3 trailers for THIS?! - Wheels & Deals

[Applause] what's up everybody so uh i got uh three trucks three drivers a couple of helpers and we're out to find some cars i got a couple of trucks located in lagrange texas we're gonna try to grab those today and then first thing in the morning we're gonna head over to brenham texas home of blue bell ice cream and uh we're gonna try to get a couple more vehicles bought gonna try to do four vehicles in 48 hours or less let's go see what happens all right so we're about what two hours into this trip which is about two dollars and i just got a text from richard to say to call him which is never a good sign ever yeah what's up you wanted me to call you yeah so i just talked to the guy with the four trucks he's good to go but meanwhile tony just got a call and the cars we're supposed to look at tomorrow the 55 chevy and the toyota land cruiser are a no-go they have had a family emergency and uh they gotta reschedule oh that sucks so we're down here and we're gonna have empty spots empty trailers and i need to fill them up so get on the old interwebs i don't care the face thing or the the to fill i don't want this thing to be a bust and lose our profit because we go home with empty trailer space i'm looking for that smart guy that's lived in this area forever he knows where the cool stuff is okay we'll take any and all leads we can get but gotta say you know we're looking for that guy that knows this area like the back of his hand and knows where all the cars and trucks are okay all right all right i'm on it two empty spots makes this whole trip then hang up the phone so like so i can like work now [Music] you guys got to park all the way over there yeah it is that's what we're looking at but let's go meet the guys and see what uh what they got for us what's hobbs was the last name okay shows what i know shows what i know so i appreciate getting with me on these trucks we've been working on this for like three weeks through the old interwebs huh right right very cool very cool so this is them i hadn't seen the pictures so what's the deal uh you said that you were fixing to start retiring and do this for a living or something do this i need somebody to sell these plates car picking all right well i've been doing it for about 20 years and treated me too bad i promise you yeah uh strike hard and strike fast so this is a pretty wicked little truck i don't think you got to look under it chase to see how much rust there is ain't bad yeah but this is a bad thing here problem but i know but they don't exactly sell these now you have to get two and make one well we'd have to get four and make one because there ain't a whole lot of these four doors you notice this one's got a lot of doors this thing is super cool though huh now these are these are pretty rare what year is this truck 69 that's when i was born there you go all right so this one's uh got a straight six and oh it's got a got a big block in it oh it's always under the r well it's got something in it probably not worth much huh the truck was running when it was parked the reason it was parked is because something in the manual transmission broke okay the guy was leaving the bar he put it in reverse backed out shoved it in first something went bang and he was stuck in first gear well so he drove it home in first gear well he didn't get in trouble him and go in the bar he wasn't exactly speeding was he 69 crew cab that's really cool all right chase we're on to the 53 it looks like it's had some uh some silly work done to it killer killer 70s interior check this out tilt wheel bucket seats green green carpet gold dash gold grill gold everything it's really not rusty this is going to blow your mind yeah i think he told me a little bit about it look at this 1873 turbo chrysler diesel no kidding i think they were made by nissan that is crazy i think we get it did you notice the buick riviera steering wheel steering column i did notice that tilt wheel even yeah this has got a cool patina to it i don't see much rust at all i mean surface for sure but it's not rotted out it's still railing in a straight axle so nobody mess with that oh it is turboed over here look at that huh that was some genuine ingenuities right there holy cow do the cap corners and everything on this one chase look good yeah bottom of the doors the inside of the door boxes man it really is sir well let's get a deal done on this because i didn't know you had all these things here and i brought some extra cash what the deal is wait a second i hate it when they start with what the deal is you told me you were buying these two trucks big family okay in 2000 there was a big fight in the family over this truck because one brother loaned another brother twenty thousand dollars to build this truck okay he went off in the military sending money home to his wife his wife didn't give the money to the other brother oh okay he comes home out of the military one brother says hey where's my money well i've been giving it to my wife she's supposed to give it to you boom big old fight then the guy died well that's no good but i've heard worse stories because usually you know one brother goes off to the war and the wife is giving the other stuff to him yeah and now it becomes a big problem that's another story about the wrecker driver [Laughter] oh goodness so you told me you had both these trucks bought and i could pay you finders fee and we we got to negotiate that but i'm going to stick to my deal that i made you on that one but you made me on this one too and he's starting to [ __ ] or starting to walk on oh damn it's still for sale but he's fell in love with it i've told these guys do not fall in love with these vehicles well in love with your wife no tell him to [ __ ] it he'll get tetanus his dick will fall off and i'll get the truck real cheap exactly exactly yeah that's a good idea so uh i was really counting on this truck to make the deal work because that one's got a lot of rust repair but it but the cab itself is rare yeah well what do i got to pay you for the finders fee because you kind of told me what you paid for them and i got a i got to argue out the finders fee with you one right there fifteen hundred dollars for the truck five hundred