- Hey, it's Aurelius. Welcome back to the channel. In this video, you are going to learn how to convert texts to videos using AI. I'll share a few tools
and options with you so that you can give it a try, experiment and try it out yourself. But one thing to note with
these text-to-video generators is that you shouldn't
have high expectations. It's not going to create
something cinematic or anything like that since
it's all kind of experimental. So if you simply want to give it a shot, give it a try, and perhaps
even use some of these clips for your videos, then, yeah, why not? But let's run through
some of the tools now. Okay, the first text-to-video
tool that you can use is perhaps the most popular,
and it's from Runway. They have a tool called Text to Video. If you don't see this after signing up, you can look at Popular AI Magic Tools and it's right here, Text/Image to Video. They call it Gen-2. So if you click this, it'll give you this field
to enter your text prompt, just like ChatGPT and other AI tools. There are a few options
you can start with. You can upload your own image here and then it'll create like
a moving video from that, or you can enter a prompt right here. Let's start with a text prompt first. I've just entered, "a robot
walking in the forest, sunset," and click on Generate. You can click on Free Preview, and then that'll preview some examples. And here's what it produced. I'll play it. It's only four seconds and that is the limit with Runway's Gen-2. And something to note,
even on upgraded plans. I'll click play. (gentle music) You can play around with the settings. If you click on the Settings option, and there's options to upscale,
remove the watermark too, but you do need an upgraded account. There's also an option to
smooth out your frames, but it was already selected by default, and this is the result, right? You can download the video
by clicking on download, and then that'll save it directly. Generating videos does
consume seconds or credits. So if you look on the top right here, it's got I've got 89 seconds left. How much does Gen-2 cost to use? Well, Gen-2 costs five credits per second of video generation,
so one credit equals 1 cent. Next, let's go ahead and upload an image to see what it produces. So I'm gonna drag and drop
it to the image area here. Okay, it's uploaded. Let's click on Generate. And just for reference, I'm
not putting any text prompts, so I just wanna see what it
produces based on the image so that I can convert it
into some sort of video form. But you can go ahead
and combine both image and text together, using
the image as a reference. And here's what we got. I'll click play. And, yeah, here's the moving deer. I'm not sure. It's that a little boy watching, but that's what it's produced. And obviously, if I enter a
text prompt, be more specific, it might produce a better result. But I mean it's taken
it from a static image and then converted into
kind of moving a deer. In terms of pricing and plans with Runway, it starts at $0, obviously. And if you wanna sign
up for free, you can, and you get 125 credits. The downside is that you'll
have a watermark on the videos and you can't upscale or make
your videos larger in size. So each month, you'll get 125 credits. Whereas on their standard plan, you get 625 credits per month. And this is all based on
a yearly annual plans. But that's to give you an
idea of its pricing and plans and what you actually get if
you just sign up for free. And moving on to the next tool that can convert text to video. And this one's relatively new. It's called Pika Labs and
it's currently in beta. So you can join. You join for free. And what this entails
is a Discord channel. It works like Midjourney
where you are entering prompts to convert text to images, but with Pika, you can
convert text to video. Once you're in, if you wanna
learn how to get started, look in the getting-started channel. It'll give you some direction and also some tips on
how to write prompts. Where you enter the prompts is in any of these generate channels. So under Generations, where you can see other videos
that people have produced. To share some examples with you, let's go through some of
these public ones available. So we will play this one here. It looks like some AI woman right here. And we've got this guy in the forest. A few fiction characters here. We've got water and fire. But let me show you how to
actually enter a text prompt so that you can convert it to video. So where you see message, simply enter the forward
slash on your keyboard, and you can see /create. That's the prompt you want to go for. Once you see prompt, this is where you enter the text prompt. I'm going to put in the example that they provided in the
getting-started steps. So a robot walking in the forest, sunset, Enter, and see what we can come up with. And one of the downsides is
that you simply have to wait for it to generate, as there
are other users as well. Okay, so my one just
popped up, as you can see. And here we go, let's click on play. And this is what it looks like. They do have a three second limit with these videos and clips. You can download your generated videos by clicking on the download button on the top right corner of the player. You can also regenerate the video, clicking on the button right here, and then that'll enter the prompt again. Hopefully, giving you a different result. And here are a couple of other variations. We've got robot, and this is
much clearer than the other. Here's another version. This one's not so much
in the sunset though, But, yeah, that's Pika. Fun to use, good to experiment with. And as I mentioned, it
is currently in beta. The next text-to-video AI
generator is from Gencraft. If you go here, you can describe
your creation in detail, similar to all the others where you've got this field
to enter your text prompt. I'm going to use that exact same example. So robot walking in the forest, sunset, and see what it can produce. I'm going to click on
Video instead of Image. You can select the style as well, from Cartoon, 3D, Anime, Ink, Streetwear, and some of these other ones that you see. Pretty cool that they
have this ready made. Clicking on Advanced Settings, you can exclude things from the results. I feel Gencraft does have a
more user friendly interface compared to Gen-2 from
Runway and also Pika. But let's go ahead and click on Generate to see what it can produce. And here we go. We've got the robot in the forest, sunset. It does have all that. But the quality, yeah, I mean
that's quite questionable. And it only produced up
to two seconds of footage. There is an obvious watermark
with Gencraft on it, as you can see. If you download it too, there will be a watermark
unless you upgrade. Here are the plans and pricing. You've got Free, you got Starter, and Pro. So Pro, unlimited prompts. Other notable things on the Pro include commercial usage terms. You've got no watermarks, obviously. No storage limits on your creations. On the Starter plan, you can generate up to 25 prompts per day. But otherwise, on the Free
plan, 10 prompts per day. And the good thing about it is that you can track it by
checking Refresh Countdown. So this is when your prompts will refresh. So that giving you another
10 for the next day. All right, so what I'm going to do now is enter the exact same
prompt, even though I did use that robot in a forest,
sunset prompt before, but let's go ahead and
try something different. We've got futuristic
interior design for 2035, luxury, chick and elegant, see which out of the three
produces a better result. Gen-2's already generated the video. Let's click on play. Oh, that is pretty cool. That shocked me. That seriously does look
realistic in my opinion. Now, here's the result from Pika. I will click play here. It is not as great. It's kind of a still video. You can, I guess, make it
pan and zoom a bit more, but it's kind of all mushy and it's not as detailed as you can see. And finally, let's give Gencraft a shot. Here's a result, right? Not that great, not as
detailed, not as realistic. I feel that watermark
really is in the way. So out of the three, obviously, Runway's Gen-2
produces the best result, as you can see from the
exact prompt that I entered. But there you go, that's how you can convert
text to videos using AI. As you saw with some of these examples, it's not all perfect, but as AI and its models
do progress and advance, so will the results. If you got value from
this video by all means, give this video a thumbs up. I'll leave up a couple of relevant videos for you to watch next. One related to converting text to other forms of videos right
here and another right here. Thanks so much for watching. Do take care. (gentle music)
