31 Days of Prayer

foreign three well good afternoon everyone um thank you um those who have joined us here in the sanctuary and those that are joining us online via live stream welcome today 20 4 of 31 days of prayer have you guys been enjoying spending time in the presence of the lord i'm talking about dedicated time in his presence amen and so here we are on day 24 and throughout the weeks we've prayed about growing spiritually in our relationship with christ we've prayed about growing in our relationship with each other and we've talked about growing in our character that was last week and this week we're talking about growing in our faith community and so um wherever you find yourself on that spectrum of needing to grow we've made prayers available about it but the relationship really is between you and the lord we're all at different levels so everybody may not get the same thing at the same time but we serve a god who's gonna make sure we get what we need do you agree amen and so while i'm up here facilitating prayer today this is not about me it's not about me being on the microphone the whole time that we're praying um i don't i don't know i'm gonna just be honest with you i don't know how god is going to lead us but what i do know for sure is that he's going to lead us in prayer today and so um i was thinking about before i came out here even that a lot of you have been joining us or coming to the sanctuary on a regular and a consistent basis and sometimes when we do things regularly and consistently although it's great we get stuck in a routine and we can get very familiar with the way things are done and if we're not careful we won't make room for holy spirit to shake us up a little bit and so i'm going to take the liberty in the holy spirit right now to ask you if you've come into the sanctuary and you've always sat in the same spot i want you to feel free today to move around a little bit even if that means you have to come down to the altar or if you want to walk around the sanctuary but change your position not that you can hear god any better over here or up here or out there it's just that we don't want to get so familiar with how he moves that we don't give him room to take the limits off okay and so as i'm praying i want you not only to press in and to pray with me because this is our 31 days of prayer i just want you to surrender and allow god to move in your life you say evelyn we've been praying going on 24 days now and god has moved and god has blessed and god has healed and god has changed me but don't you want more i said don't you want more aren't you hungry for more aren't you thirsty for more praise god so just press in today move around if i'm praying and you want to worship just worship because i believe when holy spirit leads us all things will be done decently and in order and even now as i'm talking i'm surrendering all to him i love him and i worship him and i adore him and i surrender all to him and on friday night we're having friday night fire and i hope you're able to make it out it's going to be a time of prayer and a time of worship and more room for god to move in our lives and to equip us and to prepare us for what he has next in store for us we don't know what god is up to but you know what he's up to something and even when god is not doing anything he's doing something even when we don't see it he's what he's working hallelujah so i'm gonna ask you to stand to your feet as i read a few verses of scripture and these are the verses of scripture that i'm going to pray out our focus again for this week is growing in our faith community and i don't know that everything i say will directly involve our faith community um but but i'm gonna try to stay on track with the assignment but as i said earlier i want holy spirit to speak to us if you agree let me see let me see i want him to speak to us i want him to have his way while we pray and commune with him so i'm going to read from the book of matthew i'm going to start at chapter 6 and i'm going to read verses 9 through 13 and these are the scriptures i'm going to pray out today and i've already felt led to give a block of time where i'm not going to be on the microphone and i just want you to talk to god however you see fit as i said earlier if you need to come down to the altar doesn't mean you're down here repenting it just means that you know the significance of laying yourself on the altar as a living sacrifice right if you want to walk around the sanctuary and worship it doesn't mean you're trying to be different and unique you just understand the power of worship and allowing god to move in your life amen i gotta know you guys are with me today right praise god it says in the uh sixth chapter of book of matthew starting at verse 9 it says so this is how you should pray he said you should say our father in heaven and i'm reading from the easy to read translation it says our father in heaven we pray that your name will always be kept holy verse 10 we pray that your kingdom will come that what you want will be done on earth the same as it is done in heaven [Music] verse 11 give us the food we need for today forgive our sins just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us don't let us be tempted but save us from the evil one for the kingdom and the power and the glory belong to you forever and ever amen let's pray father in the name of jesus we thank you for your word we thank you for the power of your word we thank you for the significance and the importance of your word and today holy spirit of the living god we pray out your word the scripture says that your name would always be kept holy [Music] so when we speak your name even right now as we lift our hands in this sanctuary to worship you [Music] we say that your name is holy and that you are righteous in all of your ways we reverence who you are we respect who you are you are holy and pure and wonderful and magnificent in all of your ways where your spirit is there is liberty and there is a certain amount of freedom that lets us know that we are in the right place at the right time serving the right god who is righteous when we say your name jesus power is made available to us [Music] oh jesus [Music] and we come boldly before your throne [Music] oh god you're holy your name is holy your word is holy [Music] and we will not forget [Music] your holiness your majesty your splendor [Music] when we come into your presence there is a weightiness of your glory that overtakes us and there is no question and there is no doubt that you are in the room [Music] and so holy spirit we welcome you and we make room in our hearts for you and we give this faith community over to you as a living sacrifice we lay it down on the altar and as we pray corporately we say holy spirit of the living god if there is any isms or schisms divisions political divides belief and value pro divides and divisions things that are causing this community not to be as one not to be unified we bind it right now in the name of jesus and we render it helpless in your presence because under a holy god we will be one in the spirit we contend for the unity in the spirit of your church [Music] your kingdom come [Music] not our little kingdoms that we keep trying to build but your kingdom come not the empires that we want to build but your kingdom come your will be [Music] as it is in heaven [Music] are you guys praying with me today [Music] [Music] we rebuilt the spirit of division [Music] and we declare today [Music] that you are king of all kings citable shot and lord of all lords and in your kingdom [Music] we will see it filled with love [Music] the god kind of love [Music] the kind of love where they will know that we are your disciples because we love one another [Music] we will know your kingdom has come when there is peace [Music] there is no infighting [Music] no opposition but where there is peace that surpasses our understanding why because it's weightier in authority than our understanding even it is superior that kind of peace hallelujah hallelujah we will nowhere in your kingdom when we operate in this faith community with honesty and truth there is no pretension there is no fake or phoniness in this faith community come on you guys are you praying are you in agreement hallelujah we will know that your kingdom has come when we see humility [Music] when we can swallow our pride and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of god and allow you to exalt us in due season we will know that we are in the kingdom of god when sin is once and for all defeated and no flesh glory's in the presence of god that's when we know your kingdom has come hallelujah oh hallelujah we will know that your kingdom has come when evil is defeated by the power of holy spirit jesus thy kingdom come come on holy spirit thy will be done we will know your kingdom has come when people feel safe in the house of the lord and they can grow in their gifts and their callings [Music] because they don't feel attacked or belittled or less than or inadequate we will know that we are in the kingdom of god he shall know the anonymous he came [Music] [Music] we will know that when we come into your presence and your kingdom is here we'll know we're in the kingdom when we don't even care anymore how people look at us what they think what they say we just know that we're in the presence of a holy god hollow it be your name we know we know we know we know that we're in that place when others achievements are celebrated [Music] we know we're in the kingdom when we're celebrated and not just tolerated jesus [Music] you'll know that your kingdom has come [Music] when we throw aside our inhibitions and we take the limits off and we press into the presence of a holy god and we've prayed for 24 days and we're not just going through the motions but we've seen you move and we know that you're able to do exceeding and abundantly above all we can ask to think that's when we'll know thank heaven that we're in the kingdom of god oh bless the lord o my soul hallelujah i said hallelujah glory to god he's worthy he's worthy he's worthy of our praise i said he's worthy hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus oh bless him i said bless him he is worthy he is worthy hallelujah let it be done god in earth as it is in heaven oh jesus oh jesus give us food spiritual food for today tomorrow is not promised but today we need the manna from heaven we need that which nourishes us we need that which strengthens us give us this day and [Music] jesus [Music] god let us be careful where we eat [Music] we can't eat at everybody's house and we can't eat everybody's food put us on a special holy diet [Music] so what we eat gives us nourishment what we eat revitalizes us for the work ahead what we eat strengthen us for the journey we can't eat everybody's food it's not good for us so give us this day our daily bread and forgive us [Music] oh jesus forgive us our sins every time we miss it forgive us mercy is available grace is available forgiveness is available so forgive us our sins the same way we've forgiven others of their sin and trespasses will bless his name every individual that wronged us that cheated us that disappointed us [Music] talked about us ca abused us misused us we forgive them because we need your forgiveness lord hallelujah whatever they owe us they can keep it we need jesus whatever they said about us doesn't even matter anymore we need jesus hallelujah hallelujah lord don't let us be tempted to go back to our old ways [Music] don't let us be tempted to go back to the bondages that you've set us free from hello glory to god don't let us be tempted but save us from the evil one hallelujah jesus this is how you told us to pray you gave us a pattern how to pray hallelujah you said we're not tempted above whatever we're able to stand but you will give us a way of escape help us to look for the way of escape so that we are not overcome by the evil one jesus [Music] somebody's looking for the way of escape right now they don't even know how to say no you know [Music] but right now god in your presence whether online or in this sanctuary you are opening the door of escape so let them get out get out get out get out somebody say get out this is your moment to escape the shackles are loose get out no no no no he's not worth it she's not worth it get out of here you can't put a price on this get out [Music] oh jesus jesus jesus jesus if you haven't read the contract don't put your name on it get out hallelujah jesus jesus [Music] somebody needs to hear that one more time would you guys say that with me get out come on come on come on get out [Music] okay that was your last chance get up oh [Applause] the more you pray the more we make progress in the spirit hallelujah oh thank you jesus thank you jesus hallelujah the more we pray the more power is made available to us and if we never needed the power of god before we need it right now yeah we're living in a world where we're seeing things and hearing things and doing things that we've never heard that we've never seen that we've never done before and god is saying come to me come on back come on to me come on to me all of you that are laboring and heavy laden with the things of this world and i will give you rest but you gotta come you've got to come hello and it doesn't matter how long you've been saved let's throw those numbers out the window right now because some of us have backslid more than we care to confess but god knows everything and he's saying let at the altar build an altar in your heart and bring it to me come unto me come unto me play time is over some things are about to come to the light but this is your time this is your place you'll know that she kept nothing on both sides you'll no longer get it on my side you don't pray for 24 days and expect god not to expose some things [Music] come on holy spirit have your way yeah [Music] when we finish this hour some things are going to be broken and some people are going to be set free by the power of the holy spirit yet that honorable that's why we pray not a lover that's why we praise that's why we worship hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah thine it's the kingdom and the power and the glory forever o god it all belongs to you it all belongs to you [Applause] yes [Music] we owe you everything we owe you everything and we will withhold nothing from you our lives are surrendered to you right now in say holy holy hope is your name you are true to your word you said you came to set the captives free and you have set the captives free so we said thank you you said you came to deliver us and you have delivered so lord we thank you [Music] you said [Music] that you would give us a love that would be everlasting and you have loved us with an everlasting love for that we say thank you you said you would heal all of our diseases and you have healed us and for this we give you praise and glory and honor and majesty belongs to you jesus in the last few minutes that we have together wherever you are in the sanctuary would you lift your hand as a sign of surrender and let's just give god our best praise we worship you god we adore you jesus hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah god we give you our best praise because you alone are worthy of our praise honorable we worship you we worship you right now in this place and those that are watching online lift your hands and worship him wherever you are how can we repay him for all that he has done i guess we'll just have to worship him hallelujah lord we thank you lord we thank you hallelujah we could never repay you for your goodness we could never repay you for your mercy and for your grace and for your love and for your kindness so we just say thank you hallelujah [Music] hallelujah from the rising of the sun until the going down of the same your great name will be praised jesus we love you we love you we love you thank you jesus oh jesus we love you oh jesus we love you [Applause] we love you with all of our hearts with all of our strength here with all of our mind we love you and we put you on the throne of our life and we put you on the throne of our faith community and we say there you are and there you will stay jesus oh jesus and there is nothing that will separate us from your love no height no depth no principality nothing shall separate us from your love oh god oh jesus oh jesus sickness no disease [Music] no friendships no relationships [Music] no money no material possessions [Music] nothing shall separate us from your love oh god what shall we say to these things [Music] if god be for us [Music] who can be us what shall we say to these things the principalities the powers that be the diseases that ravage our land what shall we say to these things [Music] the things that are and the things that are to come what shall we say to these things [Music] the internal wars and the struggles and the mental attacks what shall we say to these things [Music] if god be for us who or what can be against us i heard the word of the lord say that we are more than conquerors because he loves us hallelujah there is no battle that we will ever face that god has not already won the victory [Music] it might look like you're defeated it might look like you're not gonna make it out but i heard the word of the lord say if i am for you i am more than the world against you greater is he who is in us than he that is in the world i'm more than a conqueror that's what that's what the word says more than i'm not a conqueror i'm more than a conqueror because he loves me so much so that he gave his life for me who wouldn't want to serve a god like that [Music] i am convinced even now as i'm speaking that this 31 days of prayer is about more than just prayer it's prayer but it's about more than prayer because any group of people can pray for 31 days but not all of them come out on the other side victorious and i believe that when it's all said and done we will be victorious and we will not only be victorious but we will walk in the liberty where with christ has set us free i believe that [Applause] [Music] and the cry of our hearts [Music] will be my name is victory anybody want to know my name is victory because in him i live i move and i have my being yeah hallelujah lord we bless you i said we bless him because he's a worthy god and he's a right now ever-present god thank you jesus thank you jesus if i had ten thousand tons it wouldn't be enough to say thank you jesus hallelujah hallelujah [Music] jesus well that concludes our hour of prayer here but that does not mean we have to stop praising and praying to him so if you came from work while you're driving back to work keep on praying keep on praising if you're at work keep on praying keep on praising hallelujah he's worthy if you're watching us online just keep on praying you don't have to be out loud just pray in the spirit under your breath at the workplace in the home because we serve a god who is worthy of our praise amen god bless you you are dismissed
