree items so keep that in mind um so we are going to paint the fronts and the sides I'm not going to paint the back cuz the wood is stained it looks presentable so I figured it was good to go next I'm going to take this Ma oh sorry I took it outside sanded it down with 220 grit sandpaper that way I got all of those brush strokes and it left me with a nice clean smooth surface so we don't have any bleeds under our stencil vinyl now I use Ora mask 813 stencil vinyl and I use transfer e transfer tape both of these are in my Amazon store located in my description box so we're going to take that off I just just eyeball things you guys I'm not a measure person uh so you know sometimes things come out crooked it is what it is but this one it's cursive so I mean you can't really mess up now I'm taking the new blue from Waverly you guys I forgot what it's called night sky I think but I will tell you it looks exactly like n Tucket Blue from folkart so if you do have that in your collection you do not need to run out and buy this color um but I am just using my stencil brush from Dollar Tree usually I would use my foam roller on something this big however since I had such a small container of this paint I didn't want to waste it so I decided to go with the stencil brush I'm going to do two coats of this paint on here we are going to let it dry in between coats I just use my heat gun on my cool setting then we peel it off and it's the Magnificent reveal when there's no bleeds and it looks fantastic so we're going to weed all of our nooks and crannies out I do spray it with a clear matte by rrum I sprayed it twice to healthy coats now I attach my de hooks these are also in my Amazon um link and I love de hooks for things for signs you're going to hang things on because they have a lot of weight and you don't have to worry about it going crooked on you next I'm going to take these little clips and I'm going to screw them in now you can use twine and then just staple it to the back or hot glue it if you're using like a Dollar Tree sign and then use Clos pin I like these they're a little bit more heavy duty it kind of looks cleaner to me just watch when you're screwing these in because as you're holding it in place when you put the screw in it kind of moves your clip just a little bit so keep that in mind but I am going to put five total on here I am keeping this for myself and I am putting it in my workspace because my kids always bring me down uh their coloring pages so this would be such a great present for a mom with a kid you know like in um Elementary School you can change mom's brag board to an's brag board so so many ways you can go with this and I love it and that's why I'm keeping it for our next one we're going to take one of those 2x8s that I cut up last week and I cannot claim that this was my original idea I actually saw somebody at the Lewisburg Market Street have these um and I thought I would try my hand so I think I'm going through a blue phase cuz I feel like I've been painting everything blue I'm using Petal Pusher and I have not used this in quite some time but it is absolutely beautiful dried down and it is a perfect color for spring so I'm just taking my chippy brush and I am going sorry you guys the little dog is barking like crazy and I'm going to do a messy coat the front and the back is stained so it looks perfect and look at how that looks dried down yes ma'am so we're going to dry that down I'm going to take my texture stamp and y'all this stamp actually comes with four little like 6x6 sheets on it and you get so much use out of this one I'm going to use this bigle bigle crackle bigger crackle and this gives you the illusion like we applied like a crackle medium underneath our paint without actually having to do that so I put it on the front and since this is a shelf sitter I am also going to put it on the top and the sides I don't think it's necessary to put it on the back but to each their own and once I'm done with the crackle I'm going to go into the butterflies stamp I've actually never used the dragonfly in here so we are going to just place that right on top of the crackle the crackle didn't have very thick lines so I felt like okay layering on top of it cuz those crackle lines did not show through the dragonfly or the butterflies that I'm going to put on here as well I thought this was just a fun spring DIY I know some of you have old Hardware you can use so this is going to be perfect for home decor and resell now make sure though these butterfly stamps some of them have little names on the bottom so make sure you uh wipe those off with a baby wipe I'm just going to screw our little Cup pool in place I got this also from Hobby Lobby 50% off and then going to take florals you could use whatever florals you want I am using these from Dollar Tree and I am going to just play around with the placement first then I thought about taking the hot glue and kind of filling the bottom but that was a sticky mess I did try it um so I ended up just getting the Stick of the flower at the bottom applying the hot glue to the back of it and then sticking it in there so that the floral would actually like adhere to the wood and not move around once that was to my liking I grabbed a little bit of Spanish moss and put some hot glue down in there and then stuffed that down this kind of like covered up all like the gaps and the holes in like the cup pool and then covered up the base of the stems which I liked and look at how cute this turned out you guys like I can imagine this in so many different colors so many different pools flowers I mean the options are endless with this one and I think that this would be a really really great resell item but I mean home decor as well so I hope you enjoy so I got this piece of wood they come in a five pack from Hobby Lobby I am taking that salt wash and I am just putting it in very random spots on the piece of wood when you order the salt wash it actually comes with a pamphlet of how to achieve different looks like weathered wood so I cannot wait you guys when I have access to my wood and everything to try this out on all different forms of wood so as you can see totally random I'm stippling it on I really want a lot of that texture on there and then once it dries I'm taking that milk paint again this is milk paint from the previous DIYs I did these all in the same day I was like totally vibing all of this stuff if you couldn't tell and I'm not trying to cover the entire piece of wood I am just coating it I want to see some of that wood through there maybe some of that white in the chiffon color and it is so pretty you guys so you could use any kind of color color combo you can mix the salt wash with any color and now I'm taking my rough sander I would have used like my orbital sander if I knew where it was but the sanding block work just fine and you can start seeing when you sand you're going to sand some of that paint off that was on top of your salt wash and it is going to look like layers and layers of paint have chipped away over the years that's the kind of weathered wood look it's going to give you now we are going to grab IOD stamps you could use vinyl you can use stencils up to you but I am taking these stamps and I am going to spell out before putting it on I'm going to spell out what I want on here so I'm going to use this one and then I'm actually going to break out the cursive stamps as well and I will show you how you layer these on top of each other um they're a little trickier to work with and you do have to go one by one but they are absolutely beautiful I don't find myself using them often just because they are like a on a larger scale so I'm using my kitchen cutting mat from Dollar Tree to adhere my stamps to I'm using Black Ink I'm just going to turn that on around now I hold my stamps down with one hand then I had lifted it up and I was like okay it's not showing as much as I want so that's when I get my finger and I'm pushing the ink and the stamp down so that it gets in all of the grooves of the wood and now it looks really vibrant but it still looks distressed so now with the cursive you got to go one by one you're going to lay it down then you're going to take your second stamp and where the tail comes out of your first letter you're going to overlap it with your next letter and the same thing you're going to grab that U and where the tell of the O is you're going to overlap it with the U and so forth so it's really easy to do um you just have to do it one by one that's the only difference um but it's still looks gorgeous and this is going to look very similar to the sign we did last week it's just different techniques so now I'm going to take that same paint and lay we did last week and I'm going to use polyacrylic so cuz a lot of you are probably like you already painted it how are you going to use those well when I was researching how to make the the mercury glass for that one window we did um somebody actually used polyacrylic with the paint inlays to get the paint inlay look without having to use a paint color underneath it so I was like you know what we're going to give it a try right now so I grabbed waterbased polyacrylic I'm going to place it down I put my paint inlay over it and then I'm going to Spritz it with water and I'm going to dab it off now if you don't have paint and La you can use napkins for Deco page you can print your own images on tissue paper which I have shown you before um options are are are endless as to other things that you can use besides paint and Lace so I am just putting these randomly throughout my sign and I am just cutting my images to fit where I want it to and this is is going to seriously act just like it would if we were putting this on top of an actual paint color um but now we're just getting the Roses like it's just a clear base so after it completely dries I'm going to Spritz it with water once again dab it off I'm going to let it set for like 2 minutes then we're going to come back in and look at this you guys and all of that paint that's left on that paper we could use that paper again but oh my gosh exactly what I was going for now I'm just going to take polyacrylic since that's what we used to begin with and I'm