dollars for the finer fee that trucks are two thousand all right i own that truck it was supposed to be the same deal on this one but like i said he washed on and rubbed on it fell in love with it so how do we make this deal happen as soon as he gets here you tell him i'll either give you two thousand dollars or i'll walk for you or whatever you want to do that's entirely up to you all right well if you'll get here pretty soon cause it's getting dark i'm hungry i've been driving it's kind of weird getting down here uh you know because i'm used to going to austin or houston and it's pretty direct this is kind of way off in the middle of nowhere yeah yeah yeah yeah i apologize for this guy falling in love with this truck and i knew that well you already did all the work and drug it out and everything even if you do buy it he's gonna put some money in my pocket all right well let's see uh let's wait on him on this then phipps we own the four-door uh so we can figure out where we want to put that what else you got here for sale looks like you got a lot of stuff yeah i don't need that dodge anything in there we can look at i don't know how old is this building built in 1941 used to be the international harvester dealership no kidding how'd they pull it off in 41 i don't know well the war didn't start till 41 i was thinking 42 would have been hard to get the building built next year that roof is cool all wood and everything so are all these your projects or people's projects this is mine that's his i've got another little jewel over in the corner the rest of it is all customers and putting that one back together for an older gentleman oh like a little patinated hot rod or something little uh big window i don't know about the old colored wheels and everything on this one this one is a you don't want nothing to do with that i do not good idea poorly executed it's a ketchum's wood yard this was his grandpa's truck this is the truck he learned how to drive i love stories like that see that's cool he brought it in here want to do a resto mod i said all right it's gonna cost you 20 20 grand put uh suspension motor transmission and rear end in it and brakes and make it stop then what are you going to do for 20 grand more than i want to spin blew your budget what are you gonna do with it he said what do you recommend i said well let's just look it over real good see if we could just make it go again breathe some life into it yeah just cruising around town we were just like she is so this is real uh lettering from back in the day back in the day that's super cool looks like you got a rat rod over here well that's exactly what these things are this is right up richard's alley right here well it used to be we uh we cut our teeth on these things back in the early gas monkey days for sure hey you got a student camino back here huh studemino no not from here oh you got an international in this yeah i saw that yeah an old international i'm still enamored at the student amino or the l uh the student i don't even know it was confusing enough when you didn't know whether it was a car a truck now you don't know if it's a car a truck or a studebaker or or or anything you don't know 80s el camino these this track kind of cracks me up but i don't want it but it's funny well i think your uh guy showed up on the uh on the the 53 ford fat fender this truck's really cool i really like that yeah all right so it looks like our gentleman here on the 53. richard this is chris chris richard ron how you doing right on right on well tell me about your 53 uh hobbs let me in on a little bit well uh just recently picked it up and cleaned it up a little bit i've been looking for an old truck for my son that's my friend back there landon and rylan and he's actually looking for a 48 52-ish you know chevy okay everybody loves a five window oh yeah they do so we saw this and we kind of came across a good deal on it and we started kind of tinkering with the idea of maybe going forward instead of chevy but heard you were interested in another vehicle that my buddy here has and you know before i decide to get into delving too deep in it just kind of it's crazy with the uh with the diesel motor and the and the 70s interior it's got a kind of sexy patina the outside needs to be beat down and sanded on and all that but it's not not too rusty it would be nice i mean i drive diesels and stuff and if you get it running it it'd be cool i mean you don't see that very often well my new guy chase is a diesel dude so maybe he could figure it out but uh we already got a deal with hobbs on this one so what is it going to take to buy this one i've already looked at it well i mean solid trucks whenever i got to it i thought it was going to be like common ones you know a-pillars and stuff being rusted out and everything and i mean going around cleaning on it pressure washing doing things i mean i don't really you know see too much wrong with it but there's a little bit here and there but yeah but the main stuff is okay for 20 years you know but my thing is also looking around i started looking at parts and looking for these vehicles and not very common especially around here you know finding one for sale and i really don't have a huge figure to go off of i've only seen two others on craigslist that i can yeah a loose mind off of but you know more about these than i do well i thought i had it bought uh for two grand okay and uh that was kind of the deal that we made and i mean for me it was sight unseen i just i saw pictures of it i was like well you know i'd be interested in that sure then i got here and it's not that bad well it is and it isn't uh because nobody's gonna like that dieseling and all that in order to get big money on it you gotta go with uh i was even thinking rest so much taking this down cleaning cleaning this up gonna take some work media blast well i wouldn't do that i i know i'd sand it down and get it smooth and then uh shoot it with a flat clear but but it's cool two grand won't bite what do you think bud could you go three i really can't um i'm gonna hope to do you know a week's worth of work on it and get four-ish maybe 42 you know if you know because i'm not going to get it running i'm just gonna give somebody the better look at the