300 PRC AND 7 PRC AT 1080 YARDS

[Music] [Music] hey guys so today I'm going to shoot couple uh fairly new calibers um 300 PRC and 7 PRC um so both of them have bartline barrels one in a Twist um 300 PRC used to be Christianson arms now with bartline barrel and this is a custom buil 7 PRC with chos arms action and Bart line Barrel as well uh I'll be shooting my hand load uh with 300 PRC I'm running um 230 grain Hornady the a tip uh 2750 ft per second for 7 PRC I'm running 184 uh Burger uh hybrid at 2950 ft per second and I'll be shooting at 1,000 80 yards and it's somewhere over there right there yeah I let's see how that goes today minimal wind is this thing is all over today I I'm going to shoot one more shot to eliminate one of the uh I don't know if it was a flyer but it was it hit on the very bottom so I'm going to Discount that shot was the third shot so I'll shoot one more I really don't like it I'm so low three of them were pretty much in the same spot still on the bottom anyway so this is the group from 300 PC not great but it's okay um couple shots were really really low um there were three pretty much in the same spot bought one two and three and there was one two and three really really low so let's measure that and see where it's at well typical sluggish 30 caliber right here so not surprised okay so this would be probably uh 15 no 15 in so not too hot uh yeah I'll paint that over and I'll shoot it with the 7 PRC okay let's do it with 7 PC now o is is let shoot one more since I shot six with the uh 300 PC shot number six that's a pretty tight group be six or8 Ines at the most well let's go have a look at it so this is a 7 PRC group at 1080 yard so substantially smaller than 300 PC and uh quite more efficient than uh 30 caliber uh just always a hassle and always um always really finicky with low development 30 calibers so huge difference in accuracy in my opinion okay that's it thanks for watching