going to go ahead and just cover the entire front and the back with this it's going to seal everything in and you guys the salt wash is going to be something I'm going to use really often on this channel especially when I start having access to my wood again because the amount of layering that it gives is stunning and this will be available on my website for purchase unicorn dust designs.com and you can see you guys how it looks like that paint inlay has like been through 50 years of like weather outside and how it looks like all of the like this sign has been painted blue it's been painted white someone added flowers along the way it's gorgeous I love it I hope you guys got inspired by this video all right we're doing another tray this is a 1x10 and it's 16 in in length there's no particular reason why it's that long this is just a scrap piece of wood and then the upper the like handle looking parts are 1 by tws now you could flip this on around and actually use this as like a riser but we are making it a tray so I am actually going to use the jrv cottage color inh blue I had seen somebody in a Facebook group talking about this color and I was like you know what I don't think I've ever opened up my can so um I did two coats on the entire piece and then I'm going to go into the LA campagne I think that's how it's pronounced stamp I knew I wanted to go with the rooster I loved this flower but it just was not fit it was just too large it wasn't fitting with my idea so I'm going to start out with the rooster I'm using the IOD black permanent ink to start off I ink it up and then I hold it down with one hand while I push down to make sure I get all of that ink and that detail down on to my board then I'll kind of do a little peek sorry you guys Hank is restless if you guys could hear him walking I'll check that and look at that you guys the close-up detail on this stamp is killer and then I'm going to grab this one from the Antiquity stamp I like that it almost looked like a like a branding stamp or something like that and then to fill in all of that bare space I grabbed kindest regards and I actually used the stone gray on this I wanted it lighter and I did put the masks over the already stamped pieces you'll you'll see me put it back over but most of your stamps almost all of them come with a mask so you lay that over in order to layer your stamps on top of each other um and it looks absolutely gorgeous I let this dry for a few hours and then I will go in with big top and seal now the jrv jrv cottage colors have built in sealers but we still need to seal that ink I know it's permanent but I would still seal it so I do two coats of the Big Top since I feel like this is um a high traffic item hi traffic nobody's walking on it you guys are picking up what I'm putting down and next I'm going to grab some of these handles these were also 50% at Hobby Lobby I'm like finally digging through my stash you guys okay these I've had forever so who knows if they're the same price and then some old screws that were in my stash as well and that completes this super easy tray and you guys I did miss you need to put some Nails on the back of like the little on by tws okay but look at the detail on this it's absolutely gorgeous thank you guys for hanging out with me for this wood DIY video I hope it sparked some inspiration for you to use some of that scrap wood in your garage have a great day wood lovers I just wanted to remind you that I do have a website the link is always located at the top of my description box on my videos this is where I have all the goodies I have JPEG mpng files paints IOD salt wash I have my Roy cycle papers even resin castings that are already made so tons of goodies on the website again the link will always be in the description box at the top and with that said let's go ahead and get back into this video and make sure to like And subscribe if you're enjoying I'm going to use these old like Barnwood pieces I think the last time I used them was Christmas and I cut them up and then threw the rest to the side so now we are going to put them to use using the lattice Rose paint and lay uh like I said before you guys uh whatever I have in stock of these that's all there is and then they will never come back so get your hands on them now all right so I'm going to take this one which I already used on another project and then a second uh design of the paint inlay and this one is like a brand new sheet so it has not been used on another project beforehand I love the paint inlays where the entire sheet is a print cuz it makes it so much easier to use so because we want to keep that beautiful chippy look I'm not going to paint over these I am going to use my liquid patina which is a matte finish I Spritz the paint inlay with some water and then I'm going to take that water bottle once again Spritz the top Pat it down I'm going to do the same thing for our second piece of wood lay down that liquid patina a healthy coat Spritz our paint inlay and then I'm going to lay that on down I also found that um instead of using the paper towel to push it down using the plastic wrap like we do with Deco Podge paper works very well too so now we're going to set these aside we're going to let them dry you'll see that your paper turns white again when it's dry so we're going to mist these up you want them wet because if you tried pulling them off dry it would be a hot mess I'm going to push that water into our paint inlay now you'll see when I peel this one back remember I used this one on a prior project didn't really get the paint release which just tells me that it actually released on that first one pretty dang good so for the second one though look at how gorgeous this is it almost looks like a vintage wallpaper on this chippy wood I love it so I wasn't satisfied with this piece so what I did was took some scrap pieces these are new pieces so they were not used on a project before for and I am just going to put these in random places on my piece of wood laying them down and then spritzing them with water and my little one is calling me I will be right back I am back her sister is distracting her for the meantime so we'll do the last one let it dry and then you can see I did the same steps how much better that came out so now one of them had just like a little split on the side so I'm going to put some Gorilla Glue in there and then I'm going to kind of open it up so it gets down in there I'm going to tape it off with some painters tape very tight and then I'm going to let that dry once it dries we are going to take some Sal tooth hangers I usually get these at Walmart however I have not purchased them in a long time so I don't know if they're still there but we are going to apply Sal tooth hangers to both of these cuz we are going to use these as towel coat hangers and now I'm grabbing this is actually like a a farmhouse hook it was black I spray painted it with Ivory satin and then just distressing it down so it goes with the wood and doesn't look all new so I am going to find my middle point of the piece of wood including the little trim on the side and once I get it where I want usually I would just screw the screws right in but this wood was so tough you guys so what I had to do was I put the hook on there and then I'm going to take a permanent marker and I'm going to Mark where my holes are I will then take my hook back off get my drill and I'm going to pre-drill my holes now I'm able to screw my screws in here and these turned out absolutely fabulous I feel like we really kept with the old charm of this chippy beautiful paint and I want to note I did clear these with clear Matt by Rustoleum I did two coats I love that these look like old wallpaper that are like starting to peel off these are absolutely beautiful and a great use for some old Wood's to so I'm taking this footboard this weathered piece of wood and we are going to measure this so that it fits in inside the two legs of the footboard so I'm going to measure it Mark it off I'm going to go ahead and use my saw and we are going to cut that in piece off easy peasy and then I just make sure it fits which it does now actually I saw this on diy beauty on purpose my competitor and um she just took a spatula was dipping it in the paint and then kind of rubbing it on so that it gave it more of like a chipped wood effect I didn't want this to be all red so I decided to do it this way and then I Pat it down with a rag okay so now I'm taking linen white by Rustoleum we are taking this heavy duty uh chalk paint brush and I am going to coat this entire thing so the front and the back I do give the front two coats of paint and I only gave the back one coat of paint because to be honest I was running out of paint so there's that all right so now that that's almost dry you guys and I say almost dry I'm getting a baby wipe and I'm distressing where I think it would naturally dstress now the more pressure you put on the more paint you're going to take off and then um make sure you're switching out your baby wipes or you're just going to keep smearing the paint over itself basically so you want to make sure that I probably used for this whole thing like f five baby wipes so keep that in mind when you are using the wet distress method here I love the way that it comes out and I love that you have more control over how you are distressing your piece and how much distressing you're putting on there so I'm not going to put you through the torture of watching me do all of that so I continue to distress the footboard and then we are going to move on to Simply putting de hooks on the back of these I'm just going to screw it on that side the opposite side that's what we're going to use to hang and they hang up to 50 lbs look at my Batman and my mom he's so stinking cute okay so now I'm sorry this angle is horrible you guys but I'm taking the gorilla glue and I put it on the base of that footboard then I put my weathered piece of wood up against it and now I'm I did so good though you guys I'm using my nail gun and I was eyeballing where I was going to put this but it all turned out okay only one nail came out the front so we were good all right now taking this uh it's kind of like a silk screen