project and put some wheels and tires on it and yeah stuff like that got wheels and tires and everything i've got an ability to get the title as well but for me i mean how long will it take you to get a title that i can't tell you time frame well i mean but the guy that i got the truck from is the living executor from what i understand okay that's not too bad death certificates and things like that definitely not too bad in a small town like this in dallas that'd be like a year really oh god it's a mess i mean i don't know 2500 i do 2 500. done we got it thank you thank you very much now i got to get my guys to get them loaded well and you don't even have to help with that no but i think we got some motivation for that too well yeah yeah why is that oh no yeah i get to drink the beer because they get to drive yeah so very cool i appreciate it again man we'll get load hey guys let's figure out where we want to put these hobbs we got that deal done good here we go cool so i got to get some money for you two guys uh where's my truck oh there it is right there in front of me all right guys literally you can just hit that's mine see fired work like that out here in lagrange well thank you guys let me talk about guys and figure out how we're gonna get this stuff loaded so here's our since we've we've come short on the other load i think we need to keep that one open and this one open just in case we find something on the road and just stuff my trailer with the two bricks well this this they roll won't they it's kind of any road around here and go down it you're gonna find yourself oh i know i saw a lot of stuff coming in so i think we just load my trailer with these two and then leave the other two open okay the only problem i have with that is i'm winchless that's all right we've got millennials for that we can roll on for that right so they got tripods where are you going to get your trailer in here uh one i'm gonna yank this one's gonna go on the rear this one's gonna go on the front so i'm gonna jack knife in here and then pick it up and then turn back around and then i'll winch that one on the street and pull it up all right the time's wasting make sure we got all the doors shut the latches latch we don't want nothing blowing off especially off of this one let's just get it on there [Music] what we can't hey thanks for the good deal on these trucks they're really pretty cool i'm sorry that uh we got a snaggle for another extra 500 on this one but it happens at the end of the day they're on here they're good to go and uh you know what my hands are still clean see you back in dallas [Music] so richard told me you didn't really want to get this running but me being a diesel guy i got a gear run so we got some fresh cat fresh diesel a new fresh ish battery and uh hooked up pump up to it we're getting the air out of the system and hopefully we hear it run find out hey well that was pretty easy uh we're still getting air out it's not running just yet what are you doing in there though so we're cracking injection lines to get the air out of the injection lines so that way because if there's air in the diesel it's not going to run it'll run but it won't run very great just like you just saw so go ahead and crank your fibs okay so we're getting air out of that one oh we got big league filter huh got a leak on the fuel filter [Music] [Music] there all right let's hold up [Music] control the fuel pump so we're only going to turn it on when it when we're trying to win polymer will crank we can also make a switch yeah but we're going temporary temporary it's almost quitting time so this is a redneck rigging yeah going cranky fits with the fuel pump okay let me clear my throat we're running all that nasty diesel that was in the fuel system is it smoking back there no but the smell of it is like ratchet it's smoking a tad are you oh just thought you just hung out here all the time and it contains using wires all the time so there you go i'm sorry i have a real job that pays real money and not beer money i got you're not getting any beer ready go ahead he's got fresh diesel he told me one out two two okay well it's been like one and a half ish this one's been 15 minutes all right this goes back to that six inch you said there's two wires and some dieseling i would say that ran down not ran up or ran well i got a month or two his left hand is on it my left hand's broken i got this [ __ ] yeah how did you throw that out i don't know okay dude let's do no puff this time maybe we're getting too much rich okay go ahead how much do i win on this bed anyways well he don't like breaks just look at the video they're going to put in here he hates our video here we're getting white smoke i thought we were going to be rolling coal i thought we're going to be bad ass like big little puffs of smoke and [ __ ] so bad gun dieseling we got an injector going on but the train so we're going is stop there it's a run it runs all right i'll give you that man it runs it's a runner i don't think it runs very well no i need some help but this is some jerry rigged up looking stuff right here [Music] i never liked jerry all right can we go back and drink a beer now better all right you guys clean up your mess me and sean will take care of the beer whoa what's up everybody so we ran down to lagrange texas just a few days ago and snagged up two pretty cool ford trucks that had been sitting for a really long time we drug them off the trailer threw them in a parking lot and we tinkered with the brown 53 because it has this weird diesel motor in it we thought it'd be fun just to see if we could get it running and we did but not driving not anything just barely running i'd say sort of running we put a couple of teaser shots out there on the web people found out what we had hey lo and behold i got a guy he called me up we made a deal boom they're going on the trailer just like they are they're going out east we made a nice profit on it it's definitely worth our day's trip so you got some cars you want to sell you got some projects you want to get rid of i've always got a stack of cash and a trailer and we're willing to come to you thank you very much for watching stay tuned we're gonna have some badass [ __ ] in 2021 i'm really excited the
