$295 vs $7000 Guitar | Cheap vs Expensive | That big a difference?

[Applause] [Music] hi folks a big thing on YouTube has always been comparing highly expensive care to their more affordable counterparts and today I'm doing the same let me show you what I'm talking about [Music] here I've got two guitars that share a lot of resemblance but this one is worth $295 and this one over 7000 but both guitars have solid Sitka spruce tops both guitars have rosewood back and sides both guitars are a dreadnought body shape in other words aren't they basically the same guitar with price differences this bizarre is often quite interesting to hear and see what the differences actually are so let us hear that please [Music] ever heard of a thing called the law of diminishing returns that basically means that the higher in price you go the less it will show in terms of quality usually a higher price gives you better quality but doubling the value the price doesn't double the quality you could try to make a guitar worth over $50,000 but then you just have to add diamonds to a guitar and we can all agree adding diamonds to the guitar doesn't make the guitar any better in fact can you say the same about all the fancy details on martin the bindings the inlays it adds to the value but does it add to anything other than that [Music] [Applause] but what about the lower in price we go how low can you go is there a limit you could have a guitar it just just doesn't stay in tune tune but that fretwork things can just break it could be almost unplayable none of this is the case with the Orangewood guitar I believe it is in the matter of where the guitar is made or how fancy it looks I believe it's about the materials used the craftsmanship the love that went into making guitar and if the guitar has been properly set up [Music] [Music] Martin is highly regarded for its acoustic guitars it's a number-one flattop guitar seller in the world and also they invented dreadnought body shape the guitars we've been playing today and the thing about Orangewood is that they don't have physical stores the guitars are built in Indonesia and being set up in California that's why according to them they can keep the prices low quite happy to announce that today I'm partnering up with orange wood to give away two of these guitars to my patrons on patreon just as a little thank-you because they make these kind of videos possible [Music] [Applause] [Music] so is there a real big difference to me there is but one thing that's very important to understand is that all acoustic guitars sound pretty much alike it all sounds like an acoustic guitar but if we zoom in on that skill yeah there are lots of differences and also this conclusion is drawn with the experience of playing a lot of different guitars I know what to listen for and I know what I like so is the orange wood a bad guitar no not at all it's been nicely built it's been properly set up and maybe some songs would even sound better using the orange wool guitar it's little more twanging it has less low-end the Martin Schneider across all frequencies more balanced in the orange wood sounds just a little more thin but as I said it's all in the subtleties thirties as well I hope you liked this video and let me know in the comments section what you think about the differences of these guitars is the margin worth the money why do you think about the orange wood what would you buy and if you liked this video click the thumbs up and subscribe to my channel hit that notification bell it's fun to be notified by my videos have a wonderful day Cheers [Music] [Applause] you [Music]