um stencil I got this from Joan some time ago and it works incredibly so I am taking n Tucket blue my stencil Brush by Dollar Tree and I am just going to um stencil that on hash du all right and then after we're done with that while it's still wet I peel it back and you guys that's it that's all there is to it it's done this piece turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined I love the Simplicity of it I love how you can take one person's trash and make it treasure again and make it something amazing and it's definitely a statement piece and I can't wait to see it in somebody else's home one day last one so this is an 8 by8 or if you wanted to get technical 7.25 by7 .25 and I am going to paint it with plaster once again now this time I am doing a nice clean coat so I don't want this to be distress looking so I do two good coats of this and then I'm going to grab um some napkins that my girlfriend Holly sent to me they are so gorgeous and I thought the eucalyptus branches were too thick so I ended up cutting the branch in half so that I could use one on the top and one on the bottom so I cut that I take the two ply apart and then I'm going to take my Cricut scissors these are actually great for detail work and I'm going to cut all of the excess white off you want to cut as much of that off as possible our background is white so it's not going to be like too crazy if you don't get everything then I'm going to get our Mod Podge I'm going to put a thin layer to start off I like to put Mod Podge on my piece not the napkin cuz then it gets crazy and then I'm going to Pat this down now I was watching um the DIY struggle Brandy and she actually uses a sponge to like pat down her Deco Podge um which is pretty genius I need to get that I'll attach her down below so you guys can check her out uh but I'm going to do this to the bottom and then I'm also going to do the same thing to the top of this now I decide to clear mine with my clear Spar urethane I I don't know what I think it looks better than Mod Podge um Mod Podge you could definitely use it I just feel like it looks um gunier or like filmy I don't know how to explain it but I just I like the look of this clear better so after that I take the design I made this is also in the membership group and I'm going to stick that on with black permanent vinyl says the only thing better than having you as my mom is my children having you as their Grandma so after that I'm going to take some Rafia and we are going to wrap that around our hands about three times and then we will take another piece and just wrap it around the center don't for you get don't forget in June I will come out with a stepbystep B tutorial um that will be in real time and it'll go over all these bows that I use commonly in my videos so that bow was a little too plain so I grabbed some more Rafia and I'm going to kind of cut it into strips and then attach it to the back of this bow and just do another wrapping of Rafia in the middle easy peasy now you can attach a Sawtooth hanger twine to this whatever you want I like it as a freestanding sign I just feel like it could go more places so I'm just going to hot glue my Rafia bow to this and we are done I am going to send this to my mom I think it's so beautiful I love that green the bow adds just another little touch to it so you guys I hope you enjoyed these Mother's Day wood signs I hope they inspired you and got your creative juices flowing and I all right for this one we are using a 6x6 piece of wood Everett is the one that chose the image so we are going with these two beautiful birds now this Deco piece had these little like splatter pieces on them so I didn't want to cut super close to the birds I wanted to keep all of that beautiful color in so I'm taking a wet paintbrush and I'm just kind of going around it in a fluid motion I'm not trying get straight lines I want it to look like torn paper and I'm going to follow that all the way around this image and you could really just have fun with this all right now things are going to get weird we're going to flip that decopage paper over and we are going to paint it white yes we are painting the back white I was watching sonnet's garden and blue and she did this in order to not have to paint the front of her piece white this is going to allow The Deco Podge paper to still pop without having to paint the actual piece so I paint the back while that is drying I'm going to take our 6x6 piece of wood and this trimming y'all you can get this beautiful trimming at Home Depot they range from like $1.99 up to $5.99 this one was $1.99 or something and I'm going to mark that off I'm going to take my little table saw or miter saw whatever it is and I am going to cut that this Cuts so easily it took me like three little swipes and it was good I sand off the edges and then I am going to also cut a second piece I'm going to take our wood glue and I'm going to glue those to the top this is a great way of adding some easy detail to wood signs for not a hefty price price tag yeah I know it's so pretty huh all right so once that sets up more new colors you guys I'm using Avary I have been wanting this color forever y'all and I finally got it it is stunning I'm going to paint this entire wood piece with Avary the front the back the sides all of these are going to be free standing signs they do not need any Sawtooth hangers on the back of them and uh of course I have to show you what it looks like as it dries down this green is everything I have Mona's Garden that one's a lot darker this one is definitely like woo I love it I love it all right so now that we have this painted we're going to take our decopage paper and since I added the trimming on here I'm going to have to cut a little bit off which is no problem I just take that craft knife and butt it up against that trim and cut my excess off then just like we did in the previous one I am going to take that liquid patina and I'm going to start from the bottom and then work my way up with it now liquid patina is different than Mod Podge in its consistency this has more of like a polyacrylic like consistency it's very thin versus Mod Podge which is going to be a lot thicker after I get that done I go over the entire piece with the liquid patina it is used for Deco podge and you could use it as a top coat as well once we are done and it's dry I y'all know I had to take this dark wax to bring the details out in this molding so I stipple it on I push it down into those beautiful details grab my paper towel and I'm going to wipe that back and right away look at how much more that pops um I'm going to buff some of that dark wax into the sides as well then I'm like you know what I want to see how it looks around the image and at first I thought I was just going to put it like around the image and buff it out but it ended up kind of getting all over the place so I just went with it and then buffed it out into the entire um image and sign and I'm glad that I did it because it made it look a little bit more vintage and worn and this turned out very beautiful the details in the Roy cycle Deco Podge papers are absolutely insane they are so very easy to use um again I got this on sonnet's garden and Bloom and there are you saw the sheet of paper in the beginning there are tons of bird images on this one sheet I love that it looks like torn paper and all of the beautiful details that pop with that dark wax M's going to say it's trash there's a piece of wood right there sitting right on top of that little stack and it needs to be a sign so to start off you guys I ordered this rice paper off of Amazon and it is absolutely fabulous sorry my garage door is opening I am doing this voiceover over the weekend so it's chaotic in the house um but I'm going to take a block of wood that was left over from the previous wood video and I'm going to paint this with cake batter I'm going to do the front the sides all around on here I'm going to get that rice paper all of the graphics that I use in these DIYs are from Graphics fair.com I'll leave the link down in the description box and all I searched was like vintage people or something like that I am trying to use some Dollar Tree like uh craft scissors and they just were not doing the best job here so I just I went with it and let it happen it didn't need to be perfect cuz that's not what this DIY was all about and I'm going to take my liquid patina y'all this rice paper oh my gosh it's not too thin it's not too thick it is absolute perfection so I applied my liquid patina on the bottom in sections laid that rice paper down smoothed it out with that plastic wrap repeated the process for the other side as well I do want want to note that I did spray the rice paper with clear matte by rum just because I had printed the paper and I was I didn't have the patience to wait for it to dry and I didn't have any issues with the ink bleeding at all now I'm going to take that liquid patina and I'm going to go over the entire piece of this wood and go over the rice paper image as well liquid patina is going to give me the matte finish that I want a big top will give you a little bit of Sheen um and so I wanted the matte finish for this after that completely dries I'm going to take fabric from my old pillow case I I hate that I like repeat that all the time but I know it's going to be the one time that I don't say where I got this from that a lot of people are going to ask so I recycle my pillow cases that I use on the couch and um cut out the back sides cuz the front usually has um an image on it and I repurpose it so I cut this down to size and then because this doesn't easily Fray I have to get my weeding tool and pull uh the fabric out and I'm going to do that all the way around this piece now I'm going to take my Apothecary stamp and youall I have gotten so much use out of this stamp these blocks alone will pay for these stamps because um they are fabulous they come with four fonts and um these I do have in stock but again once these are sold out on my website I will not be able to order any more until June cuz they are completely sold out on the warehouse in the warehouse so make sure to get yours so I'm laying out all of my words first then I'm going to