hello everyone and welcome again to my YouTube channel today we are going to do the lab of uh the redund interface in pet firew so let's get started so I will go under the interfaces I will create a new interface name will be redundant and now I will select the type what will be our type so we want a redundant interface okay it will be a logical interface okay but we will be combining MTI multiple interface under that logical interface but this is not a ether Channel okay ether channel is known as aggregate interface see this one we are going to do the rended interface now interface numbers 4 two and three okay whichever land facing interface now what will be our IP I will give 10.1.1.1 sl24 what all things we require over here https SSH I will receive L LP message gscp server so that our land users will get IP I click on okay after that I will give a static route 19 to 16801 click on okay okay now we will create a firewall policy say rule one okay I'll say land to Van will be our incoming interface redundant if I click on redundant it will see two ports p 2 and three now we'll select the pan interface Source will be all destination will be also all service will be also all I'll C all sessions and click on okay after that I will create a reverse policy R to land incoming interface will be Port one outgoing will be the redundant interface all now service will be also all we have configured two policies but here we don't require the N okay because this is an incoming policy only land toand requires V to land we don't require uh you know that uh KN night BAS poliy now we'll configure the switch is g [Music] 0/2 mode access by default it's access but then also I'm giving it as access access V Land one now I will configure this two [Music] ports range I'm sorry now switchboard trunk capsulation oneq switch for mode trunk now I will see the what I can say the spanning tree these areal listening learning now they will soon coming forwarding state learning okay that is not an issue yeah now both of them are in foring state I see you can see there are two redend interface so even if one port goes down we have a redundency okay that's how it works I can conclude that span entry is not working over here okay as both the ports are up so at a time two ports are getting utilized okay we have a rended interface not not actually utilized it will eventually use one p only but uh you can say we have a redundance now we will do the actual testing ICP your process is working now I'll try to Ping the internet see we are able to Ping the internet what if now I like uh shut the uh one of the port okay logical not possible we have to go under that uh the r interface forli and we have to do that and to be honest even I don't know how to do it but you guys are aware right now like what why we are using rended interface okay even physically this is a lab scenario but if if you guys are working in networking industry if onite if any one of the port goes down okay then you can utilize these ports the other ports so that is the main function of this redundant interface in 148 I hope you guys would have liked this video stay tuned for the upcoming videos thank you
