in case you don't know our mission here at sorted is to get people into the kitchen talking about and cooking great food because of this the guys at Tesco have asked us to take some everyday ingredients and use them to create three incredible dishes this week we're looking at sliced white bread Ben made me a sandwich well sandwiches are good but today we're gonna do three awesome recipes using bread are both sweet and savory Ben sandwiches are amazing but let's do these recipes I'm making an apple and berry Charlotte if I make it a panzanella salad but first we're making her be chicken gu John's I think of these go John's like adult chicken nuggets we're gonna take chicken fingers and we're gonna put them through flour even break comes but the bread crumbs are amazing in GU John's we trust in goose we trust what we gonna do it's big stuff bread with fresh dill parsley zest of a lemon salt and pepper and next up we've set up our palais system so that beaten egg flour and i'll gorgeous herby breadcrumbs heavy on the herb they smell lovely but look at that that's the color you want Green crack some eggs into there I would like to get some flour for this bowl and slice up our chicken into finger sized pieces so then while the chickens on the board we've done is try and keep them all roughly the same size we need to seize them up take the chicken strips pass them through flour and then if I keep sort of dry fingers you can do the wet bit into our beaten egg and then into our herby breadcrumbs you know I said but he'll keep his fingers wet and I'll keep mine dry it will save you panning your fingers oh I like this bit could you have beef Bhushan's or pork the good job turkey GU Jones with work when they tell you that through my knowledge why are you a steak man or on the statement I think GU John might could be wrong I think he won refers to the shape so actually it could be fusion of anything once it all covered into nice hot oil so you get a sizzle but you need to cook the chicken all the way through so they look at too hot otherwise the britons will burn before the chicken that's time to cook and while they fry off need a couple minutes on either side we can make a really simple dip so it's just two part mayo to one part whole brain must know I love whole-grain mustard this is an incredible dip but if I ever got bored of it I would replace the mustard with sweet chili sauce yes look a lot for color that's the crunch and color you want are all over that ah have a whiff of those it smell great that's where the whole gray coming to their own sort of life as you fry them off gorgeous delicious well that well and truly looks like our herby chicken GU Jones sorted next up a panzanella salad to a rustic kind of salad chop everything up bung in the bowl add in the bridge and it soaks up all those amazing juices it that basically mean tasty soggy bread tasty so keep it that's pretty much it yeah so I can tasty don't go together but it does until you try this you just never know first up you're going to cherry tomatoes if you can have all of those and meanwhile I'm gonna chop up peppers yellow and red into thumb sized pieces keep everything roughly the same size and once you've got peppers and tomatoes done the same thing I'm gonna do red onion you're going to do a cucumber with you so can you pretty much put anything in this salad yeah I guess they personalize it like different tomatoes heirloom tomatoes different peppers asparagus is really nice raw chopped up into it making it rings did you make this for you put fruit in it summer pudding but kind of tossed together what brilliant now everything needs to be close together into one big bowl so all the peppers onions tomatoes cucumber and then rip up some basil into it and a very very finely diced clove of garlic like any good salads we need to season up so salt and pepper and we make a very simple dressing out of two ingredients a splash of red wine vinegar and a good glug of extra virgin olive oil and then of course our star and green in the bread and then we take a couple of slices of that and I'm literally just ripping up into chunks don't cut it just rip it up and the best part about this salad is you can make it where head if you've got a barbecue or something and then the break kind of gets better and better as it soaks up all those juices pinkos just so many barbecues what does he do advertise it does a lot of stuff ahead but we never actually found out one does at the time drink what I'm thinking is that all of his time is spent preparing yes a time yeah so actually know times being saved to talk no but it means that time with your friends and family on the barbecue you can everything I do right I'm ready to serve this you here we go so better if you leave it for a good couple of hours at room temperature trying to avoid putting this salad in the fridge because moving the flavors are better at room temperature but look at that incredible sailors grab some fresh basil which once a person wearing do you know which one the buzzer they don't put a pressure I always run the puzzle is find a bit of seasoning dribble of extra-virgin olive oil that is our panzanella salad sorted I like any good meal let's finish with dessert this is light the star puddings older sister so that's kind of like soggy bread with berries but this version is dunked in butter and baked it's amazing it Charlotte so these parents named one daughter summer pudding and another daughter Charlotte yeah and I prefer Charlotte we're going to do is start off with a bowl and some melted butter I'm gonna flavor the butter with cinnamon and brown sugar so you can just mix those together and it's the flavored butter that we dunk our bread into so we need to carve the bread into pieces that will fit inside of a dairy or mole so lots of circles and then lots of rectangles all in outcross two things bend one you're not gonna have strong bones cuz you're not eating your crusts number two what are you gonna do with those crusts well you can't eat them but you could eat them in a different form so for example if I give it to you next time we make goos Yun's we can use crusts and for these ones you don't have to cut the carcass off you just need to cut out a circle that's gonna fit into the bottom of your very mods like that so perfect fit in which case don't get one side in your sugary butter and put sugary butter side down okay then do the same with your rectangles sugary butter side on the outside and then we're gonna cut a bigger circle to go on the lid repeat that for time with those done we need a filling and the filling is very very simple its equal quantities of berries these were frozen boughs we just defrosted and applesauce like a generous dollop of both and mix it together easy and then the filling goes into this if you can't fill those for up yeah while I grab also some lids so left over sugary butter cinnamon is more bread there's slightly bigger cutter to the base now I know Ben that you'd love to make things not other time that you need them but slightly ahead at that time and these are perfect for that because once they're made they can sit in your fridge just bake them off in an oven and they're going to need about 180 to 200 resales to your support 20 minutes to the nice and golden and crispy and then you can serve them about your barbeque and a barbeque and remember this time you want buttery side on the outside again so this time it's soaked up once you've done four of those onto a baking tray into an oven 200 degree Celsius for 20 minutes now once the charlotte puddings - come out the oven and rest it up - they're still warm but not baking hot it's a good time to turn them out so grab yourself a bowl just turn it upside down and with a bit of luck abracadabra Alakazam what's under here it's Charlotte Charlotte there we go a pretty gorgeous sort of Maine time you absolutely can just lit with a bit of double cream as well that's a gorgeous little dessert that is our Apple and berry Charlotte sorted bread all right let's see we think all right you know you could do bliss up make a soup and your guy gazpacho fine it's so simple mmm right these best of both worlds bit of sauce bit of hurdy crumb yeah favorite so far Lay's amazing spread open do it crispy on the