apply my permanent Black Ink on top of them and I'm going to press them down very firmly since we are using fabric on there I got all of my quotes just by searching like Google search and then just match them up to the pictures to make some fun quirky little blocks so I am going to repeat that all the way on the top and you guys this takes some time cuz you really have to play around with the stamps and the placement of them once I I was done with all of these stamps I'm going to take these gold thumb tacks that I got from Walmart and I'm going to put that on all four corners just to add a little bit of detail to this wood block but of course I'm not done I'm going to take the textures stamp which I do have in stock and I am going to coat that with some black ink and I'm going to put that around the entire wood block just to make it look aged and distressed now that wood pile that we saw in the the beginning of these DIYs we cut those down to size and these I'm not going to paint the wood is beautiful I want these to look aged and old so we are leaving them as is I'm going to take this other beautiful angel photo and I'm going to cut the little vessel off the bottom because I didn't need it it wasn't going to fit on there either way and we are going to repeat the process now the rice paper is thick enough where I don't have to paint white on the back of this like I do Deco Podge paper to make it pop um so I just go right in with that liquid batina and then do my thing I am also of course going to put a coat of that over our image and the entire block of wood I cut my fabric I Fray it and then this step I did not show you in the first one but I take my glue gun and I put a thin bead of hot glue down this is going to keep our Fabric in place and it's going to hold it nice and tight I the tax wouldn't do it for us here just make sure it's thin so that that hot glue does not come through your fabric now again we're going to play around with placement now you guys these DIYs are going to be great for those of you that do craft shows that have a booth and these they going to be so much fun to do with friends and family or even gift them seriously for any occasion cuz you could put any quote you want on these so um I had to get crafty and I used the exclamation sign for the percentage and the periods in this stamp set and it worked out fabulously but like I said it takes quite a while to like stamp your entire quote down onto the fabric now for this one I'm going to use look at Everly decided she wanted to craft with me so she's painting little fairy doors and we're going to screw them onto the trees outside so that'll be a lot of fun so for this wood block since it looks aged and old I got these um like aged brass Furniture um you guys are picking up penss whatever and I'm going to hammer those down to all four and then that's going to complete this would block now I'm going to show you another version I won't like repeat all the processes but again using that aged wood that I found outside now this is going to be a bigger block and I was okay with that because I was going to use a longer image and I was going to do something different with it so I utilized my entire piece of rice paper here I resized them on my Silhouette Design Studio that is free you guys guys you do not need a silhouette vinyl cutter in order to download that program and use it to resize images um and then I'm just going to cut the image that I want out I think these are cat ears Not bunny ears but I don't know she looks sassy and I absolutely loved her so we are going to keep that picture big I'm not cutting anything off of it we're going to repeat this up with our liquid patina hearing it on and cover ing the entire piece of wood now with the quote that I'm using for her it is like a sassy quote and I thought you know what I'm going to use some kind of ribbon so I pulled out this gold ribbon and I was like I think this is two bougie for our old piece of wood and our old image so I found this ribbon from Dollar Tree and I was like this is perfection perf Perfection I couldn't there we go fection okay and I am going to just line the um the image with my hot glue and then do the ribbon now I'm not going outside the lines of this image at all I am using the image to perfectly cut my ribbon out and then I'm just going to overlap them on the side I thought I was going to get some of those push pins and put them in all four corners but it was just too much and this was totally working for me so I left it as is I'm going to do the other two sides and oh we got to show you Everly's little door real quick look at how cute that is she's such a great little artist now I thought the um Apothecary stamps come with four size fonts and I thought I could go bigger with this because it's a bigger piece of fabric but it's still just wasn't fitting so we had to Resort back to our um the previous size stamp that we used which was totally fine I feel like it adds some cohesiveness to it but you guys I had so much fun creating these and I know you guys will too it's a great way to use St scrap pieces of wood and these are all about like 2x8s and then I just cut them down to random ROM sizes and sized my photos to the size of my wood so let's check out how these turned out look at how cute so you can paint your wood like we did here this one has that crackle on it and it says valuable antiques our dear old friends fits the image very well and then we have our sassy girl over here the framed ribbon fits perfectly and this one says be a stiletto in a room of flats and then we have our Angel which says I am 99% Angel but oh that 1% aren't these so much fun you guys okay we're going to start off with this 2x8 this was actually a shelf that we took out of my booth and I just cut it down to a random size I am dipping into vintage mint from jrv Cottage colors and I'm going to do two coats front back and all of the sides just a messy coat doesn't have to be perfect I wanted to do two coats because I am going to sand this down so I want it to have some different layering and y'all if the announcements wouldn't stop coming there are going to be six new Cottage colors coming at at the end of March so look out because they literally do not disappoint and I think you're going to be super surprised so now I'm going to go into the garage and I am using 400 grit sandpaper I'm going to go over the sides and then I'm going to go over the top of this as well and this is just going to bring that wood stain back out and then it's even going to start showing do you see how like that wood grain is coming back through it is stunning so after I'm done with this I am going to clean this off I clean it off with a cloth and then I'm going to clean it off with a paper towel as well to get all of that residue and then you guys don't don't hate me please but I'm going back into this Desperado transfer it is retired from IOD but since I did that nightstand I have totally been vibing this whole like theme I guess you could say so I am taking my transfer and I am pushing down with the little plastic applicator it comes with as I pull up on my backing here I'm going to do that all the way down the transfer paper does have a little tack to it so it will stay in place for the most part I'm going to travel all the way down with that and then once I get that done I'm going to take a piece of that backing and I'm going to burnish that image in this is just going to make sure that that that transfer is adhered to that wood and you don't have like any pieces kind of like poking up or you know things like that so I went back and forth on the next part but I decided to go with it so on the right side I decided to add this little guy I thought it was very fitting and once you see the handles on this tray it just all comes together and y'all this is an expens inexpensive way I would say to make a high profit dollar amount if you want to resell these because you can take one 2x8 and you can make a lot of these trays all different ways even if you just painted them and sanded them and put handles on them so I am going to clear this with big top and although the jrv cottage colors have a built-in sealer we still have to seal that transfer now I'm going to take this beautiful belt that I found at the thrift store you guys look at the florals on it oh my gosh is was that not just perfect I'm going to use my fabric scissors and I am going to kind of just figure out how tall I want this and I going to cut these down to size and I'm am going to just line them up once I cut one side down I'll just line them up next to each other and then cut the other one so that I know that I have the right size on both sides I actually got this idea from Bri all right now I'm taking these uh Furniture tacks or pens and or upholstery pens and I'm going to put them through that belt and then I'm just going to use my hammer and put those on in there I didn't put any kind of adhesive under this this should definitely hold our Handles in place you guys this is the only belt I had but now I want to find a ton more and make a ton more of these to put in my booth because look at this this is my favorite wood DIY out of all of them today I love the distressing and how like the wood and the color Peaks through those florals and then the addition of the repurposed belt I mean it couldn't get any better let me know what you think about this tray down in the comments and if you are going to use that belt idea for some hand ever we're taking an 18in wood round I'm taking Golden Oak by Rustoleum we're going to staint the front the back and the sides I was inspired by someone I saw on Facebook however I cannot find the post or the picture um but I am going to pop this out in the sunshine and it will take about 10 minutes to dry up then we are taking a transfer from the willow IOD transfer packet and this fit the curve of this wood round so well how however I didn't like how this piece I'm cutting off was sticking up and outwards so I cut it off for now I'm going to lay that transfer down on my piece and I'm going to start pushing down on my transfer this transfer did very well over the stain I usually do not clear my items before putting a transfer on however it doesn't always work out but neither does it when you put a clear coat either so you do you all right but it worked we're good so after doing that I'm going to burnish it as well to make sure that it's stuck there now I'm going to take that other transfer and I'm going to find the placement I want to put on it so I'm going to cut it down just a little bit more and I didn't even have to I mean it looked good that way but I decided to put it on there and then of course fnish it and we are done with that transfer next step is taking big top which is our clear coat this is like a polyacrylic it's water-based it's food safe I'm going to put two coats on the front and one coat on the rest of it I Envision this being like a tray that somebody is going to put candles on and a book or a little like trinket dish that was my vision going into this not necessarily for a wall hanger but it could be a wall hanger you could add words or whatever you wanted to the left side but I was definitely seeing a tray so that was such an easy wood summer DIY and what's nice is that that print that's on the right side you can still show that well like it's on your table and then put all the decorative pieces on the plain woods so comment with a flower if you like go into that Willow transfer again I can't believe I have this many of them left because they're gorgeous I'm going to use three of the birds that come in this packet and we're going to take a bunch of random pieces of wood that were in the garage I'm going to start off with prom queen and skeleton key and I'm just going to put half and half on my brush just to see what kind of look we get it gave us like a little streaky look I'm I'm not hating it but when it dried down it was definitely more lighter than I wanted it so I Gra grabbed letter press and I ended up spritzing it with some spritzing the block with water and then putting the letter press on which is a lighter gray and that darkened it up just a tad bit so I did paint the front the back the sides it's a freestanding side so make sure to paint the back and now I'm going to add some stamps I wanted to make the bird look like it was standing on a branch so I stamped that then I placed my bird and this came off so easy after the bird I'm going to grab some Leaf stamps just to add that little extra detail and I'm going to put the stamp on the three little Twigs that are sticking out on the right side and I also curve the stamp so it goes around the wood sign and looks cohesive I also put one on this top part because it was way too plain and then this little bundle of flowers right there and y'all know I'm extra so I couldn't stop there I put a border on the top and the bottom for whatever reason this was screaming like it book like it was meant to be a book but I didn't make it I stopped all right you guys know I love playing around with color and Cherry Picked is not a color I use often here I don't think I've ever used it really and uh it is going to be one of my fall colors so make sure you snag this up I'm going to paint the front the back and the sides and of course I have to show you how it looks dried down when I saw this color dried down it screamed like sophisticated to me it doesn't look like Royal Purple or that gy purple it is gorgeous so we're going to paint the rest of it I'm going to get this Berry transfer again out of the same booklet and we are going to put that down on and then we're going to layer this neutral bird over top it and let me tell you this neutral bird against that Cherry Picked and those berries looks amazing I couldn't Envision it any other way now that it's all put together look at that I thought about putting something on the bottom right but I was like no leave it alone like it looks so good and now of course there's another one you guys one more so can you tell this was a leftover piece of wood I'm taking old school this is another oops one you guys taking old school school I put my transfer on well the transfer is not sticking to my paint and I it it's starting to lift the paint a little so then I decide I'm going to grab big top and I'm going to clear my piece so I do that I get another transfer put that on well this time the transfer is pulling up the paint you can't see it there but it's like you can see the the big top is peeling off so I kind of clean it up and I try once again and this time a little bit of it came off but it was also like ripping the transfer so it kind of looked unfinished so then I have to go back to the drawing board what can I hide the top part with so I grabbed this red floral well guess what it didn't stick so at this point I'm like okay how can I save this I'm going to I'm going to distress it if all else FS you guys just distress it so I distressed the sides and then the front I'm going to wipe that back and then I grabbed another flower and it stuck okay and I'm like okay this is good this is good I grabbed the bird transfer and I'm like if I waste this transfer I am just going to oh my God you know but it went on effortlessly and so then I grabbed my sanding block cuz I wanted it all to go and I distressed on top of the bird as well and look how cute that looks I did add one more piece of the Green Leaf over the top right sorry that's I don't know why I filmed that um and then I'm just going to grab my clear Wax By DIY and I am going to clear all of my pieces the front the back and the sides you can also use big top or you could use your liquid batina to clear your items as well I do this with all four of them starting from lightest to darkest because sometimes the DI wax carries with the darker ones and look at how gorgeous these turned out scrap wood I put a bunch of different elements together I had an oopsy moment but we fixed it as we always do and I had fun playing around with the colors especially look at that Cherry Picked it is so pretty I am happy with all of these I hope you you guys enjoyed this Summer Wood DIY video make sure to check out the playlist down in the description box havet door I've had it forever and I've been saving it for just the right piece I did not even have to paint this y'all it was just perfection so I'm taking the new Prestige stamp and I am going to lay this out I didn't want to waste your time cuz it literally took me forever to space it out lay it out and figure out what I wanted but what is great about the new stamps is that they printed the images onto the masks so it seriously makes it so easy to form your layout um so I'm going to lay my stamps out here and then using our stamp Mount these are available on the website I was able to pick up all four stamps at the same time talk about easy DIY and upcycle so I am going to use the black ink once again this is permanent ink by IOD I have in stock black tomato China blue and stone gray right now I'm going to flip that on over and while holding a part of the mount with one hand I'm going to press down on the stamp with the other one I don't want to press too hard because I don't want to smear the ink on this it's kind of a slick surface um because the cabinet door is painted so I'm just being nice and gentle with it making sure I get all of my details in there and then I'm going to lift this on up and that's when the magic happens because these stamps make everything look so beautiful all right so I do the same thing to the opposite side lifting my masks as I put the stamps down that way I don't lose my placement and then I going to repeat that same step of just flipping it on over using our ink and then flipping it back down I absolutely love how this turned out I thought so much about adding more details or flowers or crackle or cup hooks so somebody could do like their teacups on but then I was like you know what let somebody else kind of put their own touch on it because I think it looks beautiful just as like a sign in an entryway or over a beautiful bench so many possibilities so I am going to now put some stamps inside the cloes I decided I was going to leave the bird cages as is and then just accessorize the inside of the closes now the closes don't need any kind of masks in them at all at this point so I using the books for the taller clo and then I am going to use this little it's like an egg cup but you can use it however you want and we are going to stamp that up put that on the bottom and then we are going to grab the mask that comes with our stamps and we're going to put that on top of the little egg cup and I'm going to grab one of the eggs I think there's three eggs in this collection and voila that turned out so so cute and then for the third Clos we are going to use the little bird's nest let me tell you that thing has so much detail in it and then I wanted to just give you kind of like a closeup of the cabinet door itself and then I I don't know what the the smudge was there probably my I didn't dry it off enough from cleaning it and then you guys having these masks in the new stamps is just so fabulous I love that I can lay them out and play around with my placement now I'm going to flip my SL look at that baby bump it's getting huge y'all um and I'm going to use my de hooks these are on my Amazon um in my Amazon store link along with the rice papers I did not mention that I'm going to measure them in about I think it was like 1 and 1/2 in and then I'm going to screw them in on both sides these hold up to 50 lbs and then I'm going to oh didn't need that clip in there spray it with clear matte by rum I did three healthy coats of this and here's how it turned out this was such an easy upcycle I think it has so much detail in it that I really didn't need to add anything else even the cabinet door itself like is perfectly aged I love it so thank you guys for spending your time here with me today please make sure to like comment and subscribe let me know which one of these wood DIYs was your favorite faite and that you hope to recreate and I will see you guys here again on Tuesday have a fabulous weekend my friends bye taking another piece of that 2x10 I'm pretty sure it is I'm taking sandy blonde by DIY y'all this is like the perfect like Crockery color oh it is so gorgeous all of these if you guys didn't watch my live I showed you all of the new DIY paints I got and if you couldn't tell I'm obsessed so so initially so we're going to paint the back and then the sides but you do not actually need to paint the back just paint the sides with the tan color going over the front we're going to do the same thing we did with the first piece and we're going to paint it white because this is where our Deco Podge paper is going to go I'm going to take this beautiful Deco Podge paper it says t on the little container so just wanted you to know so that you pick up what I'm putting down later all right now you guys please tell me I was like you know what I'm going to take the liquid patina with a big brush that way I could do more in less time now I don't know if I oversaturated it or what happened cuz you can see on the right it like started pulling up almost like it was shrinking or something so do you see on the right how it starts like tightening up and then like popping up on me it was the weirdest thing and the only thing I could think of is that maybe like I put too much too soon or I did too big of sections I'm not sure but it ended up working out so again just taking that finger sander and um getting the excess off now I'm going to take some more molds and we are going to use our clay so I'm using the Doss clay and you guys I think I'm getting better at this I really am it is getting a lot easier I think you just need to keep doing it if you're new to my channel I'm not aan of the clay I rather use the resin all day long however I needed four of these and using the resin just wasn't going to be practical since you have to wait 10 minutes in between each one so I'm going to fill this up all you have to do is um push back with your finger they have little lips around the images so that you can easily push back the clay and it will just take the excess off for you so again I am making four of these I dusted the mold with corn starch just so I can ensure that it does not stick now we are going to go over to our letter molds and let me tell you that don't don't tell anybody I said this but the clay is actually a lot easier for the letter molds than the resin I I will say that but I get the letters made that I need now initially this is I wanted it to say book of tea so obviously you know where we're going with this now however it would not fit and this was another point in my DIY where I was starting to get a little overwhelmed cuz I was like can something just work for me please so I start like I I'm trying here okay it doesn't work so then I'm like let me take tea maybe I could just put tea on the edge but since this is a block of wood I want it to say book so maybe somebody that's not crafty will understand it's a book so I put I move up the tea and then I put the book on the bottom so te book it's not as good as book of tea but I I made it work and I still think it it looks beautiful so to in order to attach my letters I didn't want to put the glue directly on the letters because then I would have a bunch coming out from underneath them so I squeezed some of my wood glue on a paper towel got a paintbrush and I am just um coating the back of the letters uh with the paintbrush that way I'm not getting an overfill of glue on here so I do that with all of our letters yeah you like watching Mama yeah exciting huh now taking that Avary again we are going to coat what is going to be the spine of our book now my molds are still wet so you don't want to put a lot of pressure on them um but I did learn from Aaron at the provincial Farmhouse that when she at least thinks that when you paint over the clay it um helps reduce the cracking so I thought that was really cool information so we are going to go over the spine of the book and then I was like wait usually the back of the book is the same color as the spine not always but majority of the time so this is where I end up painting over that sandy blonde now after that is all painted I just take a lead pencil and I am just making a bunch of lines so that it looks like pages of a book and I'm going to continue to do that all the way around and then when I get to the other side you'll see it's the small details you know where all of the pages come together right there yep I do that little detail as well all right you're going to hear Montgomery breae brething all right so the the little molds that we made last time we are now going to paint them in the Avary once that is done we're going to take clear wax and we're going to wax the um side of the book the sides and the back the front is already cleared with that uh liquid patina so we don't have to clear that I will also put the clear wax on our little Embellishments as well once that is done then we're going to take our dark wax and we're going to stipple that on now remember I put the clear wax on there so that we can easily wipe back the dark wax if you were to put that dark wax right over your paint it is going to like absorb into your paint and you're not going to be able to wipe off as much of it so that is why I go with clear and then the dark wax I'm also going to do the same thing on the spine of our book so that we get those letters to really pop out at you so I put it all over our letters then I'm going to wipe it back I'm going to get my paper towel and I'm going to buff that remainder wax around it so it just looks dark and old and the letters are really going to be nice and bold I take the wax and I also just kind of dust it around the edge edges of the back of the book and then I will also buff that out as well now we couldn't use the green without the Gilded gold wax so I put some on my finger I am just dabbing it I'm not rubbing it I am dabbing it onto our letters and then you are going to see on our little pieces right here how much look it just even this far away the detail comes to life with that gold and we are going to take our little embellishments and I am going to glue those to the corners of our book and that will be it you guys I hope this inspires you to think outside the box I don't think I've seen somebody do this um with the mold and The Deco pod paper but what do I know um so I hope that you guys really enjoyed this video I hope you guys are excited about wood if you want to see more wood Di wi please comment wood down in the comment section but look at that detail you guys the green is absolutely beautiful with that dark and gold wax this Deco podage image is stunning and so detailed oh goodness you guys know my obsession with books this is everything love it let me know which one out of the three was your absolute favorite all right this next one you guys everything happens for a reason so taking this piece of wood I believe this is a 6X 12 um I'm going to paint it with Rich Black by folk art I am going to do the front the back all of that and then I'm going to let it dry next I take these folk art rub on transfers this was my first time using the folk art rub on transfers now I cut out the one that I wanted and I am going to apply that just like we do any other rub on transfer you can use your Cricut scraper a library card doesn't matter just go over you're going to press down very well with it you're going to lift a little at a time if some is still stuck on that paper you just place it back down and keep rubbing so after this you guys I took it outside and I sprayed it with the clear matte by Rustoleum okay as I after it dries I come in I get my permanent vinyl which you see me doing here I put it on and then oh my word do you see that the transfer comes off with the transfer tape and that transfer tape is not heavy duty y'all so like I was like how do I make this work I tried making it look rustic I was like no so I take off the vinyl and I go out outside and I sand it down and it comes out looking gorgeous and I'm like yes yes yes everything happens for a reason this was meant to happen because this looks way better with it sanded down so I stuck the transfer back on I didn't think you needed to see that and this time I put two coats of my clear satin Spar uthane waterbased on here let it completely dry then did my vinyl once again a little piece on the corner came off but other than that nothing happened like it did before then since my wood um had natural um wood chips on the back I decided instead of putting a Sawtooth hanker I was just going to tie some twine up and staple it to the back and look it how gorgeous the wood grain is the distressing that beautiful yellow against the black and Mom oh my gosh your mom would love this mom is the heart of the family love it now this is a great way to use up 2x4 scraps these were already stained I think we used these for our booth to I cut them down to random sizes and I'm just going to take a bunch of molds that like I just had poured and are in my drawer and I'm going to just figure out placement on them what I want them to look like these would be great for teered trays self sitters thank you guys I'm a mess um and they'll be great to resell as well if you are in that market these resin pieces I dyed with a resin dye all right so for this one I am I'm just going to show you what I did to all of them but I'll make it kind of quick so this one we're going to paint it all one color so I'm using my tight Bond quick and thick and then my hot glue we're going to attach those these molds are from the Primitive mold and I did restock all of my IOD products and I added more in there and y'all that new releases coming next Friday the 15th so be on the lookout all right now I'm going to paint this with skeleton key and then I'm going to coat it with big top I decided to do a coat of big top because when I wipe back my white wax I didn't want to run the chance of wiping back that skeleton key off of my molds so once that completely dries I'm going to go in with my white DIY wax and a chippy brush I'm going to stipple that on and all around and then I'm going to take a paper towel and we are going to completely buff that on out using wax to bring your details back out of a piece is such a great use for it because it really does show and feature the mold to the full extent so oh actually I used a microfiber cloth so in case you didn't know the microfiber cloth is going to take off more wax than a paper towel wood so if you ever are like oh my gosh this is way too much try grabbing a microfiber towel and that will help all right moving on to this little piece now this bunny is actually from a prima redesign mold I got it off of Amazon um I don't even know I'm sure it's still available I would think and again I dyed this one with my resin dye I'm just stippling on some wax over this and I am wiping this one back and you can see how that white wax just settles in all the little hairs of the rabbit now for this 2x4 we are going to go in with a pothecary and I am going to coat the front the back the sides I even do the bottoms especially if you're going to resell something y'all just just finish it do it the right way the first time you know what I'm saying um so I'm going to let this dry I only had to do one coat of the Apothecary and then I'm going to grab Whispering Willow or no sorry this is uh painter Leaf florals and you guys I finally was able to order this and have it in stock this is that like watercolor one that I used on last week's video I have it in stock now so I'm going to use these little lavender sprigs here I'm going to cut the excess off and then I'm going to put this uh bigger piece on the front kind of letting it run over the sides and then those two other little sprigs that I cut off I am not going to put those twite I am going to use them so I put those on the back just for a little added detail and then I'm going to take that little bunny head and I'm going to adhere it to the front right here this one was super simple and you guys can go all out with these like you can add as much or as little as you want to for um oh and then we have to seal our paint of course so the bunny we don't have to worry about but that AO theary and that transfer we still have to seal up so I'll seal that with clear DIY w for our third 2x4 this one it's so funny I always have to have an oddball cuz this one does not go with any of these other 2x4s I am going to use this rooster then I'm going to cover the entire piece of wood with weathered wood I should have just left it stained and then painted the rooster by itself but it's all over and done with now I'm going to take Pennies from Heaven which is a copper liquid patina and I'm almost going to like do a dry brush over the rooster so that I can bring out the details of it now I am going to clear this with DIYs clear wax and then one of y'all actually commented asking if I would use the shipped wck ship wrecked wax which is our teal wax so we are going to bring that in to this DIY so like I said first you have to I'm going to clear the entire piece I wanted it to look still matte so that's why I did not cover it with big top or liquid patina and then I'm going to grab Shipwrecked and I'm going to stipple that on to the rooster this is a great way of getting that old patina look and after I am done with that I'm going to take our paper towel and I'm going to buff that on out and it's going to sit into all those details and be absolutely beautiful now I did make this little fabric bow initially I thought with this piece of wood I was going to put the fabric through that like hole in the wood and tie a bow but it just didn't it wasn't sitting right so this is what I decided to go with and then after looking at a million buttons I finally decided on one and then I was I was putting them away I found this like metallic looking one so it sat right in the middle of that but but and ended up being so adorable now this is our last one I don't know which one's my favorite I I think this one is you guys let me know out of the four at the end when I reveal which one's your favorite so I did two coats of kralin on that then I'm taking Roy Cycles catalog paper this paper y'all is great for those of you that are beginning with Deco Podge paper because the sheets are a lot smaller and easier to play around with I'm going to take this Fring look at how beautiful this resin dye is with the oo I love that color so since I'm using my Deco Podge paper I'm going to paint the center of this white after that dries I did take my kralin again and did a dry brushing around the frame so our details pop a little bit I'm going to grab our liquid patina no wait first we got to measure out our Deco Paper so I'm just going to push that in and with what little nail I have I'm pushing that on the inside of our frame to get a quick measurement of our Deco Podge paper and of course I I saved all the the remnants of this little piece I mean there's still there's still images on there I could use and then I'm going to take a wet paint brush and go around and tear this off I like doing it this way versus cutting with the scissors because the scissors leave such a harsh line that if you do not get it perfect it is very visible especially like in the frames so I feel like using the the water and tear method just makes it look a little bit more seamless in there so now I'm going to take my liquid patina and I am going to put a coat on the top half of this first lay my decopage paper on top and then totally place that wrong so we're going to lift that back up and then I am just going to push that down and inside the lip of that frame I'm going to work my way on down and then I am also going to put a coat of that liquid patina on top of the entire image once it is complete now I'm going to take the textures IOD stamp and we're going to put some crackle on there with the stone gray ink now you can't see it very well right here but when we do the reveal you'll definitely see the crackle it's very beautiful I'm going to attach our little frame and of course I couldn't stop there I had to add something more so I got this little um okay well first I'm waxing it then I add this little Crystal knob I put some Gorilla Glue on there put it on the top and it's so cute it looks almost like a perfume box bottle so here's a reveal of all of them let me know out of the four which one is your favorite so this was The Primitives mold with skeleton key and then we have our uh painterly florals transfer with our bunny from the Prima mold and I think this mold is in my Amazon store if it's still available and we have the rooster which I think is from the Florida leas mold maybe and we used our Shi wrecked wax and then I think this one is my doesn't it look like a perfume bottle and you can see like the crackle on the edges that beautiful resin dye gorgeous okay we're going to head in time so this is an 18inch wood round from Home Depot I'm using Sun bleached by verian my microfiber cloth and gloves we're going to stain the front you're going to stain the back and you are going to stain the sides I did stand this prior to staining next I am going to tape off where I want my stencil to be so these are glued panels of wood so usually there is a distinct line for you guys to use making it very easy however I could not find the lines on mine and that rarely happens so I took my stencil this is permanent vinyl and I am going to go ahead and put that on use my rich black folk art chalk paint and mini roller all of the supplies I use are in my Amazon store link if you head over to my channel we are going to go ahead and weed that off easy peasy right all right so after you're done weeding that we're going to try something a little different so I've been seeing people make these wood rounds with prints and it's sublimation I don't have stuff to do that so I figured you know what let's try it with tissue paper we do it for other things why not a wood round so I'm taping off where I want my tissue paper to stop or start however you look at it I'm going to use The Spar urethane this is the clear that we're going to coat our wood rounds with so all we're doing is substituting this for Mod Podge which you could still even use Mod Podge so I'm going to coat this a light coat I'm going to get our tissue paper and I'm going to lay it on top now you guys I know there's different ways of putting the tissue paper on but it worked for me so this is what I'm going with so you're going to lay that on I'm going to start tapping this do not rub or you're going to rip your tissue paper it is so thin so just keep patting it down and then you're going to bring it all the way up to the edge and I will show you once I flip this around I do the same thing I coat the bottom but this time I like folded the tissue paper in half and it made it so much easier to control and again we're just going to Pat this all the way down and then you're going to I let mine sit and dry overnight just to be safe I really wanted that that tissue paper to harden up next I grab my rough sanding block from Dollar Tree this is my favorite sanding block ever I'm going in downward motions right on the edge we're taking off all that excess tissue we're going to do that all the way around our wood round and it comes out Flawless you guys so once we're done with that we're going to grab that Spar urethane um water base I'm going to do two coats on the front the back and the side this clear is um meant to protect your wood signs from the elements of being outside so after we done we're done with that and we let it dry we flip it over and I'm going 4 in in on each side and attaching my de hooks again all of this stuff is in my Amazon store link if you head over to my channel so we're going to screw those in I'm going to grab some wire Jew this is just from Dollar Tree and it's seriously my favorite way of hanging my wood rounds it works great after you're done with that we are going to go ahead and make our bow so grabbing some burlap ribbon from Dollar Tree I cut two 17in strips you'll actually need to cut three though and we're going to glue the ends together I also cut a 6in strip we're going to make like a little cylinder out of that all right and now I'm going to make two tassels um I have a lot of beaded like Garland videos I'll attach those in my hot video if you want to check out how how to make these um I'm going to go ahead and string some more twine eight wood beads cuz I wanted four beads hanging on each side attach that second tassel and now we're going to put our bow together so I'm just squeezing all of our elements together grabbing a zip tie this is like my like secret I love it it works so well once you have that bow where you want it you're going to tighten that up cut the excess off now this is heavy duty velcro and it is my favorite way of attaching bows because then you're not committed to keeping that bow so now I can change it to be blue red I mean whatever I want so um I actually on my front door right now I've had a wood round up for about 2 months and with the velcro and I mean haven't had any issues so we're going to go ahead and attach this to our wood round and we are done you guys I hope you loved this wood round and I hope it inspired you all right y'all I hope you love this wood round I hope it gave you some great ideas on the possibilities that can be had with them it doesn't just have to be stained and paint there are so many things that you can do with these beautiful wood rounds I hope you loved this and I can't wait to see your Creations head into the garage for this one I'm going to use a 1x6 and a 1x3 um this is just a random size piece of wood I just grabbed what I had the 1x3s I did have to measure out so we are going to take those 1x3s and we are going to cut them down to size so what I do for that is I lay it next to the side I will mark it off and then I will draw my line as to where to cut now we're going to go cut that piece and then we're going to come back and then now I'm going to do the front so our two sides are done we're going to mark that off and then draw our line and then I'm going to share a little Pro tip Pro tip here wherever you cut your line so this is the piece that I want up here I want to cut below this cut line cuz you have to factor in the width of your blade so if I were to cut directly on to my line line or on the opposite side of this line my piece of wood would be too short that's what I accidentally did with this one is I cut on the wrong side of the line so I had to recut it cuz it didn't fit so now I'm I'm talking and I forgot what side it was and this wood is not straight so so I need to cut on this side it would be too easy for these to like match up right way too easy hello these we're not going to build a bathroom box but these are great ways of building the toilet paper holder boxes I have one in my um in my bathroom right now so this one's like a little longer but we're good all right now we are going to sand our pieces I'm just using 400 grit sandpaper um these are nicer pieces of wood cuz they came from like our remodel but usually if it's a rough piece of wood I would do 80 grit and then 220 grit now we're going to put our box together so I am using tight Bond wood glue I am going to glue them to our bottom piece of wood the sides and then we'll do the front and I like to always cut the front longer than the sides because the front is what is usually going to be the uh front of your piece we're going to clamp those we're going to leave it to dry and then we are going to bring it back inside now I'm just going to put in some Nails I put two on each side to attach all of those wood pieces together and then on the back I'm going to put a nail through the bottom to ensure that it is also connected to the wood on the inside I'm I'm going to attach our molds this bunny again this is from the Prima redesign mold and I am going to attach it with our wood glue and our hot glue and then I'm going to take these little floral bundles I think these come from the farm animals mold it they have like Little Flower bundles in them and then like hay sticks sticks of hay and I'm going to use these These are actual candle holders they come from the wood pile section at Hobby Lobby and I'm going to attach them with wood glue and hot glue now my preference would have been to use JB Weld on these because y'all I mean no matter if it's wood glue or not if I were to drop my box the legs would pop off so um I would say if you're going to sell JB Weld is awesome for legs um I decided to do a custom color so I mixed Petty Co pink with cowgirl coral and this is going to give us a soft peachy color it turned out absolutely beautiful we are going to just do one coat all over the box and the inside and then we're going to take our DIY clear wax and we are going to coat the entire box but we're going to do it in sections because we're going to apply white wax to this so I am going to apply it stippling it on especially to push it down into the details of the mold and then I carry it throughout the entire um box and I am going to use a paper towel for that again use microfiber cloth as well if you want to take more of that wax off and then in the reveal photo I'm actually going to show you it before any kind of wax is on so you get an idea of what that paint color looks like dried down but it came out absolutely beautiful so this is before I applied the wax the color is so soft if you have cowgirl Coral then you know it is such a bright color and petty coat pink is a super light soft pink so the combination of the two ended up being just what this box needed and then here it is with the white wax pushed into all of the details I love the little legs they just make this box complete and y'all this is like a heavy duty box it is heavy I love how this came out love it for our all right this next one I'm keeping too this was a scrap of wood it's like a huge block I don't even know what this wood would be called and I am taking plaster by Waverly and again you guys you do you if these aren't your colors if this isn't your Vibe use the idea and use like your own graphics and creativeness but I just want to show you the the concept behind it so I'm going to paint the front the back and the sides because this is going to be another freestanding um sign after that I'm going to take my Dollar Tree twine I'm going to hot glue a piece of it to the back of my piece of wood now I'm going to go around it four times nice and straight and I'm making sure that I'm holding this very tightly I do not want this twine loose at all then I go around it like four more times but a little bit more messy and then I stop and I'm like oh this is a boho Vibe I need to add something else so I grab my natural wood beads and I am just going to string them on to this piece of twine I put about five on I don't glue them down so like you can actually move them group them together whatever you want to do I just make sure that wine is nice and tight and then I'll tack it off on the back with some hot glue so after that is done I take my uh design that I made and for my members I know I already released these designs I'll give you another link because I put this one in there too so um I'm going to take the rainbow and I'm going to do the rainbow first I didn't I don't know how to I don't know how to work my Cricut I'll learn okay so using the stencil vinyl I'm going to do three different colors and if yall didn't know this is my vibe for baby M's Nook so yeah I'm definitely keeping this for sure and I'm using mustard by arasa this is like their outside acrylic paint I'm going to do two coats of each color then I took like a bunch of different pinks I think I took hazelnut Sandstone which were like Browns and then diva pink acrylic paint and made this beautiful like mauy mavy pink color now this next color is sandstone this is the new color from Waverly so you can see how light it is it is like peachy peachy tannish I don't know it's like the perfect neutral color so if you do see the Sandstone um in the New Waverly colors pick it up cuz I feel like this is going to be a color to use all year long so you could see see how it looks against the plaster love it so after that's dry I'm just going to add one final addition and that is going to be putting mom on here I love this this comes out so cute and I'm just going to use hazelnut for this color and like I said if the rainbow isn't your Vibe you know like put flowers or a butterfly or whatever like your mom represents to you that is what you can put right in this space or just a saying and this is how it turned out you stick your photo right in that twine and I love it it makes me smile so big I cannot wait to put a photo of myself and Baby M in there and it just goes with her Nook so well for our last wood DIY I'm going to take more of the 2x8 again this was another shelf from the booth and I just cut it up into different size blocks now if you've been on my channel for any amount of time then you know I like to recycle my throw pillow pillow cases from my couch so this is just from a pillow case I'm going to cut it down to size now this isn't um like a burlap or anything like that so I have to pull the thread apart on this with my weeding tool but you know what it it works it does I'm going to break into to the whispering Willow transfer and y'all this is the most perfect transfer for spring and summer and it has tons of birds in it so definitely grab a booklet I do have it in stock I finally decided to use this bunny and you and you guys the transfers adhere to almost any and every surface um I did not apply anything to this fabric I am putting the transfer right on top and then pushing our transfer down just as we usually would we're also going to burnish it and push that down into the fabric and then I thought it was missing something so I'm going to take the millets pages and they have this that booklet has a little bit of everything but I wanted a butterfly I thought it needed a little something in that upper left corner so I'm going to apply the butterfly and then we still need to seal this transfer so I am going to do a light coat of liquid patina you do not need to oversaturate this where your liquid patina is going through the fabric just a light coat once it is dry I'm going to lay it back on top of our piece of P wood and put the lightest strip of hot glue this is going to hold it in place don't go overboard or that glue is going to come through your Fabric and then I'm going to take those Furniture pins once again and I'm going to hammer them into all four corners and this was such an easy way of utilizing some scrapwood and you can do these with all different transfers stamps I mean options are absolutely endless even a deco poding napkins onto the fabric would work don't mind me I forgot to stain the sides before doing the rebu but I hope you guys enjoyed all of these wood
